Kazuki stands at 6'2, and weighs in at around 140 pounds. He is little more than skin and bones. He has long brown hair and dark brown eyes that stand out in contrast with his pale skin. Kazuki's standard apparel consists of dark colored t-shirts and v-necks, usually a black or gray, and dark blue jeans year-round, no matter how hot or cold. It never seems to bother him. The jeans are not quite skinny jeans, but they are tighter than most. Kazuki always has his watch on his persona, whether it's on his wrist or in his pocket.

An exhausted Kazu sat in front of his dimly lit laptop screen, as usual, typing away at his latest review. "Final Fantasy 30 X-5 was very much like the previous four games," A yawn escaped his mouth as he mumbled his typings to himself. Not much could be seen in the small, square room other than his messy bed, the stack of CD's and game discs in the corner, and the stereo next to the laptop. Kazu had been awake for the last few hours working on the latest review from Square Enix's eternal series, Final Fantasy. "This truly," He paused for a yawn. "Is a series that will never die...Ever." He groaned. The game actually kinda sucked. Like the last ten or so. "Square Enix has run out of ideas yet again, and is just spamming the same concept with slightly different concepts." As his article came to a close, he grinned. Another few hundred dollars in the bank. "Signed, Kazuki Utada."

As soon as the article was confirmed to be sent, he closed the window. It's about time to hit the sack...Gotta check my email first. Kazu attempted to rub the bags from his eyes and yawned. He double clicked the email icon, opening the multi-boxed system. He began to scroll through, "Spam...Spam...Fan mail...Spam..." He scrolled through for a few moments before he came across something different than the usual. His contact in Cloud's development team had sent him something. "Cloud Update...Breaking news?" He opened the file and began to pour over the contents. I see...Extra special announcement...Log in at 00:01... "That won't be a problem." Kazu was used to late nights. Midnight would be no problem. His readers would love to hear about this!

Kazu yawned as he closed the email box. "I'll write an article...Get paid big time probably." He sighed and fell back on the bed behind him. So soft...Nap time. His jeans may have been a bit uncomfortable to sleep in, but he didn't mind. Kazu could sleep soundly through a hurricane.

A bright ray of sunshine flooded through Kazu's room and fell across his face. Dammit...I was hoping for at least a little more sleep. He rolled out of bed, flopping to his carpeted floor. "I was supposed to do something today..." The writer mumbled to himself quietly, "What was it?" His thoughts began to be processed.

Miscellaneous: In the real world, Kazuki is a writer for one of Osaka's more successful newspapers, which sends its articles out both through paper AND on the internet. Although he isn't known worldwide, he is known throughout Japan, gaming sites, and many hipster communities as one of the best writers on his topics. His special expertise comes to computers and video games, which led him to join CLOUD. He basically lives on it, since he is able to upload the stories he writes straight from CLOUD.

Although Atlas has a sword and shield, and is very capable with them, he never uses them unless he feels that his life is in danger in that particular moment. Usually he prefers to use his fists in battle. Although he tackles the higher leveled challenges, he refuses help, as his need to prove himself gets in the way. He will, however, help anyone who would dare to ask the hulking Minotaur. He has not joined a guild since he started on CLOUD because of his love of dangerous situations. He spends about 90% of his time in STORM.

There were some complications in the real world, but I'm back here until more stuff arises. I'll read through completed sign ups now to see who is accepted and who isn't. I'll edit as I go! :)

Rosie stands at an average height of 5'5" (165cm) and a healthy 165lbs (75kgs). She's curvy in a way that she enjoys her body, as most of her weight goes to her hips and bust. Her name suits her hair -- long, wavering, reddish locks flow from her head at the envy of her friends with her brown eyes reflecting her cheery personality. Her face is round and pretty, with a few freckles dotting her chin and her cuspids (topper teeth) slightly crooked and pointing out. She's decently fashionable, wearing clothes to compliment her figure with splashes of colour thrown in to brighten herself. Her ears are pierced, eyebrows thick and her smile is rather dashing.

Complimentary clothes include cute dresses, shorts and tees -- mainly of the latest fashion. Her favourite print is floral.

Rosie uses CLOUD for its social aspects; she is not a gamer. She collects items (some battle-related, like swords, helmets, etc.) but most of her rare collectables are event items and clothes. She also likes to go to parties and uses her DREAMSCAPE to immerse herself entirely. Sometimes she has pre-drinks offline, which hits her as she gets online. She never misses an event and frequently attends concerts and shows.

Rosie closed the door behind her, slipping down and smiling to herself as she sprawled her legs and arms on the floor. Tonight had been really good. She'd met a cute guy, had a few drinks with him and the two of them had really gotten off well. She would have considered asking him out on another date if he wasn't going back to his family in New York for next semester tomorrow. She sighed, picking herself up and waving her arm in the air to bring up her lens HUD. It was almost 4AM already, and Rosie could see the sun peeking up at the horizon through her window, filling the sky with shades of pink and grey. She would have to go to sleep sometime soon -- she had class today. Well, not until later today but she'd rather turn up conscious than tired.

She managed to find her way into her room, slipping herself into her pyjamas and quickly checking her CLOUD messages as she did so. There was the usual -- SPAM mail, updates about sales she already knew about, but what piqued her interest was a message from a friend. A close friend, actually, not one of those people she added or randoms she had met at parties, but an online friend. Most of her offline friends were probably asleep but where Ash was from, it was probably still daylight. Knowing she'd regret it later, she lay down on her bed with her DREAMSCAPE on, logging in.

She found herself in her Daemon body, entering one of the private lobbies in CIRRUS. Soon after, Ashnn1n entered.

"Pumpkin! It wasn't urgent, you could have just come on later!" Ash chuckled. Her own Daemon was that of an owl-themed angel. "What is it, almost 3AM?"

"Almost 4AM, but it doesn't matter, I was already awake. I'll go to sleep soon," Rosie said, shaking her head at Ash's almost apology.

"I'll be quick then." Ash, with a flick of her wrist, brought up her online HUD, swiping through her inventory until she found a letter. She handed it to Rosie, the system detecting it as an item transfer and deposited it into Rosie's inventory automatically, then appearing in her hand. She quickly read it.

If you log into your CLOUD account between 00:00 and 00:01 a week before the new update, you will be given a special sneak peek announcement, giving a hint on what CLOUD's revolutionary update might be about. Spread the word! Don't miss out!

Rosie's eyes widened, quickly inspecting the note to see if there was anything special about it. There wasn't anything specific about the note that she could see, other than it was in a small envelope with a CLOUD seal on it. "Where'd you find this?"

"A friend cleared a STORM dungeon and found it at the end." She felt Rosie's question coming on and answered it. "He's not the guy that would forge this kind of stuff. So I trust him. It's legit."

"Did he just give it to you or did he duplicate it?" Rosie handed the note back, watching it remove itself from her inventory. Ash laughed at Rosie, shaking her head as the note appeared back in her hands.

"It's non-duplicatable. Took a few persuasive messages and a photo but I got it in the end. Still not sure if it's worth it. But what do you think?"

"I'll have to check it out later. Is that today? A week before the new update?" A quick check of the date already answered that question. Dammit, she'd have to be on this afternoon. Not that was a big problem, only that she had a few classes on and she'd have to come late to one of them. "Yeah. Today."

"Well I'll be there. Make sure you spread it around. Or sell it around. I don't care, people are stupid." It was Rosie's turn to laugh. "Anyways, you're going to bed now, right?"

"Yeah, I guess." Rosie glanced at her clock. It was heading towards 4:30AM. "Yes, oh my god yes. I'll catch you later Ash."

"No worries. Bye, Pumpkin!"

A swipe of her HUD and Rosie was back in her bed. She gave a sigh, putting the helmet on the ground next to her and rolling over and letting herself fall asleep.

So we have the option to retain our identities and happen across a poor individual that had a colored key? Interesting. Oh! And since our items were taken, does that mean that our Daemons don't have whatever interesting clothing they were wearing before? Or would it be more like if the clothing had abilities (like I said mine did), the abilities have just been removed/locked for the time being?

The email! Kazu remembered he was to log in at midnight tonight. He yawned and stiid up from the floor, his back only slightly aching. Awesome. Free stuff. Kazu grinned. Usually early announcements involved giving rare items, an awesome article idea.

Kazu stepped into his shoes and yawned again. "Time to do stuff." He stepped out of his apartment and took a deep whiff of the air, sighing promptly after. "Gotta love that polluted air." It seemed that the smell of his favorite city grew worse and worse every day.

His favorite coffee shop, however, never changed. The Taka's Perch was one of those independent coffee shops with great coffee and free wifi: Kazu's dream coffee shop. He sat down at a window seat in the corner and unslung the laptop bag from his shoulder, removing the expensive computer. He set his laptop on the table. He looked out the window and sighed as he scanned the heavily populated sidewalks. "This is gonna be great." He cracked his fingers and leaned back in his seat.

@naku: jsyk you lose your key you lose your identity. you said "cancel credit card" but you wouldnt be able to access it at all. like if you went somewhere and needed some form of ID and they checked you up, there'd be nothing to your name. just your name wouldnt even be accessible. nothing. so its not "not a big deal" lol your character now has no money and no way of obtaining money (legally at least).

ps keys are NON-TRADABLE ITEMS soz you cant just give it to someone else. they have to be killed to be taken.

also the monsters blocking the portal... are literally blocking the portal. theyre low levelled but the require more than a shove to get rid of. they also drop the level 1 items for your first class. so lol naku you just missed out on basically on of your only chances of actually getting items
