Nudity and Nude Art

I'm personally not a huge fan of it, but I'm still okay with it. If I had the choice to keep or get rid of it, I'd still choose to keep it.

On the other hand, I do think if clothes had never been invented, the world might be a slightly better place.

It is a decision which has rights founded solely in the involved individuals.
Aside from those 2 or more (the artist & the "art", etc...), nothing needs be said.

I think it's more a statement to human beauty, free of any gender associations.

If you're talking specifically on the internet, which you seem to be, then I am fine with it as long as it is classified as such and hidden by default with an easy-to-find option to enable it. I take issue with any site that is not a site dedicated to pornography yet fails to meet this simple guideline.

As for public nudity in real life, I am opposed to it. I believe our current laws and traditions regarding exposure are necessary and sufficient.

I honestly don't care. Yeah, I think we should respect the ideals of others in which we have nudity be covered in public places, but really, is a body really that wrong? I wouldn't run around nude (namely because I'D GET COLD) but it's not exactly a bad thing.

I love drawing nude characters and not because I'm some horny bastard or anything (I don't draw porn), but there's something genuinely beautiful about the human body that's absolutely enticing to me. I don't see what people find so offensive about it, never did.

Nudity is an art. I don't think it should be shamed. And there is a difference between art nudes and participants in pornography. A painting like The Birth of Venus is NOT in the same category as hentai containing naked chicks doing BDSM or getting tentacle raped.

Personally, I wouldn't dare go nude, but people can if they want to. We are allowed different lifestyles. I don't want to think of the definition of a "normal" life as being that of a boring person who works in an office, is very square and uncool, and gets very little free time.

Wow, I'm honestly a little shocked - I didn't know that people thought it was wrong to be nude. Especially in art! We're born naked, there's nothing inherently wrong with being naked. Even right now, you're naked underneath your clothes. Your body doesn't stop existing just because you're covering it up.

I currently work as an art model for the classes at my university. I pose exclusively nude. So you can probably guess where I stand on this issue. I really love my job. It's so.. it's just awesome watching people learn and slowly get better as the classes go by. It's really cool to see so many different takes on how you look, too. And I will admit, the idea that dozens of art students are drawing my awesome body is kind of cool. I think it's perfectly natural that nude art is such a thing - the human form has a lot of meaning to everybody (being that we all, you know, have one of those). It's just... it's just something we have contact with everyday, why wouldn't some people draw it?
