Oh, well Nincada will evolve into Ninjask, and then a Shedinja will appear in your party as well in the spare spot.

Ah, thank you. Bulbapedia nor Serebii.net were clear about this. Serebii just said 'evolve nincada'.
Will it still work since I stopped it evolving to ninjask once?

Yep, the Shedinja created will be the same level as the Ninjask and have the same moves. So you could evolve a Nincada on lv100 and get 2 lv100s for the price of one.

The quicker one attacks first.
If the speed is equal (which is highly unlike) then it's most likely a random pick.

Just letting you know it's the same thing with any increased/decreased priority move, the one with higher Speed goes first if two Pokemon use the move at the same time.

If the two Pokemon's Speed stats are equal, the one who moves first is randomly decided.

The only problem is that it's got 1 hp!? I even leveled it again just now and it didn't gain any. What the heck? This makes it pretty useless. >_<

That's the thing about Shedinja, it will only ever have 1 HP. But its ability, Wonder Guard, makes it only take damage from super effective attacks. So only moves that are super effective like Bite, and indirect damage like poison call faint it. Moves like Surf have no effect.

That's because it has the Wonder Guard ability. It can't die by attacks unless it's a super effective move or an indirect damage like struggle, Spikes, Stealth Rock, Toxic, Will-o-Wisp, & weather damage.

So the only way to beat Shedinja is with flying, rock, ghost, fire, dark and indirect damage.

I am trying to meet the Blender Master, but I'm not getting any more TV events - I have already completed the main game / elite four etc. Berries are still ripening and the game is still saving - the battery is definitely good.

How do I trigger TV events?

They're completely random. They'll happen eventually, just keep checking.

I've been checking regularly for months now, and I've heard other players with the same problem (stopped TV events in old saves).
And TV events are always up after beating the elite four for the first time.

Do you have a basis for your belief that TV events are random?

Get Flygon, Aggron, and Manectric up to level 50 at least. Try posting your team, with their movesets btw, in the in-game team help subforum in Battle Center. You'll get much better help there with your team. For a sixth Pokemon btw, I recommend a Fire type. The Champion is a Steel type specialist (though he has other stuff). Camerupt is pretty slow, but it's reliable. If you want something more speedy, there's always Ninetales. Make sure you get Flamethrower at level 29 before evolving it though.

Do you have a basis for your belief that TV events are random?

Vaporeon7 probably got that information from Bulbapedia. I checked myself and it does say they're random, so it's not his belief, it's posted by a reliable Pokemon site. It's also rare too, unfortunately. And if your battery is dead, it won't happen anymore.

http://bulbapedia.bulbagarden.net/wiki/Lilycove_Department_Store#Rooftop_Sale < If you wanna read more.

While I'm here, my Emerald battery went dry the other day, but every time I boot up the game, it doesn't tell me that anymore, though it always tells me on Ruby and Sapphire that my battery is dead. Does Emerald just not feel the constant need to rub it in your face that the battery is dead like RS does or did it perhaps lie to me? I figured it'd keep telling me like RS does, so I'm not entirely sure.

Once you evolve Vulpix, the only thing Ninetales will learn level up in gen III is Fire Spin, which isn't that great. This happens to most Pokemon that evolve with a stone.

Ah! While I'm here, some good grinding tips: Gabby & Ty are good to battle over and over. Equip your lead with an Amulet Coin to get more money so that you can buy lots of healing items. The Pokemon Breeders on the route between Mauville and Verdanturf are pretty good too, as they have a full party.

Do any time events happen? Because I swear I've had the same problem with my cousin's Emerald, but then the battery just started working again after I played it in a different Gameboy.

Really? That's very odd. It just happened last night and I don't really plant berries like I did when I was younger, so I suppose I could plant one as a test and see what happens. I'm not far enough to check and see if the Shoal Cave is working either. But yeah, I'll plant a berry next time I play and see if anything happens. Maybe it was a slip up? Cause I have had this happen with Sapphire long ago. It said the save file was corrupt, deleted my save, then I turned it on to play an hour later, and the save was back. That's mainly why I was asking about the battery, since I know these games seem to enjoy tricking me.

Is Lostelle's uncle seen or mentioned in Pokémon FireRed and LeafGreen Version?

Lostelle is a lost little girl, who a player character must rescue from a wild Hypno. Her father runs the Joyful Game Corner while her uncle runs a shop outside. So, is Lostelle's uncle seen or mentioned in the game?

Well, if her uncle runs the shop outside, then...wouldn't that make the guy running the shop her uncle? It's been a long time since I got to that point in FRLG though, so my memory is really rusty.

EV training and wild pokemon

I decided to do some EV training for the first time and I came across a shiny Gastly!!!

I put my Ditto and Gengar in daycare and hatched the egg. I EV-trained the lvl 5 Gastly (Which is now lvl 19) and then I encountered the shiny Gastly. So my question is...

The Gastly I was EV-training has gotten 45 EVs(In special attack).
If I..
1) Level EVGastly to 25 without encountering pokemon that would give me Special Attack-EVs
2) Level ShinyGastly to level 25 and getting exactly 45 Special Attack-EVs

Will one of them be stronger than the other or will they be the same?
Will they have the same Special-Attack stats?(Maybe a liittle different due to IV)

--Right now--
My slightly EV-trained-Gastly:
Level: 19
Hp: 42
Attack: 18
Defense: 18
Sp.ATK: 55
Sp.DEF: 22
Speed: 38

Shiny-Gastly:
Level: 18
Hp: 41
Attack: 21
Defense: 17
SP.ATK: 41
SP.def: 17
Speed: 37

Could you tell me the natures of the Gastly, It'll help a bunch.
