I'm not sure what we will get this time. I think a bunny rabbit legendary would be cool. A DRUNK bunny rabbit legendary.

... But technically Victini is a rabbit-like creature, no...? It'd be kinda boring to repeat the mirage legendary's species in a single row like that!

... Still hanging onto the messenger squirrel idea over here. >w>;

Perhaps (Being the region is based loosely on France), the mirage Pokemon will be Cupid-like, to represent the romanticism of the country that the region is based on?

Given they do make a Pokemon based on the whole "Love" motif, I hope it isn't overly obnoxious in appearance. Multiple images of horridly done Fakemon based on the same concept have flown through my mind as I typed this x_X

Oh gosh, I don't want to see an overly done heart Pokemon or anything along those lines. Heck, it bothered me a lot when I looked at Luvdisc one day and realized it is basically a heart turned sideways.

See my research material. You can bank it. At least one legendary will be based on one of those.

If I am wrong, I'll...uh...eat my shirt.

And you are entitled to your opinion, I like the ideas mentioned in this thread. And to be honest, I do not want a demon tomato/humanoid, that for some reason just bothers me. xD

I would think, based on that type star thing, it would be a Ground type. And a squirrel seems perfect for the job if you ask me. I agree that it would fit nicely. And plus, GF can make a magical squirrel well, can't they? Maybe give it wings...that would be cute.

I'm in favor of the squirrel, the Valkyrie, or a mandragora.

I'm hoping it gains its own signature move as well.

Fun Fact: Jirachi, Manaphy, Shaymin, and Victini are the only mirage Pokemon to have signature moves. Mew, being able to learn any move, doesn't need one. However, I do hope that Celebi is given its own move as well.

Not to sound rude, but none of those ideas seem...correct, concerning the mirage legendary.

Although, one of the names sparked a sudden remembrance of the Mandragora, a plant demon-esque creature. Personally, if they base the mirage off of one, I'd like it to look similar to the FFXII adaptation: http://images.wikia.com/finalfantasy/images/e/e1/Fffcd_mandragora.png
I'm not necessarily saying the mirage Pokémon will be one of the ones I linked to; I am saying that at minimum one legendary, possibly two, will be one of them.

Oh, of that I have no doubt. The poison-spitting dragon, in particular, sounds promising.

Mirage Pokémon are usually cute little creatures so the valkyries might not work out nor the demonic tomato. The squirrel however does. Though it's interesting how the mirage pokémon based on items (wish tags, Inflatables, Chia Pet/bouquet, Bunny style cut apples) have the signature moves while the more organic based legends Mew and Celebi are missing them.
Anywho the squirrel can represent communication, as the mirage pokémon as of late are based on abstract ideas like Wishes, Gratitude, Friendship/bonds, Victory.

Oops, my apologies, the Valkyrie idea was from the Legendary Trio thread ;O_O

If we do get a squirrel, and it does represent communication, then it should have a signature move that is essentially a stronger form of Chatter with a high Confusion rate, or even the possibility to inflict the effect of Taunt/Torment.
