Name: Clair Morelle

Age: 15

Gender: Female

Pokégear Choice: Sunset

Appearance: (Picture is in attachments, I can't add links.) Clair is a fairly average-height girl for her age, at 5 feet and 2 inches. She's somewhat thin, but doesn't have the body of a model or anything. Her hair is sleek, thick, and inky black, and comes down to just her chest. Since it is so thick, Clair can only leave it hanging loosely at her shoulders. Her eyes are round and dark brown, and often show emotions of warmth when they light up. Clair has small lips, that are often covered with a thin coat of red lip gloss. The only other makeup Clair wears is foundation and a touch of mascara, since she has come to loathe excessive makeup. Her skin is near perfection, except for a few freckles.

Clair wears somewhat modern, practical clothes that suit her well. She often picks out ruffly tops, or ones with floral patterns. Her clothes rarely ever have any logos or Pokemon on them. She has a few hoodies that she wears nearly everywhere, her favorite being a fuzzy navy blue one with a small star zipper pull. Her pants are often just a simple pair of sweatpants, and Clair has almost no skirts or jeans in her closet. She does, however, have a few sundresses. For her journey, Clair has chosen a knee-length strapless black sundress with a cherry print on it. She has also brought along her favorite blue hoodie with her, along with some black sneakers.

Personality: Clair is a warm, genial person with an encouraging attitude. She's extremely supportive of other people, whether they be close friends or general acquaintances. This makes her quite likable, but Clair has grown to have less of a care if people like her or not; she continues being friendly either way. Clair does get angry, but she's learned to take her anger out by battling wild Pokemon. Most of the time, her anger comes from her "bad luck", as Clair calls it. (She does believe in luck and superstition.) Even though she can get angered fairly easily, Clair never tries to take it out on other people, even if they were the cause.

Clair has a good sense of humor, and knows how to take a joke. In fact, she does tell quite a few clever jokes. She can be a little uneasy in a serious atmosphere, since she is so jolly. Clair often goes into situations without thinking them all the way through. Sometimes, this can result in some not-so-great consequences, but other times it makes everything more fun. Clair is often one to stray from conflict, so as to not get involved. However, she will stand up for someone if she feels they're being treated unfairly.

Starter Pokémon: Clamperl. Female, nicknamed Shelly.

Short description of your Pokémon's traits and personality: Shelly's a lot more reserved and shy than Clair. She will close her shell in large crowds, since she hates to be seen. Shelly has a strong bond with her trainer, which developed from Clair's gentle care of her. Only Clair can coax Shelly to open up her shell, which Clair has to do quite a lot. Shelly is very well behaved, and would never make a fuss. Shelly is much more open in battle, when she gets to show off her talent. Shelly shows a lot of potential, since she is very skilled.

Roleplay Sample: Clair smiled slightly as she stepped through town. The sun was going to blind her if she looked at it, so she instead turned her head to the row of advertisements posted on the long office building. It was a long way home, perhaps she should stop in some gift shop and buy some sunglasses? She decided against it in an instant. She only had a few dollars, and she had to buy lunch. It wasn't like anything was very expensive in Lavender Town, though. Clair suddenly felt something roll under her foot, and tripped over it, falling face-first onto a thin-cut lawn.
Brushing off the dirt on her shirt, Clair turned around to see what it was that she'd tripped on. It was an Ultra Ball, that was at full size. Clair bent over to pick up the Ultra Ball. It had a Pokemon in it, so someone must have dropped it. Clair rolled it over in her hand, but she noticed a note that had been taped to the back:

Dear Someone,
This is a Female Clamperl, with no official nickname. I have caught it nearby, since many Clamperl have been swarming there as of recently. I do not want this Pokemon, so instead of release it, I have left it in this basket. Anyone may take it, please do not inquire about the owner.
Sincerely, Anonymous

Clair was shocked at the note. It seemed awfully shady, someone leaving a note with no date or anything randomly here. And in what basket? Clair knew it was best to take it to the Pokemon Center. She didn't want to take any chances, seeing as Pokemon could be dangerous creatures. She had never had any Pokemon, nor had anyone in her family, but she'd seen some in real life. They were devastating beasts, at least some of them were. Clamperl didn't exactly qualify as devastating, but what if it had contracted some disease?

"Sooo... Can I keep it?" Clair asked her mother, who was meticulously sewing her office suit. She looked up from the sewing machine, looking at Clair holding her Clamperl. The Clamperl was just peeking out of its shell. Her mother suddenly smiled, which she did whenever she had a "great idea". The last great idea she had was for Clair to cut her hair. The pictures from it were now hidden in the back of Clair's dresser. Her mother giggled, only making the suspense more intense.
"Yes, you may. And you can go on a Pokemon Journey through Johto, too, you know, if you want." Clair's face lit up as her mother told her she could go on a journey. She was so tired of this summer she was having. Every day was the same, and now Clair had the chance of the experience of a lifetime.

"Pearl?" The Clamperl looked toward Clair, opening its shell slightly.

"Haha, Shelly, we'll have a good time," Clair told her.

Alright, my apologies for that. In normal writing, I don't space the paragraphs, so that must have been it.

I'm slightly confused, where should I jump in to join the action? I was thinking that Clair could just be arriving at the complex area, and tomorrow she'd be introduced to the Professor and obtain her Pokegear.

She could maybe show up the same night everyone's at right now? Maybe all soaked and tired since she was late and got caught up in the storm?

I need to be posting the next IC day as well which includes the departure from Cianwood. Just need people to get back here >_<

Alrighty, I borrowed this idea from gimmepie's Hoenn Diaries.

On the first post, right at the bottom of the characters list, you will find THIS PAD where you can all keep track of your Pokémon captures and teams in general.

Please make sure to use that and keep it up to date, because it will also help the GMs keep track of your teams and of your Pokémon's moves.

Oh and WHERE IS EVERYBODY? DX

I'll have the next scene and the end of act 1 posted within the next few days .-.

So, if anyone has anything else to post related to the event & stuff, do it now xD

I'm here, just nothing to really add at the moment. The freeing of Trubbish and return back happened so fast there was really nothing for me to say. XD

Here is my Sign-Up. Apologies is this is too short, but RL things have been draining me lately...

Name: Joaquin Talley

Age: 10

Gender: Male

Pokégear Choice: Silver

Appearance: Joaquin's skin is extremely pale, as a result of him living in the bleak mechanical jungle of Ecruteak City. He has dark circles under his worn green eyes, which look to be wide open almost all the time. He stands at 4' 6" and weighs 60 lbs., having a lanky build with a tendency to slouch. His clothes are a blue polo shirt and khakis, using light brown slip-on shoes for his feet. Reguardless of clothing, he appears sickly and not all there.

Personality: If Joaquin's appearance doesn't clue most people in, it's his actions and (lack of) words; he suffers from clinical depression, having never once seen nature in his life. He is silent and deathly still, almost to the point of catatonia. He only speaks rarely, and it would take someone great effort to get close enough for him to talk to him or her. Even he doesn't know what causes him to keep getting out of bed every day.

Starter Pokémon: Iter (Eevee)

Short description of your Pokémon's traits and personality: Iter looks for the most part like a normal Eevee, with the exception of a white birthmark on the left side of his head. The Eevee cares very much for its trainer, obviously seeing his mental state. He is more concerned with pulling Joaquin along on his trip than battle, despite wanting to. He sometimes wonders why he got stuck with a person like his Trainer, but sticks it out anyway, knowing who exactly he is (and sometimes causing confusion about whom is taking care of whom)

Roleplay Sample:

Sun blocking smog filled the air in Ecruteak City as Joaquin walked with his parents amongst the throngs of people on the way home. His ongoing battle was sapping the life out of the kid, and Joaquin's parents were at their wit's end trying to come up with solutions. He stopped to look at the TV's in an electronic store, which were showing the news…

"We now go live to Cianwood City, where our on-site reporter is now live with Professor Elm's assistant." The image switched to a laboratory esque building, where a Pidgey-like man was talking to a woman in a research coat. The reporter chirped up:

"…And you say that this level of Pokemon activity is unheard of in the Johto region?" The woman perked up a response but Joaquin's attention soon shifted to the fact he had lost his parents. He walked around the street, desperately looking for them, until he bumped into a old man wearing a robe.

"You children should learn to watch where you are go-" He grumbled, as he turned his head. He took one good look at the depressing looking boy, scanning him as if he was examining his very soul. The man recoiled, and soon took his words back.

"Oh my, how this world has changed people. Someone like you would have never suffered like this in the old Johto." The man shook his head. "Every day, our old ways vanish more and more, and what do we have to show for it?"

Joaquin tilted his head in a puzzled look. He had never known of any old ways in his life, nevertheless that the world was different before he was born. The Sage sensed his confusion. "To think that Johto has fallen so far from what was taught to us…" The man thought out loud. "If only there was some way to bring them back." He stopped in thought. "I have an idea…" He motioned. "Come, follow me".

He pointed to a large old-fashioned tower in the northeast of the city."There is something I would like to show you." Joaquin soon followed the robed man across Ecruteak, towards the old and depilated building. As he got closer and closer, he soon noticed its abandoned splendor, and even Joaquin felt that this was a sacred place. As the two went to the front entrance. The robed sage stopped Joaquin.

"Let me get something, or more exactly someone, for you." The robed figure soon entered the door as Joaquin slumped on the wall. When he opened his eyes a few minutes later, he found a small, brown creature staring at him longingly.

"I was saving this Pokemon for a special occasion. With someone like you though, I guess it comes now. Relax, he doesn't bite." Joaquin soon kneeled down to get a closer look as the Eevee yelped in excitement, hopping up to face level.

"The bond between a Human and a Pokemon is Johto's oldest and most important tradition." The old man explained to the boy. "With the friendship between the two of you," He pointed to the Eevee, wagging its tail, "There is nothing you can't accomplish, the least of which is your horrible emotional state." Joaquin shot a glance of doubt; his anti-depressants weren't working lately…

"There is however, someone who needs your help…" The man went back inside, seemingly to make a call.

My only issue with your SU is the whole "mechanical jungle of Ecruteak" part xD
The first post clearly states that Ecruteak and Violet City are STILL holding on to traditions and stuff, but that they're SLOWLY being dragged into this whole modern world thing.

You could swap Ecruteak for Goldenrod, but Johto's nowhere near being an extremely polluted mechanical jungle. Goldenrod would still take the cake on pollution and city life though.

Oh and I'm working on yet another JP then Imma post the next chapter and the whole meeting of Evelyn and stuff xD

Good to see Johto Mysteries active again. I should write new post and finally get to prof. Lyra...

Also, I checked first post and I can't see my character in Accepted Characters :( Maybe it's because I was accepted Genesis. Can you write me in?

The reason you're not in it is because I wasn't entirely convinced by your SU and I had and STILL have second thoughts about being ok with Nathan's decision or not x.x If it were for me, I'd have you resubmit your SU tbh, because I was honestly not pleased of it.

Alright guys, I got an accouncement to make:

On Monday, the 10th of March, all the people in this RP that show no sign of activity by posting in the OOC thread at least ONCE after I post this notice, will be REMOVED FOR INACTIVITY.

I know I have been away for a month, but I've been back for almost TWO weeks now and I haven't seen signs of activity from at least half of you .-.

Following the removal of the inactives, this RP will be reduced to 10 slots, with the possibility of getting extended to 15, should the removed ones claim their spot back by Sunday, the 16th of March. (If more than 10 people are active, the RP's gonna get reduced to the number of active people.)

On another note: Janp, I am not satisfied with your level of English and this is why I took the liberty of voiding your SU and IC post and of not adding your character to the characters list. There's simply TOO many grammar and spelling issues there.

There's still 2 unclaimed spots in this RP, free for the taking. Please make sure to write to the best of your ability, as I am much more likely to accept well written sign-ups than one with lots of errors.

And for all the active people, don't forget to add your teams info on thePad that's conveniently posted under the characters list, in the first post.

Thank you!

P.S. Johto Mysteries is NOT starting over. We've already picked up where we left of .-.
I have NO IDEA how this silly rumour that we were staring over spread .-.
