6th Gen Evolution/Pre-evolution Speculation

Sadly, it actually almost needs its own evolution instead. A Pre-evo is what we always wanted for it, but in my opinion it would be as useless as chingling.
I think a majority of people ask for a Kangaskhan pre-evo, because of the child it carries in its pouch. When you breed a Kangaskhan, you end up hatching a Kangaskhan with a baby already there. That hardly makes any sense. Even though the PokéDex entries are never followed literally in the games, it would still be nice for the sake of consistency and logic to hatch a pre-evolution of a fully formed Kangaskhan.

That being said, an evolution would be awesome. Looking at its base stats, an evolution of Kangaskhan could be a real powerhouse both in-game and in competitive play. With a possible secondary type and a good movepool (which it pretty much already has), you're just asking for trouble [in the best way possible].

Honestly, when has Pokémon Breeding ever made sense? The only way to make any sense of it at all is to ignore everything we know about genetics and assume that baby Pokemon are, in some sense, clones of their mother whose gender is not based on genetics (otherwise you'd get hybrids, and yes, that'd be true even if all Pokémon just different subspecies of one species).

How does Cubone hatch with the skull of its mother? How does Farfetch'd hatch with a stick?

The answer is - just don't think too much about it.

Not entirely on topic but it fits here better than anywhere else - since the reveal of Alomomola I've been more than a bit annoyed that something so similar to Luvdisc is apparently entirely unrelated. I've had an idea for them to link the two separate lines together, though it would never happen. I think introducing a new type of incense and making Luvdisc a "baby pokémon" for Alomomola would make sense. Luvdisc could evolve via some new crazy way of evolution that nobody thought to try on it before, or something. I realise it would be really stretching the boundaries of what's believable but they could say that nobody in Unova had the incense and nobody in the regions Luvdisc are present in had the means to make it evolve, or something.

A shared pre-evo is pretty much all that could happen. Baby Pokémon, like you are proposing Luvdisc be turned into, can't breed, and Luvdisc can breed. Even if you're suggesting turning it into a line like Onix / Steelix without a Baby Pokémon, that still wouldn't work - a Steelix egg returns an Onix, whereas an Alomomola egg returns... Alomomola. Excepting Baby Pokemon from Incenses, when you breed any Pokémon you get the lowest form of their line.

Even from an OCD perspective, it would be more irritating, to me, for them to change their rules randomly just for two Pokémon.

staryu, starmie and.......... starus (star us)

o_o That's an odd speculation.

How about a Latios and Latias baby? :D Like a Phione from Manaphy.

For Eeveevolutions:

Flying - Hold Air Balloon then level up at a certain level w/o having Air Balloon pop.

Ground - Evolve while using Dig

Ghost - Have Eevee learn Final Gambit and while at a certain level, Eevee uses Final Gambit. It evolves even if it is in FNT condition. After evolution, Eevee (Ghost) has full HP again.

Unsure on what methods for Dragon, Steel, Fighting, and Rock.

Kind of hoping for some Eeveelutions, maybe rock or dragon. It'd be a nice little change. I'd also like to see Mawile and Sableye get an evolution.

If Mawile or Sableye get an evolution I will pre-order this game.

Personally I think that a few Pokémon just have to be kept weak, whether it be Farfetch'd or Luvdisc or something else. You can't have everything be strong.

Maybe not, but you can at least make them decent. I'll take a buffed up Farfetch'd and Delibird that I can use in the RU/NU tier, happily.

Um, can I just say, on your last statement about breeding with Alomomola and Luvdisc, one thing. Marill and Azurill.

Marill were introduced in Gen 2. Azurill was introduced in gen 3. Breed two Marill, two Azumarill, or any Male Fairy/Water 1 Group Pokemon with a Female Marill/Azumarill, you get a Marill egg. Do all that with the mom holding a Sea Incense, you get Azurill.

What she was saying is that unless you breed with incense, it doesn't make sense. Azurill is also a Baby Pokemon so it itself cannot breed which is where the other person's OCD issue comes in.

I agree with you on Mawile, I totally forgot about him but an evolution for him is DEFINITELY needed!
I've wanted a Sableye evolution for a while.
I also agree with other posts on Castform. He has a really cool gimmick but is too weak to be used effectively.
Cacturne needs an evolution for sure. He has no staying power right now.
I would like to also see Banette get an evolution.
I also think Skarmory needs a pre-evolution, it's too big to be a stand-alone.

Um, can I just say, on your last statement about breeding with Alomomola and Luvdisc, one thing. Marill and Azurill.

I think Luvdisc and Alomomola should have the first MID-evolution between them, as in Luvdisc evolves into something and then that thing evolved into Alomomola.

Evolutions I want:
New Eeveelution - Preferably dragon.
Dunsparce
Audino - It would be like the new Blissey.
Stunfisk - Never liked that Pokemon, but an evolution might make it more decent.
Rapidash - Not that it needs one, I just always wanted to see a pegasus based Pokemon and it would look cooler if it was a fire type.
Farfetch'd
Spinda
Chatot
Emolga
Pachirisu

Pre evolutions I want:
Sneasel
Heracross
Druddigon
Skarmory

YES SPINDA I WANT SPINDA TO BE A VIABLE OPTION IN BATTLE

Ditto, Ditto, Ditto, Ditto, Ditto

Make it competitive, it got a great new ability but still has horrible HP.

Ditto evolution would ruin its uniqueness imo. I could somewhat imagine it but I don't think they could get anymore creative in a design when your basis is a pink blob. :(

I think there should be a Pokémon that is a pre-evolution of Miltank and Tauros. Which would appear more like a calf, and it would evolve into either Miltank or Tauros depending on what gender it is.

Hm... also, what about an evolution of Durant? It would be nice to see an evolution of Durant that would evolve into some queen ant Pokémon or something if it's female. Like how Vespiquen evolves from Combee in Generation IV and onwards.

Durant evo would be only good if it was a fire ant and had flash fire, to take on Heatmor, otherwise I don't think they can do it well without Heatmor doing the same. :(

I'm going to say Ditto need not evolve. It can already "evolve" into 648 other Pokémon, albeit temporarily.

If Durant got an evolution GameFreak would have to very careful with its stats, considering he is already a decent Pokemon. I mean he has Base ATT of 109, Base DEF of 112, and 109 in Speed. I mean for a steel type he already has a better base stat in speed than Cobalion and Jirachi.

For that reason, a Durant evolution just seems very doubtful to me.

I hope espacially for Eevee evolutions
I mean, why should be a guy in the anime who wins with an eevee team?
(Does the anime actually know about the 6. Gen???)
