Ivrant Lehort and Desmond Allen- Cafeteria

Ivrant figured making path toward his class would be a good way to start off at the least. Maybe taking a few detours along the way and training his Pokemon along the way. They could benefit from a small walk at least. Dynamo and Knox were moving along with Ivrant though Knox naturally wasn't really the kinda mon to move around freely considering it was mostly made entirely of sand and dirt wasn't a very good substitute for it. Buster meanwhile was zooming around with Aqua Jet nearly tripping Ivrant a few times. "Careful Buster! Remember! Restraint! We aren't in battle we can't have you running around so reckless!" Ivrant called out. Buster was getting sort of better the past couple of days at least but it seemed nothing was going to change his hyperactive nature. At least he wasn't ramming Ivrant in the chest anymore so that was some progress. Ivrant's team was walking by the Cafeteria. He was half considering grabbing a snack to hang onto for after class but figured it'd be better to save that kind of money for lunch instead. Buster Meanwhile seemed to be more then excited to see more people hanging around this part of the academy as he was zooming by the different tables.

Desmond and his team were silently enjoying their quick breakfast as they made their way towards the academic buildings. Leo in particular was really enjoying his toast with Oran Berry jam. Desmond half-smiled to himself. Though he was a doofus at times, Desmond really did enjoy having the Heracross around. Desmond looked around as they walked, taking in the sights. There were a lot more students around than the past few days. It was kinda nice seeing everyone out and about, all happy about starting their first day at the Academy. Just then Desmond noticed a blue blur out of the corner of his eye. Turning to see what it was, he realized it was some kind of Pokemon barrelling towards him and his Pokemon. Instinctively, he jumped backwards, shouting for his Pokemon to do the same.

"Quick! Get out of the way!" Hecate and Ares had no trouble evading the oncoming Pokemon but Leo was a different story. Apparently, the toast had all of his attention and he didn't hear Desmond's command. The blue blur of a Pokemon sped by the Heracross, completely surprising the hungry Bug type causing him to drop his toast in the dirt. Tears began welling up in Leo's eyes as he looked down at his delicious breakfast. Desmond put his hand on his partner's back.

"It's alright Leo, no use crying over dropped toast." Desmond looked back towards where the blue blur had gone. It seemed it had also been surprised by Leo and had veered off into some bushes. Popping its head out, Desmond recognized the Pokemon as a Marill. "Good grief. So much destruction power for such a little guy. Where the hell is this Pokemon's trainer?" Desmond thought to himself, visibly annoyed.

"Buster!" Ivrant called out. He takes his eyes off of him for one second and already the little Marill is causing trouble. The Marill quickly popped out and rushed on over to his trainer, this time stopping right in front of him instead of rushing into him. He quickly noticed the other trainer and the upset Heracross. First thing in the morning he does is embaress himself. Fine start. "Oh... oh no... did Buster do that? Sorry sorry sorry... I'm still trying to train him to have some more self control but he's a hyperactive ball of energy I uh..." He looked down at the dropped toast. Darn he ruined a Pokemon's breakfast too. That wasn't good. Should he buy him some out of courtesy? Dynamo already seemed to be walking toward the dropped bread and picking it up taking note of how dirty it had gotten. Knox just kinda sat there looking confused.

"Sorry you uh, want me to get you another at the Cafeteria? Would hate to see a mon go hungry."

Desmond stared coldly as the trainer ran up to them and rambled on and such. Desmond honestly didn't care about the toast and Leo would get over it. It was the fact this Marill clearly had no discipline that bothered Desmond. Did this trainer know nothing about training or what? Desmond was ready to give this guy a piece of his mind. Hecate and Ares stood by his side glaring down at the other Pokemon

"Listen...." Desmond paused as his eyes noticed a small green flower Pokemon by this guy's feet. Desmond thought back to the first day he arrived on the island. There was that battle between a Swinub and a fancy Roselia. He had been pretty intrigued by the flower's fighting style. Maybe this guy wasn't that bad of a trainer after all. Still didn't excuse the Marill's actions but blowing up at the trainer wasn't going to solve anything when he clearly did have an idea of what he was doing.

"Stand down guys, no one got hurt." Desmond nodded towards his Pokemon.

Don't worry about the toast, Leo here will be fine." Desmond patted the Heracross' horn, softening his steely-eyed stare, "Just...keep that Marill of yours under better control. You're lucky it was only toast that was the victim this time. Next time could be a whole lot worse."

"Yeah... I've been trying to teach him to control himself the past couple days. I caught him and Knox here kind of recently. Knox is timid but he stays close by me alot but Buster still tends to run around alot of endless energy. I try to have my ball handy just incase he does something dangerous like use Belly Drum." Ivrant sighed, crossing his arms. Buster seemed to look right up at the trainers and Pokemon with a big goofy smile. "Guess I need to put him under some more stricter discipline... he used to rush right into me whenever I called him out but he has a little more restraint now compared to before."

Dynamo picked up the dropped toast and placed it into the trash nearby. A neat freak as always. He also took the time to pick up any trash that happened to be lingering by the can. "Alright Buster, look up to Leo and say your sorry alright?" Ivrant said to the Marill. The little blue ball of fun looked up at the Heracross with that wide grin still oh so tempted to rush off and continue its rampage. Ivrant wondered why this little guy had so much trouble sitting still? He did give off a small "Marill!" Toward the heracross but even Ivrant could tell it was a pretty half assed "Sorry".

Desmond listened politely as the trainer continued talking. At least he understood the situation even if he did seem to handle it differently then Desmond would have. Had it been his Pokemon, no doubt there would have been a stern talking to. He looked down at the little mouse-like Pokemon and just shook his head. That little ball of blue fur was going to be a menace around campus.

"A little discipline never hurt anybody, and that little guy definitely needs it from what I hear from you." Desmond looked back up at the trainer with a serious look, "I can tell you're a good guy and trainer and love your Pokemon and that's great but if you really want to get that Marill of yours under control, some sort of rules and regulations will go a long way towards making that happen."

Desmond eyes avert as he notices the Roselia picking up trash. "Just like that Roselia of yours. I remember watching it battle on the first day and found myself impressed by its ability to use its energy in a controlled manner leading to a strong victory."

Heracross looked glumly down as the Marill squeaked out its apology. "Hera..." He still wasn't happy but he did force a smile and forgive the Pokemon. Its just that now he was going to have to wait until lunch to get more food. Ares reached down one of its scythes to comfort Leo and offered him his last piece of toast of which Leo graciously accepted. Desmond's feeling of anger and annoyance dissipated a little as he watched the scene.

"So...I'm Desmond," He looked back towards the trainer, "and this is Hecate and Ares." He nods to his other Pokemon.

Ivrant looked back up to Desmond. "Ah, I'm Ivrant. As for my Pokemon, Dynamo, Buster, and Knox." Ivrant said, pointing to all three of them in that order. "Yeah, I've had Dynamo alot longer so training more then one Pokemon is a new experience for me. But uh... yeah! I'm pretty proud of Dynamo being able to make his technique work out! Most Rosellia usually fight from long or mid distance where he seems content fighting up close. He's helped me keep a bit of a win streak in the academy so far eheh." Ivrant chuckled. "Buster as well to an extent but I still need to get Knox some battle experience. She's still sort of timid around others. Ivrant said. The Sandygast seemed to be trying to hide by just looking like a regular pile of sand and sinking to the ground.

Dynamo finished cleaning up and hopped back to his trainer's side and glancing over to Buster just incase he tried to run off again. He would usually be the one to stop any nonsense that Buster would attempt to pull off by holding him in place with his vines. "Dynamo tries to help me put Buster under control as well but I think Buster is getting better at dealing with that though. Last time Dynamo tried to hold him with his vines he uh... went for quite a ride ahaha..." Dynamo didn't seem too pleased remembering that incident.

Desmond found himself completely unsurprised by what Ivrant was saying. In the few minutes they had known each other, he could guess exactly the personalities and nature of relationships in the group. He was a little surprised by the win streak though. This guy must be pretty good to already have a streak going. Ivrant would probably be the perfect person for Desmond to battle at the academy first. It would show the school just how strong he was and immediately put him at the top of the trainer pyramid. Not to mention he could show Ivrant how much better a trainer who disciplines and works with their Pokemon looks. With so little time before class though, Desmond decided it'd be best to wait until later to issue his challenge.

"That's pretty impressive. You must have some real talent." Desmond nodded approvingly towards Ivrant. "Hecate is my longest tenured partner. We're pretty much one in the same." Hecate nods her head before looking dismissively towards the Roselia and Marill. "Anyways...time to head to class. Nice to meet you Ivrant." Desmond nods to the fellow trainer and restarts his walk towards the academic building.

"Oh uh... I should do the same! I'll see you around Desmond!" Ivrant called out! That conversation had him already considering some more proper discipline for Buster if he got out of control... but for now it would probably be safer to keep Buster in his ball for now after that incident. Ivrant quickly drew the ball out and returned him for now. Having Buster out during class would be a disaster after all. When he had time today he'd need to put more work into controling the blue ball of fun. "Maybe I'll give mom a call. She helped my train Dynamo so she has to know some good ways to deal with Pokemon like this... something for later today probly." Ivrant shrugged and started to make his way toward class as well. Oddly enough it seemed to be the same way that Desmond was going... maybe they had the same class?

Desmond walked through the large ornate doors leading into the academic building his class was being held in. "Alright...Self-Defense/Fighting Specialist..." Desmond looked up at a glass case that had a list of classes and their rooms. "4D...got it." Now where is that? Desmond looked around unsure of where to look first. Hecate let out a sound to grab Desmond's attention. About 5 yards away, the Umbreon was at the entrance of a hallway. Guess it was that way. "Thanks Hecate." Desmond walked down the hallway and found his room. As he opened the door, he noticed Ivrant walking down the hallway. Was he in the same class? Desmond probably looked like a real jerk walking off to class alone when in fact Ivrant probably would have liked to walk with him. Oh well, what's done is done. Desmond had no real desire to talk more anyways. He walked into the room to find that most of his fellow classmates had already arrived. Thankfully there was still a spot open near the back, a couple rows up. There was only one other person in the row, some angry looking blonde girl with a Monferno in her lap. It was the perfect spot for Desmond, he wouldn't have to do any socializing and he could focus on the class. He made his way to the spot and sat down, returning Ares and Leo to their balls in the process.

Ivrant quickly followed suit and would enter class not shortly after. Knox wasn't by his side anymore as he walked in. She got a little exhausted going around the school so she was resting while Dynamo was still keeping up his pace. Seemed they got there fairly early. Even Desmond seemed to be in the same class just as he predicted! Dynamo seemed to quickly go for one of the seats in the middle row. "Ah,alright then Dynamo we can sit here." Ivrant said as he quickly glanced over to Desmond and gave him a small wave before sitting down. They'd have a good view of the entire room like this at least! He was kind of dissapointed that the fighting type class didn't look like a dojo or something... oh well, style wasn't the important thing here.

Silvana yawned rather loudly as she woke up, only to open her eyes and--...She was blind. No--wait. There was something fluffy on her face. Silvana gingerly grasped and lifted a familiar emolga, her brow furrowing in mild annoyance. The sleepy pokemon, who she definitely didn't remember letting out of her pokeball, stretched and yawned, almost as if mimicking her. ...Silvana shifted to sit up and placed Lidelle down next to her. You belong ...over here, little sass monster. She then hopped up and disregarded the odd wakeup. Phew. She felt ...sore! Oh hell. Why couldn't she be more fit? Somehow she'd expected to be tougher than most of the other kids on account of not spending any time around technology and doing everything herself, but it was with reluctance, then, that she had to admit she was probably a bit lazier than she was giving herself credit for. She hoped whatever class she was in today wouldn't put her through anything physical.

Meandering over to her PJs, she noticed a clock on the wall. Wow, that ... looked almost late! Reading her schedule, she discovered...

Physical? More like psychical! Whatever that meant. Silvana's expression twisted in disgust. Some administrator had obviously not been paying attention when she'd voiced her interests. ...She wasn't a psychic! What was she supposed to learn here?? She had no psychic ability whatsoever!! Ugh. ...She hoped it wouldn't be too embarrassing, at least. Aaaaand holy crud she was late!! PJs flew across her room as she rushed to get dressed and head out. A few minutes later, a somewhat unenthusiastic and disheveled looking Silvana meandered her way into Human Psychic Training. I mean--Most people didn't show up in gold trimmed armor, but she still somehow managed to come off as a bit out of it. Whew. Looked like she made it in the nick of time.

Lucas McMillan
Getting books (Day 2)

Lucas's finger's ran over the spines of the books on the shelf, his eyes quickly scanning the books to see if there was anything about mythology. He saw a book titled Arceus or Mew: The Warring Beliefs, and he quickly pulled it from the shelf and looked at the first few pages. There was a table of contents, a short bio on the author, and a disclaimer. This will work. I should get another one, though, he thought as he continued scanning the shelves. He didn't see other books about mythology, but on one of the books, he saw a name. He grabbed the book, scanning the cover as to find out what the book was. It was titled Celestic Town: History Preserved, and it was written by Cynthia herself! Lucas eagerly held on to the book and went to go check out.
Once he had gotten his books and had put them in his bag, he headed to the center of the Academy. He had memorized the map of the island, but not the map of the Academy itself. He saw the map in the Academy center and located his classroom. It was in room 2B, wherever that was. Lucas checked the map, and once he had found B Building, he headed off. He arrived at the classroom, which was mostly empty. Lucas walked to the back corner and set his stuff down and sat down. He looked around the room and saw models of Legendary Pokemon, posters about Legendary Pokemon, and many other thing littering the walls and shelves. Lucas pulled out his book on Celestic Town and started reading.

Eric woke up and got dressed as quickly as possible. He grabbed this backpack, and made his way towards the library. Eric looked for a single book that detailed the myths and legends of seven different regions in the Pokémon World. He found a book titled Myths and Legendary Pokémon From Around The World Eric then checked the book out, and headed over to the main Academic building, and sat down near the only other student that happened to be there this early.

Lucas McMillan and Eric Damon
Before Class (Day 2)

Lucas looked up from his book as someone sat down next to him. Who was this and what did they want? Lucas thought as he bookmarked the page he was on and set it down on his desk. "Hello," Lucas said, putting on a slight smile.

Eric realized this unknown person was talking to hi. "Hi." He replied, smiling somewhat back. "This is where the Pokemon mythology class takes place, am I right?" Eric then waited for a reply from... Whoever this guy was...

"Yep," Lucas replied. "I heard that this class has two teachers, and neither of them have shown up yet. I got here early to do some reading and get a feel for the class. Looks pretty interesting." Lucas gestured to all the things around the room. He then proceeded to introduce himslef. "I'm Lucas McMillan by the way. Suicune Dorm."

"I'm Eric Damon, of the Entei Dorm." Eric introduced himself. "I hope they come soon."

"Me too," Lucas replied, unsure of where to take the conversation next. He rapped his fingers on the cover of his book.

Eric opened up the book he borrowed, and looked through it. Although Eric was a devout follower of Arceus, there was still much he had to learn about some of the other Pokemon spoken of in myth. Eric nervously clenched the locket around his neck for luck. Eric then proceededy to whisper a prayer to the almighty Arceus itself.
"Please help me through this, Arceus. Guide me to success, and I will bring justice to this world." Eric sighed after this, hoping Lucas didn't quite hear Eric's prayer.

Lucas watched Eric grab a book and Lucas scanned the cover. Its title read Myths and Legendary Pokémon From Around The World. This intrigued Lucas, as he had not seen it when he had been at the library. Lucas grabbed his book, Celestic Town: History Preserved and returned to reading it. He occasionally glanced over his book to look at Eric, then went back to reading.

Eric continued reading, and took notes on a piece of paper, looking at the door once every few minutes.

Day 1

This is it. Cyan was finally going to The Pokemon Trainer Academy, maybe he is going to meet Viola again. It's been a really long time. How old was he again? 7... or 8 maybe? It's not like it mathers, does it? Maybe she's forgoten about him. No, he needs to stop thinking like this. She went out of her way to give him Lara, so theres no way she did right?

His mind was racing with uncertainties, when he heard the anouncement on the loudspeakers: "Due to the smoke rising from mount chiminey, all planes will be canceled for the day. We are sorry for any inconvenience. If you want a refund, please speak with the front desk."

"Wha... WHAT?" Cyan was looking a bit perplexed. Now he was going to miss the first day, maybe not even get the classes he wanted, and... and who knows what else would happen on the day he missed? Also, he needed to go to the front desk to get his money back.

Just waiting in the line made him anxious. He did'nt want to speack to anyone, much less someone he never met before. He was almost quitting when someone finally called him.

"Can I help you sir?" a middle-aged man that looked like didn't want to be there asked. "...yes..." Cyan said, on a quiet voice "... I need my money back... ..." "Sure, just tell me the number of the flight and the money will be sent to your account at the end of the day." "but... what about my flight? I was supposed to be there already..." "Well, you can goo back to Sleteport City and catch a boat, or wait until the next plane..."

And thats how Cyan got stuck in a boat after paying half of his money. At Least, he was going to the Academy now. Late, but he was going. Thats when he realised, Tesla was out of his pokeball. He couldn't have left him back in Hoenn, he checked three times if his pokemon were in the balls. Tesla must have escaped on the boat and attached to someones hair... great. Now he has to hunt for one of the smallest pokemon on the entire world, and one that is likely to be stuck to someones hair.

Cyan spent 30 minutes trying to find Tesla. Absolute zero luck. That's when he remembered that Jolticks feed on eletricity, so maybe he went down to the engine room and started feeding on the bateries... yeah that must be it. Tesla once caused a power surge in his house because of this habit. So Cyan went down to the engine room and there it was! The little guy seemed like it had the time of his life.

Arwyn Wilton - Waking up

It was finally a new day. After spending an unhealthy amount of time being explained all about the island, it was finally time for classes. Arwyn didn't mind spending entire days in the dorms, but classes are what he was here for. He woke up and went for breakfast. He couldn't find Rosa, interestingly enough, so he just poured himself some Seareal. A cute Pokémon, a Victini, was on the box. Red pieces of seareal came out. He poured some Moomoo milk into it, and it was ready to be eaten. It tasted surprisingly plain. He tried to avoid contact with any other dorm members, as some came in to eat some breakfast themselves. He also let Scraggy out to eat some. But... what to do about Klink? He likes electricity....... suddenly an idea appeared in Arwyn's head. All he has to do is let Klink take electricity from a Wall outlet. There were more than enough of those around, so Arwyn let Klink out, and it immediatly headed for one of the outlets. After being done with eating, it was time to head to class! He shouldn't be late for his first classes, so he decided to go a little bit early.

Day 2

All right! After a whole day spent on a boat, Cyan finally arrived in the island. It was about time, Lara had thrown up twice, and you don't want to see a Larvesta throwing up.

Once he arrived at Oak Town, he grabs a map of the island and takes a look at it. The island sure was big, so where to start? Going straight to his classes seemed like a nice idea, but he had no idea of when or where they were, and since he was late, why not take a day off and explore the wilderness of the island?

So, after quickly dropping some stuff on the dorm carefully so no one would notice him. Then, after going back to Oak Town, he realesed his pokemon so they could have some fresh air, maybe train a bit later on.

Tesla immediately attached too Cyan's jacket, as usual. Lara though, seemed like it was still feeling sick from the boat ride, so Cyan had to use one of his Lava Coockies to make her feel beeter. They had a strool aroud the city and ended up near the forest, so why not go there? Lara and Tesla were exited as well, so it's not like Cyan had an option.

They barely steped inside the forest when they heard a scream: "HEY! YOU! LET'S HAVE A BATTLE!!!" Cyan was startled but simply tried to ignore the prescholler's challenge, while quickly walking away. Cyan was alredy feeling nervous, a 'Stranger Danger' sort of feeling. Though he was trying to run away, no one can really escape from a trainer battle so he just stopped walking, turned around and said: "...fine...""HUH? WHAT WAS THAT?". The kid was starting to piss Cyan off, so he just called Tesla into battle.

Here's the thing with Tesla, he has absolutely ZERO damaging moves. Not even toxic. Well, unless you count Absorb as a damaging move. The Preschollers first (and hopefully last) pokemon was a Wooper. The Wooper was quite small, so it was probably a low-level Pokemon. This was a great training for Tesla, who really needed some new moves. First, Tesla used Spider Web, making wooper unable to escape, while wooper goes for... mud sport. "Tesla, lets finish him while he is stuck! Use Absorb!" "WE ARE NOT LOOSING! USE ENCORE!"
"...Ok, Tesla, just do what you gotta do." And thats the story, of how a Wooper had its energy completely gone, after four Absorbs.

"HOW DID YOU BEAT WOOPER?!? HE IS SUPOSED TO BE UNBEATABLE! ARE YOU A CHAMPION?" "...what... no..." "WE ARE NOT DONE YET! GO, PARAS!" "goddamit kid... Lara, you are up next. There is no way we can lose this." As you can imagine, the paras didn't last long. A single Ember was more than enough. "YOU MEANIE! YOU SHOULD HAVE LET ME WIN!!!" "......no." "JUST TAKE THIS AND GO AWAY, BULLIE!" Cyan got $47! Well, all money is apreciated.

Cyan went deeper into the forest. Not too deep, just somewhere where he wouldn't need to socialise with people. There, they all practiced their aim. Cyan made a small target with sticks and leaves, and Tesla was supposed to hit String Shot right at the center. Later, they had some endurance training on Lara. Tesla would keep using Absorb on Lara, while she would use a Sunny Day plus Morning Sun combo.

While they were training, Tesla noticed that some of the leaves were gone from the target. "This was obviously a job done by a pokemon, maybe... a bug?". That's when Lara started calling out Cyan: "Lar, LAR!". "Oh, Tracks! Lets see...multiple, small, and round footprints... it really may be from a bug! Here, Lara, a Coockie." Though there were tracks, the little thing was nowhere to be found. everybody was tired from training, so they just decided to go back to Oak town, avoiding any trainers that could be found along the way.

CORINNA MONDRAGON

----
Rise and Shine Champion-To-Be!
- Troy's morning text

A gentle breeze gently rocked the forest green dorm curtains back and forth, allowing a slim beam of sunshine to slap Corinna and then vanish repetitively. The young girl hadn't slipped into her pajamas, body curled on top of opened books. Some wrinkled at every movement she made, yet miraculously never ripping.

The bed was soft and embraced Corinna in an eternal slumber. Her glasses were carefully folded and sat upon the nightstand, reflecting the two pokéballs at the foot of the bed. Beldum's capsule had a crudely drawn "1" on it's front to differentiate it from Piplup's. Unsurprisingly it was marked with the number "2." It also happened to be the pokéball that was beginning to stir.

Without warning it forcefully opened, releasing the penguin trapped inside. Upon her freedom she let out a chirp of triumph, flippers raised high. Pip pip! To the open window she went, in awe upon taking in the breathtaking view of the islands' landscape. Students were up and moving, Pokémon frolicking about, clouds casting shadows upon the earth below, and Corinna still tuckered in bed. She may have been up setting the dorm room the last few days, but so did Piplup and Beldum, and look who was awake now.

Eager to start the day anew, Piplup leaped on to her trainer. The belly landing startled the trainer awake, out of breath from shock.

One glance around the room was all Corinna needed to deduce who was the culprit. "Who gave you permission to leave your pokéball?" she grumbled, hands massaging her facial features. The penguin scooted closer to her trainer, flippers tapping her feet in glee. "Go talk to Mr. Sprinkles over there while I... uh... get up n' stuff," she murmured, words slurred from exhaustion as she pointed towards a life-sized Registeel plush. The hulking doll took a good space in the room, yet worked perfectly to liven up the dorm.

Piplup rolled towards the plush, movement halting upon contact. Upside down and jittery, she took in the view of the bedroom; an emerald circular rug sat in the middle of the room, bed and nightstand on one end whilst the bookcase and desk on the other. Everything was wooden, for it reminded Corinna of a forest. Not that she went there often, but she loved the ambience. Thus plants spotted the room - flowers, herbs, indoor trees, grass, mushrooms on logs even - and together brought together a fresh aroma. It was welcoming.

The plants and Mr. Sprinkles could only distract Piplup for so long before she was at it again. Corinna remained in bed, curled in a fetal position with arms embracing a pillow. It was sweet, sleep, but Piplup could care less about her sleep when the urge to go outside was piling within.

A few pecks to the head was enough to force Corinna to sit up, half-lidded eyes glaring at the penguin in annoyance. Of course Piplup didn't catch on to the gesture, oblivious to her body language as she swayed her flippers in anticipation of the day's events.

"Why do you do this to me."

Within the hour Corinna had done her morning routine and cleaned the room of any mess. Out of habit she even vacuumed and dusted. Plants were watered, checked, and window sealed shut.

Now she resides on the benches located just outside the dorms. The initiation package lays beside her, Professor Gary Oak's letter in hand. Not too long ago the contents gave her a sense of pride and accomplishment, but no longer. Seeing the range of students that walk amongst the island felt disappointing, as if she could have applied with minimal effort and still gained acceptance. Her brother thought differently, yet he always had.

It was bittersweet. "Tch. Going to make the best of it I suppose." Both the package and letter were carefully returned into her black backpack. Meanwhile Piplup was entertained by the group of wild birds awaiting their next meal, body slamming into their presence and disrupting their space. They would scatter, only to return to the same general vicinity without hassle.

"Piplup," Corrina called out to the Pokémon in a commanding voice. She halted, head tilted towards Corinna. "Stop it. You'll attract attention." For a moment she appeared to obey, energetic body on a standstill within the flock.

For a moment only. Soon the penguin returned to her shenanigans, Corinna sighing upon the sight. The past few days had been spent on familiarizing herself with the locations, classes, and rules. Within that time she managed to rummage the library for books that peaked her interest; astrology, medicine, steel-type Pokémon, and baking to name a few.

But what she had planned for today was training. The forest environment is always the preferred training grounds for its tranquility and, this time around, how distant of a walk it is from the dorm. Students won't be flooding its land like they already do amidst the beaches and open plains of the island. It was a hefty walk, yet some exercise won't hurt. A good physique must be maintained afterall.

Sifting through her cellular device unearthed her brother's morning text, immediately brightening her mood. "Piplup, let's go," she called out, already making her way to the forest. Corrina didn't swivel around to check on her water-type, confident she would follow as she started up a call.

The Pokemon Trainer Academy

First Class!

A set of chiming sounds played through the Academy sound system, signalling any students that weren't yet at their classrooms to hurry along or risk being late. The grounds and hallways of the school began to clear as students filtered towards their designated lessons, only those with free study blocks on their timetable or the daring truants left to do as they please. The teachers at the Academy ranged from the caring to the fearsome, so how each one would deal with tardy students could vary but all things considered, being late to your first day of class didn't seem like a fantastic idea no matter who you were.

In the Self Defense and Fighting Type class Maylene, Gym Leader of Veilstone City and Fighting Type specialist, finally arrived. She was lightly dressed in worn down sneakers, a loose pair of ripped jeans and an old blue cotton t-shirt. Her casual clothing coupled with her less than impressive stature didn't strike the typical image one might expect of a teacher, especially when she kicked her shoes off and hopped up onto the teachers desk, sitting in a half lotus position with her arms crossed. The scowl on her face didn't match up with her relaxed clothing however, she definitely didn't seem to be in a great mood.

"Alright everyone, sit down, pick whatever seats you want. The faculty decided having you all learn to punch each other on day one isn't the best idea, so we're going to be having a seminar instead. Come on, sit down, let's get started. We're going to be talking about self defense and fighting types today, two areas more important than you might think to EVERY Pokemon Trainer. Now. Who can tell me the best method of defending yourself in almost any situation?"

***

Over at the Eggs and Breeding classroom, the Pewter City Gym Leader Brock arrived, wheeling some sort of trolley in front of him. He wasn't dressed in his usual semi-rugged hiking gear that anyone who had watched him on television might be familiar with, instead in much more sensible attire of slacks and a buttoned shirt in charcoal grey. He seemed to be in a good mood, but then he was known for being friendly off the battlefield. It was hard to get an exact read on him though, there was something odd about his eyes...

"Good morning everyone! Take a seat for me please. My name is Brock and I'll be your teacher today for the Eggs and Breeding class! Pokemon breeding habits and the eggs that result from them are still something we're learning more about but it's at one of the most interesting things you can study. I think so anyway! So, let's start off, what can people already tell me about Pokemon breeding or Pokemon eggs? I want to see what some of you might know to start off with."

***

Cynthia, one of the most respected and popular Pokemon Champions of any region, entered her classroom with a confident stride, black coat flowing behind her. She gave the students in her class a look that spoke volumes all by itself, strongly suggesting they all settle down and find their seats before she had to tell them to do so. Once she reached her desk she placed a small metal tripod on it, then set nothing less than a Master Ball on top of it before turning to face the classroom.

"Well. My name, as you may know, is Cynthia and I'll be taking you for Pokemon Mythology today. This is a topic not everyone thinks is relevant to being an excellent Pokemon Trainer but I'm hoping I can change a few minds about that today. I'd like to start by asking all of you a simple question, answer with whatever comes to mind first."

She took a pause, seemingly for dramatic effect as she eyed up each student in the classroom. "What exactly is a Legendary Pokemon?"

***

A few of the students in the Psychic Specialist and Human Psychic Training class seemed disappointed when their teacher Sabrina, Saffron City Gym Leader, walked into the classroom rather than levitating. They weren't left hanging for long though and gave out an 'Oooh' as she sat down at her desk and a piece of chalk floated into the air behind her, writing her name on the blackboard all by itself.

"Morning, everyone. As you can see my name is Sabrina and this, of course, is my class. We'll be calling it the Psychic class to save time and no to those of you already wondering, I will not be teaching it telepathically. Not everyone here has yet awoken their psychic abilities, or even has any serious potential to do so, which means we will be communicating verbally today. While we're on the topic, I consider mental note passing to be no different from the regular kind and I will notice both."

She took a moment to let her words sink in, the chalk gently setting itself back down, before a soft smile touched her face and thawed the impression that she was as terrifying as some of the stories about her suggested.

"With that said, I would like to talk to you about the most important lesson I have personally learned, both as a psychic myself and a trainer of Psychic type Pokemon. Would anyone like to make a guess as to what that might be? People rarely get it right."

Lucas McMillan
Mythology Class (Day 2)

Lucas's ears perked up at the sound of someone entering the room. He looked up from his book to see someone in a long black coat place a Master Ball on a small metal pedestal on her desk. He looked at the woman, only to soon realise that it was Cynthia herself! Lucas closed his book and moved it off to the side. Lucas almost didn't hear her question. What is a Legendary Pokemon? Lucas pondered the question. A Legendary Pokemon is a Pokemon that can't evolve or have a previous form, but I heard that there was a newly researched Legendary that does evolve. Legendary Pokemon generally have a special move that only they can use. The also have special powers, like creation of land masses or being able to go between dimensions. Normal Pokemon can't do that, Lucas thought about the question for another minute or two. There were so many things that could be used to classify a Legendary Pokemon. Lucas had an answer in his head, but he didn't want to answer in case he was asked to clarify. Lucas decided to wait and see what other people knew. He could already see some hands going up.

Eric also thought about the definition of "Legendary" when it comes to Pokémon.

He came up with a pretty straightforward answer "An extremely powerful Pokémon that can control the forces that make this world what it is. Usually, there is only one of each Legendary Pokémon known to exist." Eric continued to think of an example of legendary Pokémon, besides Arceus. He suddenly remembered the tale of the two brothers that lived long ago in Unova. One sought the truth, and the other sought ideals, and the Original Dragon split into two different Pokémon embodying either of these traits. What was left behind by the birth of Reshiram and Zekrom was the husk of the original Dragon, now called Kyurem.

Eric raised a hand and gave Cynthia his answer, but made it as short and sweet as he possibly could.

Ivrant- Self Defense/Fighting Types

The best method for defending? Well Ivrant figured having your Pokemon on hand would be one but there were going to be times where you don't have a Pokemon handy for that sort of thing... if you had to rush to a Pokemon Center you would be completely defenseless. And this was a fighting type gym leader also so... Ivrant raised his hand to take a shot at a response. He's been in the city and heard about people getting mugged and such here and there. They didn't always have Pokemon on hand so they had to try defending themselves somehow right?

"Um... Protecting vital parts? Head... eyes... er... my neck... and..." He gave a small pause. "Legs and Groin? Well at least... if I were being attacked I wouldn't want to be hit in any of those spots for obvious reasons. I might not always have a Pokemon on hand if they're say, fainted..." Ivrant gave off a nervous chuckle and instinctively fidgeted in his seat at the thought of being attacked like that. Hopefully he was at least getting in the right direction with all this.

...is punctual, seated with school-brand coffee and high-top kicks stacked on top her open-front school desk.

' Hey, Nurse Joy, ' she snarks to herself with that pink hair in mind.

The instructor is composing herself, legs crossed, and the seating is doing wonders for Maylene's standing now-- she is not unlike another barely-scraping-five-foot martial artist in jeans with a penchant for resting on furniture, so, in truth, there's comfort to be had here. This whole room is like a big, sterilized box to Kylie, polished and perfected and assigned a purpose without possessing a sense of home, of feeling "lived in." And the AC's a bitch. So she embraces the tranquility that is put forth.

"That's a good question" — she's musing aloud. "What is the best method of defending yourself anytime, anywhere…?"

Looking in, a little Hoennese girl leans against the back legs of her chair, looking up into the realm of nowhere, the screen of a yellow-framed device flickering in her lap.

Her stream of conscious continues, loudly: "Well, you need distance first, and then you can do… well, anything. All it takes 's reflexes and you can grab 'em, lock 'em, whatever you need to. Once they motion towards you, it can be over before it even starts. So I guess the best thing you can do is be on-guard and ready to counter.

"Self-defense isn't just the 'defense' part-- like, you have to take the initiative and really pay attention to your attacker's movements. You can stand there, guard perfectly, and keep taking hit after hit 'n' all, but it'll just wear you down, and you're not getting anywhere then in actually defending yourself."

Kylie Kahale is resolute in her diatribe, one without prior indication, truly lost in it as, in its voluminousness, it threatens to cut in, cover up others of its type uttered by more conscientious classmates.

"So: be alert, be on the offensive, what else…?"

As Silvana sat herself down, she began fishing for a potion bottle and just sort of began fiddling with it. The little crystal vial was indistinct from one you might find in a laboratory. It was one of the very few things science took from magic. (There's not a thing that can't be put in a bottle. Getting it in there is where the fight is.) Silvana thought to herself rather wistfully as the teacher walked in. Seemed she'd been less than a minute early.
Goodness, that was a close call! (I shouldn't even be here. I don't have any psychic talent! Don't they think I tried already?? There's research on psychic potential in humans everywhere!) Silvana went on to silently lament in frustration. You didn't need to be a mind reader to see that she wasn't having a good time. (I bet they weren't even paying attention when I told them what my dreams are. There's no way anyone can read that many applications! Heh. No way. I bet I could show them some psychic power if I could get a whisker from a kadabra or the mists of a munna.) Silvana continued thinking to herself. There were a lot of things you could do with psychic pokemon, dependent primarily on the specific pokemon in question.

Sabrina's question, though, took Silvana off guard.

(Aw man... She wants me to read her mind! This is a crash course in embarassment waiting to happen.) Silvana silently lamented, pondering the trick question. Shame that wasn't going to happen, but maybe she could cheese the question using a silver tongue instead of extra-sensory insight. With a hand raised, she smirked at the thought of what she was about to say. "Everyone has a talent. It's just a matter of finding it." she stated in an optimistically matter-of-fact tone. Hah! How could a teacher ever shut her down for saying something like that? Good vibes like that were dangerous to kill! Boy, she was good.

Sydney Florencia Ramirez

Sydney looked at the pokeball in her hand, the red half shining in the sunlight until darkness passed over it. What was that called again? Oh right. A shadow. She looked around, a slight breeze stirring her hair, and saw that the shadow was cast by the nearby trees swaying. There were an awful lot of trees all gathered together, she was pretty sure that was called a forest, and she was stood right in front of them. Or behind them, maybe, how did you know which way a tree was facing? She looked down at herself, moving slowly as though she were in a dream, and assessed her outfit. Calf high brown leather boots, a pocketed tan skirt with a woven leather belt the same colour as the boots, a tucked in fitted navy blue polo shirt with pleated shoulders and a long silver necklace with a tiny pair of ornamental glasses on the end.

It was a cute outfit, she thought, but she didn't remember putting it together. Or putting it on or... anything, now that she thought about it.

That snapped her out of the mental fog she seemed to have been lost in and she stood perfectly straight, eyes going wide as she looked around her. Where was she? What was going on? This wasn't a dream, she couldn't remember anything, WHO was sh-

No, no, wait, I'm Sydney, my name is Sydney Ramirez, oh hell I remember that, okay. Okay.

The knowledge that she could summon up her own identity meant she could allow herself to take a deep breath. What else could she remember? Thinking about it, she was fairly sure she could remember everything - but then, if she'd forgotten something would she even know she had forgotten it? The last thing she remembered was going to bed on Oak Island after a few days of being at The Pokemon Trainer Academy. She had been looking forward to the first day of classes. She turned in a circle and spotted the Academy buildings in the distance, which was a relief. She at least knew she was still on the island and hadn't bumped her head ten years later, forgetting half her life. Had she only lost her memories of today? Judging by the sun it was still early, not even afternoon yet, so what could have possibly happened to her? And if something odd had happened, why was she just standing at the edge of the forest holding Miko's pokeball?

...Wait, this... this isn't Miko's. Titania? ...No... no it isn't hers either...

She kept staring at the pokeball, a sense of rising dread creeping through her body as her mind raced to understand what was going on. Something had happened today, something that meant she had caught a Pokemon and lost all of her memories up that point - or had them erased.

"Oh... oh no..." She said, barely able to force out a whisper, "...I need to... need to get to the Pokemon Center..."

She tried to make her legs move and tear her eyes away from that awful pokeball, the two toned surface polished so well that she could see her own reflection in the red half. She looked perfectly fine, no one would know what had just happened to her, but she was almost certain she had puzzled out what must have occurred. It was when she met her own eyes and saw the helpless horror in them that she snapped, breaking into a dead sprint towards the Academy grounds, the pokeball still clutched tightly in her hand.

Day 2 (Continued)

Cyan had just got back to Oak town, when he checked the time... and noticed that if he ran, he could just arrive in time for class. After looking on his X-Tranceiver, he found out that his first class was Pokemon Mythology. Though it doesn't sounds like the most exciting subject in the academy, it sure has more use than any other for him. Plus his teacher is Cynthia or Iris, both which are part of the best trainers in the worls. He couldn't possibly miss the first day, right? But the time he uses on the class is time that he could be using to train his pokemon or hunting down the mysterious bug-type from the outer forests. "Think, Cyan, Think" Cyan said to himself, "What to do, what to do?... Lara, answer quickly! Class or training?" And in less than a second, the little bug started going on the direction of the school. To be fair, her training was quite tiring, so it made complete sense that the little thing wanted to rest during class.

Cyan was running to the academy grounds, when he saw a girl running to the class as well. No brainer, she must be late just like him. But he quickly catches a glimpse of a pokeball in her arms. Well, thats odd. Most people would rather have their pokeballs in a bag or on a belt or something like that. It is just impractical to keep a constant hold on to them, unless... you want to keep it safe. He's seen that countless of times, back at Burgh's gym. Most people who were defeated would hold their pokeballs like that, to make sure that their pokemon would be safe until they arrive at a Pokemon Center. So, or that trainer was defeated in battle and is running towards the P.C., or It's just their way of holding the pokeball. He went with the first option.

Cyan thought of asking the girl if she needed any help, but quickly stopped there. He didn't even knew who the girl was, and he was thinking of TALKING to her? Nope, something would go wrong. She was probably going to reject his help, Right? Then he would just keep standing there like an idiot. That happened way too many times before, and he isn't going to take his chances now. He looks at her direction again, and notices that she already saw him. Great. Now if he doesn't go, she will think he is not thoughtful of others, which he is. Now his dillema grew even more. If he doesn't go help her, he is the bad guy, but he can get in class right on time. If he goes help her, his help might be turned down and he will be standing there like an idiot. Tesla and Lara already made up their minds, pulling him in her direction. Summoning all the courage he has, he gets near her and says:

"Do you... Do you need any help? What's going on?"

Sydney Florencia Ramirez

Sydney had spotted the boy making his way from Oak Town to the Academy, not giving a lot of thought to it until he made a direct move to intercept her path. She skidded to a halt, black and blue hair flying around her face and a small cloud of dust stirring up under her feet. He must have seen her running like a spooked Rapidash and figured something was wrong. It was decent of him to come and check if she needed help but she was terrified of pulling him into the mess she had made for herself. Or that she thought she'd made for herself, anyway, it wasn't as if she could remember. Given her situation though she couldn't afford to turn down any offer of help, even if the boy looked like a strong breeze would carry him away, anything that could get her to a Pokemon Center faster would be a good thing. She had to hand this pokeball over to a professional so it could be properly assessed and, with any luck, taken off her hands. Why on earth would she have ever done something so foolish?

What if it wasn't even my choice... what if I was made to do all of this in the first place?

"I... listen, I - uh - thank you, but... I really don't want to get anyone else caught up in this, I think I did something really stupid, or maybe I didn't - I'm not sure - but I should have known better if I did what I think I did..." She looked at the pokeball in her hand, clearly frightened by the thing. "I just, I just need to get to Nurse Joy, okay? If you want to help can you just make sure no wild Pokemon jump out at me on the way? That's the last thing I need right now, I don't think I could concentrate on a battle properly." She lowered her voice as if confiding a dark secret, a piece of knowledge so forbidden it should never be spoken aloud. "I think I caught an Elgyem and I can't remember anything from today."

Whether her reaction was appropriate to the situation or not was something Cyan would have to decide for himself but she was clearly spooked by it to the extent that she had started running through wild Pokemon territory without a thought for her own safety and for a girl who, at first glance at least, seemed to care a fair amount about her appearance she didn't seem too concerned with making a decent first impression. She was coming across as a bit of a mess, all in all. She was the last person to ever want to pull the damsel in distress act but under these circumstances she was just too frightened and shaken to trust herself and not accept help where it was given.

Naomi was bored. She was incredibly bored and quite honestly she was still half asleep as well. It had been a long time since she had actually had to get up so early, much less spend time sitting at a desk almost first thing in the morning. When the girl had decided to take a class revolving around self-defense and Fighting-type Pokémon, she had expected the course to be a bit more... hands on, even if it was the first day. Instead, Naomi found herself getting asked rather dumb questions by a "teacher" who barely looked to be any older than she was.

For the time being, the girl had taken to mostly zoning out. She was currently staring out the window, absentmindedly rolling Franky's Poké Ball back and forth across her desk. It was only when some girl, a fellow student in the class, answered Maylene's question did Naomi seem to snap back to reality.

"Ya better learn how to take a hit in the first place," Naomi chimed in, not bothering to hide the bored tone in her voice the slightest bit. "Ya can stick and move all ya want, but it ain't gonna mean sh- I mean... anythin' if ya go down like a cream puff after one punch."

Desmond Allen

Speaking Up

Desmond focused on the angry instructor as she spoke. Was she really that upset that she wasn't allowed to have the students beat the snot out of each other on the first day? Desmond was somewhat glad of this. He would have felt bad about beating up some of the more clearly weak students in the class. Not to mention, his favorite person from the first day on the island, Naomi, was in the class. There'd probably be a need for cops if they got going.

He focused back on the instructor's question. The best method of defending oneself? Desmond racked his mind to think of an answer while other students answered. Ivrant was saying something about protection and having your Pokemon with you or something though he wasn't very confident.

Is this stuttering, unsure trainer really the same one I just spoke to earlier?

Another student, a punk-ish looking Entei girl, piped up about being alert and offensive. Both of them were right in a way for sure. Desmond wasn't even going to think about Naomi's answer though as he rolled his eyes. Taking punches wasn't a defense. Instead, Desmond thought back to his time in Orre and what he was taught as part of the neo-Cipher organization. During his time with them, stealth was the most important thing, like during recon or heist missions. You only took on people and trainers if there was no other choice. Otherwise, it was about fulfilling the mission and avoiding confrontation. Desmond didn't know if this would be right but figured it was worth a shot.

"In my experience, prevention is the best defense. Avoid getting physical if you can."
