5th Gen What did you name yourself,your rival and your pokemon?Why?

My main Pokemon character is always named Scarlet. I already forgot what I named the rival, honestly. And my pokemon are all named One - Whatever the last number is that I caught. (So my Oshawott was named One, my Sewaddle Two, etc). Except the Nincada I caught in the Dream World. I named him Ninki because my Nincada is always named Ninki.

Myself: Mei (because to hell with Rosa)
Rival: Hue (again, going with the Japanese name, hahaha)

Samurott: Kensei (means swordsmanship master; I ended up thinking a lot about nicknames in this game I guess. Gotta make all interesting and fitting)
Lucario: Reiki (aura-related shizz)
Aggron: Smasher (because hell yeah Head Smash)
Crobat: Nightwing (probably the weakest name in the bunch. It doesn't even know any dark attacks. Though it's a better name in of itself than AcroBat)
Flygon: Sirocco (because hell yeah desert stuff)
Chandelure: Lumiere (can't use accents in Pokémon games. :( )

Self: Allen (Name IRL)
Rival: Eric (My cousin's name)
Pokemon:
Motochika the Samurott
Hideyoshi the Darmanitan
Masamune the Braviary
Kiyomasa the Haxorus
Ranmaru the Lucario
Motonari the Lilligant

All of them are named after the Warlords in Pokemon Conquest which they have a Perfect Link with, except for Darmanitan (but Hideyoshi is the only major Fire-type Warlord) and Liligant (same with Motonari, only main Grass-type Warlord)
Generally, my nicknames follow a pattern or theme. I am always Allen, rival is always Eric, and Pokemon have Asian-themed nicknames.

I named myself Saga ( It´s a me! o3o )
I named my rival Drakan ( It´s an old, childhood friend )
I named my Snivy "Oregano" cause it´s tasty and flavorish!

Pokemon : Tepig name : PIGGY reason : i love pigs :3

My name: Eury
Rivals name: Black
and i dont have nicknames for my pokemon i might give them nicknames later but i doubt it.

I named my female character Mei, my rival Hugh, and my tepig Pokey. why Pokey? why not?

I didn't name my last 2 pokemon, because I use them quite often


For hilariosity's sake my boyfriend named his Black 2 characters like this

Name: Hannah (Because it's my actual name. Lol.)

Rival name: Misaki (After the main character from Junjou Romantica. I am VERY glad I named him this...It suits him well. 8D Tehehehe...)

I was boring and named the player character Richard, and kept the name Hugh for the rival.

Name: Wind (I think this name is nice)
Rival: Troy (inspired from reading a fanfiction)

Oh I named myself ASH like always. It's been a tradition since my yellow version and I just stuck with it. Plus all my pokemon have the same OT haha.

Well, My rivals name is Noda, it's the last name of my childhood best friend, coudnt do Fernando because it would'nt fit, hated that me and my family moved,

Nate and Hugh. But I prefer the save file where I named the rival, Clark instead.

Me-Smith
Not sure why, but that name has recently been my name for all of my pokemon games.

Rival-larenzo
Same reason as my name.

Pokemon-I don't name those.

Player name: Harry
Rival name: Draco

I named all of my Pokemon after creatures in Harry Potter, such as my trusty machop being Dolby and my Snivy being named Slytherin. The only exception is a shiny Mewtwo I received in a trade whom was already named Sloppy Joe.

Me: Alex (my name)
Rival: Matis (default French name)

I don't nickname my Pokémon... guess I'm one of the boring people :) .

Black 2:
Me: Arceus (All of my games are named after pokemon)
Rival: Neville (I just finished watching Potter Puppet Pals)
White 2:
Me: Pikachu
Rival: Gary

I just use random names for my pokemon. I name all of my grass types Fudge, though.
Some of my favorite names include Dobby the Sawk (geddit?) and Unholy the Geodude.

Me: Jay. (That's my real name. XD)
Rival: Randy. (That's my favorite wrestler's name)

And I don't name my Pokemons, except Pikachu, I always name him Pika.
