I was wondering why I had such a hard time with Platinum. I thought it was that my team was severely underleveled and underpowered due to it consisting in huge portions mostly of defensive Pokemon lacking offensive presence as well as making things worse by having to carry around a lot of HM moves that make the movepools even worse. But no, ends up I just picked the wrong starter!
