Got through all the Galactic stuff around Floaroma, got through Eterna Forest and grinded my team a bit. Skiploom's a bit hard to train ... BIDOOF+DEFENSE CURL+ROLLOUT is a pain combo. Going to defeat the Second GYM.

Ohmy, this is gonna be interesting:
Swampert, Spheal, Vibrava, Mightyena, Gallade, Numel
It's a good balance, I guess.
Powerful- Swampert, Gallade
Ok...- Vibrava, Mightyena
Weak- Spheal, Numel
And almost all from Hoenn, too. The only one I won't have to trade for is Ralts, and I can't get that for a little while anyway. I think I'll trade over a Mudkip to begin with, and get everything else every other gym or so, starting with the weakest. I'll start a little later, and thanks for giving me my team.

Update #1:
-Wiped my old game and started the challenge, choosing male and naming the hero Luke (after myself) and the rival Roy. (after... the game's rival name suggestions?)
-Picked Turtwig as a starter, so Roy has a Chimchar (lol I have Swampert, looks like the tables have been turned) and Dawn has a Piplup.
-After going to the lake, getting a pokedex, and learning how to catch pokemon (lol), I traded NoStart the Turtwig for MuddyBuddy the Mudkip (lv.5).
-Beat all the trainers on route 202 and reached Jublife City, where I met back up with Dawn and encountered Looker for the first time. (lol, I forgot all about him)
-Delivered the parcel to Roy and got the Town Map, then went to route 204 to train.
-Defeated Roy on route 203 (easy because Muddy was overleveled, but haerd because he wouldn't obey me), then fought my way to Oreburgh (awesome music ftw).
-Talked to Roark in the mine, fought the gym trainers, evloved Muddy, and prepared for the Roark fight.
-Roark wasn't a hard fight at all, Muddy obeyed most of the time and water vs. rock = win. I accidentally used scratch against onix, and Muddy acually ignored me and used water gun for the ko.
-Made my way back to Jublife, encountered Roy and Looker (who isn't the best policeman, considering Team Galactic was attacking professor rowan a few steps from him before he left), and traded over Whiskers the Spheal (Lv.10).
-Fought Team Galactic with Dawn (and Whiskers), then decided to end for a bit and update.
