I was so stubborn in RSE, I thought that you were only supposed to use your starter, so I did. For every single battle, the other 5 were HM slaves. xD

My ruby team:
Torchic - Tory - Level 65
Kadabra - Magic - Level 64

For some reason I only used those two pokemon to finish the game, I think I gave up on leveling anything else half way through D:

Charizard Lv48 Asmodean
Male. Holding Charcoal. Quirky nature. Blaze.
Atk: 99
Def: 94
Sp.Atk: 125
Sp.Def: 94
Speed: 125
Flamethrower
Dragon Claw
Rock Slide
Wing Attack
He's alright... But he's also my starter. It'd be like blasphemy to chuck him.

Dodrio Lv46 Javelina
Female. Gentle nature. Early bird.
Atk: 125
Def: 74
Sp.Atk: 62
Sp.Def: 81
Speed: 111
Tri Attack
Fly
Uproar
Pursuit
At first Charizard was my Flying Pokemon, but I needed Fly, and I wanted Wing Attack too, so I just got a full-on Flying type. I ditched this one briefly for Pidgeot, but it sucked, so I returned to Dodrio.

Gengar Lv47 Mordeth
Male. Bashful nature. Levitate.
Atk: 76
Def: 83
Sp.Atk: 143
Sp.Def: 85
Speed: 120
Psychic
Shadow Ball
Curse
Explosion
I probably need to get rid of either Curse or Explosion, since they're both last-resort moves. Probably Explosion, since it can't usually knock out Elite Four Pokemon, and Curse can't be healed with a freaking Full Restore.

Marowak Lv48
Male. Holding Thick Club. Careful nature. Lightningrod.
Atk: 92
Def: 122
Sp.Atk: 59
Sp.Def: 99
Speed: 59
Bonemerang
Strength
Thrash
Swords Dance
I was on Victory Road or whatever the cave up there is called forever, trying to find a Marowak with a Thick Club, after I found out it doubled your attack stat. Bonemerang is golden. First I had a Rhydon for the physical Pokemon, who I ditched for a Sandslash with higher Special stats, who I ditched for a Marowak with a Thick Club.

Slowbro Lv53
Male. Quiet nature. Oblivious.
Atk: 101
Def: 136
Sp.Atk: 135
Sp.Def: 94
Speed: 52
Surf
Confusion
Psychic
Blizzard
I had my doubts about this one, but it's really decent and I haven't even evolved it into a Slowking. It's handy to double a Psychic type and a Water type. And its defense is really helpful for dealing with Fighting type.

Jolteon Lv 53 Thalia
Female. Hasty nature. Volt Absorb.
Atk: 95
Def: 79
Sp.Atk: 130
Sp.Def: 118
Speed: 189
Thunderbolt
Bite
Thunder
Double Kick
Hasty nature. Like it needs to be any faster. I love this thing.

Wow, you guys have some really .... interesting choice in pokemon for ur teams.

I use a seriously under-leveled team of 4 baton passers.
celebi, umbreon, espon, scizor (all of whom you have recover/morning sun)
and of course moves like calm mind, curse, agility, iron defence and so on.

plus swampert (great special and physical attacker with few weaknesses)
lastly, blissey who is an amazing special wall who can PP stall/toxify her opponents

This is the team that make it possible to defeat lvl 100 opponents whist being seriously underleveld (60-65).

I recently found my GBA, with my Emerald still inside which I haven't played probably close to a year. Turns out I was doing a Grass monotype challenge.

I decided to start a just-for-fun Emerald playthrough, and as of now my team is:

They are all at level 31, and I am on my way to Foretree City. I was going to use Sceptile, but I found a shiny Shroomish and decided to use him instead.

This is my team from Emerald. Worked on it for years.

Raichu: Volt Tackle, Charm, Mimic, Hyper Beam

Salamence: Crunch, Fly, Dragon Claw, Flamethrower

Metagross: Meteor Mash, Psychic, Sludge Bomb, Hyper Beam

Sceptile: Leaf Blade, Thunderpunch, Earthquake, Dragon Claw

Blaziken: Blaze Kick, Sky Uppercut, Rock Slide, Mirror Move

Still improving this team, though. Would post sprites, but need more posts. Also, any criticism on my team is welcomed.
