@Zero Darkness: A post when your character is alone has no standard length as there's nothing to compare it to and nobody to be considerate of. Believe me, I've written horrifyingly long walls when I'm not trying to be considerate of others at times.

Anyway, just do what's comfortable for you. Though, you should make sure to post at least 4 lines of text in accordance with forum rules.

Dragon Dance, yay! I demand to see Ichigo dancing around while chanting at some point in this RP. Make it so!
(Just kidding, you don't need to do that.)

I have no clue where anyone is anymore ^^;

But my character Randall is still in Eterna Forest.

Speaking of characters, here's a new app:

Name:
Joe

Nickname (Optional):

Age (10-13):
13

Sex (Male or Female):
Male

Appearance (A picture can be provided instead of a description if you so wish.): Minimum of 3 lines if no picture is provided.

As a human, Joe's height is at 5' 10", making him very tall compared to most other kids his age. He has tan skin, green eyes, and dark grey hair. He usually wears a tattered white T-shirt and a pair of blue tattered shorts to go with it. He's also very physically fit for his age. Like literally, you look at him and you think he goes to the gym daily. He usually tends to keep a very serious expression on his face most of the time.

When merged with his Pokespirit however, he doesn't look anything like the human that he is/was. His body gets wrapped up in a dark energy, and when the energy disipates he's wearing a suit of armor that looks EXACTLY like a Golurk from head to toe, as well as gaining a few feet of height (making him now 9' 09") and increased weight as well, but not nearly as heavy as a real Golurk. If anything, most of the "armor" is hollow.

Personality (How does your character act and react to others? Their mental state? Flaws and/or personal weaknesses?): 4 lines minimum

Joe's been mostly the strong barely talks a lot type growing up. He usually doesn't talk or do much of anything besides his job, and if he does speak, he usually says very few words. He was raised in Eterna City by parents who use Pokespirit wielders as slaves on their plantation, and having been brought up with the mindset that Pokespirit children are nothing more than a workforce for the elders, he obediently obeys his parents and treats the adults with respect as he works on the plantation as well.

History (Where did your character grow up? Who did they grow up with? What have the been doing before this? Any noteworthy events?): 4 lines minimum

Joe grew up in Eterna City with his parents on a successful plantation. As the plantation began using Pokespirit children for a stable workforce, Joe was taught at an impressionable age that pokespirit children had no other purpose other than to serve the normal humans of society, and has seen no reason to have objected to it for a number of years. Two years ago late one night, he was called by an odd powerful force that he couldn't quite describe. He follwed the force beconing to him and left the plantation grounds, travelling all the way to Mt. Coronet.

He came to his senses after he touched the stone, and realized he had obtained a pokespirit. He was heartbroken at first. He fell to his knees and cried at the alter. After some time, he realized the best thing he could do was go back to the plantation and tell his parents the truth. His parents didn't take the news well at first. They were scared, and shocked at Joe. They decided though that the safest thing they could do for him, as it was his own wish as well, was to keep him on the plantation as a worker along with the other Pokespirit children. Unlike the others though, he obtained special privaledges because of his parents, however he rarely excercised them. Instead, he just worked on the plantation doing whatever his parents and overseers and other adults asked of him to do. He became a hollow shell of what once was a human, and labeled himself as his parents' property.

Pokéspirit (No legendaries. Alternate color schemes are allowed.)
Species:
Golurk

Nickname (Optional):

Personality (Can be as short or long as you want):
Golurk has no unique features about his personality in truth. He just stays quiet most of the time and obeys Joe without question.

Moves (Maximum of 6. TM and egg moves are allowed. These are the moves your character gets when they fuse):
Shadow Punch, Night Shade, Earthquake, Protect, Focus Punch, Ice Beam

Opening Post (This will be what we use to determine whether your writing skills are good enough. If accepted, you may feel free to copy paste your post here into the IC thread.): I would recommend a minimum of 8 lines and a maximum of 20, but it's your choice.

Joe was busy doing some heavy lifting work today. A new shipment of supplies had come in, and he was to help unload the heavy crates off the truck. It was a total of twenty crates at best, each one of varying sizes and volumes. When all of the crates were off the truck and on the ground around him, the delivery man drove off, and the adult overseer with him today had then assigned him to move the crates to the storeroom accross the plantation.

He didn't bother asking why the truck driver simply didn't drive to that side of the plantation to begin with. He had no right to do so, plus there really wasn't a road on that side of the plantation. He only gave a small nod and in a deep voice replied, "Understood, sir."

He picked up the first crate, and he brought his legs up closer to his body as he took off and flew towards the store room. It took him roughly thirty to forty minutes or so to get all the crates from one end of the plantation to the other, as well as the trips it took him to get back over to the other side.

When he returned to the overseer, he was then assigned to stand guard and watch over the field they were currently standing in, just to make sure that no one tried to steal any of the crops that were being grown. Joe gave a nod of his head as he reverted to his human appearance and stood there, scanning the field for any potential theif or theives.

I'm sorry about not posting... I'm thinking of dropping from the RP. I made my character a little too unstable and makes character interactions hard and I don't like RPing by myself also I prefer good characters or at least ones who think they are good, and not just evil because I can be (which was fun for a short time). I'll have to decide if I want to drop completely or just drop this character.

@Stingray: Either way is acceptable. Yeah, evil characters are ... tedious to get into social situations.

Name: Reiko Yoshitomi

Nickname: Rei

Age: 13

Sex: female

Appearance:
Spoiler:

Personality: Reiko is very sneaky and crafty towards adults. She can spin a believable story to them and has learned to steal and pickpocket. She doesn't see herself as an evil person she just sees it as her doing what she can to survive. Reiko knew that by stealing food and money from people she did still follow Shade's advice. She only stole scraps or small bits of food, enough for her to survive but not enough to really take a dent out of someones food supply or money. She will always feel a little guilty though even with her distrust of adults she never believed in stealing before she had no choice but to. She knew that if she didn't steal then she probably wouldn't have survived on her own. Because she was kicked out by her parents Reiko doesn't trust any adults but that doesn't mean she wants to kill them. Reiko is also very defensive and is prepared to fight any time she has to. This is due to a group of boys that always picked on her and tried to take things from her. They just made her realize the true meaning of having to fight to survive. She wants to go to Children's City but she has heard how ruthless the city's leader is. Reiko just wants the world to improve and become a better place for everyone living on it.

History: Reiko was born and raised in Jubilife City. Life growing up was good at first for Reiko her parents believing that she was one of the normal children but when she turned ten it turned out to be different. On her tenth birthday Reiko found out she was a Pokespirit wielder and recieved her Pokespirit a Purrloin she called Shade. Her parents where outraged and kicked Reiko out of Jubilife city telling her to never return. Reiko traveled to Eterna City knowing that city wasn't as hostile to children. Once she got there Reiko spotted a cart selling food but she didn't have any money. She tried to steal some but was almost caught and got away with nothing at all. After the Reiko practiced non-stop to improve her skills at sneaking and with Shade giving advice she became better. After that she was able to steal little bits of food and money to survive. Not every day but every few days or so she managed to steal meat of which she had no idea what it was but fruit was more common for her to steal as well as money. Reiko survived this way for three years enduring the torment of a group of boys who just wanted to ruin her life, they always tried to take what she had stolen from her but she never let them at least not without a fight, now that's she's 13 Reiko has made the decision that it was time for her to leave Eterna city.

Pokéspirit
Species: Liepard

Spoiler:

Nickname: Shade

Personality: Shade is Reiko's voice of reason. Her only thought is to always look out for what's best for Reiko, Shade will always give Reiko advice on what is wrong and right.

Moves: Pursuit, Night Slash, Thief, Faint Attack, Shadow Ball, Sucker Punch

Other: Reiko gains Shade's ability Limber keeping her from being paralyzed.

Opening: Reiko sighed sitting on the side of the road in Eterna. She was thin and cold having been on her own for awhile. Next to her on the ground was a tin cup that she had been using to collect money. Some people were kind enough to give it to her, others just passed her by without a glance.

"Child, where are your parents?" A kind voice made Reiko look up to see an old woman with grey hair standing in front of her.

"My mom is ill, and my dad is dead" Reiko lied saying the practiced story with ease. In reality she had been kicked out of her home three years ago but this woman didn't need to know that.

"Why are you sitting on the street then?" The woman asked kindly putting a few dollars in the tin cup.

"it's the only way I can get money to help my mom" Reiko said standing up and thanking the old woman before running off without another word taking the money she had earned with her. Reiko sighed and took a deep breath. That woman was one of the ones who was nice to her.

"Reiko maybe we should head to Children's City now. If we go there you won't have to do this anymore" Shade's voice rang through her mind. Reiko sighed more spotting a group of teenage boys who where normal humans but had vowed to make her life a living hell. Ducking into the Shadows quickly Reiko nodded.

"Your right Shade" she whispered sticking to the shadows and she breathed out a sigh of relief as she snuck by the thugs and got to the exit of Eterna city the direction that would lead to Children's City.

"Good choice Rei, it's time for us to leave this place" Shade praised making Reiko smile to herself as she left Eterna city behind.

Name: Mako Reese

Nickname: Creed (Synchronized)

Age:11

Sex:Male

Appearance: Mako is somewhat tall for his age. He wears a beanie that covers most of his jet black hair, though some of it hangs down in the back. He wears a gray striped sweatshirt and carries a pair of earphones around his neck. Mako has light brown skin and green eyes. He wears jean shorts and rubber sandals. His face naturally shows signs of fatigue due to his embattled mind. On his hands are black wool gloves, which he uses as a pillow when he has no place to sleep. His sandals are slightly worn, and his dark blue socks are covered with brown stains from the mud he has trekked through. His hands are small, yet his fingernails are slightly grown out in the case that he needs to use them for combat. His arms make him seem frail due to their thinness, but his legs are toned as a result of his nomadic lifestyle and lack of transport. He is thin, but not so much that he is underweight. On his back is a medium-sized black school backpack.

Personality: Naturally, Mako is a gentle, passive soul, but after being possessed by Kraus, who often speaks devilish commands and thoughts to him, his innocent mind went into turmoil. Generally, he likes to be around others because Kraus' voice is suppressed, but do to his mind being on the brink of instability, he tends to scare most normal people away. Mako loves to read, and because of this he carries around several large books in his backpack; he specifically carries around large books because if he finishes all of his books he knows that he will be coerced by Kraus into stealing more. Mako is still passive, and avoids fighting when he can, but if he is threatened and scared to a certain point and he is forced to fight, he synchronizes with Kraus. While Mako seems frail, he harbors a surprising amount of willpower, he has to; Krause is his antithesis, and if Mako lets his guard down he will take the place of Mako's soul, killing Mako and leaving Kraus in the care of Mako's body. Thus, Mako has become more courageous and emotionally stronger to prevent such a happening.

History: Mako lived in a small house in the city of Pastoria with his mother, his father had not been present during his life at home. Mako was an adventurous boy, but he was never allowed to go to far from home. His mother, Ren, was a fishing woman who relied on her catch of the day to feed herself prior to Mako's birth. As time went on and as the virus spread, Mako's mother caught less and less fish, often not being able to bring home enough food for herself, resulting in her not being able to eat. Eventually Mako was born, which inflated the already near fatal problem for her and her newborn son. She was too pure to kill her son and too kindhearted to steal from others (which was also a matter of logic, as if she started to steal then Pastoria would just become a cesspool of crime and villainy). Still, she had to eat, so she was forced to resort to some less than reputable means of obtaining sustenance. She heard about a farm that harvested stolen berry seeds of all types. It was hidden, and very few people knew of it. She decided to start purchasing the illegal berries for what were almost exorbitant prices, and thus had to work three jobs. This tore Mako up as he got older and started to understand that, from what he'd learned from books, having more than two jobs wasn't normal, so he started looking for alternative means of obtaining food. One day, Mako heard some kids talking about a wealth of Feebas that were located in Mt.Coronet. Mako knew a lot about Pokemon as, although he'd never seen one, he had read about them in books, and because Ren was a fishing woman previously, she would greatly appreciate his venture. Mako quickly ran into his house and grabbed his mother's old harpoon and immediately left for Mt.Coronet. Once he arrived at the site where he heard the spring was located he looked left and right for Feebas. That's when it happened. The mountain started to shake, and debris and boulders started to fall all around him. The mountain was collapsing. Mako lost all hope and simply closed his eyes, a tendency he had when he got scared. Then all was quiet. Mako opened his eyes to see an incredible sight, a giant crystal. Mako started towards it, when a dark creature ran into him and entered his body. Mako's head started to hurt uncontrollably, and the commandments burned into his mind. The pain overcame Mako, and he blacked out. When he came to, he was being dragged away with a bag over his head.

Pokéspirit

Species: Deino

Nickname: Kraus

Personality: Kraus is a malicious spirit that preys on Mako's innocence. He cares not for Mako, but insists that he does in in an attempt to make Mako let his guard down and take his body, though it never works. He's a charismatic being that uses said charisma to influence Mako into doing various acts, as well as to drive Mako's mind into further turmoil. He is generally blissful, and is also very much a sadist and masochist.

Moves: Thief (Synchronized), Dark Pulse (Synchronized), Crunch (Synchronized), Dragon Breath, Headbutt

Other: Because he harbors so much hate for Kraus and resents him, Mako can't actively merge with Kraus. For them to be able to merge, Mako must (at least temporarily) accept Kraus and leave behind the resentment he holds for him. The problem with this is that Mako knows that if he lets down his guard Kraus will indeed take over his body. Even still, there are certain circumstances when they do merge, but because Mako worries what might happen if Kraus lets out his full power do to his malicious mindset, he is only able to use about three fourths of his full strength and is unable to use Dark-Type moves. Instead, he must synchronize with Kraus to be able to use them as well, as well as to utilize his full strength. When synchronized, his hair grows down to his nose, he becomes temporarily blind, and his skin gains a subtle blue tinge. He becomes two to three times stronger than he is normally, and his senses of hearing, smell, and most of all, touch sensitivity, all increase exponentially. When synchronized Mako goes under the name Creed, an alias created by Mako's slave owner before he died. Creed is a sadistic being that honors charisma and cunning above all else. Slightly masochistic, Creed shows remorse only to those who either show promise or those who are similar to Mako, who he cares for above all else. Because of this, Creed comes of as a character with twisted morals, and in many peaks of his persona he is, but he sees his malignance as a subjective matter. Creed can stay in control of Mako's body for a variable amount of time, depending on certain factors such as Mako's state of mind prior to his synchronization as well as his emotional well being in the same scenario. Mako cannot evolve due to having ingested an Everstone that was crushed up and mixed into some Oran Berry Juice served to him by his slave owner.

Opening Post: When Mako stopped, the bag over his head was removed to reveal a slightly heavy man. "This is your new home," said the man. "By the way, the name's Kalvin, Kalvin Jeer." Mako sat up and looked directly ahead to see a small building. Too disoriented to make sense of the situation as well as to ask questions, Mako opened the door to the small building. Inside was a bed, a fireplace, a dresser, and a bookshelf. Without saying a word, Mako made his way over to the bed and promptly fell asleep. The next day, he woke up to the sound of a chirping Pidgey- or what he thought was one, when actuality it was an alarm clock on the dresser next to his bed. He slapped the top of the alarm clock and it became silent. He sat up, rubbed his eyes, and looked around. This...isn't my room, he thought to himself. He then recalled the events of the previous night and became scared. He started to panic, and when he realized that that wouldn't help the situation, he became calm.

The door to his room hit the wall, creating a loud, metallic sound. "Okay, time to get to work," Kalvin said in a rather chipper manner.

"Um...where am I?" Mako asked. "Do you know what happened to my mom?"

"Oh, don't worry about that," the man replied. "As of today, I'm all the family you'll need. This is your new home." Mako's eyes widened and he became almost statue-like. Before long, the man grabbed Mako and brought him outside. "Okay, get to work," he said as he threw a hoe at Mako. What's happening? Work? This farm needs at least five people to take care of, he thought. He looked up at Kalvin with whimpering eyes, and Kalvin's expression turned from blissful to disgusted. Kalvin left without saying a word, and Mako picked up the hoe and started tilling the field.

Weeks passed and Mako started to realize that this was the "slavery" thing he learned about. As time went on the slave owner treated Mako worse and worse. Most of the food went to Kalvin, though Mako didn't starve; Kalvin gave Mako enough that he wouldn't go hungry. Kalvin didn't feel he needed to appease Mako anymore because he had established himself as Mako's only home, drilling into his head that he would not be able to leave or else he would die. Mako believed this from the depths of his heart, and never attempted to leave. Because of this, any anger Kalvin felt for whatever reason he took out on Mako. In time Mako started to hate Kalvin.

On a cold Sunday afternoon after having been beaten one day, Mako repeated to himself the words, "I hate Kalvin, I HATE Kalvin". In reply, a disembodied voice said, "Well then why don't you just go ahead and kill him?" Mako looked around to find the voice, asking who it was. "Name's Kraus, at your service." He said in a rather casual and mellow tone. "Now about this pickle you- or should I say, we find ourselves in, just kill the man and be done with it."

"I won't kill him, no matter what."

"Fine then, but at the very least let me help with the farm, you look like you need a rest."

"O-okay..." Mako said, still unsure of if he should trust this unknown entity. Suddenly, everything went dark. Mako picked up the hoe and headed for the slave owner's house. Mako knocked on the door, and Kalvin answered.

"What do you want?" He said in a disgusted tone. "I told you to get back to work! Those bruises are nothing." Mako then took the hoe, brought it behind his head, and planted it into Kalvin's chest.

"Creeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!" Kalvin yelled, blood splattering in every direction. Mako started laughing uncontrollably.

"Cree, what a hilarious cry", Mako said, still laughing hysterically. "Y'know dad, I like that name. Creed! What a wonderful name! I'm thankful for that alone, if nothing else!" Kalvin drifted away into the River Styx and once his eyes closed, Creed left the farm, setting fire to it on departure.

@Sapphire: Hmm.. well, no offense but this is very, very short. I might recommend that you expand on things a bit more? One of the major reasons humanity has gone down the toilet is the lack of enough food to feed the population, and a complete lack of any meat that doesn't come from cannibalism of some sort. Perhaps you could expand the personality / history field explaining how your character dealt with this? Did she simply steal to survive? How did she feel knowing that stealing what little food was spread between people was effectively possibly killing someone? Did she even think of that, or did it never occur to her? Just trying to help, but I'm not sure about approving this in it's current state. If you don't want to flesh it out a bit more I'll have to talk with my handy dandy helper to try to come to a conclusion.

@Machomuu: Woah! That was fast. I'll get to yours in a moment, though if length is any indication it looks like you've put in enough work.

@Sapphire: ...That additional part of her history is so.... /morbid/. I guess I'm going to go ahead an approve you then. You may begin posting as you like.

@Machomuu: The SU itself is good, but I discovered a canonity problem or two. You see, this RP is based on the games and in the games there are no non-pokemon animals. It is stated very blatantly in a certain piece of lore that pokemon are eaten for food, unlike the anime where there are normal animals alongside pokemon and the manga where nobody knows. That being said, as Pokemon are completely extinct catching 'fish' is impossible.

The only other issue is more of a confusion I had when reading your SU. You say Mako cannot use his powers unless he 'synchronizes' with his pokespirit. That sounds like the transformation a pokespirit grants, however, /nobody/ should be able to use their powers when not transformed using their spirit. That's completely normal... unless I'm misunderstanding something.

Ah, I see. Well, to explain the first part, I say "fish" because in the games they call people "fisherman" and they use "fishing rods", even though in reality they catch pokemon. It's pretty much the same deal here, Mako's mother catches pokemon, and as the virus spread (as well as Arceus' act of gradually taking them away) things started to get harder for her, to the point where she'd have very little food and couldn't feed herself.

As for the latter, I'll add on to that that, I did misunderstand how that worked. Also, I forgot a pretty important detail in the opening post, I'll need to add on to it when I get back.

@Machomuu: In the plot, pokemon are infected by an extremely contagious virus with memetic properties, which was engineered by scientists with extremely idealist goals. After a point, Arceus removed pokemon from the earth completely in retaliation. This would've all happened before your character was born, meaning there can't possibly be any fish left. I can't really bend on this, as it's one of the biggest, most powerful reasons that humanity is really suffering. On the bright side the population has thinned so much at this point that it's actually much easier to find food than it was at first (It's still hard though. At /first/, people just starting dropping like flies after a bit. unless they hoarded some food.)

But of course I'd be happy to go over it again should you need to make a few changes.

Oh, I see, well in that case I'll revise the story to reflect that.
Okay, I've revised/added on to the beginning of my History and the Beginning and end of the "Other" section. Now to watch some Steins; Gate :3

I'm considering joining in on the fun, I just have one question.

How much does a spirit wielder's appearance and features change after they combined with their spirits? Does it have varying levels of transformations, or do they even take on the pokemon's features at all?
