Rick took her free hand and held them close between themselves. "You are a wonderful person, no matter how you end up at the end of our adventure. And even if you never become a normal person y the end of our adventure, I promise to always be there for you, should you need me."

Sentiments aside, it seemed their little touching moment would have to pass when a few large stones were hurled at them. Carol had wandered off in search of Wild Pokemon at the time, which was probably for the best anyway, since they probably didn't want prying eyes on them right now.

Chapter Two: Part Seven
Team Player

Eris' cheeks burned up in a furious blush, her emotions practically melting away, only for that feeling to vanish completely as she immediately pulls away. "LOOK OUT!!" She shouted, turning to the boulders flying their way and placing her left hand on her right wrist. What was she doing? As her hand hit her wrist, a spark of light shone at their contact, and her right hand turned into a cannon of sorts. Megaman be damned All of this happened in a matter of moments, and she aimed her Mega Buster hand-cannon at the boulders, blasting them to small pieces with a few well-placed Focus Blasts. She exhaled in relief, her hand returning to the way it was, as tiny rock pieces scattered around them like rain.

Coming from the shadows, appeared an average-sized Nosepass, obviously angry and frightened from being thrown out of its home. It must have claimed this new area as its territory and was defending it against any and all trespassers. It raised its arms up, controlling the large stones around it, throwing several at them from all directions. Rick wasn't one to let Eris fight on his behalf, even though this would be the perfect opportunity to observe her abilities in combat. Pulling out McGuffin's Pokeball, the small Mushroom flew out of the capture ball, using absorb on the in-coming rock.

The rock turned out to be a collapsed Geodude, low-leveled, but in high numbers, being followed by its friends. The Nosepass seemed to be hiding the Geodude among numerous equally sized rocks it was throwing at them. "ERIS! Be careful. Some of these rocks are actually flying Geodudes. Good news is that they should all be low leveled, hunting in packs to support their own weak bodies. I'll go after the big guy while you watch my back, OK?" Hoping she understood what he needed, Rick began to run towards the Nosepass, Shroomish held in his arm like a football. This plan was stupid, but he wasn't sure if Absorb would work on normal rocks or not, and the range isn't high enough to reach the Nosepass.

Shroomish was able to use Absorb on any of the in-coming Geodudes, taking them out while keeping his energies ready. The Geodudes were both rock and ground, plus their low levels made them easy prey to Shroomish's attack. But he wasn't the only one being attacked, since Eris was in range of Nosepass's attack as well. The Nosepass also had too many rocks flying around it for anyone to aim at it properly, but there was still plenty of room for someone to slip through on their own.

Geodudes - approximately ~5, but there are a lot
Nosepass - approximately ~11

"What?? No!" She reached a hand out, watching as Rick just ran into the rocky madness. "You idiot! Let me handle this!" She exhaled slightly, and her posture began to lower toward the ground, slowly, slowly, slowly... She immediately charged toward the Nosepass, somewhat easily breezing past Rick. Her hand at her wrist once more, she was blasting the rocks and Geodudes as they came at her, the rocks shattering and the Geodudes knocked away. Immediately a giant boulder was hurled at her, and with a hurried yelp she reacted by holding her arms up in defense, crossing her arms as the blades on them collided with the rolling boulder, causing some sparks as both it and Eris were slowly pushed backward, the boulder seeming to push her away.

"Eerrrgghhhh.... RAAHHHHHH!!" She swung her crossed arms, performing an X-Scissor attack, and after a moment's silence the boulder split into four decent-sized chunks, sliced in the shape of an X right down the middle. Eris regained her posture, panting a bit. "Oh, I forgot how difficult this was," she commented between shallow breaths. She quickly charged at the Nosepass once more, closing in on her target. She slashed at a few rocks and Geodudes, but missed one as the rock flew right by her head, bouncing off of her arm with a painful thump. "Oww!" She wailed, her right arm quickly covering her left shoulder with painful winces.

"Ow..." She pouted, though her expression seemed to change. Something seemed to awaken in her, a sudden anger that was entirely out of character.

"Come on, do the attack!!" She heard a voice behind her.

"Yeah, hurry up!! Do it!!" Spoke another voice, to her side.

"Attack or you'll never leave this room!!" Came one more, in front of her.

"RRRRAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!" Eris blindly pointed her cannon-hand forward, and a red-white beam came shooting out, lighting up the dark scenery around her, pushing her body backward very slowly as the beam continued. For a good five seconds this continued, before Eris finally came to and her hand returned to normal. A clearly beaten Nosepass rested where the beam had hit. Eris began breathing heavily and unsteadily, leaning forward, both arms hanging weakly as she continued panting.

Her eyes seemed a bit dilated, as if she were in a bit of shock. She continued to heave and pant, eventually collapsing onto the floor bottom-first, sitting on the ground where she originally stood, her head directed down toward the dirt. Upon closer inspection, tears can be seen fall into the soil.

Rick was flabbergasted at the amazing power being exhibited by this amazing young woman who was both beautiful and strong. But she must have thrown out all of her strength when she did that last attack just now. But a hyper beam? If that was true, then did that mean that any Burst Warrior could do this or was she special in this regard as well. All of the geodudes ran off, terrified of the explosive power she exhibited, and there seemed to be a large rumble of pokemon running clear away from their area. Rick threw his poke ball at the Nosepass, making sure to capture the rare Pokemon, since it was completely unconscious from that last attack. Its health was probably just 1.

He made his way over to Eris after throwing the ball, needing to make sure she was ok since she was down. When he got over she was crying which broke his heart. Making sure that the Pokemon was captured, he pat his hand onto her back. "Are you ok?

Eris clutched her legs against herself as she sobbed, balling for a few minutes before jumping slightly when she felt something at her back, a hand of support given from Rick, which she realized after hearing him.

"Are you okay?"

She sniffled, tears still streaming along her cheeks, and nodded quietly, suddenly clutching her left shoulder painfully whimpering. "Ow... Stupid rock..."

Icky - This was so overdue it's not even funny. Seriously, don't laugh.

I'll say it again: this update was way overdue. My apologies. Too bad it's not much of an update — I mean, you nearly killed the poor little dude, Scyke. That was overkill. You could probably shove a stick up its lightning-fried butt and call it a kebab or something. Deep fry it and you got easy money, but you didn't. You thought to give it a little more dignity than being reduced to a tasty snack that could have started a massive fast food chain.

Scyke Fried Pokémon, it's mm, mm, good!
