"Oh, right... I have this one too, I guess," Xylo said after a little while, having watched the pokémon introduce themselves to each other. He took up the pokéball of the monster he had caught just before meeting Chris. Well, monster wasn't really the right word. Fish.

Without a word, he sent the pokémon out. Magikarp wobbled on the ground in panic for a moment, before freezing and looking up at all the eyes looking at him. "Magi," he said.

"He's not very... impressive. I doubt he can do anything. Don't know why I caught him really, it wasn't even on purpose even," Xylo said, being slightly embarrassed about the creature.

It looked up at him with its big yet somehow small eyes. Without emotion. Suddenly, Princess fluttered up and kind of slapped the boy in his face with her wings. "What are you-"

'You are mean! You should be happy! I believe in Magikarp!' the Butterfree proclaimed. Xylo, of course, didn't really understand much more than that she disagreed with what he had just said. He didn't have time to say anything back though before something unexpected happened...

The red fish in the street suddenly began to glow in white. Xylo's eyes widened. He hadn't seen pokémon evolve often, but he believed that this was it. "It's evolving...?" he said, backing closer to Christian. Not because he was afraid, but because the pokémon was suddenly growing in front of them - a lot - and pushed him backwards.

Right in the middle of the street outside of Oak Town's pokémon center, there now stood a huge Gyarados. "GYaaaaaaaar!" it roared.

"Hello..." Xylo said, a bit unsure if it would recognize him.

'Cool!' Princess giggled and floated up to the monster's face. Gyarados actually smiled when it saw her, and seemed to be exchanging some words with the butterfly.

Xylo let out a breath and smiled cockily at Christian. "So, now I have a Gyarados as well. Pretty, cool, isn't it?"

Then, the Gyarados heard him and looked down. It's smile faded and an angry look came over its eyes. "What-" Xylo began, then he screamed and pushed Christian out of the way as the Gyarados suddenly lunged at them, hitting the stones in the street instead.

"It's attacking us! Why?"

'It's attacking YOU!' Duke the Elekid commented with a somewhat amused grin.

'Master seems to have made a dishonorable mistake,' Monk the Magby said and stepped back a little instead of intervening.

'We have to help!' Princess said, worried.

'Really?' Monk said, seemingly thinking that it was Xylo's own fault that his pokémon was angry with him. 'What do you guys think?' he then asked Jet, Hydro and Note.

Atlus Midgard

Atlus had come from Unova, but even he could recognize the roar of the large, angry pokemon that appeared near the pokemon center. He was luckily, a good distance away. He returned Calamari and Flan, and ran to the general area. He saw two trainers, one wearing a Raikou jacket like he was. It had to have been one of thier Gyarados, since it evolved so far inland. More than likely, the non-jacketed one he was attacking. Unusual, since most gyarados he heard of Thrashed anything within miles of their general area, and he didn't look like he was takeing orders from anyone. Atlus wasn't sure whether he should help or stay out the way, since it was technically trainer owned. "Who's Gyarados is this?" Atlus said with as much calmness as you can have with a crazy dragon fish in front of you, which was pretty much none. Snort and Munch stepped in front of him just in case it attacked, but Atlus decided to stay out of the way unless it either attacked him or the trainers asked for help.

His pokemon talked to themselves in front of Atlus, "So, any plans to take this thing down if it attacks us?" Munch asked.
Snort answered, "Nope, and I wish we could just run. But we passed the ice cream shop before, and if that gyarados destroys the shop before I try thier ice cream, I would never forgive myself.......For the ice cream shop!!!!"
"For the ice cream shop!!!!" Munch said with enthusiasm.

Dante

Dante and Combusken were still in the forest when they come across the sight of the trees become white with what looks like snow. Although that there was ice on the trees, it was not that cold so Dante didn't need to put a heavy jacket. At that point, Dante and Combusken decided to continue on into the forest to the point where it got colder and they started to see more ice on the trees.

"By the look of the trees, we should be getting close to the plains", Dante said to Combusken.

"Com, Combusken", Combusken said as he nodded.

Kilik Chambers - Power Plant

"A-A battle?" Ruby stuttered. That must be a cover for how awesome she was! What would Ruby's first choise be? No trainer can refuse a challenge.

"I accept your challenge." It seemed she said something to her Poochyena, but Kilik couldn't hear. Wait, was she like N? Could she understand what Pokemon said? Maybe she could understand what Kiyoko says. Anyway, Ruby starts off with an Eevee.

"An Eevee. That's a pretty rare Pokemon." Kilik said quietly in his head, nodding his head from Pierce to the battlefield. Pierce, Kilik's Gligar still out of his Pokeball, flew into the battlefield & faced Ruby's Eevee. "Let's start off with Poison Sting!" Kilik gave the first order. Pierce motioned his right claw at Eevee & shot little poison needles at him. The battle has begun.

(Ooc: If a Zorua in a different Pokemon form gets hit, they revert back to their normal form.)

Academy Grounds ---> Oak Town

Maxwell smiled as Nika accepted the three on three offer, sweet, he could only imagine what kind of Pokémon she had. He knew that Larvesta could only be found in the Unova region, and even then they were hard to find, so he came to the conclusion that she must be from Unova. If she wasn't, then she had to have a HUGE amount of luck to recieve such a rare Pokémon. Maxwell had literally no idea about what Pokémon existed in Unova, part from the Bug-types, Tympoles, Zouras along with others. Maybe this would prove to help him gain new knowledge?

"Thanks!" he said to Genevieve as she kissed him and wished him luck. He smiled as she made her way under a tree and released her newly caught Meowth. He then turned back to the battle that had started.

Maxwell looked as the String Shot headed straight for Wilson, he didn't bother to tell his Swinub to dodge the attack. Wilson's act was the least dependant on speed, he could do without it. The thread quickly caught the little piglet, who didn't seem too surprised, in its grasp.

"Wilson, Stealth Rock." Maxwell said calmly.

The Swinub started to glow in a dark brown aura, veins showing focus and exhaustion started to appear on Wilson's forehead as he wriggled about, enclosed in the web. Moments later, big rocks bursted out of the ground and buried in a circle around Nika and her Larvesta. Maxwell flashed a smile, now let's see what she does...

"I'll try to think of a good password. Something that isn't easy to crack.. but yeah we should head back. I wanna stop by oak town and pick up a few things. I think I'm going to grab some TMs for Gligar here." Mark said as he got up onto his feet and stretched. Snype jumped up onto Mark's shoulder looking up at where Alexis had jumped on up to. Len also quickly took notice.

"Hey alexis! What'd ya find in there?" Len called out.

Nika Valentine

Nika pushed her glasses up her nose as she observed the string shot hit its mark. Although Swinub didn't look like a very fast pokemon, Larvesta were quite slow themselves. That string shot could help give the edge they were going to need in this battle. It seemed inevitable that Maxwell would use his Quilava against her at some stage, seeing as bug types were weak against fire types, and the only pokemon she had to mitigate that was Eve. It would be important to make sure Eve dominated this first round, since the Stealth Rock practically prevented her from making substitutions.

Inconvenient. But not insurmountable.

And altough her knowledge of Swinub was limited, she did know that they were ice type. Which meant that Eve would have an advantage here... it was a shame Larvesta grew the slowest of just about any pokemon in the world. Stronger attacks would be available to most other pokemon Eve's level, but they would just have to use what they had.

"Ember." She called out. The tips of Eve's five whorled horns burst into flame, though the fires weren't especially large. With a small cry of "Lar-VESTA!" the flames shot forward towards Wilson. In fire versus ice, fire won every time. Perhaps only a bug specialist could appreciate just how destructive fire type moves could be.

Daniel nodded his head and pushed himself to a stand as well, stretching out with a little sigh. "Yeah, that sounds good. I'll give it some thought as well. It should probably be something you can put into a sentence, and those who know about it will pick up on it." He lifted a hand to scratch his chin faintly. "Oh, and, I suppose I could follow you to Oak Town. I gotta see about that Pokégear anyway, but after that… I think I might go relax a bit, maybe draw a little bit. Which reminds me…"

He lifts the notepad and tears off the drawing on the front of it, offering it to Mark with a smile while stuffing away the remainder of his tools. "There you are! Hope you'll enjoy it." Afterwards, he looked up into the tree, squinting a little. "Alex', we're heading off! Are you coming?"

She didn't seem to respond at first, to neither Len, nor Daniel. There was a bit of rustling around before an apple fell from above, towards Snype's head. It was more dropped than thrown. A moment later, Alexis lept down along the tree trunk as agilely as she had gone up, standing up next to Daniel, paws resting on her belly and another apple in her mouth.
She seemed to be smiling, though it was hard to tell with the apple in her mouth, but she winked at Len and began chewing happily on the apple, lifting her paws to help hold it up. "Mmnh mmrhm…"

Daniel chuckled and shook his head, grinning softly. "She's always fun to be around. Anywho, let's go! It's still a bit of a way to town, so we better get a move on." He moved onwards, heading off to the side of the Cliffside and began heading down the very faint and crude path that went down through a bunch of sparse trees and bushes. Not a lot was growing right here, but it was enough to make it difficult to find your way up there if you didn't know where it was.
"Just gotta be a bit careful we don't slip and tumble here…" Daniel said, staring down at the ground while he moved onwards, careful not to trip on a loose rock or the like.

Maxwell smiled, everything seemd to go according to plan so far. He really liked it when things like these happened, just the feeling of your own strategy working... It just makes you fell smart somehow...

The brown-haired teen watched as the Larvesta shot out an Ember from its three horns. Hah, he had figured as much. Anyone who knew about Wilson's typing were bound to attempt to exploit it, however when they did so... they were in for a treat, or rather, something unexpected.

No command to get out of the way or dodge was issued by Maxwell, so Wilson just stood there, awaiting the Ember. Just because he was more fire-resistent than other Ice-types didn't mean that he liked to get burned. The attack made contact with his fur, who burst into small flames for a moment before dying out. Luckily, the String Shot he had been ensared with seemed to loosen up a bit, probably due to the heat.

Wilson looked up at his opponent, seemingly less harmed from the attack than he should've been, except for some blackened fur here and there.

"Okay Wilson, use Roar!" Maxwell exclaimed. The Swinub nodded and started to inhale deeply. After a few seconds of sucking in air, Wilson let out a guttural roar towards Eve. Slackey quickly covered his ears and almost fell off his trainer's head in the process.

"Slakoth, sla..."[Man, I hate it when he does that...]

Nika Valentine

Nika watched as the fire struck Wilson the Swinub. The attack didn't appear as effective as it should have, althouh it still did damage... there was clearly something at play here she wasn't aware of. She would have to start employing unsavoury methods if this Maxwell continued to prove bothersome...

...which he did. Stealth Rock followed by Roar. She had heard of strategies like this before, where you allowed the enviornment or battlefield to do the majority of your battling for you. Roar forced her to switch pokemon, and Stealth Rock provided damage to the new arrival. All the more reason to finish off this Swinub as quickly as possible.

As the blast of sound struck Eve she reverted to a collection of red energy, flying back into her pokeball inside Nika's bag. It was at that moment that Nika became concerned - Roar forced a random pokemon to take the place of the one hit by the move... which meant there was a possibility Parasect would be sent out even though she had no intention of using her. Beat up and exhausted from her battle with the Aipom, Parasect was in no state to battle.

If Stealth Rock hits her it would probably finish her straight away...

When a new collection of light shot out from a pokeball in Nika's bag she watched intently to see what form it would take. So long as it wasn't Parasect she could work with whoever came out...

The light struck the ground and formed into a very disgruntled looking Shelmet, who looked at his surroundings mistrustfully.

"Sage." Nika said with a hint of relief, a second before a large rock pushed itself violently from the earth, slamming into the underside of Sage's shell. He flew up into the air and flipped twice before landing the right way up with a thud, shell clamped tightly shut. Bug types were weak to rock moves, so it had hit fairly hard. And Sage was never very co-operative at the best of times, let alone when he was attacked so abruptly.

Fortunately there was a move in his arsenal that would placate him and counteract the effects of Stealth Rock.

"Sage - Mega Drain."

Sage reluctantly opened his shell, glaring out at Wilson with shining green eyes before firing a beam of emerald energy at the Swinub. If successful, the energy would connect itself to Wilson and drain off his energy, using it to heal Sage. Nika wasn't sure just how effective this grass type move would be on a Swinub, but hopefully it would even the playing field.

I need to be prepared for him to use Roar again, unless he decides my draining counter-attacks render that strategy moot. I'm sure he has other tricks up his sleeve regardless.

Rory Blake Johnson

Rory waited patiently in the boat, even though he could see the island from here. Rory stood in awe of his new home, anxiously waiting for the opportunity to prove himself in Professor Oak's Academy, where Rory would be living for the next while. Rory was told he would be in the Suicune dorm, where the most elite stay. The island looked beautiful, and the island itself looks like something of Rory's approval, something not many places or things received. Rory watched intensely as the boat neared the island. Rory was told he would be docked into Oak Town, the island's commerce centre. Rory was excited for this opportunity, as it was the best chance Rory had to improve his knowledge and skills. Rory paced back and forth quickly, passing time as he was growing impatient for his chance to be apart of the Academy. After five or so minutes of pacing, Rory heard the Captain of the small yacht say,

" We are docking at Oak Town in less than a minute."

Finally, Rory thought. The chance was here, Rory Blake Johnson would take the next big step in becoming a top-shot Pokemon Trainer. Rory heard the boat dock into harbour and Rory picked up his suitcase, which contained all he needed. Rory stepped off the boat, shook his legs in attempt to remove his sea-legs. Rory took in a large breath of air, and let it go. Finally, after a excruciating boat ride, I am here at Oak Town, Rory said to himself. Rory walked along the boardwalk into Oak Town, which was half a hour to the Academy. Rory was supposed to meet his guide in the Pokemon Center in Oak Town, but Rory felt like looking around first. Rory observed the town and its mannerisms, and concluded that it was a small town, definitely smaller than Mauville, but was decent sized. Rory felt relaxed here, and looked for the Pokemon Center. Rory walked around the town for around five minutes, mapping out everything in the town. Rory decided to meet up with his guide, who was going to show Rory to the Academy.

Ruby Sapphire Fiona Destiny - Power Plant

Kilik brought out Pierce, his gligar as his first Pokemon. 'Let's start off with a Poison Sting.' He commanded him. Pierce immediately did what he said and begun to attack Yuki.

'Yuki! Dodge and use Take Down.' Ruby commanded her. Yuki dodged the stings by jumping away and charged on Pierce.

~Oak Town

"Oh, right... I have this one too, I guess," Xylo added as he got another Pokeball and threw it in the air. Chris awaited what kind of Pokemon is it...

The ball opened and it revealed a...

Magikarp.

"He's not very... impressive. I doubt he can do anything. Don't know why I caught him really, it wasn't even on purpose even," Xylo simply said.

"Hmm..." Chris said. Chris could sense that there's something fishy going on with that Magikarp.

The Magikarp looked up at him with its big yet somehow small eyes. Without emotion. Suddenly, His Butterfree fluttered up and somewhat slapped the boy in his face with her wings.

"What are you-" Xylo exclaimed.

'You are mean! You should be happy! I believe in Magikarp!' The little Butterfree said at her trainer, clearly not happy.

Suddenly, the Magikarp glowed white. Chris only saw this phenomenon many times but, this is the first time he saw it here.

The Magikarp grew bigger in size, its body lengthening, Because of its size, Xylo is being backed up, nearing to Chris.

"It's evolving...?" Xylo asked himself as the Pokemon grew larger and larger until it stopped and the white glow faded.

Instead of a weak Magikarp, Right there, stood a strong Gyarados.

"GYaaaaaaaar!" It roared.

"Hello..." Xylo shyly said.

'Cool!' The Butterfree smiled at the Gyarados.

Xylo let out a breath and smiled cockily at Chris. "So, now I have a Gyarados as well. Pretty, cool, isn't it?"

"Uh... Yeah?" Chris said. He looked at the Gyarados again, seeing it very angry.

"What-" Xylo asked himself before he pushed Chris and himself out of the way as the powerful Gyarados lunged at them.

Instead, it hit the stones instead.

"It's attacking us! Why?" Xylo asked.

"Maybe because you insulted it?" Chris said.

Meanwhile, with the Pokemon...

'We have to help!' Princess exclaimed.

'Really?' Monk said. 'What do you guys think?' he then asked Jet, Hydro and Note.

"Octa, oc!" (Sure, I like a challenge.) Hydro pumped it tentacles in the air, ready to fight.

"Cleffa, clef, cleffa!" (We need to! Chris and Xylo are in trouble!) Note frantically said.

"..." Jet uttered.

"Octillery, octa." (That's the Jet we know and love!) Hydro laughed while the two trainers are dodging every tackle the Gyarados throws.

Xylo dodged another tackle or whatever it could be that the Gyarados was doing. "It's crazy!" he said, ignoring Christian's comment about him having insulted the fish before.

'Okay then, let's launch one attack each at it! I go with... Shock Wave!' Duke said and charged up his attack with a mischievous grin.

'Huh, I guess there's nothing else to do. I use Flamethrower!' Monk said and took a deep breath in order to fire his strongest attack.

Princess fluttered around frenetically. 'What to do, what to do-'

Duke and Monk fired their attacks and the Gyarados halted its Thrash attack when it noticed the elemental powers coming rushing at it. Not being very experienced in battle... at all... it got hit easily. The Shock Wave badly struck it, while the Flamethrower was more of an annoyance. Like Xylo, his pokémon didn't know overly much about type advantages. But Gyarados wasn't down from just this. It roared and turned to the pokémon instead of the boys.

People on the street had stopped to watch the rampage in horror. Xylo felt sweat breaking out in his face. This was even more embarrassing than having a lousy Magikarp. "Chris..." he began, but then hesitated. He didn't want to ask for help.

'Hey, you guys! How about you use one attack each as well? That'll probably take that guy down!' Duke shouted to Christian's pokémon, urging them to help immobilize the Gyarados somehow.

Maxwell watched as the Stealth Rock and Roar combo had been set in motion. Nika's Larvesta had been forced back into its Pokéball, which was good since Wilson didn't have any good moves to use against the Bug and Fire-type. Besides, the next time she would send out that Larvesta its health would get a big chunk chopped off of it. Now there was only to see what Pokémon was brought out by the attack...

A Shelmet.

Maxwell screamed of glee on the inside, a Shelmet! Another rare Bug-type for someone like him who didn't live in Unova. Oh how awesome it would be have one of those on your team...

But, another Bug-type... Did this mean that Nika was a specialist in that field? It would make sense since she had wanted to catch Shinobi, a Pokémon most trainers looked past due to its weak nature... So, two Bug-types so far, and both were from Unova... This rendered it a high probability that Nika would either have a Karrablast, a Sewaddle, a Venipede or a Joltik... Or any of their evolved forms. Whatever it was, Maxwell was sure to have a strategy for it when it came around.

The Shelmet, apparently named Sage, was struck by the Stealth Rocks. Nice! This was working out very well! But then, the Bug-type opened its shell and fired a move, Mega Drain, straight at Wilson. This wasn't looking good, Maxwell knew that his Swinub was weak to Grass-type moves. Although Mega Drain wasn't really the strongest move, it could do a big chunk of damage on something that was weak to it.

There was no time to evade the attack, Wilson was struck by the emerald beam which enveloped him in its light. The Swinub started to flail about since the attack really hurt,

"Forgive me Wilson..." Maxwell thought as he watched his Pokémon get drained by the energy.

Eventually, the attack ended and Wilson got back up on his feet. His breathing was now a bit heavier, showing that the damage he took from this attack was more severe than the Ember. But still, Maxwell had a plan for this occurance as well,

"Wilson, use Avalance!" he exclaimed.

The Swinub nodded with a grunt. He started to shake, much like a Herdier shakes off water from its fur. Small pieces of snow started to materialize around him, enveloping Wilson in some sort of a mini-blizzard. Suddenly, the snow started to clump together, forming around eight boulders of ice about the size of a football. Then, his body started to glow with the same emerald light that the Mega Drain had. The light seeked its way inside the ice-boulders, making them grow double the size.

With a small roar, Wilson flung the boulders towards Sage.

Lucia Francisco Bernavard

Lucia frowned as she thought over all the various areas Jack had presented to them and smiled, "I say we go to the Power Plant. I could see what pokemon are over there and maybe even work on expanding my team. So, why are there pokemon around the Power Plant? Is it abandoned?"

Diana coughed weakly as she fell back onto her stomach, "I want a battle!" She panted. She struggled to rise back up, but couldn't. Lucia saw this and returned the Aron back to her ball. "Looks like she still needs some more rest before we go. Do you mind if we head to the pokemon center real quick? She could be a big asset at the Power Plant."

Tyro smiled as Diana was returned, "You know! That reminds of the first day I was Lucia's pokemon! I saw her and I was like 'wow she's cool!' and she saw me and was like 'wow he's cool!' and then we knew we were cool-"

The Combusken didn't get to finish as Roberto squeezed the area between his neck and shoulder hard. Tyro fell limp as Roberto grabbed him and flung him onto his shoulder. "There, that'll shut him up for a good hour."

Samuel just snorted, "Always gets him. So, Blade, are there many powerful pokemon at the Power Plant?"

Jack Jacobs
Classroom Hall-----> Pokemon Center

Jack had no problem with a quick pokemon center stop and nodded in reply to the question Lucia had asked. As they began walking towards the center Jack overheard students running around talking about commotion in Oak Town, a pokemon going wild but he generally ignored it. Jack looked towards Lucia and Danielle "Make sure your pokemon are well prepared for the power plant, it abandoned for good reason" Jack said these words as a simple warning he didn't know them for long but he didn't want any of them to get hurt while exploring.

Blade looked at Samuel, the absol, "It will be my second time going there but my first returning to the island." Blade thought back to their first outing there and pokemon who attacked them in the process. "The pokemon aren't the strongest in the world but the attack together and are very coordinated in attack" Blade began telling the story of how he and Jack were ambushed by a crew of voltorbs and after getting through that had to deal with a pack of shinx and electrike who were hunting together.

Back then Blade was just a scyther and Jack only had the three pokemon he came to the island with but now things were different there was no way he would allow that to happen again. "I'll wait outside" Jack said as they reached the pokemon center leaning against the building as he waited on Lucia to return.

Kilik Chambers - Power Plant

"Yuki! Dodge and use Take Down." The Yuki managed to dodge the Poison Stings & charged at Pierce.

"Get ready. Knock Off!" Kilik gave the next command. Yuki coming near, Pierce did an uppercut with his claw & knocked Yuki upwards. If he (Ooc: Eevee's a boy, right?) had been holding an item, it would be somewhere else by now. "You're gonna have to do a lot better than that." Kilik said. Ruby so far is doing pretty good. Or is she just hiding her true ability?

He'll just have to drive it out of her, one way or another.

"Oof!" Snype said as an apple landed on his head. He looked up at Alexis as she jumped down the three assuming that was done on purpose. Len smilply laughed and gave off a cheery expression toward Alexis, glad she at least did something to get back at Snype, even if it might have been unintentional. He quickly hopped up onto his feet and looked down at Alexis as she ate her apple.

"Well, guess it's back home for us. Let's head on down." Len said, offering a hand to her.

Mark carefully went down the cliffside path, Snype perched onto his shoulder. He was walking fairly slowly keeping an eye for anything he could possible trip on. He'd need someone to clear this path up a little so it isn't as dangerous. Stairs might be a much but it'd be nice.

"I don't go down to Oak Town enough so I might as well go on a shopping spree there or something." Mark said.

Samuel nodded as he listened to Blade, "You must have had a workout to get through all of those pokemon. It will then be an excellent training field for us then. It's what Roberto and I have been trained for."

Roberto nodded curtly, "Indeed."

Lucia smiled at Jack, "Don't worry, I won't be long." She recalled Roberto, Tyro, and Samuel and spent only a few seconds with having the nurse heal up her pokemon. She was soon back out and released Roberto again. "Alright then. Lead the way Jack. So, why did it become abandoned? Did the pokemon just take over, or did it shut down?"

Roberto looked at Blade, "If you may answer me one question, how is it that you are so powerful. I can tell by your stance and your expression that you hold much power. In a way, you look like Abdacus."
