I am also up for helping out as well, since this is a huge roleplay. As for the interaction between him, me and Greiger...I can hold it for now while I go ahead and mainly focus on my other character. so sad, our interaction was getting good imo!

Okay! Here's my sign-up!

Name: Doctor Trisha Johnson

Nickname: "Dr. Trish" or "Dr. J"

Age: 24

Sex: Female

Job(Subject): Grass-Type Specialist/Pokemon Natural Herbs and Berries (Survival Class) 101 (Outside Class)

Appearance: *See Attachment*

Personality:

Trisha was always very bubbly, and still is. She loves the outdoors and even went as far as spending 3 years of her life in the wild under the tutelage of a very successful Bug-Type Trainer. Extremely friendly, Trisha has the sort of feel that makes people somehow flock to her. She isn't very smart however, easily falling for anyone's deceit or trickery, and usually doesn't know when she's the butt of the joke until it's too late. Trisha has a great love of helping people and trying to explain things to the best of her ability. Her patience is only surpassed by her incredible sense of direction in the wild, which was honed by her trips into the forests and mountainous areas.

History: Trisha grew up with her mother and father in Castelia City. Her mother and father were clerks at an thriving philanthropic organization based on Central Street. She lived alone most hours of the day, and spent her free time on nearby routes spending time with the wild Pokemon in the area.

It was dangerous at first, sure, but once Trisha became used to the surroundings, she soon began to automatically know where to and where not to venture. The dressing up and cosplaying different Pokemon came from when she'd met Castelia City's Gym Leader, Burgh. While working inside of his Gym, Trisha learned how to love and accept Bug and Grass Pokemon equally, despite their type difference. It made her learn to survive in the wild by distinguishing poisonous berries and herbs from good ones.

Whenever she was without food and stranded in a nearby forest, whatever the Pokemon around her couldn't do, she'd do on her own by surviving in the wild for days on end, sometimes just for fun. Her survival skills lead her to finding and catching her own Pokemon, a lonely Chikorita. She nursed the tiny Grass Pokemon back to health and later captured her. After a few more years, and an admission into a local college, her Chikorita finally evolved into Bayleef, then later into Meganium.

-Pokemon-

Species Meganium

Personality Trisha's Meganium loves the outdoors, not unlike her Trainer. She loves to use her medicinal herbs growing from her neck as a sort of healing factor in most of Trisha's school lessons. Meganium doesn't mind the younger kids that like to be a little more "hands-on" and hop on her for rides during class. If things don't go well during a class period, Meganium is always there to calm the class down and maintain control.

Level 45

Moveset

-Magical Leaf
-Body Slam
-Giga Drain
-Aromatherapy
-Frenzy Plant
-Energy Ball

--------------------------

Species Roserade

Personality Roserade is Trisha's lax and laid back Pokemon. She was caught completely by accident, while Trish was explaining the difference between Oran Berries and the berries Pokemon disguise to look like them. After the lesson, Trisha planned on returning the then Roselia back into the wild, but instead decided to keep her, due to her classes uproar about bringing Roselia back to play.

Level 42

Moveset

-Energy Ball
-Sleep Powder
-Poison Powder
-Stun Spore
-Poison Jab
-Venoshock

---------------------

Species Leavanny

Personality Leavanny was Burgh's congratulatory parting gift once he'd learned about Trisha's teaching gig at the academy. He's very playful and caring, but doesn't take well to disobedience or misbehavior during classes. Trish uses Leavanny for most of her outdoor classes, seeing as he's the most durable and has a lot of dexterity. Hos quick temper seems to come out more quickly during indoor classes, when students tend to become more anxious and impish.

Level 40

Moveset

-Leaf Blade
-Razor Leaf
-String Shot
-Double Team
-Aerial Ace
-Sunny Day

------------------------

Hope this is alright , if not I'll change it as soon as possible.

Okay I'm going to start with my character arriving by boat if that's okay, and should I add my team info to the etherpad?

EDIT: When attempting to catch a Pokémon should I just leave the ball rocking at the end of the post, or is it my decision if I capture the creature or not?

Wish my 3ds had a bigger keyboard. I hate using the stylus.

Anyway. With everyone new coming in i'm guessing I'll have enough time to situate all my characters now.

Don't forget btw Jason runs a club not a class. it starts after lunch. Anyone other then yellow reafing this my teacher character runs an advanced training club which helps train pokemons' specfic skills. It a very open method of teaching as well.

iirc it's basically your choice. As this is a sandbox roleplay, you make the shots whether you catch your own Pokemon or not. That's pretty much what some people do when they attempt to catch a Pokemon.

Lusca A. Maloii (Sign-Up)

Name: Lusca Alec Maloii

Nickname: Lucas

Age: 14

Gender: Male

Dorm: Suicune Dorm

Appearance: *See Attachment*

Personality: If there was a record that repeated the same words at the most inappropriate of times, Lusca would be that record.

Seems like the only word he knows is "power", and if he's not going stir-crazy trying to obtain more of it, he's making his Pokemon do it for him. This isn't necessarily a BAD thing, but far be it from anyone around him to describe it as a GOOD thing either. It's okay because using that little shtick of his, he's risen to the top on numerous occasions.

No, he's not your "Top 8 Semi-finalist" at the Sinnoh League Pokemon contest, but he has risen to the occasion in his academic and Pokemon studies; which is what prompted the Pokemon Academy to offer him a pass into their school.

He also pulls through in his lust for getting to the top, but it does come at a price. Lusca doesn't really manage his time well. He comes up a day late on assignments, or misses important dates by hours if he's really preoccupied. It was something that's held him back a number of times, and no matter how often he tries to stay on top of things, there just seems to be something for him to do, or something that he wants to finish before going on to the next.

As far as his social life goes, Lusca doesn't mind keeping to himself; even though he's not the BEST company to keep. He'd love having a friend or two, but where could he squeeze in the time to hang out? Could he put off planning his next big Gym Badge challenge for a little R&R with his classmates?

...No ... probably not. That project's not gonna finish itself ; have to put off his friends til later.

Whatever company Lusca decides to actually keep, they seem to always understand that he's all about hard-work and dedication, although secretly he wishes SOMEONE could tear him away from his studies more times than nawt. All apart of that "lust for power" thing, I suppose...

History: Lusca grew up in the slums of Saffron City, the central hub off all things Psychic. He wasn't actually IN the slums, no, more like the kind of thing where if you walk to school in the morning you're bound to walk through the bad end of the city ...that kind of thing.

Lusca spent whatever free time he allotted himself at or in the slums, observing the Pokemon from a safe vantage point. The Pokemon in that area amused him, they intrigued him. They usually became the subject of most of Lusca's class projects. Like it was said before, "broken record".

After a while, Lusca finally told himself he knew enough about all the Psychic-Type and Poison-Type Pokemon that roamed around in that area, so he decided to give himself his own hands-on lesson. After about a week, he'd become friends with a tiny Grimer, who he'd brought home to show his parents.

His mother and father already disapproved of how often Lusca spent time in the slums, claiming it was ruining his study habits (how little they know). Grimer became the seal on the deal, with his parents allowing their son to keep him, so long as his grades don't falter and he takes care of the Pokemon himself.

With that, he decided to name Grimer "Slick" and he'd kept it with him up until his 11th birthday (3 years). On that day it was decided that he'd become old enough to be sent out on his own and explore all the regions of the world... wait, WHAT?

Yes, mother and father sent Lusca off around Kanto to "see the world" and "broaden his horizons". With a somewhat heartfelt goodbye, he was sent off to the Pokemon Trainer Academy ... and the rest, as they say, was history.

---------------------------------

Pokemon:

Species Grimer
088.gif

Nickname Slick

Personality: Slick is the brave one. Lusca might be too, but Slick has enough bravery for an entire community. Living in the slums of Saffron City did it to him, seeing as living there meant that you lived by "dog eat dog" and "kill or be killed". As a Grimer, he not only fought for food, he fought for his life most times.

Suddenly though, one day his luck had turned around. Food was becoming WAY easier to find, and it somehow looked more fresh; not old and decaying like he'd been used to. What surprised him most was the location. Slick was still in the slums, sure, but the location of the food was put in places close to the outskirts, where people usually never dump garbage, especially not of that quality.

Doing a little investigation of his own, Grimer soon found out who'd began placing his everyday meals. None other than Lusca himself. With a grateful hug, which Lusca almost mistook as an attack, Grimer thanked the stranger and followed him home too.

Level: 23

Moves:

-Poison Jab
-Minimize
-Flamethrower (TM)
-Mud Bomb
-Thunderbolt (but it can only be used after an Electric-Type move is used on him)
-Dig

--------------------------------

Species: Abra
063.gif

Nickname: Lleba (Pronounced - Ell•bah)

Personality: All this Abra does all day is sleep ;your typical textbook Psychic-Type. When he's awake however, Lleba exhibits amazing Psychic abilities. He was actually captured during Lusca's short journey, when he entered a cave with his then newly named Grimer and found the Abra sleeping. Without a fight, he was caught, and Lusca named him once he'd awoke.

Level: 18

Moves:

-Teleport
-Psychic
-Ice Punch
-Shadow Ball
-Shock Wave
-Energy Ball

---------------------

@CrumbledCandyWrapper: Alright, both your characters are accepted. ^^;

@TurkishDelight: Yes, and yes! Make sure to update your team to the etherpad. Anyone can edit it, so you don't even need my permission to go in and edit your levels and whatnot. The etherpad is important because without it, I'm physically incapable of meeting all the demands for team updates on my own. (That's why we got the etherpad really. It became too much.)

It's your decision whether you capture a pokemon. I will generally only get involved if a very powerful NPC is at play, such as a champion, Gary Oak, NPC Rocket Spies.

Stuff like that.

Okay thanks! So ... I'm going to make my first post in the IC Thread, but I'm not sure what I should SAY exactly. If I make it on the island who do I talk to?? Were do I go exactly? :/ And what about Trisha?

Do I just pretend she's been teaching there the whole time.

@CrumbledCandyWrapper I'm pretty sure that it's more or less up to you how you have your characters enter. I pretty much decided for myself.

In other news, I added reference pictures for my two characters under their appearance descriptions.

@silverexorcist & @crumpledcandywrapper Hey guys. I noticed in both your posts you seem to be under the impression that the IC time is morning/noon time. It's actually late evening, and we're likely to be moving onto the next IC day sometime in the next month. Hopefully this will help prevent any confusion.

Well darn ... and here I thought I was just gonna sandbox the passing days.

But hey thanks alot. @West from clearing that up.

I'll get back on track by the next IC day, but for now I'm just trying to get used to the RP itself.

@CrumbledCandyWrapper: I would recommend having your character interact with another RPer's character. There's a list of the accepted characters including who they're played by on the first page, and if you want to know more about that character you can also find their SUs via the player profile section on the first page. I'd recommend getting in contact with that person via VMs or PMs or however and asking them about interacting with whichever of your characters. (It can be anyone, really.) The asking is more about making sure they're active and aware of your posts so that you don't feel ignored and less about actual permission.

You can act like your teacher was there the entire time, or you can act like she was just hired. It's completely up to you, as there's no reason she couldn't have been there for a while and just not have been interacted with.

Well who's available to interact with my OC's?

Because right now Trish is in a random corridor in the halls of the main building, and Lusca just opened the door to the cafeteria to seek help.

I guess what I'm really asking is who's currently in the main building and who else took refuge in the cafeteria ... that are willing to help my characters out, that is...

Well, Danielle's at the cafeteria with Lucia (Greiger's character) and Mark (Megaman's character). So maybe you can drive your character towards them and ask them for help if you like. We were about to head out anyways, so instead of me heading to the dorm, Danielle can show you the ropes around the campus.
