Social Media Team Applications

PC's Social Media Team needs new Facebook & Twitter team members. We currently have over 2,900 people following the Facebook page & over 3,900 following the Twitter page. We would love to add team members to help engage & interact with them! We highly encourage you to apply, experience is not essential, just your time and dedication!

What do we want?
There are two main roles within the Social Media Team:​
  1. Runners - Runners actively locate quality memes, mukposts, artwork, and other content to share/post on FB/Twitter.
  2. Posters - Posters will be responsible for posting content created by Runners, as well as engaging with people on our social media platforms.
    You will primarily be responsible for thinking up of your own unique content to promote. You can share interesting content from the forums, post a meme or two, post quizzes, engage with our followers and share news — there are so many fun things you can do!

As a Social Media team member we request you use your best judgment on whether certain content should be promoted on our platforms. You will have to write up the post, include relevant images, and credit all fan content creators if their work is used.

Lastly, you will be required to involve yourself in discussions related to your platform in the Social Media Staff Lounge. Here is where our team comes together to plan events, look at and discuss statistics, or just keep up with what their fellow team members are doing.​

Because this is a PC Staff position there will be a selection process and a discussion for each interested candidate. We will be evaluating each applicant's forum activity, demeanor, and perceived ability to do the job applied for. For this reason part of your application includes the submission of examples of the type of work you would be contributing to the team (see applications for details).

When is the deadline?

We'll continue accepting applications until we find enough fitting applicants to bring onto the team, so that could range from a few days to a few weeks (or possibly longer). For that reason it's best to get your applications in as soon as possible!​
Final notes:
While we are currently actively seeking Social Media Staff for Facebook & Twitter, there is no telling what team members we'll need in the future, though, so if you don't get selected this time around... you're not out of the running forever.
