Warning: Romance Ahead!
Yup. Again.
Disclaimer: It's been a long time since I beat this game, so I can hardly remember some parts of it. Because of this, some facts about in game events may be a bit inaccurate (Please don't hurt me :()

What town is your gym going to be located in? Cheren chewed on the tip of his pen before taking it out and writing a response on the form. "Aspertia" Cheren mumbled as he slowly and delicately wrote his response "City" As he finished writing, he yawned and looked down at his watch. "Geez, how long have I been at this?" He had been sitting there filling out forms for an hour now. They weren't even good questions! He had been answering the same questions over and over again. This was the eighth time he had written where his gym would be located. Looking outside the window, Cheren could see that that dusk had already fallen. Sighing, he got up and turned on his lamp, casting shadows across his living room. "Alright, I'll just finish this one and then stop for the night. At least this next one looks a little bit different." Cheren looked down at the document and read the next question.

Have you ever been directly involved or affiliated with Team Plasma? Cheren chuckled. He was somewhat the opposite. He was actually one of the ones that brought Plasma down. Admittedly, though, it was more Hilbert's doing. He and Bianca were more supporting him than actually helping. Smiling, Cheren wrote No on the appropriate blank next to the question. There weren't many questions left on the page.

Have you ever come into contact with or spotted a member of Team Plasma? The question made Cheren laugh once more. He had seen, and in fact battled countless Plasma Grunts alongside Hilbert. After the trainer had defeated him, Cheren escorted Ghetsis to the police. To Cheren's surprise, he found Bianca outside when he got outside of the Pokémon League. Apparently, she had heard what had happened and came to see if everyone was alright. After handing Ghetsis in, he explained everything to her. She seemed genuinley impressed in what Hilbert accomplished, but for some reason, she kept interrupting to ask if Cheren was alright. She asked after almost every mention Cheren made about him fighting grunts. For whatever reason, she seemed very concerned. Cheren started thinking hard about it. She had known him for almost her entire life. She also knew how good of a trainer he was, so why was she so worried about him?

A sudden beeping sound snapped Cheren back to reality. Looking down, he could see that his watch was announcing another hour gone past. Cheren shook his head and got back to the paperwork. After thinking for a while, Cheren answered the question, stating that he had encountered and defeated them on numerous occasions.

What made you want to become a gym leader? The next question read. This one puzzled Cheren. Why were they asking this if he had been offered this position in the first place. It was right after Team Plasma was defeated and Hilbert became the Champion of Unova. Cheren had, of course, heard that the Pokémon League was going to be reworking itself after the League had been infiltrated by Team Plasma. The news made Cheren nervous. The way he understood, the last time this had happened was in Kanto, and it wound up having to combine itself with the Johto League. He was surprised, however, when he received a request in the mail to become the new gym leader of Aspertia City. Cheren found the request incredible. Sure, Aspertia was on the opposite side of the region from Nuvema Town, but it was a once in a lifetime opportunity.

For some reason, however, Bianca didn't seem to feel the same way. When he told her the news, Bianca seemed upset. She acted excited, as always, but Cheren could see that something was off about her. Why would she be downtrodden? "I'm afraid I'm never going to understand her," Cheren said. "This is a golden opportunity for me, why should she be sad now?" And it wasn't just that day. Bianca hadn't really been acting herself ever since he told her. Usually she was upbeat and happy to an almost irritating level. Thinking back, Cheren wasn't even sure if he had ever seen Bianca frown before.

But that was Bianca. Always smiling, never down. Even in the most dire of consequences, Bianca would still be beaming and humming a little tune. She was always there for Cheren. Ever since they were children. Thinking about it brought a smile to his face.

Until he dropped his pen. Looking down, his mind was brought back to him. What was wrong with him tonight? He just couldn't stop thinking about her. "I've got to get to bed." Cheren said, blaming his inability to work on drowziness. It's a shame Bianca wasn't here with her Musharna. She had gotten it in the Dreamyard and, if he was not mistaken, it knew how to manipulate dreams. She always took such good care of it. For her few faults, Bianca was an amazing trainer, not to mention brave and smart and beautiful.

Cheren his head again and slapped himself awake. Where did that come from? Cheren looked back down at the form and hastily filled it out. There was just one more question left on this form. "Alright, let's just do this last question, then I have to get to bed." Cheren read the last line of text on the page. Do you have any notable or distinctive clothing items? Cheren puzzled over the question. Why would that mean anything? Cheren shrugged. At least it wasn't asking him where his gym was going to be again.

Looking down at his apparel, Cheren couldn't see anything that stood out. A white button up shirt, black trousers, and red rimless glasses. This along with his blue coat, which was hanging next to the door. Nothing very impressive. He had always dressed to look dignified.

But Bianca was a different story. She always wore a dress of white, orange, and lime green. One could say that her entire outfit was. "Notable or distinguishing clothing item" But overall, it was her hat. That lime green beret over her wild mess of blond hair. Cheren had never seen her not wearing it. Actually, he did, but just once. It was after Team Plasma had been defeated, and there was a small festival being held in Nimbasa City. Hilbert and Bianca decided that they wanted to go, but Cheren decided against it. Upon hearing this, Bianca suddenly got a horrendous stomach ache and didn't want to go anymore. Cheren, of course, knew exactly what she was doing. He ultimately caved and said he'd go, miraculously curing Bianca.

After getting ready, Hilbert and Cheren stood outside of her house for ages wating for Bianca to get ready. In the end, Hilbert decided he'd go on ahead of them, leaving Cheren to wait alone. Eventually, Bianca came out wearing a green dress. After heading back into the house a few more times, Cheren called out his Unfezant and they both flew to Nimbasa City. Before they even landed, Cheren could see that a small section of the city had been roped off and decorated with lights and tents. Music was playing over a loudspeaker system and nearly everyone was dancing.

Once there, they almost immediately seperated. Cheren started standing alone, waiting for the night to end. He would've succeeded to, were it not for Bianca. At one point, Cheren noticed the crowd forming a circle around someone. Occasionally, Cheren could see Bianca's unmistakable bright blond hair hopping up over the crowd. Cheren starting trying to wade through the crowd so that he could see what was going on. When he finally managed to fight his way to the front, Cheren hardly had time to think before he was grabbed and whisked into the circle by Bianca. When Cheren tried to get out of the circle, people just laughed and blocked him. Seeing no other alternative, Cheren turned around to dance with Bianca.

But Bianca didn't even give him a moment before grabbing him and spinning him around. Cheren had practically no dancing expierience. This kind of thing was never his strong suit. But it didn't seem to a problem, as Bianca seemed to be doing most of the work. Spinning him, twirling him. She even threw him into the air at one point. It wasn't until the dance was over that Cheren regained his bearings and looked up at Bianca, who was laughing. As soon as he looked, he froze. Before this, he hadn't really paid attention to her or her dress. But now that he could see it, he wished he had.

She was wearing a lime green shirt dress. Nothing much, but it looked amazing on her. Her hair was, for once, neatly combed down. Then there was the way her eyes glittered in the lights. Cheren also listened to her laugh. Her light, happy laugh that even made him chuckle a little bit. At that moment, he froze. He couldn't move or look away, like he was paralyzed. He never forgot that moment. How truly, truly beautiful Bianca looked.

Back in the present, Cheren snapped out of deep thought again. This was getting ridiculous! "Alright, alright. It's time for me to go to bed." Cheren said as he neatly stacked the papers he'd been working on before turning and walking toward his room. Suddenly, he heard a knock at the door. "Oh, what the heck!" Cheren complained, crossing his living room to the door. He started preparing himself to just say no the whomever was out there. "This is ridiculous, who could that be at a quarter to midnight?" He said as he opened the door.

"Hi Cheren!" Bianca's upbeat voice rang out from behind the door as Cheren opened it to see his friend standing there, beaming.

Is this story worth continuing?

It's a question I've been asking myself a lot ever since posting this. I don't really like how this story went. I wrote a story based on a premise I had, and little more. I didn't have anything planned for this ahead of time, just a thought.

I've posted the first part, so I can't just delete it, but I don't know if I should continue if I'm not sure I can do well.

So what do you guys think? Should I at least try to continue? Should I just give up?

You know what? Asking that, I think the answer is clear. I should at least give it a try! I shouldn't just make it halfway and give up! I'm gonna give it a try and make the second part! The first part may not have been great, but I'll just have to make up for that! Let's go!

Thanks for the advice, me!

I'm welcome, me!

No, this isn't Chapter 2 either.

I'd just like to say a few things. First, I'm sorry about the last reply. When I started writing it, I really did have the intention of asking the question, but I was tired at the end and turned it into a joke. My apologies.

Second, I'm going to start working on my next story and come back to this one later. I'm having trouble with it and I think I should just start another for now. I'm not giving up, however. I do intend to make Chapter 2, just not now.

Thank You All For Reading!

Warning: Romance Ahead!
Yup. Again.

Cheren was quite taken aback, to be honest. And not just because his childhood friend just came knocking on his door just as he couldn't stop thinking about her at nearly midnight. It was her positivity. He hadn't seen her this happy since before he had told her that he was becoming a gym leader. Tonight, however, she was smiling from ear to ear.

"Hey Cheren! Did I wake you?" Before Cheren could respond, Bianca continued "Great! Hey, since you're up, do you want to go get something to eat?" Cheren just stared in confusion and placed his hand on his face and sighed. "Is something wrong?" Cheren moved his hand and looked at her. She seemed so excited.

"No, nothing. I was just working. In fact I still have a bit more to do" Cheren answered.

"Oh," Bianca looked disappointed. Honestly, she was kinda cute when she was upset. The way her lips stuck out into a small pout. It was adorable. Cheren shook himself out of it. "Well, I was just having trouble sleeping and guess I would just… well maybe I'll just ask Hilbert… or better yet, I guess I just won't bother him either…" Cheren sighed "Maybe I'll just go alone… I was just thinking you might want to come." Cheren knew exactly what she was doing. He looked back at the pile of papers on his desk. There was no way he was going to get it done anyway.

"No, no, it's fine, I'll go." Cheren threw his hands up in surrender. "I can finish it tomorrow." Besides, perhaps spending some time with Bianca could snap him out of this whole thing. "Where did you have in mind?"

Bianca immediately lit up. Her pout turned back into a wide smile. "Great! I thought I'd just go to the cafe in Accumula Town! It's not that far, and Route 1 looks so lovely this time of year! C'mon, let's go!" Cheren smiled as he grabbed his blue jacket, putting it on as Bianca bounced in place and started running off without him. Cheren rolled his eyes and started running after her.

When he finally caught up to her, she slowed down. As they walked side by side, Cheren stayed quiet for the most part, but Bianca happily hummed and skipped along. She seemed extremely happy, well, more than usual. It was comforting. Bianca had seemed down recently, ever since he told her about the gym offer. But now, she seemed delighted. Looking over at her, Cheren could see something bouncing around in her pocket as she skipped. It looked like a crumpled piece of white paper. Cheren didn't think much of it. It was probably just a tissue or something.

"Just look at those flowers, Cheren!" She yelled excitedly, pointing to a field on the side of the route. Bright yellow flowers swayed in the wind under the moonlight as Patrats and Lillipups ran around, playing. Admittedly, Bianca was right. It was beautiful. Cheren smiled as he kept walking.

...right into a man wearing a leather jacket.

"Hey!" The man shouted, turning around. He was bald and pale, with a design of a Krookadile on the back of his jacket. "Whadya think you're doing?"

"I'm sorry, we weren't looking where we were going." Cheren apologized, his voice shaking a little bit. "It won't happen again, I promise."

"You're darn right, toothpick!" Cheren gritted his teeth at the name, but kept quiet. He may be prideful, but he was also smart. There was no way he could take this guy. "Now get outta here before I knock ya all the way to Kalos!" Cheren obediently started walking by, hoping not to make a scene. As beautiful as this route is, he started to consider flying back to Nuvema when they were done.

As Cheren walked past, Bianca followed closely behind him. When she passed the goon, he adopted a smug look "Well, well, what have we here? A pretty little thing like you going out with a miserable little twig like this!"

Bianca looked infuriated, but still didn't talk as she closely followed Cheren. Suddenly, the goon reached out and grabbed her arm. "Listen, howzabout you ditch this twerp and go out with me instead, huh? I know a really nice place." As she started struggling against him, Cheren whirled around and launched himself at the goon.

"Let go of her!" Cheren shouted as he attempted to shove the goon, only succeeding in amusing him. Laughing, the goon used his free hand to swat Cheren back, knocking him down.

"Cheren!" Bianca shrieked. Without hesitation, she used her free hand to rummaging through her bag to find a Pokéball, immediately throwing it down. The ball opened, releasing several white bolts of light, blinding the goon, who let go of Bianca and threw his arms over his eyes. The white bolts took shape as a massive hound Pokémon "Stoutland, use Ice Fang!" The dog's teeth glowed white in its mouth as it lunged forward, biting the goon on his arm.

"Gah!" The goon exclaimed in pain as he ran away. Bianca recalled her Stoutland and put the Pokéball back in her bag. Then she ran over to where Cheren was lying on the ground and helped him up.

"Oh Cheren, thank you! Thank you so much! I don't know what I would've done!" As soon as Cheren got to his feet, Bianca threw her arms around him in a hug. To be honest, Cheren didn't really know what he was being thanked for. All he remembered was getting knocked to the ground and watching Bianca handle the rest. Before he had time to think about it, she grabbed his hand and started running down the route once more. "C'mon, Cheren, I'll pay for your food, let's go!"

________•-•_______________________________________________

They managed to reach Accumula Town without any more incidents. Once there, it wasn't hard to find the café Bianca was talking about. It wasn't very full, just a few people sitting at the tables quietly talking. There was another man wearing the same Krookadile jacket as the goon, but it was obviously a different guy. Besides, this one was asleep anyway. Bianca ordered them a table for two and they sat down. The café itself didn't much different than the others in Unova. If anything, there was a different in lighting.

The waitress came over to serve them and they ordered. Bianca ordered Lemonade, and Cheren just asked for some Fresh Water. The waitress left and after about a minute came back with a yellow can and a clear bottle. "Thank you" Cheren said as Bianca opened her can and started drinking. Cheren tipped the waitress as she walked away. After that, Bianca and Cheren just sat in front of each other. Bianca looked like she was about to talk a few times, but kept stopping herself.

Cheren decided to talk first. "Did you hear about the new studio in Virbank?"

Bianca looked at him "Oh yeah! Professor Juniper was telling me about that! They can record movies there, right? Professor Juniper was telling me that one of the gym leaders is starring in some of those!" Bianca was smiling at the conversation breaking the silence.

"Really, cool. I'll have to go check it out sometime. Virbank City is practically right next to Aspertia." Cheren said, taking another drink of his water. The smile on Bianca's face quickly faded and she took another drink of her Lemonade. "Bianca, what's wrong? Everytime I mention going to Aspertia City, you seem down. What's wrong?"

Bianca shook her head and unconvincingly smiled. "Nothing, nothing, Sa La Vie" Cheren looked up at her in confusion "Sa La Vie, it's a phrase from Kalos. I think Professor Juniper said it meant 'Oh Well' or something." As she spoke, her smile became more and more genuine, Cheren noticed.

"Professor Juniper seems to have told you a lot recently." Cheren asked her quizzically.

"I've been talking to her a lot lately." Bianca put her drink down and straightened her back. When she spoke she seemed excited. "In fact, that's why I really called you here." She pulled out the white piece of paper that Cheren had seen earlier. It was an envelope that was still sealed. "I sent her a letter recently about an offer, and this is the answer. Cheren, I want you to be here when I open it. You're my best friend, and it would mean a lot to me."

Cheren was slightly taken aback. He had no idea what Bianca may have been asking the Professor, but he nodded. "Well I'm here now, let's do it." Bianca smiled before opening the envelope and reading the letter aloud.

"Dear Bianca Cedar,

I would like to formally apologize for the tardiness of my reply. As you know, my work often takes me away from my office, and I had to take care of some business in Castellia City. I would like you to know that I read and responded to your letter as soon as I returned.

Regarding your request to become my student, and to eventually become a Pokémon Professor yourself," Cheren was somewhat surprised by this. Bianca, after all, was something of a klutz, so the thought of her in a lab setting was strange to say the least. "I must inform you that I am not currently… interested… in having a student and…" As she read, her voice got quieter and slower until she just stopped reading and put the letter on the table and looked down.

"Hey, Bianca, cheer up," Cheren said as he craned his neck trying to make eye contact with her, just to find that her eyes were closed. Cheren grabbed the note off of the table and read the rest of it. Smiling, he started reading aloud.

"I must inform you that I am not currently interested in having a student and I would like you to know that my original intent was to deny your request, but then I remembered the first time I met you. Your determination and unbendable persistence stood out to me immediately and along your journey I observed that no matter what stood in your way, you kept fighting until you won. Some may say that you're clumsy, but when I look at you, I see the curiosity and determination that I had when I began this job." Cheren looked up to see Bianca, who had opened her eyes and was looking at Cheren. He handed the note back to her and Bianca began reading again. As she spoke she got faster and more excited.

"With this in mind, I am more than happy to accept you and look forward to working with you!

Sincerely, Marilyn Juniper!" Bianca started bouncing in her seat, attracting the attention of some of the other café patrons. She looked so happy. It even made Cheren smile. The way her face lit up and that laugh, that wonderful laugh, filled the air. It was stunning.

Cheren slammed his hand on the table. Enough was enough. He got up and started for the door, and Bianca quickly got up and followed after him.

"Cheren? Cheren?! What's wrong? Cheren!" Bianca grabbed his wrist before he could get to the door.

"It's nothing, Bianca. It's just… you're just…" At saying this, Cheren looked back at Bianca. He wished he hadn't. He could see the joy draining from her face as he said it. She looked devastated. Just a second ago she was happy as could be, but in that moment she was on the verge of tears. "No, I mean… It's just… I… I can't…" Cheren looked around at the small audience that their interaction had formed.

"W-what? What do mean? I'm what?" Bianca said sadly. Her sad face pulling at Cheren's heartstrings. Cheren lost his patience with himself.

"Bianca, listen, it's not you, it's me! I've been trying to get work done all evening, but I can't! Every question I try to answer just reminds of you! Your eyes, your smile, your hat, I just can't stop thinking about you and I don't know why!" Cheren started yelling, disregarding the ever growing audience. Bianca just looked stunned. "Who knows, maybe I'm going crazy! Maybe I just need some sleep! Maybe I'm in love with you!" Bianca looked taken aback "I don't know, but I just… need some time to think about it!" as Cheren finished, Bianca simply stood in stunned silence before speaking softly.

"I-I think I can help you decide… may I? Or well, you know, do you want me to?" Nearly desperate for an explanation as to what was happening to him, Cheren nodded. "W-well then close your eyes." With a sigh, Cheren obeyed, shutting his eyes.

Cheren couldn't see anything, but he could hear the small crowd shush one another and go silent. Cheren slightly blushed as he realized that they had witnessed his entire outburst. Cheren could also hear Bianca's heavy breathing as she came closer to him…

…and kissed him.

How best to describe it, the kiss. In a word, exhilarating. In many, it was incredible, unlike anything Cheren had ever experienced. In that moment, he completely forgot about the audience, the letter, the forms, and even the goon from earlier. In that moment, nothing else mattered, and nothing else existed. As Bianca wrapped her arms around his neck, Cheren did the same, kissing her back. He could feel the warmth between them. It was exhilarating.

…And the audience simply applauded.

Very sorry about the long wait, as well as the confusion, but I've finally decided to keep the schedule and continue to work on this story. I'm sorry if parts of it are bad.( or terrible)
