Question: Emoji usernames?

I've noticed some users have emoji usernames here. I don't want one, but I'm wondering how that works? It doesn't break the website or anything, does it?

I didn't know how or where to ask this, so I'm making a thread about it because it's been bothering me for awhile.

Usernames are unicode text, which allows for letters, numbers, and other symbols, including emoji. It doesn't break the website at all.

I was thinking the same thing
