Ice/Fairy is definitely a combination I want to see, it would make for a total advantage against Dragons (at least most of them). The 4x Steel weakness would suck but not many Dragons tend to learn those moves anyway.

Yes an interesting type advantage against dragons although some dragons learn iron tail or metal claw but many trainers dont bother to keep those moves so it would be a pretty good tank ice and electric will be my favorite but wat about a ice and grasss havent seen them yet

Ice/Grass types have Abomasnow and Snover. In addition, Abomasnow also Mega Evolves, so that makes him very overpowered.

Well kinda yes abomasnow is a grass and ice but hes not great i like him with hail blizzard and wood hammer an maybe ingrain but hes not op hes got weaknesses to fire 4x steel 2x fighting 2x flying 2x bug 2x and poison 2x thats a lot of weaknesses making him very vulnerable we need a ice and grass type tank so it can have that dual type without the weaknesses KO-ing him as soon as hes sent out

Actually, Abomasnow's pretty tanky compared to most other ice-types. Even if his previous evolution was rather squishy, he gains more bulk in mega form. I don't think he'd necessarily get one shotted either and he'd be able to also combat flying types with ice moves while having no trouble with ground. He doesn't even need Hail in his moveset since he has Snow Warning for 100% accuracy blizzard. Heck yeah. I agree the weaknesses are a bit much but at least he can handle popular types such as water and electric while also having an ability that greatly benefits himself. :D

But I wouldn't mind another grass/ice actually. Although ideas for what it could be are lacking at the moment. :(

Who do you think is the hardest and easiest ice-type specialist?
I think
Hardest: Elite Four Lorelei
Why?: Well, Lorelei is ok... but I couldn't continue on one time when I played Pokémon Red. Her Dewgong is hard to beat since I only used these Pokémon...
Mewtwo Lvl77 - 2 Aurora Beams
Mew Lvl14 (trick) - 1 Aurora Beam
Ditto Lvl79 - 1 Aurora Beam before Transform. Aurora Beam made a critical hit.
Muk Lvl50 - Rest ... ... ... Aurora Beam (I forgot d oders sori)
Then I lost! Then I stopped playing that Red...

Easiest: I don't t think I battled any of them to be easy...

For easiest Gym leader, I would have to say Brycen. Why? I only say he was the easiest because he was the only Ice specialist that I one-turned every time. But, to be honest, I though most of them were hard, because of their Gym layout. All the sliding around and running into people was enough for me.

If there's an ice-cube Pokémon, would it only be ice type?
And if it evolves using a fire stone, it would melt so it will become an ice, water Pokémon.

Cloyster is an ice, water type right? And so is Lapras.
are there anymore multi-types that are half ice and half others?
Abomasnow is an ice, grass so it's a multi-type.

Articuno Ice/Flying
Delibird Ice/Flying
Dewgong Ice/Water
Jynx Ice/Psychic
Weavile Ice/Dark
Mamoswine Ice/Ground
Walrein Ice/Water
Kyurem Dragon/Ice
Amaura Ice/Rock

I dont think any ice type would evolve with a fire stone and if it would i think it would be ice/fire because it wouldnt consider it melting and the only way it would make sense to evolve would be if its fire and the ice wouldnt melt. And an ice cube pokemon although i feel it would be stupid would be ice and water or just ice unless they added some extra powers to an ice cube lol

They're close but not the same Crygonal obviously snowflake i was kinda disappointed by it its not that powerful. Vanillite, Vanillish, Vaniluxe All ice cream cones starts out as sherbet then single scoop then dual cone! Always criticized as a stupid looking pokemon and one of the only ones made by Americans but i like it sure it doesn't look great but hey its powrful flash cannon takes care of some of its weaknesses and its ice type moves are pretty good. Wat about frost breath? Frost breath or ice beam? Ice beam is more powerful but frost breath gets crits which can be even more powerful.

If you're gonna hack a Pokémon game, will you add an ice-type specialist? And will that specialist be Elsa? And what will be her Pokémon if you battle her?

An ice cube mon isn't exactly doing anyone harm. Maybe it's on the uncreative side but what of it? Its been overargued in the past with mons such as Magnemite, Voltorb and most recently our hated fifth gen dessert, Vanilite. It doesn't even have to be an ice cube on its own. We could go down the Dwebble/Crustle route with the ice acting as a shell and a pokemon living under its protection or ice cubes just complimenting the design in general. There's a lot of potential in any concept and even ice cubes can be turned into something cool compared to a total meltdown. :)

The fire stone idea could work. It's unlikely that Gamefreak would do something like it though. Most pokemon fans getting started on the series in x gen would be like "what's going on? where did the idea of giving fire to ice come from?" etc. I like it but I think it'd be better for Gamefreak to just create a fire/ice through the fire stone and let the previous evolution be water/ice.

Frost Breath vs Ice Beam?
Spoiler:

Ice Beam, no contestion. Even if Frost Breath always crits, you should also consider that it only has 40 damage. (which sounds kind of awful when you think about it. ;__;) So yeah, Ice Beam feels like a better move in terms of animation, name and power. Nothing wrong with Frost Breath though. :p

And lastly,

If you're gonna hack a Pokémon game, will you add an ice-type specialist? And will that specialist be Elsa? And what will be her Pokémon if you battle her?

I don't hack but in the hypothetial situation that I did, probably not. Up until about Wednesday, I hadn't ever seen Frozen nor was I really interested in the movie. Even then, I didn't really like Elsa as a character. Sorry. :( So if I were to use an ice-type specialist it'd probably be something more like Santa Claus or Jack Frost. ... which doesn't sound any better now that I think about it but whatever :D And if it had to be from the movie Frozen, then you can't go wrong with Olaf. As for their teams, I'd probably make them all have stuff like Cryogonal (seems like such a Jack Frost pokemon) or the Winter Sawsbuck for Santa. Just stuff that suits them generally.

What is your favorite Ice-type move? Ice Shard. It's a good priority move which hits dragons, Thundurus, Landorus and Gliscor, and it also looks amazing in the anime.

I generally like tough-looking ice-types, such as Weavile and Mamo. I absolutely hate Glaceon, though, and I don't know why so many people like it. -_-

And if a Pokemon has access to both moves, there's almost no reason to use Ice Beam, considering Frost Breath breaks through Calm Mind and Quiver Dance boosts.

Um add an ice type specialist yes probably really this question puzzles me everyone would probably add a different specialist also who is Elsa? The only name ik close to that is elesa a electric type gym leader.

As for frost breath...
Hey and welcome and yes i agree for one its 60 damage and ice beam is 90 frost breath crits which means it does 1.5x damage meaning its way over the power of ice beam so ya i guess frost breath would win but...

Really it depends on the pokemon if its an ice type frost breath if not its ice beam cause ice beam can be learned by other types while frost breath is a select few pokemon. Also sp attack is an important factor on which is to be learned. Another thing debatable is 90% accuracy for frost breath 100% for ice beam. So based on the most up to date battle mechanics its pretty much a tie if ur thinking about using either one factors to consider is sp attack if the pokemon is high in it id go with frost breath for the crits if low ice beam or if attack is higher a more physical move may be better.

All ice type moves up to the current gen which do u think is best 1 for physical and 1 for special
(Did my best with the list shouldnt be too confusing)

If I were to create my own ROM hack and put an ice-type specialist in, it likely won't be Elsa; it'll more or less be a character of my own, haha.

Thus far, I'm imagining the person to be male, with long, white white beard. His hair would also be long, which he would sometimes be pony-tailing. He'd be having a variety of ice-type Pokémon, but few of his most favorites, which we would usually see being used by him, would be Abomasnow, Walrein, Weavile, Froslass, Cloyster, Mamoswine, and Lapras.

This person would probably be an Elite Four member, since we sort of lack them in regards to this particular type. Seeing him as Gym Leader wouldn't be so bad, either!

Santa Claus.

Not Elsa unless I was actually doing a Disney game. I'd have to make my own original character. It would be a very pale girl with dark brown hair sprinkled with snow since she's in a very icy environment. I'd make her a late Gym Leader or Elite Four with Dewgong, Lapras, Weavile, Froslass, Walrein, and Glalie.

Woops my mistake on that. Didn't really read the move up before answering and was under the impression it hit for 40. My bad. XD

That'd be correct. But most people have reasons for choosing Ice Beam over Frost Breath and vice versa. It all comes down to personal preference over the different advantages and disadvantages offered by each move. For one, I personally like using Ice Beam for the guaranteed hit (i.e it won't miss unless accuracy is modified by another move) and chance to freeze. Other people would prefer sacrificing some accuracy for Frost Breath in return for guaranteed crits.

Welcome to the club btw! I've always loved the really tough-looking ice types like Mamoswine, Abomasnow, Articuno and Weavile. As for Glaceon, eh, it's alright. Has a sort of cute design but it's not something that I'd really use either. :(

Um add an ice type specialist yes probably really this question puzzles me everyone would probably add a different specialist also who is Elsa? The only name ik close to that is elesa a electric type gym leader.

Elsa's the main character from the popular Disney movie Frozen. I don't know much other than that but the movie was a huge hit with its catchy tunes, magic and all sorts of disney stuff that people have grown to love. She also has the ability to do all sorts of stuff with ice so that's probably where the inspiration for her as an ice specialist comes from. :)

As for frost breath...
Hey and welcome and yes i agree for one its 60 damage and ice beam is 90 frost breath crits which means it does 1.5x damage meaning its way over the power of ice beam so ya i guess frost breath would win but...

Not necessarily true. If Frost Breath did 1.5x damage with crits taken into account, it'd still do an equal amount of damage seeing as 60 x 1.5 = 90. But regardless, the guaranteed crit would be useful seeing as anything stacking sp. def against you is never fun. ;__;

Anyway my favourite special and psychical ice move? It's a tough choice seeing as there are a heap of different ice moves to choose from. Blizzard will probably always be one of my favourite special ice moves for the enjoyment you get out of using it while Ice Beam would be my go to choice. As for physical, probably Ice Punch or Ice Shard? Don't really know many physical ice moves other than that. XD

also at this rate, santa claus is gonna be the next most popular pokemon champ with this love <3
