Pokemon 4Ever:
** Nicely directed, lovely opening scene. Promising start!

*** VERY pretty scene with Celebi in The Lake Of Life, followed by Ash and Sam floating in air.
AWWWWWW Pikachu and Celebi sleeping shoulder-to-shoulder
*** MAN OH MAN is the scene with the Butterfree gorgeous.
*** Intense action scene, Ash using Fisticuffs is nice and it gets real
NOW things are getting real.
What a cool mech that guy has.
Celebi with dead eyes is pre creepy
I like how they say "i'm still alive" and not "We're okay"
Hey it's Suicune! But why does it's cry sound like it's coughing very loud?
*** Really good climax scene, Celebi trying to fight the possession was SUPER intense.
Holy crap Celebi SHRIVELING UP like a dying flower is creepy as hell.
*** THE CLIMAX. GOOD GOD The climax. We start off with a super-depressing scene where Celebi dies, the combination of Ash SOBBING, Sam's impassioned speech, the animation, and the heartwreching music adds up to some INTENSE feels that got me Misty-eyed. And then, when all the Celebis come down
from the sky and that incredibly lovely choral theme plays... Simply stunning, and matches or maybe EXCEEDS the first film.
But why are they so sad about Sam leaving? They only knew eachother for a day!
Woah, Sam is Professor Oak! What a twist!
Closing Thoughts:
A step down from the first three films.
The story was nowhere near as interesting. The entire plot was just about some bloke trying to capture a Celebi. Nowhere near as solid as the incredibly good stories of the first three.
But other than that, it was typical solid quality.
Sam and Ash's friendship was really cute, their bonding provided a lot of nice scenes. The animation of the movie was beautiful, and lovely as always, Celebi was cute, Team Rocket provided fun.
And the action scenes were the big highlight. Things started really picking up at the 40 minute mark and kept building, culminating in one of the most lovely, heartwrenching scenes in the anime.
Overall, a solid movie. 7.5/10.

Pokemon: Master Quest Episode 4 "Fight For The Light!"

Closing Thoughts:
Just a mediocre episode this time around.
The story was just blah. Twas hoping for a good gym battle episode. However, it turned quickly into a formulaic Team Rocket Steal Pokemon episode.
Action and humor were strong as always, but I can only give it a 6/10. Let's hope things get better with the next one.

Time for a real gym battle ep!
Pokemon Master Quest Episode 5 "Machoke, Machoke Man" (GOD WHAT A BAD PUN)
** More Wobbuffet fun
Man the gym trainer sounds a lot like Strong Bad.
** Well-done gym battle scene.
** Wobbuffet stealing all the food
** As usual, a good gym battle scene
Woah, Team Rocket DIDN'T encounter Ash or even blast off! That's unique.
* The woman referring to her husband as Bloated
Closing Thoughts:
As typical for a gym battle ep not much to say but good, with nice action scenes. Also it was a nice shift to have Team Rocket NOT get involved. 7.5/10.

Moving on
Pokemon: Master Quest Episode 6 "Around The Whirlpool"

A decent episode.
The story wasn't anything spectacular, just setting up the Whirl Cup arc
Action and humor were good as always, plus Corsola. 7/10.

PUDGEY PIDGEY ISLE is a weird name

The Pidgey in the story flew to the SUN and MOON. Foreshadowing!

A very interesting episode.
The story was very interesting, with the gang meeting a guy who has a Pidgey who wants to fly Higher than any Pidgey before. Very interesting plot, with a climax that gets first tense and then super-emotional.
Humor and action weren't really the focus, but the story was very nice. So 7.5/10.

Pokemon Master Quest Episode 10 "Mantine Overboard!"

The animation in the underwater scenes is very-well done, good atmosphere.

Decent. Not really special however.
The story was interesting, with the gang going down into the ocean to recover some buried treasure, the action scenes were solid, and humor was good. So 7/10.

Pokemon: Master Quest Episode 11 "Octillery The Outcast!"
** Good action sequence.
* Corsola's spiral eyes
** Ash's Octillery costume
This is a pretty blah character of the day ep. I thought it would be like a Whirl Cup ep!
* Good old Wobbuffet
** Nice Team Rocket action as always.
Closing Thoughts:
Very blah ep!
The episode was just another typical Character of the Week episode, which is disappointing since Bulbapedia told me it would be a Whirl Cup ep. Action and humor were fine but weh. 6/10.

Let's hope this one is better!
Pokemon Master Quest Episode 12 "Dueling Heroes"
Huh, Misty called the host of the Whirl Cup "gorgeous". Don't stop me from saying she loves Ash.
** Dazzling animation for the sea spirit scene.
Wow one background character looks like Jessie.
* Professor Oak getting whooped by Bayleef.
Aww, Pikachu has a cute jacket!
Of course we had to MISS the exciting battle
** Aww, Pikachu waving a fan
** Good action scene as always.
Wow Kingdra is inflated! Some people probably liked this scene...
** Very nice emotional scene.

Closing Thoughts:
A solid gym battle ep as always. The action scenes were nice and there were some good jokes as well. Also a nice change of pace as Team Rocket were NOT involved in the plot and didn't blast off. Good. 7.5/10.

Pokemon Master Quest Episode 13 "The Perfect Match!"
Aww Pikachu doesn't have his cute jacket anymore.
** As usual a very solid action scene with nice music in the background.
NOW Pikachu has his cute jacket back on. Yay!
** Another good action scene.
*** Some Psyduck fun.
Yikes what happened to Psyduck's eyes it momentary had no pupils.

Good gym battle ep as usual, with solid humor and action, and some nicely directed scenes. 7.5/10.

Pokemon Master Quest Episode 16 "The Mystery Is History"

Closing Thoughts:
Very good.
The story was very interesting, as Ash and the gang meet a kid who has a Lugia! It's rare for a legendary to be featured in the show, so this was fun. Unfortunately it got into a Team Rocket steal Pokemon plot but at least the motive this time (Harnessing power to create superbeam) is more interesting than "Show it to the B0ss"
The action scenes were solid as always. There was also some very good direction as well with the underwater scenes plus good choice of music.
We also had some nice jokes as well.
8/10 ep overall.

There was a wall of text here but I lost it.
Anyway Pokemon Master Quest Episode 17 "A Parent Trapped!" was very good. The story was good and kept up the high stakes set by the previous episode. The stakes set were uncharacteristically large- by the end of the ep Silver and Lugia are captured, Ash and his friends are unconscious and captured as well. There were some very good emotional scenes throughout with the kid's sadness over losing Silver, as well as one with Lugia desparately searching the ocean floor, the music added. The action scenes were generally good as always, there was also a really well-done scene with Ash and Ritchie trying to stop Lugia from creating a storm and calm it down. The animation was also very solid, especially in the underwater scenes. Not much in the way of good jokes but that wasn't really the purpose. 8/10.

Time to close out the Lugia arc!
Pokemon: Master Quest Episode 18 "A Promise Is A Promise"
Man pretty badass speech by Professor Namba. In general I love his campiness.
* Jessie's aliteration, followed by James' "Brilliant use of the letter C!"
** Meowth clawing the keyboard
Man Pikachu and Sparky are kidnapped too!
* Dr Namba's spiral eyes
Wow Ash just got a sudden burst of strength. But he should've wacked Namba on the head with the bar.
** Good action scene as a whole.
I like the conflict between the two factions of Team Rocket. Both are trying to use Lugia for their own gain!
** Butch calling James "John"
* Victreebel eating James
** A solid action scene, as per usual.
* Grunt's spiral eyes
I just realized the Silver kid has not worn a shirt this whole time
*** The entire climax! From the two separate battles between Butch/Cassidy Vs Jessie/James as well as Ash and the crew vs Namba, to Lugia's frantic destruction, to the escape from the self-destructing ship, non-stop intensity that never let up. Easily the highlight of the arc, feeling almost movie-quality!
** Plus, some funny bits with Namba and Electabuzz's spiral eyes
** And a nice emotional scene at the end.
Closing Thoughts:
Excellent episode!
The story was very good, the Lugia arc climaxing with lots of intensity, and kept me on the edge of my seat throughout.
The action scenes were top-notch, with tons of great and exciting moments throughout. The climax was borderline movie-quality.
And we also made up for the lack of humor with some great stuff. Some nice emotional scenes as well.
8.5/10.

YET AGAIN I lost a wall of text.
Anywho, Pokemon Master Quest Episode 19 "Throwing In The Noctowl" was a very good episode. The episode was about the gang taking a plane flight to the next gym, which quickly goes awry. An interesting disaster premise it drew me in very well, with nice direction for the stormy atmosphere as well. The action scenes, especially the climax, were all very nice, we also got some good emotional bits as well. And humor was very solid too. My only complaint was that Team Rocket acted too nice! Oh well at least we got more clues that they are in love. Overall, 8/10.

I saw Pokemon 20 In theaters! here is my review:
Overall, a very good movie. The story, combining elements of Season One with an all-new plot revolving around Ho-Oh, was pretty thin compared to others in the series, but the stuff with Ho-Oh was very interesting, I like when Pokemon taps into the "mythical" vibe, and it did a decent job of covering all the bases of Season One. The animation was dazzling, as per usual, most of the scenes were lovely. The action scenes were as always very solid, and very well-directed. "Verity" was pretty bland and personality-less, but I liked the other one, his voice actor did a nice job with his serious demeanor. Joke-wise it was nice too. Pikachu and Piplup's antics were very entertaining throughout, like Pikachu's dog-like behavior (scratching himself with legs, shaking fur off), and we also got some other funny bits like Ash and Delia's phone call, and Nurse Joy's casual "that's nice" after Ash beat Ho-Oh. Emotion was high too, nearly cried at the bit where the kid's Luxray dies. The anguished cries really sold it. The Pikachu vs Spearow battle didn't really compare to the original though.

And the ending scenes, Wow-wee! The entire climax scene was, as per the standard, FANTASTIC, from the stunningly animated final battle against Marshadow, (One of the most intense in the whole series) to the "i know your in there somewhere" fight with Lycanroc, and the INCREDIBLE scene where Ash "dies" which takes on a new twist from the first movie by having a really cool bit where he runs through another dimension back into the real world. Overall the stunning ending helped raise my grade.

As a whole, not up to the heights of movies 1, 2, and 3, but still very solid. 8/10.

Pokemon Master Quest Episode 20 "Nerves Of Steelix"
** Ha! It's a giant Wobbuffet. Obviously Team Rocket's work. Or maybe this town loves Wobbuffet.
Quite a creative scheme by them.
* Good action scene.
"I'm astonished you haven't come up with a new routine" says Misty. Yeah Brock's womanizing is becoming annoying.
** Very solid action scene for the gym battle. I like how Pikachu's ears are very expressive.
* Pikachu's spiral eyes
Aww look at Pikachu sitting in Brock's lap.
*** Very well-done climax to the gym battle.
Closing Thoughts:
Solid gym battle episode, but not any better than the others. As always the gym battle was very well-done and it was nice to see Cyndaquil push itself so far. Team Rocket's usual scheme was actually pretty creative and funny this time around. A Giant Wobbuffet mech is far from cliche. Overall, I give it a 7.5/10.

Pokemon Master Quest Episode 21 "Bulbasaur The Ambassador!"
Woah it's Ash's mom and she actually cares about him and not just Pikachu, who is cutely perched on his head.
Nice, Tracey's back.
** Good ol' Wobbuffet
Woah was Heracross EATING Bulbasaur.
Man that's a lot of food. Bulbsaur gonna get fat.
** Nice climax scene with them pulling out the rock.
Woah Bulbasaur DIED? He lets himself get crushed by a rock and then it smashes to black and we get a flashback with sad music.
** The flashback is also very well-done/emotional.
Nevermind, Bulbasaur Lives.
*** As a whole, the entire last five minutes were very well-done, with very nice direction and emotional heft to it.
Closing Thoughts:
A strong ending, but as a whole it was unfortunately dull.
Premise-wise the story (Bulbasaur tries solving disputes between Pokemon) was pretty dull, and didn't really intrigue me until the very end. It felt more like a filler episode.
The action was okay, but humor was flat.
Overall, 6/10. A disappointment despite a good end.

Pokemon Master Quest Episode 23 "For Ho-Oh The Bells Toll!" (these bad puns don't stop)
Wow, nice, a legendary plot. Nice to see something more high-concept.

*** Very cool story about Ho-Oh. I love it, as said before, when the more mythical aspects come to the fore.
Aww, look at Pikachu's ears going down. I love how his ears are so expressive.
Man the sleeping powder should've hit them. That way Ash and Misty would probably once again fall asleep slumped next to eachother

*** Very nice, well-directed climax sequence with Suicune.
Closing Thoughts:
A very interesting episode.
The episode was about the Crystal Bells, which signal the arrival of Ho-Oh, being stolen by Team Rocket, and this causes the wild Pokemon to rebel. A nice high concept plot, which also had some very nice animation and direction in the ending scene with Suicune.
The action scenes were also very well-done as well. Not very funny but not a problem. 8/10.

Had a wall of text, lost it.
Pokemon Master Quest Episode 24 "Extreme Pokemon" was a good episode. The premise revolved around a sort of skateboarding (Of course it was 2003) with Pokemon race, where Ash and Gary enter. The premise was interesting, and it was nice to see Ash and Gary's playful bickering, which is always fun. The action scenes in the episode were well-done as always, the climax was intense, ending with a photo finish. We also had some good laughs as well, I loved it when Pikachu was trying to skateboard to get down with the kids. Overall, 8/10.

Pokemon Master Quest Episode 27 "Dues And Don'ts"
** The enthusiastic, happy way they state how the "ups are quick and the downs are long and painful".
* Wobbuffet
** More Wobbuffet fun
* "I'm afraid you're not a people" plus Meowth's reaction
** Team Rocket's fight.
* "If that's the democratic way i'm voting Republican" Woah Meowth the Conservative
This is SUCH a funny ep so far.
** Good action scene.
* Meowth's reaction to not being part of Team Rocket.
I am a big fan of the trippy watercolor (I think?) backgrounds in some scenes.
Woah they say "We Are Number One"! Foreshadowing.

Never mind! That's a shame. Why can't Ash just evolve his Pokemon? Raichu gets No Love.

Closing Thoughts:
A very wacky, fun episode.
The premise was that Team Rocket find out they've been booted from the organization, and have to get back. The premise was kinda thin, but very fun, and was consistently entertaining.
The action scenes were solid as always but the humor was the highlight of this episode. There were lots of great jokes throughout, and in fact it could be one of the funniest of the whole show!
As a whole, a very good episode. 8/10.
