History
There exists a world supported by Earth's computers, internet connections and servers. This world, filled with creatures known as "Digimon", is known none other as the Digital World.

The Digital World was once in trouble. An evil had taken root, and tried to spread darkness over the Digital World. As a desperate attempt for help--it made contact with the outside world--and seven children, then young, were chosen. This group of children were called the "DigiDestined", and they were, you could say, destined to save the Digital World from this evil. These children possessed qualities that made them prime DigiDestined material.

However, they couldn't do it alone: each child had a special Digimon partner. Each one were essentially made for them. Together, they saved the Digital World, and in the process, Earth.

During battles in the real world, many children who witnessed them became DigiDestined in the process.

The seven children thought they would never see their beloved Digimon partners ever again, as they had to return home because the Digital Gate--which let them access the Digital World in the first place--was closing.

However, the evil returned three years later. Amazingly, Digital Gates were opening, and three new DigiDestined were discovered. Along with various DigiDestined all over the world, they obliterated the evil from the Digital World and the Real World.

Plot
Twelve years later...

Year: 2015

Since then, everyone knew of Digimon, and that they existed. An anime was made off of the DigiDestined's adventures. Trading cards, figures, and other various memorabilia and merchandise of the digital monsters have also been made.

However, the one thing--especially children--many yearned for was contact with a real live Digimon. Imagine if these creatures came to live in the real world. It would shake up everyone's life. Despite these people's hopes and dreams, no contact with the Digital World was able to be made in the past twelve years. It seems that no one else would be able to meet a live Digimon.

A company, named "Digital Connections", pledged to make a connection with the Digimon. A project, dubbed "Project Connection", was put underway. Many were rightfully skeptical of Digital Connections claims, and ignored them. Digital Connections and its claims were soon forgotten.

Two years later...

Year: 2017

Digital Connections made a breakthrough. After two years of constant research, experimentation, and testing, they announced that finally a product would be released. This product, which was actually software, when installed on your computer would open a Digital Gate to the Digital World. This software was called the "Digital World MMO". It needed testing, however, and they opened a beta testing campaign: for a very expensive price, you would be able to get a once-in-a-lifetime chance to meet your very own Digimon. They announced it as an MMO.

Digital Connections wasn't content with just a campaign: Not long after, they created a device, dubbed the Digital Categorizer, also just called the D-CAT, which primary functions were to gather and display data on Digimon, and a "secret function" that was to be discovered. They then opened a sweepstakes: eight lucky people could get the Digital Connector software and a D-CAT, for free, if they matched a random number.

This stirred up excitement in everyone. Many bought the software. Others entered in the sweepstakes. Others still were skeptical of Digital Connections' ambitious claims. These critics of Digital Connections' software just knew something was bound to go wrong.

The Digimon of the Digital World meanwhile were just fine, up until Digital Connections came into the picture. Then Digital Connections entered--and promised that what they were doing were beneficial for the Digital World. Most believed that Digital Connections were right, but like the humans of the real world, many Digimon were also critical of Digital Connections.
What if they were lying?
What if the humans ruin their world?
What if this "Digital Connections" has a plan?

Meanwhile, the Digital World MMO didn't really let you access any real parts of the Digital World (like File Island and Server Continent), but was its own little world, called the "Remote Server Island", complete with its own currency, etc. Players already there would soon get their first surprise...

In the real world, the winners have been chosen. They were expected to receive their software within three weeks.

The MMO got high ratings and instantly became popular. The Digimon fandom was booming again.

Within three weeks, a crisis developed in the Digital World:
The Exit Gate, which was seemingly the only way out of the Digital World, would not work. No matter how much someone would go through the gate, it would just return them back to the Digital World.
Many "players"--what Digital Connections secretly referred to them as--thought that Digital Connections would fix the Exit Gate. Right? Right? Right?
Apparently not, as Digital Connections seems to have noticed everything BUT the Exit Gate problem!
They quickly discovered that wasn't the case. At that time, it was discovered that there was an alternative way to leave the Digital World: By killing another "player's" Digimon. The situation quickly went downhill as many players hunted down other players to kill their Digimon. Players joined in groups and hunted down players all by their lonesome, others formed pacts with these groups, usually having to give up major assets, just so they weren't be hunted down. Others still survived by hiding and not trusting anyone.
The players in the Digital World were effectively divided up into two groups: The Hunters, and the Hunted.
Little does anyone know, Digital Connections has just set up a dangerous experiment, and many have fallen prey...

You are one of the sweepstakes winners.
Can you discover what Digital Connections is up to?
Or maybe there is another force behind it all?
How do the Digimon feel about this?
Will you band up with the other sweepstakes winners, discover the secrets of the D-CAT, and solve this mystery?
Whatever was your reason for coming to the Digital World, be it harmless or malicious, you will have to abandon it...

SCHOOL'S OUT!
And with that, your prize from the Digital Connections sweepstakes has arrived!

It has been three weeks since Digital Connections held the sweepstakes for a free copy of the Digital World MMO software and a Digital Categorizer, and whoever you are, wherever you are, it has just arrived in the mail!

The Digital World's box isn't very plain. On the front of the box, a background is made out of screenshots with a logo in the middle heavily resembling Digimon Adventure's logo saying the name of the game, "Digital World." On the bottom there's the usual rating, which is "Teen for Teens." On the back, there's blurbs like you see on a game case:

"Explore the Digital World with your very own Digimon in real time!"
"Fight other players in the Colosseum in friendly competition!"
"Meet your favorite Digimon!"

Inside the box there is a CD case, who's cover resembles the box's design. Inside that case is a CD with the same "Digital World" logo on it from before.

There's another box. This box contains the Digital Categorizer and a charger. The Digital Categorizer is made very similarly to the 3DS and if it was any more similar Digital Connections could get hit with a lawsuit.
Opening the Digital Categorizer powers it on automatically. On the top screen, there is a meter, but it is crossed out right now. There is also icons showing the battery life and a Wi-Fi signal. The bottom screen of the Digital Categorizer is completely blank.
Maybe you'll be able to do more with it in the Digital World.

It's time to step into the Digital World. Putting the CD into your computer (or laptop) brings up your every day normal installer prompts, etc. Surprisingly, there's not much to install, so it's very fast.

After the installation, a launcher appears. This launcher provides a vast amount of information. Latest game updates, latest news, latest game information, all divided by tab. Before you can go into the Digital World, though, you must create an account, with your personal information (nothing too sensitive though) and a user name. Afterwards, a popup comes up, which allows you to select your Digi...wait, no, it's a personality test? All of the reviews of the MMO said that you could pick your Digimon though?

There are but just a few questions for you to answer, some multiple choice, some open ended. Anyone who has played a certain Mystery Dungeon game will recognize these kinds of questions:

  • 1) How do you feel about Digimon? Choices: A) They're okay... B) Love 'em! C) Hate 'em.
  • 2) Do you have a good sense of humor? Choices: A) Ha ha ha ha I love jokes! B) They're good when timed properly. C) All jokes are crap, so no.
  • 3) A person is in trouble! Do you help them? Choices: A) Yes! B) It's their problem... C) Yes, but do it for a reward. D) I'd rather not, it's too scary!
  • 4) How about sports? Do you like them? Choices: A) Yep. B) No. C) Sports? What are those??? D) I'd rather watch TV...
  • 5) Your best talents? (Open-ended)
  • 6) Do you feel as if you have a purpose in life?
  • 7) Are you a boy or a girl?
After that, a few seconds later, a picture appears on screen of your Digimon partner, and a prompt appears on screen for the Digital Gate to be opened. Select yes, and a Digital Gate that looks exactly like the one from the Digimon anime will open! Grab your Digital Categorizer and its charger, and the Digital Gate will transport you to the Digital World!

Isamu Setsuo - Dracomon
Digital World

The light receded and a portal closed behind him, the sounds of a TV shutting off was clear in his ears. Reluctantly he let his eyes flicker open to the sight that the game box had promised him. Isamu could see more humans in front of him. Some of them were talking with Digimon, others were just walking by as if this was just a normal day.

He had to admit that he wasn't all that excited about the game in the beginning but now that he was actually in it, there was a certain attraction to the concept. The Digital World was suppose to be this place of adventure...of connection. Now that he really thought about it, he guessed this whole game was a way of connecting people from all around the world. And honestly, he was ecstatic about that.

Isamu held a melody in his head, the sounds of the music gently echoing into his ears. Soon afterwards the korean lyrics that he knew he didn't understand filled in the blank spots of the melody. He could only grasp a few of them and even then it wasn't enough to discern the meaning behind them. Nevertheless, that wouldn't stop him from enjoying the harmony and beauty of their music.

The tender looking teen rolled the sleeves of his alabaster sweater to his elbows, the cool air in the room was feeling too good to miss out on. He walked forwards a bit before noticing a line-up of Digimon. All of them seemed to have a searching expression in their eyes...well all but one.

A green dragon was staring at him. The reptile's red eyes gleamed with barely contained excitement. It was like some bizarre magnet was pulling him towards the Digimon. It was a MMO afterall, maybe it had been programmed into it. Isamu walked up to the mini-dragon than stopped a cautionary few steps away.

The small dragon took a step forwards and smiled, if one could even distinguish the difference. Isamu smiled back kindly before reaching out a hand towards it. "You look alot like the picture on my computer screen. Are you Dracomon?" He kindly asked.

"Yep, the one and only." Dracomon answered, his red miniature wings stiffening as he grasped hold of Isamu's hand."Victorygreymon told me humans looked weird. But I never guessed you'd have blue fur growing out of your head."

Isamu held back a chuckle. The programmers had done a awesome job with Digimon. "I was just thinking that you look a little weird too. A bit too real."

Nel Taylor - Salamon
To The Digital World!

Nel was in a rather pleasant mood as the made her way back towards the apartment where she and her family made their home. She had just came back from a rather amazing soccer game, if she said so herself. Her team managed to completely dominate the game, Nel herself scoring four of the goals herself. Her mood only seemed to increase when she noticed a package awaiting her in her room when she got home.

The package was from Digital Connections! Nel opened the package without a moment's hesitation, and quickly the girl went about installing it on her computer. After following the usual prompts one would expect to see when installing a program, Nel went about to quickly start the program... However, the last thing she expected to see was a personality test...

"Seriously...? Isn't this one of the things you see in those dumb fashion magazines or something?" Nel questioned. She stared at the screen for a moment, wondering why such a thing would need to be on a Digimon game. With a sigh and a shrug, Nel went about filling out the quiz. "Okay, whatever... Let's see here..."

1. How do you feel about Digimon? B) Love 'em!

2. Do you have a good sense of humor? A) Ha ha ha ha I love jokes!

3. A person is in trouble! Do you help them? A) Yes!

4. How about sports? Do you like them? A) Yep.

5. Your best talents? Soccer, swimming, and dancing... but don't tell anyone that last part, okay?

6. Do you feel as if you have a purpose in life? Yes.

7. Are you a boy or a girl? Girl

Once she was done entering the information she needed to, Nel smiled as she saw the program was up and ready to go. Her eyes widened a bit, as a quick image of a dog-like Digimon flashed across the screen. Taking hold of the necessary equipment, Nel eagerly entered the Digital World!

Stepping through the portal into another world was something that Nel had often read about in some book or seen in some science fiction movie or a cartoon of sorts. She never expected that she would one day get to actually do it herself. In a sense, the Digital World did not seem that different than the normal world did... well, almost. With the exception of the Digimon that were walking and talking with other humans. The Digimon themselves all looked so real. Nel almost wanted to pinch herself, just to check and make sure that this all was not a dream of some sort.

"Are you gonna stand there all day or are you gonna actually take a look around?" a small, childish, like voice called out.

Nel's eyes widened as she looked down, spotting the little puppy-like Digimon that she had seen on her computer screen after finishing that personality test. Looking at the little Digimon, a sense of familiarity flooded into Nel's mind. She knew that she had recognized this one from somewhere before.

"You're... Salamon, right?" Nel questioned.

Salamon grinned proudly, nodding her head. "Yep! That's me! And you must be Nel, right? You're a lot taller than I thought a human would be... Are you a champion or something?"

Nel giggled at the Digimon's question. It was hard to take in the fact that she was actually talking to an actual Digimon. She almost wanted to pinch herself one more time. Nel hoped that if this was some sort of dream, that she would not wake up for a long time...

Isamu Setsuo - Dracomon
Digital World

Isamu straightened back up from the handshake. The Digimon seemed entranced with him, almost as if the two were best friends automatically. It was a bit weird at first but even he had to admit it was appealing. The boy rubbed his head a bit as the two of them held an awkward stare.

He had to admit that he was feeling lost in this new world. What would he do? What would his first steps be? As he thought, he felt one of Dracomon's claws poke at his forearm; trying to grab his attention. He looked down at him, eyeing the Digimon as he pointed towards another pair.

Isamu put on a delicate smile, it was nice to know that his Digimon wasn't against making friends. The green dragon took the initiative of the both of them. Walking up to them, he let out a fang-filled grin and picked up the small Salamon. "Heya, Salamon. Is this your human? She looks a little like mines." He said enthusiastically before placing her between his crimson horns.

Isamu ran up quickly with a slightly worried expression on his face. He wasn't sure of the ethics in the Digital World but he was pretty sure it wasn't good to touch another person's Digimon. He rubbed the back of his neck slowly, an easy smile decorating his cream face. "Is that alright?" Isamu asked in a sweet tone.

Nel Taylor - Salamon
A New Friend?

Nel was rather surprised when a dragon-like creature made his way over towards her and Salamon. That surprise grew when the creature scooped up Salamon, placing her on his head. Salamon nodded in response, grinning down at Dracomon.

"Her name is Nel," Salamon replied. "And I think she looks a lot prettier than yours. See, her hair is all shiny and bright. Plus, look at her complexion. Yours looks a bit pasty compared to my human, don't ya think, Dracomon?"

Nel did not know just how to respond to that. The girl almost felt as if she was being compared to the boy who had followed the dragon-digimon. She gave both of the digital monsters a quick smile, before turning her attention to Isamu.

"Y-Yeah, yeah. No problem," Nel replied, trying to hide some of the embarrassment she felt from the comparison. "I'm Nel. Nel Taylor, and you are...?"

Isamu Setsuo - Dracomon
Digital World

Dracomon's crimson eyes were shifted up towards Salamon as she spoke. The mini-dragon was wearing a mild-smile on his jowls by the time she was done. "I don't know." He pondered, crossing his arms over his chest. "Isamu has a frail look to him. Makes ya want to protect him." He pointed out brazenly, a grin now on his face.

Isamu took another step forwards, the three pairs of eyes directed towards him making him feel nervous. For just a short moment his cheeks flushed red. He hoped that it wasn't all that visible.

"You're right Salamon! Look how bright his cheeks is." Dracomon chuckled loudly.

Isamu tightened his jaw in embarrassment, the hints of false laughter coming out. Maybe Dracomon wasn't as nice as he had thought, noted Isamu. "Well, you're green, so hah." He uttered softly.

He watched Dracomon laugh a little longer before turning his attention to the girl that had introduced herself as Nel. "Isamu Setsuo." He replied quickly, his hand extending towards her and a gentle smile on his lips. "Its good to know I'm not the only noob. Between you and me, I was feeling a bit anxious when I realize everyone already had their Digimon. This world is so foreign from the real one." He admitted.

He stood off from the girl, looking around from side to side at the other humans and digimons. They all seemed to be grouping up or at the least partnering up. Was that what they needed to do? Well, if it was then he wouldn't be the one to push it. He was far too kind to put someone on the spot like that. Isamu looked over at the girl. She looked like a tomboy to him.

Nel Taylor - Salamon
A New Friend?

"See, didn't I tell you?" Salamon replied, she then gestured over towards Nel, a rather knowledgeable smile gracing the puppy's mouth. "Now, you see my human? Nel has that nice, healthy glow! I heard that a nice tan like that is supposed to show how much healthier the human is! I bet mine is really tough!"

Nel had to stifle a giggle at Dracomon and Salamon's comments. It was more amusing listening to Isamu's comeback towards the Digimon. The girl reached forward, taking hold of Isamu's hand and gave it a firm shake.

"Yeah, it's totally great!" Nel replied to the boy's comment. "I've always wanted to go into this sort of world, ever since I was just a little kid. When the whole contest thing happened, I just had to enter... Guess I was pretty lucky now that I think about it!"

Pausing for a moment, Nel took a look around at their surroundings once more. It was still difficult for her to get over just how realistic everything about them looked. The creators of the game really went out of their way to give the Digital World that real and authentic look it had from the old series and the like.

"Doesn't this place look amazing? I don't think I've ever seen a game that looked so realistic," Nel mused.

Isamu Setsuo - Dracomon
Digital World

Dracomon basically keeled over in laughter, his arms holding his gut in place as he chuckled stupidly from Salamon's agreement. "Yea, yea! Exactly. Isamu is pale and frail! l-like a digi-fruit." He chuckled even more. He was laughing so hard that Isamu's comment had flown right over his head.

Isamu lips lifted into a crooked smile, the curving making his expression charming as he eyed the two digimon. He could hear it. "The Melody of their Souls..." he uttered to himself. It was fascinating to hear it, almost captivating. It wasn't like usual, when he could feel bits and pieces of a person's personality and sorta hear it. Theirs were really pure and stainless.

It was a nice change from the normal, he thought to himself. He turned his attention back on Nel, his light blue eyes dancing on her features as she spoke. She was right, it did look really realistic. It was like stepping through a portal to a alternate universe. Apart of him wanted to call it surreal but he knew that there was weirder stuff out there.

His eyes fell back to the digimon. For instance, the fact that he could pick on their melodies were a bit odd. Not even animals were susceptible to it. Isamu stuck his hands in his pockets and took a step away from Nel; just a small one, before speaking.

"Yea, its definitely amazing. I've never seen anything like it before. I'm blown away." He agreed with equal awe. "I wonder what the actually Digital World is like though? I'm guessing huge monsters running around trying to eat us." Jested the youth, a smiling laying on his lips as he said it.

Dracomon turned around then and looked towards Isamu, the laughter in his eyes replaced with confidence. "No worries on that part. We're here to protect you from those mindless beasts." He said, pointing a clawed finger towards himself.

Chase Asbury and
Gaomon
Day 1 - New York City

Chase walked upstairs with his backpack to his room, the only place where he could be alone. It was the last day of school, which meant three months of non-stop pleasure. That was until he caught a medium sized cardboard box out of the corner of his eye.

"It's from Digital Connections," Chase said to himself quietly as he opened the cardboard box.

Tossing the cardboard box aside, he looked at the game box. Pictures of players having adventures with their Digimon made up the background for the box. "This actually looks a lot of fun," Chase thought to himself. He put the game disc inside his laptop and went through the usual installation prompts you would expect from an installer. Then he looked that the Digital Categorizer. Opening it, it immediately powered on.

"It doesn't even come with an instruction manual. If I break it, it's their fault," he said out loud to nobody in particular. The Digital Categorizer's screens were very empty. I wonder if it's already broken, Chase wondered.

Suddenly, Chase heard footsteps outside his room. Without hestitating, he went and locked his door so nobody would come inside. Then he went back to his laptop and looked at it again, went through the rest of the installer prompts, and watched as the game launcher came up.

He saw a small box, that said "Sign Up", in the lower right corner of the launcher window. A sign up form came up when he clicked it, and he was fine with all of it, until a personality quiz came up. What the hell? he thought to himself. What's a personality quiz doing here? Whatever, what do I have to lose.

  • 1) How do you feel about Digimon? They're okay...
  • 2) Do you have a good sense of humor? Ha ha ha ha I love jokes!
  • 3) A person is in trouble! Do you help them? It's their problem...
  • 4) How about sports? Do you like them? Yep.
  • 5) Your best talents? Running track and being sarcastic a lot of the time.
  • 6) Do you feel as if you have a purpose in life? No. Of course. Everyone serves a purpose in life, besides those who don't. Who doesn't? That's for someone else to define.
  • 7) Are you a boy or a girl? Boy.

The quiz seemed very childish to Chase, and as he clicked submit, a picture of a blue dog with boxing gloves showed up. "This should be interesting. I guess he's a boxer puppy." He chuckled at his own joke, knowing if anyone else was around, they would've just ignored it. Such was what happened whenever Chase cracked a joke these days.

Chase grabbed the Digital Categorizer, and the charger to it, which he didn't notice until now. There was a big large button saying "Go to the Digital World!" and when he clicked it, a portal very similar to the ones in the Digimon cartoons rolled out in front of him. Soon enough, Chase was on his way to the Digital World.

Day 1 - Welcome Gate -- Digital World

Chase walked out of the portal that brought him to the Digital World. Wow, he marveled, for a video game, this looks realistic. He looked at many players partnering up with their Digimon, or playing with them, or just generally getting to know them.

"This must be an area for noobs," he stated the obvious out loud. "Seems like where I should be."

Ignoring the group of humans and digital monsters that consisted of a very dog-like Digimon, a dragon, a pale-faced male teenager with light blue hair, and a female teenager that was clearly a tomboy, he went over to a group of three Digimon. One had their yellow eyes fixated on Chase, studying him. This digital monster looked like the same one he saw in the photo at the end of the quiz. So Chase, of course, naturally assumed this was his Digimon, in the loosest sense of the word, of course. He went over and greeted the Digimon politely, like whenever he was meeting someone new.

"Hey, I'm Chase, and I'm assuming that you're my partner. What's your name?"

The Digimon turned around and ignored him. Chase scratched his head. "Maybe you're not my Digimon?"

This got the digital monster's attention. He turned back around, and very calmly said,

"I'm not your Digimon."

"Well, that got your attention, now didn't it?" Chase breathed a sigh of relief. "Can't you tell me your name?"

There was no response for a few seconds, and he quickly added, "I'm not going to bite. If anything, I should be worrying that you're going to bite me." He held out a hand to show that he wasn't going to do anything.

The digital monster didn't even smile, but did hold out one of his hands.

"I am Gaomon. It's nice to meet you. Maybe."

Chase smiled. "Gaomon, huh. Is there any reason why you're wearing boxing gloves on your hands?"

"It's until my claws fully grow." Gaomon said this as if Chase should have known and never asked that question in the first place.

Chase scratched his head--again. He and Gaomon's meeting was getting off on a very rocky start. He looked around at everyone else. The Digimon looked very real, as if they WERE real. It was amazing to see how much detail was put into the digital monsters.

"I think I can enjoy this, despite it being Digimon," He said out loud. Gaomon grunted.

"Do you have something against Digimon?"

"No, did I say that? Why are you taking everything I say to offense?"

Gaomon went back to ignoring Chase, not interested in answering Chase's question. Why should he trust this kid?

Chase looked around. The situation was getting very awkward, and he looked for a distraction. Then he saw the group of human and Digimon from before.

"Let's go over there, Gaomon," Chase said, and he made his way over to the group. Gaomon kept his distance from Chase but still followed him.

Isamu Setsuo - Dracomon
Digital World

Isamu cocked his head to the side, a smile once again on it as he rubbed the back of his neck. "You're going to protect me?" he asked with genuine astonishment. "But you're so small. Maybe I should be protecting you instead Dracomon." He offered.

Dracomon stomped one of his feet against the ground in defiance before pulling down his lower jowls, revealing the rows of fangs inside. "You see these," He jumbled with his mouth open. "I'll protect you with tooth and fang if I have too." He seemed to be proud of that. The green dragon placed his fist on his hips in triumph then. "You're my human now Isamu, you'll have to use to being the damsel in distressed." He told him brazenly.

Isamu chuckled a bit before crouching down to the mini-dragon's level. He could tell right away that Dracomon had been a bit caught off guard. His slanted crimson eyes had widen as he eyed him. Isamu let out two more, very short, chuckles before extending a fist towards his new partner. "I don't know about the whole damsel in distress thing but I can tell the "Melody of your Soul" is especially beautiful." He told him aloud. "Me and you are going to be great friends."

Dracomon's face turned comically cautious, his lips pouting a bit as he eyed Isamu with beady, analyzing stares. "Melody of the soul?...What's that?" He asked, his scratchy child-like voice ringing in Isamu's ears.

Isamu's lips pulled up into a charming crooked smile. It had become almost a habit when thinking about his grandfather's philosophy and by following it, his own. His balled fist came back towards his chest and he patted where his heart was twice. "Its this, Dracomon. The inside of a being's heart." Isamu closed his eyes, opening himself to the melodies around. The sound of Dracomon's personality and everyone else around him had begun swirling into a array of music. "The melody of a heart's essence..." he explained to the mini-dragon.

"Essence...?" He repeated, his eyes more awe-inspired than suspicious now. "A-Are you saying you can hear a person's heart?!" He inquired excitedly.

Isamu's eyes opened slowly as he placed his index finger to his chin. "Something like that, I guess." Was his half-hearten answer. In all honesty, he had never put too much thought into it. After he had accepted his grandfather's philosophy though, people did start to produce certain tones to him.

Dracomon had begun to make a building hum in gut, a sound that sounded like he was about to explode at any second; it caused Isamu to look down at him. "You're sooo cool!" Shouted Dracomon, louder than expected. "See Salamon, See Gaomon, my human is the coolest." The mini-dragon basically had stars in his eyes as he gazed up at Isamu.

Isamu raised back to his feet, his hand now rubbing his neck a little more firmly than before. Then suddenly he realized that Dracomon had said Gaomon. Who's Gaomon?, wondered Isamu. He looked over to his side because of a sneaking feeling, only to see another man and digimon standing there. Surprised, Isamu jolted to one foot, his hands up as a barrier and lips puckered into a perfect circle. "Ohh, when did you guys get there?"

Chase Asbury and
Gaomon
Day 1 - Digtal World

Gaomon looked up at Chase, and then looked down and crossed his arms, clearly unimpressed, "So you like to sneak up on others, huh? Just what kind of human are you?" Gaomon looked over at Dracomon. "That may be correct, Dracomon. So far, nothing this kid has done is particularly...impressive."

Chase ignored Gaomon and said something to the surprised person in front of him. "I didn't mean to creep up on you. I should've said something," he says. "My name's Chase Asbury, and I'm a noob, just like you."

At this point, Gaomon stopped standing by Chase's side, and went over to Dracomon and Salamon. "So both of you got roped into this, too," he says, ignoring Chase's "what the heck" look, and then turns to Dracomon. "Yet you seem like you're enjoying it. The humans are not to be trusted..."

"What did I do not to be trusted? Or for that matter, why do you take everything I do and say negatively?" Chase replied, though Gaomon wasn't talking to him.

"Respect and trust are earned," was Gaomon's response to that.

"Well, you haven't earned my respect and trust, but I'm acting like you have, aren't I?"

Gaomon scoffed. "Hmph. You don't have to do neither of those things. I didn't ask to be your partner."

Chase facepalmed, not understanding what Gaomon's issue was. Why did Gaomon seem to hate him? He looked around again. None of the other digimon were acting the way Gaomon was, or at least that's what he saw. He turned back to Gaomon. "I just want to be your friend..." Then he looked at Isamu, Nel, Salamon and Dracomon. All of this was happening in from of them, no less.

"Could you stop embarrassing me?"

Nel Taylor - Salamon
Gaomon McGrumpy Pants

Nel watched the display between the newest arrival to the Digital World and Gaomon. The girl would not go as far to call herself an expert on the relations between Digimon and humans, but Nel was fairly sure that this sort of interaction was not something that one would consider normal. Then again, this was her first time dealing with actual Digimon. So, the girl figured the best thing to do would be to question it.

She glanced over at Salamon, who was still resting atop Dracomon's head. "Is this sort of thing normal? I mean, don't they like, teach you how to be nice and stuff while you're at Digimon school or something?"

Salamon offered Nel a small smile, shaking her head at the rather silly sounding question. "I think that's covered in the advanced course," the Digimon responded. She glanced over in the direction of the rather grumpy sounding Gaomon. A small smirk quickly graced her lips. "I think Gaomon just got up on the wrong side of the bed and he's got his fur in a bunch. He'll probably be okay once he has his coffee."

Nel giggled at the Salamon's response, making her way over towards the boy and Gaomon. "Hey there! Um... I'm Nel, it's nice to meet ya."

Chase Asbury and
Gaomon
Day 1 - Digtal World

"I'm Chase, and it's nice to meet you too," Chase said, though standing near Nel made him feel like a tower. "And Salamon's right. You need to stop being paradox, Gaomon. I'm not going to do anything to you. Lighten up a little would ya?"

"I have no reason to "lighten up" around humans!" Gaomon said.

"Maybe we should start calling you Old Man Gaomon and get off your lawn," he said, but all jokes aside, Chase wasn't getting through to Gaomon, so why continue trying? He focused his attention on his Digital Categorizer and took it out of his pocket. "I'm one of the sweepstakes winners. I wasn't expecting to win because to be honest, Digimon isn't exactly my thing. What about you two?" he told the two teenagers.

Upon flipping the top screen of the D-Cat open, the screen wasn't blank like before. The top screen was very much the same, only now there was a meter right in the middle of the screen that was completely empty. The bottom screen, however, was much different: there were a few buttons labeled differently. He was sure they each had a purpose but for now decided against finding out what they were for, and closed the Digital Categorizer.

"What's your story?" he asked, not caring if he was prying.

Isamu Setsuo - Dracomon
Digital World

Isamu placed his foot back on the ground, a easy smile on his face from his surprise. Well, at least now they know I'm easy to surprise, he thought to himself. He turned to Dracomon as he approached his side, Salamon was still in between the space of his crimson horns.

The mini-dragon crossed his claws over his chest and shook his head slowly before letting out three tsking noise. "You've got it all wrong Gaomon," He said casually. "Humans are meant to be friends, just like we're meant to help them." Dracomon nudged Isamu's leg with a narrow elbow then. "Isamu is really frail and obviously scares easily. So its safe to say that he'll need me in the Digital World to protect him. He's like a sickly Demi-veemon. You and your human are probably compatible too, you just gots to work at it." While he was speaking Dracomon lifted a pointed claw up to Salamon's side and softly started to tickle her. "Do you get it?" He asked Gaomon.

"Dracomon, I really wish you'd stop saying that." Isamu whispered softly. It was a bit embarrassing to repeatedly be called 'easily breakable'. Even if it was true, it wasn't like he needed a constant reminder. He turned towards Nel and Chase as she introduced herself to him. His clear eyes were lingering on the interaction until he could introduce himself as well.

"I'm Isamu and that's Dracmon..." He muttered, pointing to the green digimon tickling Nel's. "I think he's intent on me being a damsel." He threw in just for conversation. "It seems some Digimon are programmed to give you a hard time. Nel's lucky, Salamon seems really nice to be around and her Melody isn't too loud either." He chuckled halfhearted, though a genuine smirk had laid on his lips. "My dad entered the sweepstakes and gave it too me. At first I didn't really care but after coming here, I think I might keep it."
