Pokemon Weather

Pokemon Weather is pretty much about a kid, disgusted about moving away from home While boarding a cruiser liner, he/she, depending on what character you choose, meets up with the daughter of professor, Maple Pinark. She persuades you into picking one of out three new pokemon, only if you dedicated your time to exploring the region and conducting research of frequently appearing new speices of pokemon.

With your new found interest in training and catching pokemon, thanks to receiving your first pokemon ever, you'll now explore two vast regions, capture new species of pokemon, earn badges, participate in scheduled events(Racing, Fishing, etc.), and many more. You've heard the saying, "Where there's good, there's evil," and that's absolutely correct because while trying to capture, research, and become a skilled trainer, a sinister organization of lowlife citizens named Teo Neo will try to beat you at what Pokemon Trainers do best and that's capturing and raising pokemon. To do that, Team Neo has created a sweet substance derived from berries and other chemicals and when given to ANY pokemon, their fighting abilities are maxed out beyond abnormal. Oh..., this is serious business, so it's your job to scrap their plans and make sure that this illegal substance doesn't leave Neogen Corps!

Heroes of the Game
-Rein Age: 13 Birthday: July
Brief Description: Calm, cool, and collective.


-Reinee Age: 13 Birthday: May
Brief Description: Cocky, smart, competitive


*NOTE: We don't have the final layouts for towns because don't know how the tiling will work on the engine we're using. I only have one town semi done and the rest of maps are still in outline stages.

-Starter town: Pinark Town
Brief Description: The cruise liner arrives in this town. The Professor lives here, but being the guy he is, he's never at his own lab.


-Route 179: West of it LEads to ORan Town.
Brief Description: One of your trainer battles happen on this route. Other things happen but I won't say.


-2nd Town: Oran Town
Brief Description: This is the second town. You meet a shading character who will help out here and throughtout your travels. You also receive an important item in this town as well


-Route 180: Simple route leading to Oran Forest
Brief Description: This route leads to the large ORan Forest. Oran Forest is so large that protective that it supports a village within in. Once again, not a big route, just a simple passby.


-Iron Cavern: Leads to Surgeolt City
Brief Description: This cave provides the pokemon you need to put up a challenge against the next gym leader. If you explore this cave deeply enough, you'll see how useful it is.

The region is amazing!... but the mapping isn't as good. The beach to grass transition could be better and the houses in the third in-game screen are weird. O_o You can also add some details to make the maps stand out more.

Other than that, I hope this game becomes successful! :)

What engine you using metamew?
Also, is this part of the weather generation you done awhile back? Is there still 2 different versions?

Looks like you'll need to map out a lot of maps... Well good luck.

He's making it with the PO engine to come. MMORPG, chat, client-side and server-side events, and possible trades between games (Since it's all online based, data of Pokrmon from one game should be able to go to another, but we need confirmation from DC first)

Honestly, I'm not all that impressed.

1) Region map looks awesome, as do the trainer sprites

but

2) The sand looks off color. Too many pinkish hues, methinks. Unless, of course, this is like a twilight type of day. Whereas it's a passable effect.
3) No comment
4) Something about the trees looks off-color (too dark maybe?)
5) wtf is up with the iron cavern? It's just grey splotches sourrounding white splotches with an occasional colored splotch. Is this just something going on with the engine, or will that actually be a map in the game???

Yea, this is the same old Pokemon Weather. Remember now, some of the tiles you see *are not finished* or even started. For example, look at Iron Cavern. We outline our maps first. Anyway, thanks for comments and I agree that we need to seriously edit some maps.

How many are there in the game development team (staff)? Your maps are a bit empty (must be cos of g8 in EDINBURGH!! LOL)...

BTW, it's best off just to 'go with the flow' i find. Once you've got the general Idea, make up as much stuff as you can and just see where it can take you.

What do the green,blue,and red mean in Region Map

Ok, I wanna help with the mapping... Where can I download PO map maker/editor? Cuz I am sre as hell not going to divide the map in squares manualy...

The map editor isn't out at the current time. At this point, using the grid is the best way to outline maps.
