Fake Pokemon cards versus real Pokemon cards ? what are some differences?

There can be some very obvious differences between real Pokemon cards and fake ones; and you could look for:

? Spelling mistakes or missing symbols or color differences or symbols that looks smudgy or faded.
? Size differences between fake and real cards.
? Blue borders are faded or not evenly spaced or not glossy or poorly cut.
? The holofoil is missing on Mega or Ex or Gx cards or different from real cards.
? If lots of light can pass through your English Pokemon cards when you shine a flashlight with a small beam onto it then it may be fake. Please note that Japanese Pokemon cards are different from English cards because light can pass through them. This light test doesn?t work as well on fake reverse holo cards because the holofoil stops the light from going through so you need to look for other signs.

Please look at the attached pictures for more information.

A: The real Pidove is on the Right side; and the fake Pidove is on the Left side. The real one has lighter colors on the front of the card versus the darker colors on the fake one. The back side of the real card has dark blue borders that are evenly spaced and the Pokemon logo is yellowish versus fake cards that have faded blue borders that are unevenly spaced and the Pokemon logo is orangey and the card is poorly cut. The fake card is slightly smaller than the real one.

B: The fake reverse holo Gabite is missing a symbol in the text and the spacing of the words is wrong without spacing after punctuation. The fake card is slightly smaller than the real one.

C: The fake Rayquaza Ex is missing the holofoil. The reverse side of this card has faded blue borders that are unevenly spaced and the Pokemon logo is orangey. The fake card is slightly smaller than the real one.

Hope this helps.
