Lucas McGuire - Forest

'Well, I'm sorry Kanto doesn't have orange pigs wearing thongs! OiiiOiiiOii!!' Aipom cheered out at Jasmine. 'And please! That flame is nothing - check this out!'. Aipom's tail forms into a fist and gathers a blue aura around it. Aipom jumps towards one of the trees with the Pineco in it and uses a full-powered Focus Punch sending a powerful vibration throughout the whole tree knocking all of the Pineco out of the tree.

Heracross hatched a plan. 'Yuri! Get all of your friends to attack these trees with their best moves! These Pineco will fall and explode!'. Lucas looked at Heracross shouting at the Lillipup, but wondered what was going on. 'Aipom, Heracross, what's going on?' Heracross pointed to the tree where the Pineco were spotted. 'Ahh! More of them! And they are in all the trees in this forest! There must be thousands of them!'.

Cecil Vargas:in the forest

Cecil and Haunter reached the forest and stood at the edge of it, astonished by the large trees and almost infinite darkness at this time of day. "Good thing I brought a flashlight," Cecil said with relief. Haunter was going to explode with exitement because of the spooky scenery the forest gave in the dark. They headed into the silent wilderness of the forest hoping to find a worthy adventure.

The forest was thick and not a single ray of sun penetrated the leafy barrier above Cecil and Haunter, the only noises were the chirpings and clickings of the bug pokemon that nested there in the forest habitat. "It's awful quiet here, I don't think anybody's even out here...we must be...alone," Cecil worried aloud. Haunter tried to comfort Cecil by letting him know he(Haunter) is still with Cecil.

Cecil sat down and leaned back against a tree.Trying to calm himself down, Cecil began to take deep breaths. Slowly he began to drift off and forget he wasn't in the dorms, but in the forest, sleeping. Haunter, not minding this, began to listen to the almost low hums of the big pokemon and rest alongside Cecil.

Drake

Drake paused, waiting. Something seemed about to happen. Maybe now would be the best time to fly, but... He had a responsibility. If some trouble started he would have to end it. So he had to stay and watch, because no one seemed to listen. Oh well, not to worry.

(Joint post between myself and Siidams)

Kiki VS Shawn, 3v3

Kiki smiled and nodded, putting both balls back on her belt. Yeah... Healing might be helpful. Birdy and Cynder were fainted, and Mouser and Squirrely were hurt. She grabbed his hand and used her other one to point at the building.

"Let's go!" she cried, tugging him towards the center.

Shawn nods, walking with her to the pokemon center. He sets his pokeballs on the counter, smiling as he waits for them to get healed. He looks at Kiki, who was very excited about the battle. Shawn, though, wasn't so sure.

Kiki grinned. She was so happy to battle her very best friend. As soon as his pokeballs were taken and returned, she thrust her own into the nurse's hands. After she got hers back she smiled and tossed a ball randomly into the air and caught it, her eyes shining happily.

"Alright! Let's go outside and battle!" she said happily.

He nodded and walked outside, standing a few feet away. Shawn faces Kiki, with a pokeball in hand. "This will be my first trainer battle." he said to her, a little nervousness in his voice. "I hope I can give you a good time."

Kiki grinned and held her pokeball out at Shawn. Utterly unbidden, a memory floated into her mind, and she blurted out her old greeting back in the past.

"Ace Trainer Kitty, ready for battle!" she said, grinning, then she paused. "Er... Actually... I'm not really an Ace Trainer... I haven't really battled in over a year..." she mumbled, "Not since... Never mind, go, pokemon!"

with that she hurled the pokeball and revealed Mouser, who squeeked weakly.

Ace trainer? Shawn was very nervous, hoping he would do good enough to keep up with her. A Ratatta came out, looking scared. It seemed to be as nervous as he was. "Let's go, Sting!" he called, throwing the pokeball out. The Drapion stretched and flexed its pincers, ready for the fight.

Kiki grinned at the big bug thing, then looked down at Mouser. It occured to her he didn't know very good moves. Oh well. Let's see... Bite was no good.

"I'll start! Hyper Fang!" she cried, picking Rattata's signature move. Mouser squeeked and darted forward, his fangs blowing as he snapped them down, trying to hit the drapion

The Rattata's fangs bite down on Sting's armored arm. Shawn pondered his first move. Since Mouser was right next to him, Sting was within range.

"Sting, show him what a bite feels like. Fire Fang attack!" he calls out. Flames cover Sting's fangs as he aims right at Mouser, hoping to inflict a burn.

Kiki growled angrily as Mouser squeeked, the burning bite hitting him just as bad. He bounced back, his eyes fluttering as he cringed.

"Mouser! Quick Attack! Mouser! Mouser?" Kiki said, groaning and stamping her foot as she saw Mouser. He must have flinched, a side effect of Fire Fang. Fortunately he did not appear burned

Shawn saw that Mouser was a little shaken from its attack. It seemed to...flinch. Shawn was smiling a little more, getting more confident. "Sting, use this opportunity to use your Acupressure attack, " he called to his partner.

Sting responded with a nod and straightened his back. He moved his pincers behind him and clamped down on his back. As he did this, his muscles got stronger, feeling his strength increase. He locked eyes with Mouser, daring it to attack again.

Kiki seemed to pause and look at Mouser, then she smiled. It was such a goofy, silly smile that Mouser even perked up and squeeked happily, her tail swaying back and forth.

"Mouser! Tail Whip!" she said, and Mouser swayed his tail faster, hopefully lowering Sting's defenses a bit.

Tail Whip caused Sting to lower his guard a little, but still kept his eyes locked on the little fuzzball. Since Mouser would keep its distance, Shawn decided to try his luck.

"Sting," he called out, "use your Poison Sting."

Sting nodded and opened its pincers, revealing tiny purple-tinted darts. Sting took aim at the little mouse pokemon and roared as the needles shot out at his opponent. If nothing else, maybe the needles would hurt bad enough for the Rattata to come closer. Maybe the poison will take effect, too.

Kiki smirked at this and assumed a pose, her hand up in the air as the needles flew at Mouser, who creeched loudly. Really? He was going to panic because of a few large needles tipped with deadly venom? Why on earth would he be frightened of that?

"Mouser! Hit him with Quick Attack!" Kiki shouted happily, as if she were the happiest person in the world. Mouser looked like he was deading this, and even as the needles hit him on the top of his head, he began glowing with energy, breaking out into a swift dash, right at Sting, faster than the eyes could follow.

If either Shawn or Sting were surprised by Mouser's sudden attack, they didn't show it. Sting felt the impact, but shrugged it off, still full of energy. Fortunately, the mouse was still close to Sting, so another attack would land.

"Sting, time for Thunder Fang!" he called to his partner. Sting lunged forward, teeth bared and glowing a pale yellow. With a chance of flinching and paralyzing, this move may make or break the battle.

Mouser squeeked his defiance as the drapion bit him, his fur bristling. But in the end, the attack proved too much, and he fainted. Kiki stomped her foot and returned the mouse. She grabbed Birdy's ball and hurled it, revealing the tiny bird.

"Birdy! Double Team!" she cried, and Birdy obliged, making many copies of himself, chattering at Sting, happy to battle!

Sting tried to keep its eyes on the original Birdy, but soon lost sight of it in the Double Team. He shook his head to concentrate, but couldn't tell which one was the real Birdy. Shawn didn't know how to counter that move, but he would not give up.

"Sting, use your Poison Sting, but fan the attack out as much as you can."

Sting nodded, opening its pincers again, revealing the poisoned needles. Starting at the ones in the center, he shot out the needles at each pokemon he saw, hoping to at least hit the real one.was

Birdy chirped loudly as he soared overhead, the needles grazing his wing as he turned. The poison didn't seem to have any effect, which was good. Birdy chirped and smirked at Sting.

"Wing Attack!" Kiki said happily, crossing her arms. Birdy looped and soared down at Sting, his wings glowing as he sped toward Sting.

Sting braced for impact, but it was to no avail. Shawn saw the impact and shook his head as Sting slumped over. Oh, well. He fought very well. Shawn returned Sting to his pokeball and thought about who to use next. He flung out his next teammate.

"Get ready," he yelled, full of anticipation. "Come out to play, Shiva!"

Shiva, his new Shellder, came out and wagged its tongue, ready for a fight.

"Let's start with your icicle spear." Shiva concentrated, creating three icicles out of seemingly nothing. With a wave of her tongue, she shot them at the flying pokemon.

Birdy chirped happily. He wasn't afraid of the ice attack! He soared over the spears and circled over head, more images flying out, Double Team raising his evasion, as Kiki cried out for him to use her favorite move.

"Double Team Birdy!" she shouted. Birdy chirped loudly and he and the echoes kept circling. Shiva and Shawn better do something about this, or they might never even hit Birdy again!

Shawn racked his brain trying to find a way to counteract the double team move she used. No moves Shiva could do would stop Birdy from evading its attacks. Unless...

"Let's try...Supersonic!" he said, hoping it would work. Shiva channeled energy from within and burst forth with a stream of sound at the ring of enemies, sustaining it as long as she can. He hoped to hit Birdy enough to confuse it. After all, what else could he do?

For all his evasion, Birdy seemed to have terrible luck. He looked down out of distraction and flew int a low branch. With an annoyed chirp he shook his head and took off, his flying a little more unfocused. Kiki KNEW he was confused.

"Hm... Quick Attack!" she cried. Birdy chirped and circled around and soared down at him, chirping happily, loving the battle.

Shawn smiled, seeking that Birds had been slowed down a little. Shiva's shell prevented some damage and was still fresh in the game. Now was their chance.

"Shiva, try another Icicle Spear!" he called out. Shiva, knowing that confusion was successful, summoned up a volley of four spears, firing them out as rapidly as she could.

Kiki shook her head angrily, but Birdy, despite all expectations dodged three of them! Of course, the fourth one hit him in the wing and he lost some altitude. He squawked angrily and flapped his wings wildly to get some height, glowing brightly. Kiki grinned. He was evolving! Soon, he was replaced by a Staraptor, and he circled up high again. But... While he was stronger and had more endurance, evolving didn't make him any less hurt, nor did it remove confusion. Kiki knew this, but she didn't care.

"Birdy! You are so big and strong now! Get him! Use Wing Attack!" she cried. Birdy chirped fiercely and blasted down, his wings glowing white, ready for another pass with a battle cry of "Staravia!"

Shawn was stunned, seeing Birdy evolve that quickly. He saw the attack, and saw Shiva was worried. No matter, he thought. I know how to stop this.

"Shiva, use Protect!", he cried, seeing the bird barreling down on his Shellder. Shiva nodded and closed her shell, concentrating to create an invisible barrier before the foe hit her.

Birdy chirped happily as he slammed into the shield and flew off. What a strange bird... Did he enjoy hard, tough fights? But one thing was bad, he was still confused! Still, Kiki had no items, so all she could do was cry out her commands.

"Birdy! Double Team!" she shouted. Birdy chirped and went to use the move, but he seemed to suddenly forget how to fly for an instant. He squawked and screeched, tumbling down and landing painfully on the ground, her wings flapping weakly. He leapt up, trying to get airborne once more.

Shawn saw his chance. He can finish Birdy off with one, maybe two, moves. Shawn smiled, hoping this will play out right.

"Shiva, Tackle attack, now!", he called out to his partner. Shiva turned her back to Birdy and concentrated, using a blast of cold wind to blast her body at Birdy.

Birdy screeched loudly as he was clipped, hitting the ground again. He shook his head before resuming his confident smirk. Confusion had worn off! Finally. He flapped his wings and took off, flying very low to the ground, catching an updraft and circling higher, about waist height when Kiki cried out the following words. "Double Team!"

With that Birdy created more echoes, which flew in every direction.

Shawn shook his head. Once again, Birdy had been getting faster. Well, no use in waiting...

"Shiva, use Withdraw." Shiva nodded, retreating into her shell. As she closes up, her shell seems to get harder and glossier.

Kiki giggled at the pokemon, utterly enjoying herself.

"Time for the ultra mondo super climactic finishing attack! With extra awesomeness! Birdy! Hit with QuickAttack!" Kiki shouted. Birdy chirped and dived, glowing with normal energy, powering through theair at Shiva as hard as he could.

"Shiva, Protect." Shiva again concentrated and put up the invisible barrier, ready to intercept Birdy's Quick Attack. Shawn anticipated that Kiki would attack again. He also knew what to follow up with...he just had to be sure to get in closer to use it.

Kiki grinned as Birdy bounced off. She was very wary of Shawn. He looked confident, like he was planning smething. But Kiki was incredibly curious. She was curious what he had planned. So instead of mixing it up, she decided to just attack again.

"Birdy! Wing Attack!" she cried, laughing happily. She was ready. Ready to see what this rookie had planned. Nothing made her happier than having a good friend as a battle partner.

Shawn was ready for more. Birdy came at them, but he had one more trick.

"Shiva..." he hesitated, waiting for Birdy to be in range, "Supersonic!"

Shiva, seeing the opponent right in front of her, sent out another ring of sound energy at the rushing bird. Shiva would take the hit, but have very little left afterward. The move seemed to be a last-ditch effort on their part, but it would probably be too close to avoid it.

And... That was pretty much what she had expected. Oh well. Birdy ignored the sound, his eyes screwing up again as he hit Shiva, flapping his wings weakly and soaring back up. He was not going to last long, but he might have enough to finish this assuming he was lucky and did not crash or something. But Kiki had already planned for that. She eached down and put her hand on her ball, thinking about which one to use.

"Birdy! Hit her with Quick Attack!" she called, and Birdy soared down, heading right for Shiva.
progress.gif

Shawn breathed a sigh of relief as he saw that Birdy was confused again. He didn't celebrate, however, as he saw the bird attack again. At least Shiva could still use one defensive move...

"Shiva, Protect yourself." Shiva summoned yet another invisible barrier to negate the attack. Shawn knew what to do after that, but he again had to wait...

"Birdy! Keep attacking! Don't let up for a minute!" Kiki cried, a sudden switch in her usual planning. Normally she let Birdy get some distance to evade any and all attacks, like she had been doing, but not now! Birdy chirped as he hit the shield and swooped down, swinging his wing with Wing Attack. Kiki knew he was wide open, but hopefully she would do enough damage to severely weaken or even knock out Shiva.

"Tackle attack!" Shawn called out, hoping Shiva had enough fight to finish the job on Birdy.

Shiva turned her back on the Starly, using cold winds to propel her at the opponent. Shawn was watching eagerly, hoping it'd be enough to finish the job.

Kiki scowled as Birdy and Shiva collided. Birdy landed and collapsed n a heap of feathers, his eyes closed. Surely he had fainted. Kiki called him back and grabbed her third pokeball.

"Squirrely!" she shouted, revealing the pachirisu, who chattered softly.

Shawn smiled, knowing that she'd bring Squirrely out. Well, might as well have some fun before Shiva gets KOed.

"Supersonic attack, now!" he called out. Weak, but certainly not out, Shiva fires a ring of soundwaves at Squirrely.

Squirrely gave a yeah right look and blasted a Shock Wave at Shiva without even waiting for orders.

"Pachi!" she said in an unamused voice, flicking her tail, her ears flattening as the Super Sonic hit her. She flicked her tail and crossed her arms.

"Um... Good job?" Kiki said, utterly baffled. She hadn't even gotten to utter a command yet!

At least it hit before Shiva was zapped...Shiva collapsed, completely wiped out. Shawn returned her to the pokeball and pulled out his next.

"Time to play, Cactuar!" Shawn yelled out, watching his Cacnea face the electric-type. Cactuar seemed scared, but ready to go.

"Squirrely! Use Spark!" Kiki shouted. Squirrely decided instead to stomp her foot and look away. She focused on Cactaur and gestured at him, telling him he could have a free shot.

Shawn noticed that her pokemon didn't seem to want to obey. It allowed Cacnea to have a free shot...is it taunting them? No matter.

"Let's go, Cactuar. Leech Seed, now!" he called. Cactuar nodded, firing out seeds at the squirrel, looking to land them on Pachirisu.

Squirrely flicked her tail and dodged the attack.

"Pachi pachi!" she said mockingly, tossing a pebble at Cactaur, smirking at him. Kiki pressed her hand to her face. This was ridiculous! Squirrely was being a brat!

"SQUIRRELY!" Kiki shouted, pouting and stomping her foot. This was not fair!
Cactuar avoided the pebble and stood, glaring at the opponent. He was ready for another.

"Keep using your Leech Seed. It'll hit sooner or later."

Cactuar nodded, firing out more seeds at the other pokemon. This seemed unusual, but interesting.

The Leech Seed took effect, but was charging at Cactuar. Shawn waited until within range.

"Poison Sting attack, now." he called out. The cactus pokemon grew a poison-filled needle from the top of its head. As Squirrely came real close, he fired the needle, looking to poison it, as well.

Squirrely powered through the weak attack, seeming unfazed, still sparking at Cacaur. This was so annoying, why wouldn't she listen to Kiki! Pachirisu's were very good at distance fighting, so why didn't Squirrely trust her to know what was best?

"Sand-Attack!" Shawn called. As Cactuar rolled back onto its feet, seemingly unaffected by the electric attack, he threw out a bunch of sand and dirt at the pokemon. He felt the healthy effects of the Leech Seed and stood ready.

Squirrely shook her head, growling as she was hit by the sand. This was terrible! At this rate Leech Seed would finish her before she could finish Cactaur!

"SHOCK WAVE!!" Kiki shouted, nearly in tears. Squirrely flicked her tail and fired the bast though.

Cactuar was hit, but shook it off quickly. After all, electric attacks did little against grass types. Sawn was ready to end this.

"Cactuar, use your Absorb attack now," he yelled to his teammate. It concentrated its efforts and started to drain Squirrely's energy.

Squirrely groaned weakly an collapsed, panting and iki wordlessly returned her. She was done with this battle. She walked over to Shawn, her face expressionless.

"I haven't lost a battle in a long time." she said softly, then she hugged Shawn tightly. "Thanks for the battle! I had fun! But next time I'M gonna win, got it?"

Shawn saw Kiki return her pokemon, wordlessly declaring him the winner. She also gave him a hug. Shawn quickly returned the hug, gently kissing her cheek. "I had fun. Thank you."

Kiki's eyes widened and she pulled away, blushing deeply. She said nothing, though it was clear she was effected by it. She smiled shyly, perhaps for the first time in her life, a shyness coming over her. She quickly brushed it off and resumed her usual hyper manner.

"So, wanna go get our friends?"

Shawn was blushing some as he returned Cactuar to his pokeball. He composed himself and turned to Kiki, smiling. "Sure. Let's go find them." He almost forgot, but he had to go somewhere where there were lots of rocks to find his next pokemon partner. But, for now, he was happy to be near her. He was ready to follow her.

Kiki nodded and grabbed his hand, giggling. "Um... Which way?" she asked hesitantly, blushing deeply. He head was still spinning.

Shawn held her hand gently, smiling greater than before. He looked back towards the academy. "Last I remember, they were at my dorm room. Let's go that way and see if they're still there."

Gently tugging her arm to get her attention, they start towards the Academy to search for their friends. He hoped they were ok.

Kiki modded and smiled, walking next to him. She let Cynder out and set the cyndaquil on her head, the mouse squeeking softly. Something would seem different about her demeanor, but it would be very difficult to tell what.

"Oh! Let's go and check your room! That is where they were!" she said in agreement with Shqawn.

Haru had a pleasant conversation with Lance, but he eventually had to go. "It's been nice talking guy." He shook hands with the boy and walked off. He didn't look back, but he knew that Lance was sad to have such AMAZING company leave him. Hehe. What a cool guy. Haru laughed insanely to himself, appearing to be a mad man. He decided that he needed to find the academy's library. He wanted to see if they had the next installment of his favorite book series: The Lord of the Balls: The Fellowship of the Ball. He was interested to see what happened to Brodo and Cam. They had to take the one ball to Mt. Foom. I can't wait. After he got there, he immediately began searching the fantasy section for his tales of old.

Valorie Ryder - Mountains —> Infirmary
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Valorie just sort of stared off into space in Mana's general direction, seemingly oblivious to the world around her. However, after Mark said something Valorie seemed to snap out of her daze and just sort of turn her head to look at—Oh, hi Kiyoko. Valorie jumped slightly in her seat as Kiyoko managed to startled her, proceeding to stare at him for a moment before it rationalized in her head that he had stopped hiding and gained a frustrated expression. W-What had just... /happened/ to her? She didn't quite understand. She remember what she'd done, and yet it hadn't felt natural at all. She also didn't understand why nobody had commented. She had just admitted she was /wrong/, and /cried/ in front of people. Why was the world not collapsing around her like in her nightmares?

She glanced down at Mark and just sort of met his eyes for a moment, that same frustrated expression on her face. She then averted them towards Drake. "...I'm going to the infirmary..." she said in a half-hearted tone before urging Dragonite to move. The large pokemon did so, this time at a more leisurely pace. What? /Someone/ had to start taking responsibility for the situation! Else, they'd just be sitting there waiting for someone to make a move forever!

She reached up and gently shifted Kiyoko into her lap as they took off, wrapping her arms around him in something resembling an extremely loose hug as if for comfort as they flew, the wind blowing her hair back behind her. Soon enough they'd reach the academy, at which point Valorie was forced to slide off because let's face it; Dragonite was too big for the hallways.

"You look like you could use a little help there..." a disembodied, ghostly voice that both Valorie and Kiyoko seemed to be able to hear said. Valorie stumbled as she landed and just sort of looked around, rather confused. On cue, a golden mask in the shape of a human's face rose out of the ground and planted itself directly on Valorie's face. She clutched at the mask briefly with one hand, but soon lost the will as it possessed her body. Dangit, Shu!

Valorie seemed to get up without effort and... begin walking in an oddly stiff manner, almost as if she weren't actually walking but floating just off the foor...

She was.

"So, you're new, huh?" The voice asked. Little to no people were in the hall, and while they did turn to stare at the way Valorie was walking and the mask resembling a forlorn face on her head, none seemed to hear the voice. Meanwhile, Valorie's arms still cuddled Kiyoko to her abdomen. "Name's Shu; I live in Valorie's Shadow." the male voice continued. "Now, I know what's on your mind—The answer is yes. Stealing the body of a teenage girl is /very/ awkward." he continued, completely missing the much more obvious question of what he thought he was doing with her. This would soon become relatively apparent however as Valorie 'walked' herself right into the infirmary. She hovered above a chair and the mask came off, causing her to promptly drop into the chair like a puppet cut from it's strings. She seemed slightly disorientated from the trip—But hey. She was there! ...No doubt with Mana, Drake, and whoever else refused to leave her be hot on her tail.

A rather concerned nurse was looking at Valorie, trying to decide whether she needed help or not. It was only a matter of seconds before she inevitably just asked the disorientated student, but Drake was free to come on in and take control of the situation in that time anyway.

Olivia Wolf - Icy Plains
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Olivia looked around. Nemo clearly did not want this egg. Judging by what Olivia saw, Nemo had some sort of grudge or another against the species. She was tempted to ask, but the presence of others prevented her. Hei offered to take the egg, and before she knew it that boy from before was telling the teacher off in front of... Cynthia? Oh /hi/ Cynthia! Want to compare hair sizes?~ Hair competitions aside, Olivia just sort of waited around looking slightly lost. Where did the boy even get that egg anyway, and why was he giving it out to people? ...He seemed kind of picky, but it didn't discourage Olivia! "I'll take it!" she offered casually, in an optimistic tone. Yes, give it to the silly one that will /probably/ put a bow in it's hair and call it Sally. Olivia had absorbed some other info though, and glanced over her shoulder briefly to look at the setting sun. Hm! It was really getting late now. A rumor that the icy plains could quite literally freeze your tears before they left your face at night came to mind and she become... ever so slightly concerned. Perhaps it was understandable, considering she didn't much have a death wish. Unless she was with Nemo when it happened. La mort separation~

"It's almost dark out... Maybe we should head back to the academy." Olivia said in a slightly worried note. Well, she wasn't /completely/ air headed! She knew better than to wave her derriere in death's face. That was reserved for Nemo! Duh. As Olivia looked off at the setting sun she turned and searched for Nemo's hand, because she just couldn't pass the moment up to try and make the sunset just a bit more romantic. "...Or if we're going to do something, we should finish up fast. What were we out here for again?" she asked, apparently curious. Hei would doubtlessly find Olivia's actions rather worrying. She had apparently wandered into the icy plains without even knowing why she was there. "I hear there's going to be a big thanksgiving dinner for all the students and staff!" she added in thoughtfully. Thanksgiving Farfetch'D, anyone? She silently reserved the question of where Nemo was from for a bit later, perhaps once they'd gotten moving.

...A group of Snorunt was still present in the area, looking up at the bunch with their little eyes.

Cecil Vargas:in the forest;encountering scyther

Cecil was awoken to an eerie noise that sounded like something was cutting through air. Suddenly, the sound grew louder and louder until the noise sounded right behind Cecil, a loud cry of an enraged pokemon blared in Cecil and Haunter's ears,"Sssscythhheeeerrr," the pokemon screamed.Cecil leaped up onto his feet, startled by the ambush of the mutant bug. "Aaaaaaahh," Cecil screamed,"w-hat on earth is that?!"

Cecil rubbed his sleepy eyes to clear his vision only to just barely evade a deadly x-scissor attack used by the enemy scyther. Cecil had no choice but to engage in combat with the angry pokémon if he felt like living, but it was so dark, that it was gonna be one heck of a nightmare in this battling environment. "Haunter," Cecil began to prompt his partner,"use your hypnosis attack, quickly!" the ghost pokemon focused on the scyther, but it was hard to keep up with Scyther's speed as well as its incredible accuracy. Haunter's eyes then began to glow with a multi-colored aura, attempting to hypnotise scyther to sleep. Scyther however, swifly evaded the psychic attack and struck haunter with U-turn, slicing Haunter and slamming him against a tree. "Haunter,"Cecil yelled,"c'mon get up we gotta win this," Cecil's encouragements brought Haunter back on his, well not necessarily his feet, but his....well anyways he got back into the ring for round two.

"Haunter launch a Shadow Ball attack on Scyther" Haunter began to grumble a little, trying to form a ball of dark energy. Haunter slowly rose his arms launched his attack with much force. Scyther tried to dodge Haunter's Shadow Ball by merging to his right only to have his left wing hit by the dark energy. Attempting to regain altitude, Haunter is also tiring from the energy put into his attack. Time for round three.

Lucia Francisco Bernavard

Lucia just frowned as it seemed Mark was getting nowhere. Val really seemed out of it, but who knew, maybe this was what she was like the whole time? It seemed that the others who were here weren't really that concerned for her... well, yeah they were concerned but it was more of a 'oh, hey, she's injured' kind of thing. She didn't seem to pay that much attention to Mark, and from what he had told her they should have been best friends. Apparently she really did hate losing. Wow. To go ahead and just diss a friend because you just lost to him? That was even a low that Lucia would never stoop to. She just sighed as Mark tried speaking to Val and yet she flew off. Did she say anything about accepting his apology? Nope. She didn't even look like she cared. Yeah, that was the things a best friend would do.

The others were being invited to ride with another boy on his own Salamance who immediately clashed with Damascus. With Damascus being the guardian that he was he of course roared on back at the other dragon and stomped a foot rather loudly. "Easy Damascus." Eric said as he continued to stroke his dragon. Dragons were prideful creatures after all... or at least Damascus was anyway.

Lucia frowned at the turn of events. "Uh... Mark... we should give her some space." She said softly to him. Mark had to take a break from this girl! Sheesh, she could tell earlier that Mark was great friends with her, but she supposed it was only because this girl could easily wipe the floor with him and assert her dominance over him. Now that he was the dominant one, she couldn't do that. It would do him some good to at least be with other friends that didn't treat him like c**p! He did say he had other friends so she would help him get his mind off of her. "We can head back on Damascus to Oak Town you know." She said softly, "Just see the stores around there..." She really wanted to take his mind off what had just happened and had the look of a concerned friend who just wanted to help.

Gwen Deallus.

Location: Raikou dormitories.

Gwen's emerald eyes scanned the vacant room in front of her. This was the common room of the Raikou dormitories, and Gwen had expected at least one person to be here, if not more.
Slightly more relaxed Gwen continued into the room, glancing down at the small scrap of paper on which she had hastily scrawled the information the receptionist had given her.
The note read 'Raikou dormitories, room 9.' Below this was the instructions that Gwen had followed to get here. Stuffing the note unceremoniously into her pocket, she walked around the room, checking the doors until she found 'room 9'
Spoiler:

Eager to see more of the academy, she quickly unpacked her bag in her room.
The majority of her items were thrown carelessly on her bed, however her diary was placed on the bedside table.

Whilst Gwen was busy unpacking, Amber sniffed around the room with intrigue. There was a bed, a wardrobe, a small bathroom and a bedside table. Nothing too fancy, but more than enough for comfort. The walls were a dull white color, and had nothing adorning them.

Gwen pinned a single photograph to the wall, it was a photo that she had taken with her mother and father the day before she had left. Smiling at the photo briefly, Gwen decided that she would have to take many more whilst she was at the academy.

Gwen, followed closely by her small companion Amber, left the dormitories and headed back the way they had come.
The first plan of action was to find the cafeteria. It was true that they had both eaten during the ship journey, but the available food was rather vapid.
After getting slightly lost and somehow ending up outside, she asked the receptionist for directions again, and managed to find the cafeteria without difficulty.

There were a few people in the cafeteria, but Gwen chose an unoccupied table by the wall, and watched the others around her while they ate.
Gwen tried to guess whether each person was a trainer, a teacher or something entirely different. A group of people sat at one of the tables were all wearing lab coats. Two of these people were debating what sounded like regional migration in pokemon species. Gwen listened to their conversation for several minutes, until she realized that she had been neglecting her lunch.

Once both Gwen and Amber had finished a far more satisfactory lunch, and sat for a while afterwards, Gwen decided that she would take a walk into Oak Town. She knew it was only around 30 minutes walk from the Academy, although she had never walked it herself.
She wanted to buy several things in the town, including a map of the island and a digital camera. She also planned on visiting the icy regions of the island, so it would be sensible to look for a weather resistant coat at the same time.

All in all, Gwen decided that the trip shouldn't take more than 2 hours, which would give her plenty of time to get back to the academy before too late. After relaying this information to the Poochyena next to her, they set off towards Oak Town, leaving the Academy through the main gate.

All of a sudden, Valorie looked frustrated... she looked happy at first but... all of a sudden she had this.. look on her face. Mark took noticed that she was stareing at the girl near Killik almost dreamily. Something was off... he didn't notice it at first since he had just got there and all but it seemed so sudden. She didn't even accept the apology or make any mention of it. Val just... left again. She was heading to the infermary. Mark was beginning to question if this was all worth it anymore... he just needed to give Valorie some space, as Mark said before. But darn it at least he tried and showed that he cared for Valorie by searching for her in the mountains. If that wasn't enough...

"..."

He didn't really pay much mind to the Killik or Mana. He was lost in thought. Lucia suggested going back to Oak Town. Seemed like a proper idea. He was pretty depressed.

"...Yeah... lets go." Mark said blunty as he got back on Damascus. Today just wasn't his day. Able nearly tried to kill him, Valorie's behavior... what's next? His parents popping up and embarrassing Mark? That would just be the breaking point...

"...TM store. I have a few moves to teach my Pokemon...sorry for wasting your time Lucia..." Mark said, with an obvious depressed tone. He seriously felt like crying at this point. Who could blame him? He was still young after all.

Cecil Vargas:in the forest;battleing Scyther

Scyther regained altitude and quickly preformed a double team to evade Haunter's next move.Six copies of Scyther hovered around Haunter. However, Haunter felt very confident in himself and knew deep down he could win even if the battle was six against one. "Haunter, use shadow claw and strike the one on the far left," Cecil commanded. Haunter quickly glided over to Scyther and slashed him with claws glowing with a deep black aura. The pokemon, however, was only a copy! This surprised Cecil, because Cecil never really battled at all. He only has minor skills because of the media. You know, the good ol' pokemon tournaments you see on TV all the time. Resuming the battle, Cecil stared at the copies to see if he could spot the real one,"They all seem to mirror each other in every way," Cecil said astonishingly. It was about three minuts before all five of the Scythers began to form x-shapes wirh their blades.Cecil knew what was going to happen and tried to warn Haunter, "Haunter! You gotta move you cant possibly dodge that!"

Haunter didn't listen. Instead, Haunter looked directly at one of the Scythers. It had appeard to seem that Haunter finally identified the real Scyther. The Scyther's blades were glowing as they lunged at Haunter. This was it, Cecil was going to lose."No Haunter," Cecil yelled. His only hope was to run.But he couldn't possibly leave his best friend behind. But then, at the last minute, Cecil did not see this, but Haunter struck Scyther with another Shadow ball, and it made all the other clones vanish. "H-H-Haunter...how d-did you," Cecil asked amazed at Haunter's victory. Scyther was lying in the dirt in pain from the impact he took from the ghost pokemon. Cecil looked over at it and then looked back at Haunter,"Well Haunter, we can't let him suffer like this all alone, he'll be eaten alive, or just die of starvation in this situation....I think we gotta," Cecil paused,"We need to take him in as our own.Who knows, he just might turn out being a new good friend and worthy partner."

Haunter looked down and thougjt this out for a moment, then gave Cecil a big grin and nodded his head in agreement. "Okay then Haunter," Cecil says as he pulls out his only pokeball(a great ball) that he was given before he left for the island and looked at it. "Here goes nothing," Cecil said as he lightly tossed the capturing device at the scyther only a couple feet in the darkness away from him. The ball opened, releasing a flash of red light that transferred the pokemon into the pokeball. "Well i hope he accepts the offer," Cecil wondered aloud. Haunter was watching intently as the ball rocked back and forth almost like it was hypnotizing you. The ball then stopped moving and Scyther were to rest until taken to the Pokemon Center."Yes," Cecil shouted with joy,"I caught my first pokemon!" Cecil then turned to walk toward the forest exit. "Now how about heading to Oak Town and getting healed up," Cecil asked. Haunter spun around in joy at the idea."okay,"Cecil replied,"oh...and I think there's a Thanksgiving dinner calling us in the cafeteria, so were gonna head towards that afterwards."

Lucia Francisco Bernavard

Mark just sorta... stood there. He didn't look happy, far from it in fact. He was rather blunt with his words and got back onto the Salamance's back. Eric really wasn't sure what to say, it wasn't his matter to begin with after all so he just hopped onto Damascus' upper back once more. Lucia just smiled weakly at the others that were still there and got onto the dragon's back also right behind Mark. Eric patted Damascus' shoulder and the dragon took off... though not before roaring at that other Salamance one last time.

"...TM store. I have a few moves to teach my Pokemon...sorry for wasting your time Lucia..." Mark muttered as they flew. Damascus luckily was flying slow enough so that they were still going fast, but not fast enough so that their words were drowned out from the speed. "Hey... Mark, it's not your fault." She said. She glanced over at Eric and made a motion with head toward Mark. Eric nodded, "So, Mark, Lucia told me that you were having some trouble with a Ninjask of yours? I have a Ninjask myself, I could show you some pointers in how to control it." He replied. "Trust me, with the right stuff you can get that Ninjask to always obey your orders."

Lucia hopped that the change in the conversation could get Mark to calm down a bit, and take his mind off of what had happened if only for just a little while.

Cries for Attention

Part One

Hey, what the heck? Was that allowed? Hey Marin, Shu is godmodding! SOMEONE HACKED Kiyoko watched the mask for its short appearance and listened to its... Confusing words. "What...? Why? Um... I'm Kiyoko... Who are you?" Kiyoko looked around, still clearly confused by whatever it is that just happened. That mask was-- No, it wasn't the mask... It was something /holding/ a mask. But Why? "Why do you have that mask? What's it for?" Kiyoko shrunk back into his hiding place (the scarf) as the nurse neared Valorie. He still intended to speak to this... Ghost? Is that what it is?

Mark was pretty dazed, mostly thinking about the entire day in general.Eric eventually spoke up though and menioned getting Able to obey Mark better. Lucia did say that he had a Ninjask if his own before so this would be good... especially for what he had planned for Able. He wasn't sure if he was really in the mood for training but Eric wasn't going to be here forever. He had to get closer to Able if his team was ever going to come together. He already had some ideas. It was the whole point of going to the TM store. It was time to make some bigger changes to the team.

"...Sure. Sounds good." Mark said. He seemed more serious this time. He had to vent his emotions out on something. The boy seriously needed a hug.

"Val seemed so different now... I kind of looked up to her. To see her be like this... I'm not so sure anymore..." Mark said, sighing.

Ryan Newson

It had been quite a while since Ryan had been at the school. He stood at the gates of the school and looked around.
Ryan had previously worked in the school as the 'Pokémon Legend Studies' teacher. However, after delivering his first lesson, a Nocturne had arrived at his window with dreadful news. A storm had hit the Orange Islands and had severely damaged his home island, Pummelo Island. This had made Ryan quickly drop everything and get out his poor Charizard to once again make the long, non-stop journey to Pummelo Island. After arriving there he found that his house had been undamaged by the storm.
After finding out about the storm, Ryan then wondered what had caused the storm. Perhaps Lugia was acting up again? Ryan had gone around looking for evidence and became hugely excited! Whilst Ryan's Charizard was resting up in preparation for the long fly back to 'Pokémon Trainer Academy', Ryan was looking around to see what had caused the storm. In doing so he had only discovered a large feather that may have belonged to Lugia. After not finding a great deal for several hours, Ryan then went back to his family and then told them about his first day at the PTA. After this, Ryan's mother offered to lend Ryan her Ninjask and let Charizard rest. Then when Ninjask was back to full strength it would fly back to Pummelo Island. Ryan had then agreed to this and hurriedly flew back to the PTA.
Ryan was now back at the school. Even after the one day that he had been there Ryan had memorised the layout of the school. So he walked over to the staff's buildings. He got to his bed and lay down for a while. Taking the entire day into toll.

Indigo Wave - Close to the Shore -> Oak Town

Indigo noted that it was beginning to get late when he stepped off one of the last boats of the day. He couldn't believe it had taken so long to find the boat in the first place, it was almost like the boat was avoiding him. Sweeping aside that ridiculous notion, Indigo looked down at a copy of the map Bright had given him of the Island. Indigo still wondered where his big brother had managed to get such a detailed map. Maybe Bright had been here? Probably not, Bright had only left Unova to take on the league in Hoenn. There was the chance, of course, that Bright could have /lied/ about where he was going, but somehow, Indigo highly doubted that. Confirming the nearest place was Oak town and was a short walk away, Indigo set off walking.

"Wow, what is that...?" Indigo questioned aloud to himself. There went another strange Pokémon he'd never seen before. Perhaps that was the best thing about coming here. Lots of new things to experience. Of course, that's only what Indigo thought. He was sure other people could think of far better reasons to be here than sight-seeing. After all, it was a school.

Andrew "Andy" Rede

Andy was getting tired of sitting still for so long. When he let out a sigh of boredom, he sat up and noticed that Catches had actually fallen asleep on the bed. Acting quickly, Andy retrieved the Tyrogue's pokéball and returned the pokémon inside it's confines, looking to Alex. "Alright dude, wanna go find the others?"

Lucia Francisco Bernavard

Lucia sighed as Mark just continued to toil about. He was more than mad she was sure. "You know what Mark? You need an ice cream sundae! It always cheers me up! And cookies too!" She said happily. "We can pick one up while we're there, my treat." She said. Eric smirked, "Yeah, shouldn't be too long to get there." He said. "But anyway, Mark, how have you been training your Ninjask? Don't leave anything out."

Lucia glanced down at the passing landscape. She would do whatever she could to get Mark out of this depression! She was a good friend after all and this was what friends did!

Mark gave a small smile but kind of frowned again. That was where he was originally going to go with Val. Well... that plan kind of went down the drain... but Mark supposed he may as well. He was happy that Lucia was doing her best to cheer him up. It made him a bit happier. Eric asked about how he trained his Ninjask and that got him into thinking... training? Mark recalled how he trained his other three Pokemon.

Len belonged to his mother so they already had a strong bond to begin with since Mark knew Len ever since he was a little boy. Commodore belonged to his dad so it was trained before as well... Snype was different though. It took some unique methods to bond with him. Just simply spending time with him. Mark was beginning to question if he knew how to properly train a Pokemon at all!

"Well... I caught her kind of recently and we've gone through a few battles. I've spent a bit of time with her out of battles. The only times she gets really angry is when we start losing or when she dosn't like a command I've used. I guess its a lack of trust between us which is weird. My Gligar, Kara, seems alright with me though..." Mark said.

Lucia Francisco Bernavard

Damascus grunted as he landed near Oak Town and Lucia and Eric disembarked, waiting for Mark to do so as well before Eric recalled Damascus. "Well, let me ask you... are you dominant with your Ninjask? I know for a fact that Ninjask are very prideful creatures. They are one of the fastest pokemon alive and they take pride in that. To order around a Ninjask you need to be very assertive. You can't be like 'oh sorry' or 'please don't do that'. Deal in absolutes. Lay down the law and such. For now though, could you take her out? I want to see how you deal with her normally, don't change anything for me, just talk to her how you normally would then I want to do a mock battle with you. Here's the thing, we both will know that this battle isn't real or that we are doing it competitively, but she won't. I want to see what happens when she takes a beating and she does start losing. We'll in a way stage it, okay?" He asked. "Now, call her out and then after a while I'll get out Adrian."

Lucia walked over and sat on the grass, calling out Roberto who stood rooted next to her, silent like always.

Cecil Vargas:At Oak Town

Cecil arrived in Oak Town to get to the town's local Pokemon Center. The building was white on all the walls and topped with a red roof. It sorta resembled a pokeball because of its colors. the automatic sliding doors opened and Cecil walked into the Pokemon Center. It was a pretty large room with a desk where a lady stood behind a counter. She stood next to this device that Cecil figured was used to heal pokemon stored within their pokeballs."Good evening young man and welcome to the Pokemon Center," she greeted Cecil smiling.

"G-good evening ma'am,"Cecil replied,"um....could you....please take these pokemon?"

"Why of course," the nurse said in a cheerful manner,"oh, I see your Haunter is out of its pokeball,"the nurse noted,"Don't worry though,"she continued,"we have rooms for pokemon without a pokeball."

"That...would be...great,"Cecil answered trying to smile.

"Okay," the nurse giggled,"your pokemon will be fighting fit in no time!" the nurse walked away and Cecil told Haunter to follow her into the room next to the counter. Haunter ran along to through door. Cecil decided to take a seat where everyone else waited and looked down at his feet. There weren't very many people in the center at the moment,so Cecil felt pretty comfortable. It was going to take ten or fifteen minutes until his pokemon's wounds would be healed.

Mark hopped off of Damascus and listened to Eric's questions. Mark wasn't really one to act dominant over his Pokemon. He kind of liked giving them a bit of freedom, Snype especially. He gave Able that pleasure but when they were in battles she just got extremely competitive... but Mark still took his battles seriously. Able just hated losing in general. Eric suggested doing a Mock battle to learn how Mark usually dealt with Able.

"I'm not sure how she'll handle losing. She just battled earlier today and had a big temper tantrum. She nearly attacked me, even though I tried to be a bit more forceful. I dunno what she'll think if I throw her into another battle..." Mark said. Eric was the expert here though so it was worth a shot. He had to make a better bond with Able somehow. He grabbed onto Able's Pokeball, unsure if he should let her out or not but decided to do it anyways.

Able popped out of the Pokeball, looking around curiously and giving off a sharp glare toward Mark. He had an appologetic look on him but he couldn't bring himelf to say sorry. She was the one that went out of line after all!
