Emerald hack: Pokemon League of Legends

It's a pretty interesting game but riddled with bugs. There is a huge issue with unable to progress through the storyline at the Aatrox line. The caves are located in Demacia underneath the castle, Freljord right about the castle, Route 6 to the left of Piltover, Under the mountain in Noxus, underneath the waterfall in Ionia and to the left as you first enter Shurima. Talking to ezreal has him tell you about the incantation and visiting the cave says that there are 6 circles in the door but does nothing. May want to fix this for any future players.

Firstl, I'm glad that you found the game interesting.

Regarding the 'bug' you mentioned. It is in fact not bugged, well I guess the only bug is that I did not completely inform the player on what he/she must do.

One of the things you have to do is to receive the coins from Ezreal in the Noxus Casino. The whole event is based off of the Aatrox event from old lore and in it he finds some coins.

I wrongly assumed that players would find him easily while in Noxus and so did not effectively communicate that to the player. I now know a lot of people probably entered the building and left immediately after seeing it's just a game corner which they probably did not want to play.

So yeah sorry about that, it's nice to hear you've gotten that far into the game though. You mentioned 'riddled with bugs'. Are there any other bugs you would like to inform me of?

Hey, I have a question.
I love Rom Hacks and have no problems with fakemons, but I have never played League of Legends. Is this a problem ? Will I miss out on a lot of things?
The game looks very interesting, I would like to try it out. Is it very confusing for someone who never played the original?

No problem, that's a very valid concern.

The game was actually designed to appeal to those that have never played League and also those that have never played Pokemon.

You should not miss out on a lot of things since I am aware a lot of the playerbase will not have played League and therefore the game is made to feel predominantly like a Pokemon game. There will be some jokes and memes you may not understand but it shouldn't detract from the overall feel of the game. The biggest concern I've had from non League players is having to learn the typings and moves for the fakemon but there's the excel chart if you find that too tedious.

Fisherman Fizz: Hidden item in the northwest of route 19, then use it on Fizz to evolve him.

Jax: Trade Sion for him in the Institute of War.

It's with big enthusiasm that I downloaded this game and started playing it. Sadly, my enthusiasm quickly evaporated sooner than I could imagine.
- The scripting is pretty bad, particularly how the charcters stay as still as a statue when talking in a scene??? Scenes need to be more lively...
- Attacks lack life too, they have no life at all as there is no attack animations...
- Finally, I have seen many hacks with bad mapping, but this... it's not only bad, it's horrible...

EDIT: On the bright side, the job done with ASM hacking was pretty nice! It's very sad that a skilled ASM hacker can't carry a noob scripter, AFK characters and a troll mapper alone!

Oh wow I can't believe I didn't see this sooner! Sorry for the late reply.

How far are you in the game? Generally mapping and scripting gets better as you progress, some characters move later on.

If you're basing the horrible mapping on the tutorial maps, I 100% agree that they are another level of bad, they were actually the first maps I did and weren't tweaked. Again like scripting it gets better as you progress.

Regarding the animations, yeah I would have liked them too but when I started off(which is when I had the most time to work on my hack) I didn't know anything about move animations and then when I learned more it became a too tedious task to make particles for the 500+ moves. I just didn't have the time for that basing it on the fact that the overworlds took me a month to do by themselves.

So yeah you can probably tell I'm not an artist and thanks for the ASM comment! I would urge you to continue playing further into the game as it does get MUCH better but that's up to you.

You could use existing animations where possible. (Shadow ball can be Morgana's bind/Veigar's ult etc)

That's what I had in mind originally but then it got to the point where if I couldn't make them unique, I wouldn't make them at all.

A few do look similar, say Nami ult and surf, but the existing ones dont fit for every move and it would feel odd only having animations for some moves and not others.

Personally, I prefer a "filler" animation than no animation at all. Fizz's R for example can't use any anination since there is no animation with a shark, but Hydro Pump wud have been better as a fille rather than having no animation at all.Fights feel so dead.

I suggest that Singed setup in a possible next actualization.

Change the passive ability Stench to Speed Boost as the first ability (matches your current passive skill in LoL) and Poison Point as the second ability.

Fling: from POISON type to DARK type (your poison trail make this job and dark type match better with this move style)
[also have a Dark-type move introduced in Generation IV named Fling]

Mega Adhesive: from POISON type to GROUND type (it makes sense for the flying type not to be affected by this)

Skin/Type Sugestions:
Riot Squad Singed [POISON/DARK]

You have 3 options - Go east to Ionia, go west back to the Shadow Isles or go to the Freljord to deal with their problems again.

Not from me, sorry!

I don't intend to work on this hack at all in the future, that's why I'm hardly here. Especially since the interest has declined and no one would care about any updates anyway. If there's a dramatic increase in demand then I might consider it but atm I have other things in my life to work on.

If you would like more skins/content/whatever you or anyone else can mod the game and implement these things yourselves.

Today marks the 1 year anniversary of this hack's release!

I just want to say thank you to each and every one of you for supporting this hack which has reached almost 500k views here and over 109k downloads.

It has come to my attention that there are several websites which have reuploaded the game (espeically sites that aren't in english) and I'd advise you to not download anything related to this hack from anywhere but this page on PC or my subreddit. The authenticity of what you're downloading can't be guaranteed and it may not be the latest version.

As you may know, I am not currently working on updating this hack anymore but if you are interested in improving the game then by all means go ahead, I would love to see it live on.

So I hope you've enjoyed this hack (does anyone even play this anymore?) and for those that haven't tried it yet, I hope you have fun.

Hmm. So it looks like nothing ever done before and is unique. I might have to give it a go.

I certainly enjoyed it. Aside from the champion sprites and lackluster move pools for some champs that makes them much harder to use than others in game, it's still a really good hack.

It got a little frustrating with attacks that did status effects and stat buffs/debuffs, since you made it to be faithful to League and had the effects apply 100% of the time; I can't count how many times I saw the speed drop animation and text throughout the game haha. I did enjoy the story mostly, particularly the Lux and Ezreal parts.

So it looks like this game has finally reached 500,000 views on here! I honestly did not expect it to be nearly as high and I appreciate everyone that has been here and made it possible.

With that being said, I have decided that I will no longer be active on PC either as a poster or a lurker as I'm not working on anything Pokemon related and this hack is barely getting any attention.

I'm just very surprised why not a lot of people play this game, it's so fun. The sprites are meh, but the game is so well made, there's so much of a difference, I originally thought it was like dragon ball Pokémon so I never played it because same storyline, but this game is so different it has it's original story sorta, not much of a story and more side stories, but pretty good. I found out this game for awhile but didn't play it because I thought it was like dragon ball Pokémon same story with just champion, but I was so wrong and glad. Good game, beats a lot of hacks for sure, not best hack, still very confused on which champion stronger than which, but fun game nonetheless. This hack is so underrated. I'm still in the middle of the game with badge 4, but still fun. There should be a Pokémon league of legends two, the sprites are meh, but it's still pretty good.
