I dislike ads they just make the browsing more laggier than before and some ads are so notoriously blocks the view on the site your browsing or jam you with pop-ups and I really hate youtube ads when the bar is yellow you have to see ads and needs re-fresh multiple times, good thing I have adblock for youtube (I wish we just skip to the real thing). I have adblock on chrome, firefox and opera so bye-bye ads.

I'm not usually that bothered about adverts on websites, if they're actually useful. Sites like PC which use googleads or whatever it's called I'm cool with because it's a legitimate advert that I may one day click on.
Sites like Tumblr who have BRITISH MOM LOST 15 KG IN 4 WEEKS all over it get adblocked so hard their great grandchildren still can't sit down without a cushion.

I been stumbled by anti-ad blocker scripts on the net when browsing certain sites that requires adblock to be disable at anti-adblockers, but good thing I have Hide my adblocker extension to conceal and block at will

I block javascript unless the source is whitelisted, don't have flash installed, and use a browser that comes with an add-on called spyblock (it's kinda like ghostery). This seems to catch just about anything an adblocker should, and still allows webmasters who use basic banner ads to make money off me. I've tried tons of solutions to the problem, and this seems to be the most comfortable one.

re: ridiculous ads
I won't name it, but there used to be a website I went on that was meant for people to upload their writing. The content was split about 50/10/40 "normal" fiction, fanfiction, and erotica. The stories could be tagged by target reader age, and anything tagged adult would get pornographic ads on it... really pornographic ads. Problem was, the adult stories could be accessed just by including the adult tag in your search, or even if the site screwed up and recommended the user an adult story on the sidebar. The content wasn't segregated, so just clicking the wrong link could land anyone there. And they even throw up a "please remove adblock to continue using this site" barrier if you do block ads. :(

I live on the edge, as in adblock free. I don't go anywhere suspicious so I don't really need to block ads. And if anything, I have that McDonalds Cafe whateverit'scalled site advisor that lets me know, I hope, when I am about to stumble upon a dangerous site.

Nope. Adblock removes them damn things.
