Was browsing TV Tokyo online and they've got an early preview.

Click the top left video - it shows previous clips and part of the battle. Seems like they want to promote Tapu Koko and Ash.

It seems this battle is way better than the first, small one as expected. I think that Iron Tail at the end will definitely hit Tapu Koko but still. I can't wait!

This is TV Tokyo's YouTube trailer. It's exactly the same as the one I posted above.

Spoiler:

After SM018 aired, a different preview aired.

Spoiler:

In addition, Abareru-kun hosted a third preview, with a bit more footage including Rockruff vs Mudbray:

Ooh so Ash's Rockruff confirmed to know Stone Edge... that's a strong move to have this early on.

That's Rock Throw. They spent SM015 training it.

That's odd. The animation definitely doesn't look like Rock Throw at all.

It's similar to Torterra's Stone Edge.

But in SM015 the they used the word iwaotoshi, which is Rock Drop (Rock Throw), using this animation for it.

That's true. When I first saw it, I remembered the Diamond/Pearl Stone Edge animation and Gliscor. It would be very strong if Rockruff had that kind of move from the beggining

Yeah. It's interesting that they changed the animation from DP's Stone Edge to the one we had in XY (blue rocks protruding from the ground).

I actually saw the episode after the break for ads, did I miss something before? Also what an awesome battle, Pikachu seems very stronger than its first battle with Tapu Koko.

Not much. Started episode midway through battle with Japanese celebrity, pretty even between Rockruff and Mudbray, then Rockruff wins with Z-move.

After being applauded by friends, Ash goes to Sophocles house, eats some malasadas, then does some training with Sophocles while not caring for nerd talk. Breaks equipment, but they feel ready to take on Tapu Koko.

Good episode. Tapu Koko is methodological in execution. But please, stop having Ash jump off stuff to save his Pokemon, it ruins the impact when he's just going to be saved because the anime needs to continue.

EDIT: I rewatched the episode as something felt off to me and I couldn't put my finger on it. Figured it out, it's a that the battle was underwhelming after being hyped up. Tapu Koko just feels a strong Pokémon, not Legendary.

Didn't enjoy a second viewing, suffice to say.

Throughout this episode, I was expecting a structure that's going on in this series (Ash completes an island's trial, Kahuna, and Land Spirit before moving on to the next island), so I expected Ash to win his battle against Tapu Koko. That didn't happen, so I guess they're saving his victory on the very last episode of the series.

Nah, i don't expect to see Ash winning it, maybe getting real close, but not winning. But this is just my opinion though, anything could happen
