So do you remember those nice slot machines and prize corner for a elemental moves, a dratini and some other pokemons there. It was good times until some law happened and thinking pokemon game have gambling. Are you happy/sad that there is no more game corner hence in lets go its totally just empty ghost town.

Honestly, I never really bothered with the slot machine minigames or anything so it's no big deal for me. I used to just buy coins! The best thing about Game Corners for me was being able to use the coins to purchase those excellent prizes. That's all I missed.

Tbh, removing gaming corners completely was the right move. Kanto's Game Corner was definitely gambling, even if you just buy the coins. I enjoyed the Hoenn Game Corner best, though, since it had another game other than the slot machines. Saving up for Porygon or Dratini in the original games (and the remakes), though, was a lot of fun, but I've never been able to earn 9999 coins for it.

If Game Corners do ever return, just bring back the Voltorb Flip game or make the game corner un-bettable, since you really shouldn't be allowed to gamble in a children's game. I honestly don't know how Nintendo got away with it for four generations.

I hated Voltorb Flip. :c If they replaced Slot Machines with like... anything else other than the frustration of Voltorb Flip, I'd be ok.

This could also be because I sucked at Voltorb Flip too orz...

^ You just gotta git gud at Voltorb Flip. Once I figured out the strategy to playing, I absolutely loved it. Haven't played it in a bit, but I know I've got well over 10,000 coins just from playing it.

One thing that I think would be a fantastic replacement for the old game corners would to have an arcade. Make it so that you can buy coins to play mini-games, and depending on how well you do, you get tickets, which you can then exchange for your typical prizes. It almost seems like too simple of a fix, that I'm surprised they didn't try it in ORAS (an arcade would've fit New Mauville nicely, IMO).

Voltorb Flip was super fun, I love those kinds of games; I found it much more enjoyable than the slots that you didn't really play. I'd be okay with them bringing back a "Game Corner" if it had a fun, more interactive and thoughtful minigame such as Voltorb Flip, or arcade games as suggested above.

I didn't like Voltorb Flip and was awful at it, so naturally I didn't like it haha. The worst part was being unable to buy coins in HGSS. :s Otherwise I don't miss the existence of Game Corners since I never actually played those slot machines, they gave way too little coins most of the time to make it worth it. I prefer getting the good rewards (usually TMs and such) via other means, like Battle Tower-like area points or by exploring areas.

I tried those games & failed pretty bad. So I would just spam buy the coins until I had enough for what i wanted

I have never missed the slot machines, but have fulfilled their purpose in the first generations. I've always saved enough coins together for the best prices. I think Porygon and HyperBeam were the most important ones for me.

I didn't really enjoy anything in the game corner honestly - the games were hella repetitive and luck based. I guess that's how real casinos work too but point is it wasn't a fun mechanic. I do like the idea of winning rare prizes but I'd rather do that in some kind of battling tournament, like the one in BW2 (can't remember the name, but the one Clay runs)

It was usually a one time stop for me. I would play for a while when I first visited the city, then typically I'm finished.

I didn't really bother with the slot machines themselves, although I did appreciate how you could exchange money for coins and use them to get TMs like Flamethrower and Thunderbolt. I did that pretty often in the Gen 3 and 4 games where it was possible to do so.

I used to have fun with the slot machines more than anything. I think I got the 9999 coins for Porygon that way, the guy went to the box anyway, though.

Also, fuck Voltorb Flip

Yeah, I'd take the Slot Machines over Voltorb Flip any day of the week. Also annoys me that in HGSS you were no longer able to exchange money for coins like you were in previous games, would've been great to be able to get a Dratini early in the game without having to play the Voltorb Flip for hours on end (or trading an egg from another Gen 4 save file, which not everyone will be able to do)
