We started in Kanto, the region in which
The Pikachu mice and the Magikarp fish
Roamed freely all day, and the captured old creatures
Had fire-like, grass-like, and water-like features.
We captured the badges, be them Boulder or Thunder,
We won some battles; others we blunder.
We talked to old Oak, who wasn't a tree;
He gave us a choice of the Pokemon three.
A Bulbasaur, a grassy dino-ish thing,
With vines to strangle and powder to fling,
A Charmander, sort of a fire-type one
With fire on tail, many battles we won.
A Squirtle, a turtle with a fluffy tail,
In sunglasses, bubbly moves did prevail
Oh Kanto, oh Kanto, we cannot forget
how Pokemon started and how far it went.
From common, cute Bulbasaur to elusive Mew,
Pokemon Battles we did, and still do.
Oh Kanto, oh Kanto, We thank you so much.
This classical region has the magic touch.
The first little region, Kanto, Red and Green,
Took the world by storm and became the King.
So Kanto, we thank you, each of us, each one,
Because you made Pokemon #1!

Yep, Zero's back.

A few of the words and phrases used in this are rather unusual.
But I have to admit, the rhyming style of poetry never gets old.

Side note: I think only the Squirtle Squad had sunglasses.

Beautiful. Just Beautiful. *gets up and starts clapping* BRAVO GOOD SIR! BRAVO!

Seriously, that just about made me want to hug all Pokemon ever (well maybe not Grimer or Sandslash. I wouldn't want to get too friendly with a Kabutops either :P). You made me feel a wonderous nostalgia that only a few things can. I actually have a list, and I'm writing you in it:

1. Chiptune song of Azalea Town while simply walking through.

2. The new National Park theme in Heart Gold.

3. That Poem! ^_^

4. My stuffed Charmander Doll, who I lost when I was in trouble in the 3rd grade (long story) :( That Charmander was my only friend when nobody else was...

5. My first Pokemon card: Cubone.

You really are an amazing artist TJgamer. I'm glad to have a friend like you!

With all regards,

-ChrisTom

We started in Kanto, the region in which
The Pikachu mice and the Magikarp fish
Roamed freely all day, and the captured old creatures
I love the use of enjambment here, with the first line carrying on with the next. Well done!

We talked to old Oak, who wasn't a tree;
That line really made me giggle...

A Bulbasaur, a grassy dino-ish thing,
This line seems odd because, the use of the word 'dino-ish' doesn't go well with the rest of the poem
as it doesn't fit in with the other language. Maybe you could change it?

A Charmander, sort of a fire-type one
The line also stood out as the pattern that was flowing throughtout the beginning of the poem was broken.
I would change the description you have given of Charmander to something less conspicous.

So Kanto, we thank you, each of us, each one,
Because you made Pokemon #1!
I really liked this last line becuase of the repetition of each, makes the words ust that more significant.
Also, the exclamation mark at the end really brings the poem out into the open.

All in all, this is a really good poem, even though there are some stuff you can change. I would be happy to see more from you in the nearby future
Hope I helped!
