yah, for example meloetta is most definitely female.

i really do think they should assign specific genders to at least some legendaries.

I don't have time to list them all but...

Articuno and Moltres are female, and Zapdos is a male.
Raikou and Entei are male, Suicune is female.
Mew is female while Mewtwo is male.
Kyurem,
Ho-ho is male, Lugia is... I don't know? I think female.
The Regis are male.
Latios and Latias' names are pretty much describing what we are supposed to think.
Weather trio are all male.
Cobalion and Terrakion are male, and Virizion is female.
Xerneas is female and Yvetal is male. The chromosomes.

Tornadus, Thundurus and Landorus have a specific gender too. All three of them are male.

Yes. I listed all of them as a group as male.

I agree with all of them minus Cosmog and Cosmoem. Personally, they will always be male in my eyes. I get the youngster vibe from them(especially considering how energetic Cosmog is)

I'd say Cosmog and Cosmoem would have either gender depending on which legendary they evolve into.

I think most legendary Pokémon would probably be 50/50 Male/Female, except for certain ones that appear as a certain gender; e.g. Meoletta would be 100% female, and Deoxys would be 100% male.

I do agree that Diancie and Meloetta should be female.

Can we say "feminine" and "masculine" instead of female and male? Because I really never mind what gender/sex pokémon are these days, but they sure can look more or less feminine regardless (: I guess it's just a question on what terms one likes to use though.

I'd say 50/50 for all of them except for a select few; mainly counterparts:

Cresellia: female
Darkrai: male
Tapu Bulu/Koko: male
Tapu Lele/Fini: female
Lunala: female (think this was confirmed in the SM dex tho?)
Solgaleo: male (think this was confirmed in the SM dex tho?)

All the rest I can literally see being 50/50

Can't be fifty-fifty?

I typically see most legendary Pokémon as male, with exceptions (Moltres, Mewtwo, The Lake Trio, Palkia and Lunala), while I see Darkrai, Arceus, Victini, Keldeo, Genesect, Hoopa(Unbound), Volcanion and Marshadow as males and the rest as females for mythicals. Legendaries and mythicals with specified genders don't count.

it'd be hilariously difficult even in a hypothetical to guess what genders the Regi Trio + Regigigas would be.

While most other legendaries kinda-sorta have feminine and/or masculine characteristics, the Regi Trio really are something else in being impossible to guess.
