Set your privacy settings to "everyone" on Pokemon.com, then when you're at your house look at your Dream Map. You should see one random person, and you can add them as a Dream Pal or just continue to visit random houses, either way.

I had a thread about this but it got closed without the answer I needed....I asked how to get Thunderous in black version because when I go to GTS trade or w.e I can deposit the pokemon I'm trying to trade, but thunderous isn't an option for pokemon I want. Why is that?

That's why you add peoples friend codes. And give them your own. That is how Wifi Club works. I suggest make a request for a Thunderous here Quick Trade Thread. You do have have Pal Pad correct? If so your friend code should be listed in there.

You can have a maximum of 45 characters in Black City. Try playing with another White Forest. You can only have 12 Trainers.

I don't know too much about the strategies for this game yet, what's all this talk about sweepers, special sweepers, leads, stallers, and the like? Also I'm working on an ariados with toxic spikes and venoshock, any other Ideas for moves?

Check Smogon for its articles, it explains everything about competitive Pokémon.

Those are general terms for competitive play.

A Sweeper is a Pokémon which is designed to kill a lot of stuff very quickly, like Weavile or Alakazam. Weavile would be a Physical Sweeper and Alakazam a Special Sweeper, as those are the category of moves they specialise in respectively.

A lead is a Pokémon to be sent out first whch sets up moves like Stealth Rock or Toxic Spikes for later on in the game. Usually, anyway. There are some variants or anti-Leads, which are Pokémon that can carry Taunt for example to stop these leads from working properly.

A Staller is a Pokémon which stays alive for a long time to whittle down HP or PP. For example, an Umbreon with Protect, Toxic, Wish and Payback is a good Staller because it can stay alive for a long time.

There are many other terms too, so feel free to ask if you need more help.

Sorry if this sounds stupid, I'm just now getting back into Pokemon. I want to collect legit shinies, and I was planning on catching them by soft resetting. Is that all I need to do; soft reset? I've heard a lot about RNG, but it's a bit confusing. If I were hunting for a shiny legendary, is the only thing I have to do soft reset until I see it shiny?

It would take a very, very long time with soft resetting, considering the shiny rate is less than .000125%, literally. If you wanted to, though, you could soft reset for a shiny legendary, especially with all the standing ones around in B/W (Kyurem, Cobalion/Virizion/Terrakion, Tornadus). RNGing is kind of complicated, but you can Google it and get some good guides. Once you set it up once, it's never really hard again.

But is RNG used for capturing shiny wild Pokemon or hatching eggs? Or both?

You CAN rng for eggs technically but I haven't seen it done, only capturing. It actually works best on legendaries. Basically how it works is you get the program, note what time you started the game, and catch a Pokemon and find its IVs. You then fill that into the program and it give you back your "initial seed", which is different for each game/cartridge combination. After that, you search for what you want, and it gives you a certain time to set your DS to, any buttons you have to press while it's loading, and what frame it is, stuff like that, and then you do what it says and it should be what you want. That only applies for IVs though, for shininess you need another game-specific code called your SID which is kind of hard to get.
