It was a peaceful day in Kanto when a boy was running by excitedly. He was followed by a girl. They grew up together, but weren't siblings. They are best friends because of that, they are at the professor.
"Why hello, you must be the new trainers." Oak said as the two were walking inside.
"Yep, the name is Flame." The boy said.
"My name is Mal." The girl said.
"Yep, just as I thought, Kantos first trainers in a while." Oak said.
"So where are our new pokemon?" Flame said excitedly.
"Right here." Oak said putting the three pokeballs on the table.
"What do we have to choose from?" Mal asked.
"Charmander which is a fire type, Bulbasaur which is Grass and Poison, or Squirtle the water type." Oak said.
"I choose Charmander." Flame said as Oak handed him Charmander's pokeball.
"And you?" Oak asked Mal.
"I guess Squirtle." Mal said accepting Squirtle's pokeball. They went outside to see their parents standing there.
"Oh what pokemon did you guys get?" Flame's mom asked.
"I got Charmander." Flame said letting Charmander out of his pokeball.
"I got Squitle." Mal said.
"You chose greatly." Flame's dad said.
"Yes they did, maybe they will be legends like you guys." Oak said walking outside.
"Maybe." Mal's dad said.
"Wait what?" Flame asked confused.
"Soon child, soon." Flame's mom said.
"When you get even older, you will find out." Flame's dad said sounding like Yoda.
"What ever, lets go!." Flame said running off with Charmander on his shoulder. Mal followed him at her own pace.

The two were walking to the next city and were talking.
"So, I wonder what the first gym will be." Flame said walking.
"No clue, but I guess we will find out." Mal said. "But I suggest you catch some pokemon before hand."
"True, can't go to a gym with only one pokemon." Flame said.
"So lets go see if we can find some pokemon." Mal said pointing to the forrest.
"Alright." Flame said charging in.
"Slow down." Mal said following behind.
*On the other side of the forrest*
"Sounds like some fresh trainers." A dude said.
"Yep, lets take their pokemon." Girl said.
*With Flame and Mal*
"Ah cool, a river." Flame said as a Magikarp jumped out.
"According to the pokedex, they are useless until they evolve into Gyarados." Mal said looking at the pokedex.
"Well then, whats that pokemon?" Flame asked pointing to a Seel.
"Its a Seel." Mal said. "It's a Water type."
"Cool, I would try and catch it but Charmander is weak to it." Flame said as two people came to them dressed as if they were on a safari.
"Excuse me, but pokemon catching is not allowed." Boy said.
"Huh?" Mal said confused.
"To keep this rule happening we take all the trainers pokemon who comes here them give them back when they leave." Girl said.
"Ok?" Flame said grabbing the pokeball of Charmander.
"So give us your pokemon and they will be kept safe." Boy said holding out a sack. Flame and Mal put their starters in the sack and the two stranger fled.
"Wait, that rule made no sense." Mal said.
"What would be weird." Flame said.
"Seel." Seel said.
"Hi Seel, sorry but we have to get our pokemon back." Flame said running off along with Mal, Seel decided to follow them.
*With the two strangers*
"Give us back our pokemon." Flame said.
"What, we dont know you." Boy said.
"You may not but we want our pokemon." Mal said.
"Cubone I choose you." Boy said.
"Rattata your up." Girl said as the two pokemon came out and ready for battle.
"Cubone use Bone Club." Boy said but Seel blocked it.
"Its the Seel from before." Flame said as a Charizard came in with a Flamethrower.
"Who's idea was it to invite a Charizard to this?" Girl said.
"It was me." Flame's dad said appearing behind Flame and making Flame jump.
"Wait, what's going on?" Mal asked confused.
"My old enemies are back in town." Flame's dad said.
"Yep, but this time Casey and Harlin will succed." The boy said.
"But not today, Charizard use Dragon Rage." Flame's dad said as the two blasted away with their pokemon. Flame and Mal got their pokemon back.
"Thanks dad." Flame said.
"No problem son, but keep your eyes out for Team Disaster." Flame's dad said petting Charizard.
"Flame, I think Seel likes yah." Mal said pointing to Seel who was next to Flame.
"Want to come with me?" Flame asked and it was excited.
"Go ahead son, catch it." Flame's dad said.
"Pokeball go." Flame said as he threw a pokeball at Seel. The ball shook three times and Seel was caught.
"Alright a new pokemon." Flame said excited.
"If I remember the gym correctly, you have enough pokemon for it." Flame's dad said.
"Then that's where we are going next." Flame said.
"Good luck and be aware of Team Disaster." Flame's dad said waving the two goodbye.

"I can't believe we are almost to the first gym." FLame said walking.
"Yeah well you better train." Mal said.
"True." Flame said stopping.
"But, you can't train with me." Mal said as a dude walked by.
"Maybe I can train with him." Flame said. "Hey can i train with you?"
"I think that would be a bad idea, but I do know where the gym is." Dude said.
"We do know where the gym is but I need some training." Flame said.
"I guess I will challenge it to see what i have to deal with." Flame said.
"Be a smart idea." Dude said.
*At the Gym*
"Alright, if the challenger and gym leader will step up." Ref said as the two stepped up.
"Wait, your the gym leader?" Flame asked.
"Yep, name's Brock." Brock said.
"Release your first pokemon." Ref said.
"Geodude your up." Brock said as a Geodude was on the battlefield ready to battle.
"Charmander your up." Flame said putting Charmander onto the battlefield.
"Let the battle begin." Ref said.
"Geodude use Rollout." Brock said and Charmander was weakened.
"Charmander use Ember." Flame said and Geodude was weakened.
"Geodude use Tackle." Brock said and Charmander was defeated.
"Charmander return." Flame said returning Charmander to its pokeball.
"He has one pokemon while Brock has two." Mal said.
"Seel your up." Flame said releasing Seel onto the battlefield.
"Great choice." Brock said.
"Seel use Headbutt." Flame said and Geodude was weakened.
"Geodude use Rollout." Brock said and Seel was weakened.
"Seel Headbutt once more." Flame said and Geodude was defeated.
"Geodude return, Onix your up." Brock said putting Onix onto the battlefield.
"Thats a big pokemon." Mal said.
"Yes it is, Seel use Headbutt." Flame said but it did nothing.
"Is that the only move Seel knows?" Brock asked.
"I just caught it." Flame said.
"But that isn't right, a pokemon only knowing one move at catch." Brock said. "Onix use Rock Throw and finish it." Seel had been defeated.
"Seel return." Flame said returning Seel to its pokeball.
"Onix return." Brock said returning his pokemon.
"I suggest you train before challenging me again." Brock said walking away.
*Outside*
"He's right, I should have trained." Flame said.
"Know you know his pokemon." Mal said.
"True, just have to learn to deal with it." Flame said.
"So all you have to do is train." Mal said.

Flame was outside training with his pokemon and Mal w=helping with a battle.
"Charmander use Ember." Flame said and Squirtle was weakened.
"Squirtle use Water Gun." Mal said and Charmander was weakened.
"Charmander use Scratch." Flame said and Squirtle was weakened.
"Water Gun again Squirtle." Mal said and Charmander was defeated.
"Charmander return." Flame said as Brock came outside.
"Looks like its training time." Brock said.
"Yep, trying to get stronger." Flame said.
"You did great for the last battle." Brock said.
"Thanks, but I need to work harder to defeat you." Flame said. "Seel come on out."
"Alright Squirtle use Tackle." Mal said and Seel was weakened. Then Seel and Squirtle was taken.
"Who's there?" Flame asked.
"Oh is just a bundle of Disaster." Harlin said.
"Cubone I choose you." Casey said.
"Rattata your up." Harlin said.
"All i have is Charmander and he's defeated." Flame said.
"Let me help." Brock said. "Onix I choose you." releasing a giant rock snake infront of him.
"Seel can you do something?" Flame asked and it tried but no luck.
"Onix use Rock Tomb." Brock said and weakened Cubone.
"Cubone use Bone Club." Casey said and weakened Onix. Seel looked worried.
"Squirtle think you can aim a Water Gun at Cubone?" Mal asked it and it nodded. "Then do it." Squirtle used Water Gun and weakened Cubone.
"Seel." Seel said using a new move called Icy Wind, making him free.
"Seel, you learned a new move." Flame said happily.
"Onix use Rock Tomb again." Brock said weakening Rattata.
"Seel use Icy Wind on Cubone." Flame said and Cubone was defeated.
"Squirtle use Water Gun and set yourself free." Mal said and Squirtle was free and returned back to Mal.
"Cubone return." Casey said returning Cubone.
"Rattata return." Harlin said returning Rattata.
"What are you doing?" Casey asked.
"They basically won." Harlin said.
"Seel use Headbutt." Flame said.
"Squirtle use Water Gun." Mal said.
"Onix use Rock Throw." Brock said and the two had blasted away.
"Thanks Brock." Flame said.
"No problem." Brock said. "Brings me back to the good old days."
"Good old days?" Mal asked.
"When I travelled with Ash long ago." Brock said.
"I heard things about Ash." Mal said.
"Along with our parents." Flame said.
"Well I will go back inside so you can train." Brock said going back inside.
"Well that was nice." Flame said.
"Better get back to training." Mal said.
"Oh right." Flame said.
