The Grand Galloping Gala episode is good episode and welcome to herd.
However, I think you missed the "Favorite Side Pony" part.

Regardless, pony fans is always welcomed here.

The Grand Galloping Gala episode was a great one, and it was a little comical how everypony's "dream night" came apart at the seams.

And having Fluttershy go crazy was put in so every mane pony could have a "crazy" scene, as the other 5 had one in the previous episodes.

Since we did those top ten ponies lists, why are your top three ponies your favorite? You can have it short and sweet to extremely long.

- Pinkie Pie
It's Pinkie Pie, why not? I love Pinkie Pie.

- Rainbow Dash
Again, it's Rainbow Dash. Nuff said.

- Fluttershy
She's shy and timid, just like me. (We surprisingly like a lot in common.)​

Why are my Top 3, my Top 3?

1. Rainbow Dash​
What can I say? She's so cool. So badass. I love her to bits! She's by far my favorite pony and I honestly can see the same stubborn, win-at-all costs attitude in Rainbow Dash, that I can say the same about myself.

2. Octavia​
She's my favorite background/side pony. She's so classical and graceful, and even though she hasn't spoken a line so far, I really like her. I also like her character design as well.

3. Pinkie Pie​
The crazy, hyperactive pony that pretty much everyponybody loves. She just has a happy-go-lucky outlook on life and is so cheerful and happy, and just loves to be the life of the party.

To be honest, a certain piece of fanfiction I read shot her to the top of my list. It's called Black & White. Other than that, I personally think she has one of the best designs in the show, and I love the personality the fandom has given her. Not to mention she plays a Cello. A damn Cello. (Or Double-Bass, dunno which it is. xD;)

2. Twilight Sparkle
The most adorable pony on the show. At the beginning, she acts stuck up, yes. But after realizing how important friendship is, she works her hardest to learn about it, and to help her bonds grow. I personally think she is the strongest character in the show(mentally), and holds characteristics from every Element of Harmony. Oh, and she was especially adorable during Look Before you Sleep and Winter Wrap-Up.

3. Rarity
At first, she comes off as one of those self-centered, stuck up fashionistas, but after a while, she really grows on you. She's a very deep character, and very generous and strong. Extremely funny at times as well! Although she can be quite stubborn at times, she's usually understanding near the end, and despite her looks, she can put up quite the fight. But of course, the part that stands out the most with her is her Generosity, especially during Suited for Success.
