Appearance:
Gemma has long white hair that ends right under her ribs, and is cut bluntly. Her bangs are thick and go straight across her forehead just above her dark eyebrows. Her facial features are very striking; prominent cheekbones, sleek eyes and pouty lips. Her eyes are of a vibrant lavender color. Her skin tone is naturally medium tan, and has freckles on her shoulders and face. She's of fair height, around 5'7" but often wears heels, making her taller, around 6 foot. Her body type is long and lean, like a models body, with slight curves.
Gemma likes to wear long floor length dresses that are fitted around her torso and become looser at the bottom. She is rarely seen wearing pants. With this, she wears looks of jewelry and most of her clothes are pastel or neutral colors. She loves lace and silk, usually pairing it with leather. Since she's into contests and such, it's only normal for her to wear make-up on a daily basis, often having long eyelashes, and a bright lip color.
Personality:
Ms. Crane is usually easy going, but can become very serious in the right situations. When talking, she's usually calm and clever, though sometimes she may come off as stuck up. She is one where it would be best for you not to get on her bad side; she has a very thick and deep rage and usually holds grudges. Gemma likes meeting new people, and likes to often quiz her students on their knowledge. She is always up for a challenge, and becomes pretty competitive. Very confident with everything that she does, and doesn't like making mistakes; which causes her to be hard on herself, in all situations. If you don't give her respect, she will not give it when it's not received.
For being a specialist in Pokémon psychology and psychology in general, she is very in tune with her emotions, and can easily read others. Gemma is very caring, and likes to connect with her students, on a mental level, as with her own Pokémon, and all Pokémon for that matter. Though at times she can have a loner type personality, but it doesn't seem to bother her much.
History:
Gemma grew up with her grandparents and an aunt. She never knew her parents since they both died when she was young, when her household's home burned down. She lived in the Village of Dragons, in the Unova region most of her life up until she was old enough to go with her Aunt to Pokémon Contests. From her Grandfather, she obtained her first Pokémon, a Axew, seeing that her grandfather raised them, and often handed Axew's out for passing trainers. Gemma also learned the way of Pokémon thoughts and behaviors from him, and her Grandmother.
When Gemma was of 12 her Aunt took her to the Hoenn region and had her participate in contests, with her lovely Axew. Seeing that the judges had a hard time liking the tough little Pokémon, she set out to obtain other Pokémon to help her, and would fit better. Gemma dreamed of becoming successful in Pokemon Contests, which was very different from most of her friends back home; most of them were, or training to be Dragon Tamers. Once on a search for a Jinx, she ran into a female Snorunt, and decided to capture it, vowing to turn it into a Froslass. Her Xatu was a gift from a boyfriend that she had when she was 17, who was from the historic city of Ecruteak City. When in Johto visiting relatives, she walked through a forest, and found a tricky Venonat following her, the Pokémon wanted to be with her on her journey, when Gemma was 19.
After all of this, Gemma went to College to further study Psychology and to teach other people about how important understanding your Pokémon is, just as much as training it, along with daily training with her pokemon. She graduated at the top of her class, so much so Professor Oak requested her to teach at the Pokémon Trainer Academy.

Personality: Vera is the most sassy out of Gemma's Pokémon and loves being in the spotlight.
