Time for a MEGA SIZED review, that's right! I'm watching POKEMON: THE FIRST MOVIE!
Pokemon: The First Movie:
** The atmosphere in this opening scene in IN-CRED-IBLE, the music/ancient temple atmosphere is so good!
** WOW the scene where Mewtwo mutters "where am I, why am I, who am I" CHILLS. The dark atmosphere is really well-done.
So what is this scene with the creepy girl about.
-- The direction in this scene is really good but I don't understand what's going on? Who's the ghost girl
* Holy cow this is one epic introduction to the main feature! Where the narrator gives a super-profound speech about life, chills!, ESPECIALLY with Mewtwo's whispery harsh voice.
*** In fact this ENTIRE opening scene is epic. Mewtwo's voice acting is SO good, and his existentialist dialogue is Chilling. The dying words of the scientist ("We dreamed of creating the most powerful Pokemon... and we succeeded") WOW.
This doesn't feel like a Pokemon movie at ALL! It feels like a dark sci-fi Summer Blockbuster.
Well there goes that. NOW it feels like Pokemon (Not a bad thing!)
* Some funny scenes with lazy Ash.
-- SIGH this battle scene is ruined because of a DANCE remix of the theme song I don't like.
** Pikachu eating really fast
Lol James sounded like he was saying "Yes, Tupac"
Wow Mewtwo can control the weather and make storms. He should stop having such a grudge against humans and should Let It Go.
*** I LOVE the scene where someone talks about an epic prophecy or something and Jenny just responds "And that's why the ferry was cancelled".
***
I love the completely out-of-nowhere line:
"Stroke! Stroke! Stroke! I think i'm going to have one!" Feels like something out of Family Guy!
* And the classic "Vikings live in Minnesota" joke. I never knew Minnesota existed in Pokeverse.
** Another well-done scene with them fighting the storm.
AMAZING animation with the New Island, it almost looks real! Same with the clouds below Mew.
Hey it's Mew. Mew's cuteness is overrated I feel. It's no Pikachu.
Wow Scyther sounds like Judas Priest's Rob Halford.
** Funny scene with Meowth, with clever integration of the "who's that Pokemon!"
** Another awesome action scene! The music really helps! But it would be better if my Iron Maiden Pokemon dream came true.
I'm gonna gush again over how AMAZING Mewtwo's voice is!
"Never Mind The Pokeballs" sounds like a fake parody album name.
* Pikachu's voice after getting out of the Pokeball.
"The Hour of Vengance Draws Near" SO badass!
--- Oh MAN "Brother My Brother" is a terrible song! Blander than the blandest bland piece of bread to make it out of a bread factory it sounds like something you'd find playing in your local supermarket. AND THE MOVIE falls apart after this. Everyone delivers a bland speech about why fighting is wrong in a series about fighting monsters OBVIOUSLY shoehorned in to appease the concerned parents. Sad, sad, sad.
** Though I DID get a little Misty-eyed at Meowth's speech. "We have a lot in common. The same earth, the same air, the same sky. How about instead of focusing on what's different we focus on what's the same?" Yearbook quote.
*** THE ENDING. Good GOD the ending. From the scene where Pikachu don't wanna fite and is left sobbing, to the scene where Ash is petrified, with Pikachu trying desparately to wake him up (The way he sounds like he's screaming "WAKE UP!" chills right up the spine), to the part where all the clones sail into the air, the animation, direction, voice acting, and everything... Just un-be-freaking-leavible. Everything combined SO perfectly that I was dangerously close to letting the waterworks loose at the end. Probably the greatest scene in Pokemon history, turning what could've been a crappy sappy ending into an emotional masterwork. And then we get Mewtwo's "I see now that the circumstances of one's birth are irrelevant, it is what you do with the gift of life that determines who you are" another incredibly profound yearbook quote. Beautiful. Simply Outstanding.
Closing Thoughts:
This was a great movie!
I'm gonna say it first. THE DIRECTION/PRODUCTION WAS FREAKING AMAZING. Mewtwo was an incredible villain, from his super-chilling voice to his dialogue (REALLY incredible dialogue by him posted above). The animation in the movie was super-good, scenery like the clouds and New Island looked almost real and life-like.
But the atmosphere of the movie is what cinched it. The first 25 minutes were amazingly chilling and dark, feeling less like a Pokemon movie and more like a dark sci-fi thriller. The middle of the movie had more great scenes, like the scene where they are fighting the waves, but the LAST fifteen minutes, some of the best scenes of the franchise, take the cake. The entire atmosphere surrounding the movie was incredible but those bits showed it best.
Of course there were other positives too. The story was compelling and surprisingly dark for Pokemon, with a villain who thinks humanity is worthless and should be killed, and the messages throughout the movie (Sans one shoehorned one) were very well-done and profound, especially the "circumstances of one's birth" part, and it was really interesting how they deconstructed the Pokemon franchise by mentioning how people treat Pokemon like slaves. There were some good laughs too, mentioned above. And the action was tops.
But it wasn't a 10. Why? Three big ones. One: The first action scene, which could have been good if not for a pathetic Pokemon Theme Dance Mix in the background. Two: "Brother My Brother" a horrendously cheesy/bland supermarket song, and three: The preachy, out of nowhere, and probably shoehorned "fighting is wrong" bit. Plus, the plot was kinda thin, it really was a long, long (but great) battle scene.
Still, an excellent movie. 9/10.

So that's 29/49 episodes watching, or 59%, smaller than the last season.

Season 1 arc included Kanto Championship, hence was 80 Episodes instead of the 53 you've reviewed so far(in fact, you haven't even hit Blaine and Viridian City for the Earth Badge yet). Season 2 arc or Orange Islands doesn't start until Episode 81 Pallet Party Panic and ends at Episode 116 The Rivalry Revival(where Gary kicks Ash's butt so badly that he goes to Johto).

I absolutely loved the Team Rocket troll Episodes or the brief scene in Episode 21 and the iconic and memorable scene in Episode 36 with Ditto's Trainer Duplica. Considering how long the Team Rocket gag has been going, the mere fact they got trolled hard in Episode 36 makes it an instant classic(they haven't been able to quite match or surpass it either... sad really). I mean their latest attempt in XY just fell flat, although the line from James was freaking hilarious. Would be interesting to see how Sun&Moon would handle it if given the chance and whether or not they can redeem themselves.

Good luck with the Episodes. I got through Season 1 over the holiday. Going to hit up Orange Islands this weekend.

Time to begin Season 2!
Pokemon Episode 56 "Riddle Me This"
Yikes, Gary's voice is garbage!
* Some good scenes with Gary's girlfriends.
** Ash's weird fantasy.
** Ash's weird fart-esque noises?
And it's Team Rocket with paper-thin disguises, boggles the mind how they never notice!
Wait a second there's a sillouette that looks like SHREK!
* Pikachu spinning around
Gary: "I've never seen someone so pathetic"
Misty: "Try a mirror!"
BURN OF THE CENTURY
** Jigglypuff drawing on everyone's faces.
Ooh, the "Who's That Pokemon!" has a new voice! The Pokemon this time around is Magmar, which is UGLY!
Wow they actually said "Bombs Away!" and not "Blaster Balls Away!"
-- Pretty bad action scene.
*** The EPIC radar-dodging hot-springs scene.
I like Ninetale's very high voice completely goes against it's appearance!
** Good gym battle scene, especially with Charizard's refusal to battle.
*** Woah, one HELL of a cliff-hanger!
Closing Thoughts:
An alright episode.
The story was good, with Ash going to Cinnibar Island, where they meet Blaine, who gives cryptic riddles onto how to find the gym. A nice twist on the typical gym battle premise, it was enjoyable.
The action was a mix, there was a weak shoehorned Team Rocket battle but the gym battle was great and ended with an AMAZING cliffhanger.
Humor was great too wish some good jokes.
Overall, a 7.5/10.

After one helluva cliff-hanger we go on!
Pokemon Episode 57 "Volcanic Panic"
* A good battle scene.
** AAAW! Look at Ash washing Pikachu!
Nice soundalike of Pink Panther theme
* Some funny scenes with Team Rocket
Jessie and James hug again. ROCKETSHIPPING CON-FIRMED!
** Really good, well-directed scene of the volcanic eruption
* Funny scene with Pikachu carrying rocks.
*** GREAT, tense action scene.
** Ash's reaction to Charizard wanting to battle
*** FANTASTIC battle scene between Charizard and Magmar, everything combines perfectly.
* Ash being burnt by Charizard.
Closing Thoughts:
An excellent ep, one of the best!
The story was good, Ash continues his gym battle with Blaine, while Team Rocket almost make the volcano erupt. Could've preferred without the obligatory Team Rocket but other than that it was great.
Action was FANTASTIC, the scene in the volcano was good but it was REALLY made by the Charizard vs Magmar battle, which was spectacular.
And the humor was in strong form as well.
Overall, 8.5/10.

Charizard vs Magmar is definitely one of the best battles in the history of the show. I remember having to watch this episode when it premiered on my grandma's old black and white TV because a hurricane that happened earlier in the week knocked out cable service in town and the black and white TV was the only one we had that had an antenna to get basic channels without the cable service. I was one of the only ones in school to be able to watch it because of this.

Sleep little darling do not cry
And I will sing a lullaby

Paul McCartney of The Beatles, "Golden Slumbers"
The episodes keep on coming!
Pokemon Episode 58 "Beach Blank-Out Blastoise"
Wow Pokedex has a new voice again
Wow Squirtle has a pair of swag-goggles
* Ash getting shocked.
** "I had to go and open my big MEOWTH" finally they did the most obvious pun.
Wow the Who's That Pokemon isn't the main Pokemon of this ep. Wynaut?
Wow they recycled the sound of Pikachu yawning.
* Team Rocket slapping Meowth
Aww, James falls asleep on Jessie and uses her hair as a pillow. ROCKETSHIPPING CONFIRMED AGAIN!
** Good action scene.
* Jigglypuff's weird eyes
** Jigglypuff drawing on their faces, followed by a SICK fourth-wall joke about how they "aren't cartoon characters"
Closing Thoughts:
A step down from Volcanic Panic but still a very good episode.
Plot was interesting and funny, they stumble upon an island of the Squirtle family which is making everyone on it fall asleep, and it turns out that it's because our favorite Jigglypuff is stuck inside! Pretty goofy, even if it was a filler ep.
Action was strong, it was great to see Team Rocket put up a fight and almost win!
Humor was strong too, as usual.
Overall, I give it a 7.5/10.

Time for an out-of-this-world adventure!
Pokemon Episode 60 "Clefairy Tales"
** Another funny scene with Jigglypuff.
Woah it's a UFO
Aww look at Pikachu and Togepi eating the ice cream.
* Ash's weird crying
* The weird UFO skeptic
Huh they're saying "NOMEKOP NOMEKOP" which is "Pokemon" backwards! Kewl.
Wait now it turns out they're aliens after ALL! That's good I thought it was a bland formulaic episode.
** Jigglypuff slapping Clefairy
* Good action scene as well.
Wow Jessie and James fall asleep on another again. Rocketshipping CONFIRMED yet again!
* Nice Dream Theater-esque (!) background music
Closing Thoughts:
A decent episode.
The plot was interesting, with a group of Alien Clefairies who try taking Pikachu into space. The premise was pretty weird and out-of-nowhere and I really liked it, aliens haven't really been featured in Pokemon before.
The action scenes were strong, Jigglypuff packed a mean punch!
Humor was alright as well.
Overall, 7/10.

Square for battle!
Let the fray begin

Geddy Lee of Rush "By-Tor And The Snow Dog"
Time for a gym battle episode with Palletshipping hints?
Pokemon Episode 61 "The Battle Of the Badge"
Woah, this could be his eighth badge, and there's 15 eps left before the Kanto League! 'Cause this is FILLER, FILLER NIGHT! Sorry
Wait did he just say it had been a YEAR since he left on his journey? Did it really take that long? DOES THAT MEAN HE'S ELEVEN NOW
** Pikachu and Togepi enjoying the fire
Wait a sec Gary has ten gym badges, there are eight gym badges. I want to make a clickbait meme with him: "POKEMON TRAINERS HATE HIM: FIND OUT HOW YOU CAN WIN EXTRA BADGES WITH THIS ONE WEIRD TRICK"
* Ash finding out about Gary
Aww, Togepi comforting Ash
** Ash's incredible pun followed by Misty's big head
Woah Togepi just spanked James
-- Pretty-one sided battling
Hey look, it's MEWTWO! That's ONIX-Pected
Aww, look at Ash cradling an injured Gary in his arms. PALLETSHIPPING CONFIRMED!
** Some funny scenes with Ash
** Great action scene, wow, Ash feels the pain of the attacks, that's pretty dark
Aww Ash petting Pidgeotto
* Jessie punching James
I assume this is AFTER the events of the First Movie since they seem to have forgotten about Mewtwo.
Closing Thoughts:
A great gym battle episode!
The story was intriguing, Ash tries to get his eighth gym battle, but against an unlikely foe, Team Rocket! It was an interesting match and good to see them actually be competent villains.
The action scenes were very intense and well-done, though Gary's landsliding was boring the final climax was really good!
Humor was on form as always, lots of good laughs.
Overall, 8/10.

SKIPPING "The Pi-Kahuna" and "All Fired Up!" since reading them again they don't look interesting. So now i'll watch "Holiday Hi-Jynx" since it was supposed to air after Episode 62, "It's Mr Mime Time!".
Simply, having, a wonderful Christmastime
Paul McCartney, "Wonderful Christmas Time"
Pokemon Episode 63 "Holiday Hi-Jynx"
Wow Jessie reads the title card! That's unique.
* Funny opening scene with Team Rocket.
Wow it's a flashback to Jessie's childhood!
Hey look it's Jynx! I can see why they changed it's color.
Pokedex's voice got higher again. At this rate only my dog will be able to hear it.
** Pikachu's spiral eyes
* Charmander poking Pikachu
** Jynx trying to kiss Ash
*** WOW the scene with the shadowy figure approaching Ash was AWESOME
Hey look it's a talking Lapras, and it's pretty creepy. I like it's voice.
Team Rocket hug again. ROCKETSHIPPING CONFIRMED!
** Good action scenes.
Ash and the gang get a White Christmas. Lucky them I haven't had one in years
Aww look at Team Rocket snoozing together. ROCKETSHIPPING CONFIRMED AGAIN
Closing Thoughts:
A solid Christmas special that aired in October.
The story was entertainingly goofy, as Team Rocket try to sabotage Christmas by stealing all of Santa's presents and there's a Jynx. Very silly plot but still entertaining, and I also felt very sympathetic for Jessie's rationale.
Action scenes were strong, with very good direction.
And many laughs were had.
Overall, 7.5/10, deducted from 8 or 8.5 because Jynx

Snow glows white on the mountain tonight
Not a footprint to be seen

Idina Menzel, "Let It Go"
Time for the second holiday ep that aired in October!
Pokemon Episode 64 "Snow Way Out!" (PATHETIC pun title!)
** Aww, Pikachu's happy dance
I like how Ash calls Pikachu "Pik"
* Ash and the gang find out their lost
*** Blizzard scene is REALLY well-done, the combination of Pikachu's echoed cries for help, the snow atmosphere, and everything else is SUPER-good in this scene.
* Pikachu imitating Brock.
I like the weird pronunciation of "Igloo"
Aww look at Meowth sleeping
* Jessie slapping them.
Aww, look at Ash and Pikachu cuddling to keep warm.
*** AWW, adorable scene with Ash cuddling up with his Pokemon to stay warm. The music is INCREDIBLE!
Jessie and James hug again to the point they get STUCK together. Rocketshipping confirmed!
Closing Thoughts:
Another solid ep.
The story was good, fast-moving, and paced well, with Ash and the gang stuck in a snowstorm and trying to brave it. The direction was also really good, especially the scene where Ash hugs all of his Pokemon to stay warm.
The humor was also strong with some good laughs.
No action scenes here but the epic atmosphere allows an 8/10.

I'll take you back to the start
Chris Martin of Coldplay, "The Scientist"
Time for the last two episodes before the Kanto League!
Pokemon Episode 70 "Go West, Young Meowth" (These puns :()
Aww look at Pikachu working out.
Huh Hollywood California exists in Pokemon-land! If Minnesota exists too this means it's in OUR world
Have anyone else noticed that Ash's mom seems really young? I mean she could pass for like 20-25 but then again my perceptions of age are kinda messed up (I thought Kiawe was like 40)
** Aww look at Pikachu's ears moving
"My Stomach was empty, and so was my heart" the feels bro
** Meowth's beserk face
** Another good Meowth face
So this means Meowth was Born in the U.S of America. So where were Ash and the gang, plus Team Rocket born in? I'd presume Japan since Kanto region and all.
AWW Pikachu in his snazzy dress clothes.
Man is real life Hollywood this much of a dump? I bet it is a lot of American cities are pretty big dumps.
* Meowth getting hit with frying pan.
This episode is SO cute for Meowth. His cute faces, his little jacket...
* Meowth's terrible singing
-- Pretty bad song by Meowth
SO THAT'S HOW MEOWTH CAN TALK! I never knew that
Hey look they show Chinese and Japanese text
** Yet another good Meowth face
Closing Thoughts:
A very good flashback episode.
The plot was surprisingly dark for Pokemon! It tells Meowth's tragic backstory, a story of love, loss, hardship, and pain. Damn, you really hit the feels with this one.
The tone was lightened up with humor, however, Meowth gave a lot of funny scenes.
There weren't really any action scenes, but I will point out the direction was really good and I liked how they showed Hollywood as kinda dumpish. Really cynical! Overall, an 8/10 episode.

Time for the last one before the Kanto League!
Pokemon Episode 72 "The Ancient Puzzle of Pokemopolis"
** Good battle scene to start things off.
Wow the scientist girl got a young start. Adulthood in Pokemon World is really different. I once read people in Pokemon are adults at ten, which means I would be an adult in 5th grade?
** Team Rocket kicking Meowth
Trivia: This episode is the namesake of Pokemopolis.com.
Woah Ash's voice cracked
WOAH it's a Giant Gengar, this is a really interesting ep!
So now Eve is floating in the air and is possessed and now there's a giant Alakazam for some reason. None of this episode makes any sense and I love it
*** Really well-directed fight scene.
And now the Pokeballs are exploding in mid-air and their freezing everybody and WHAT IS THIS
AND NOW there's a giant Jigglypuff for some reason
Aww Ash and Misty sleep back to back again. POKESHIPPING CONFIRMED!
AWWW look at Pikachu and Togepi cuddled up together!
* More Jigglypuff fun
Closing Thoughts:
What a STRANGE episode:
Ash and the gang stumble upon an ancient temple, where a curse arrives which causes them to be devoured by a Giant Gengar, and everyone gets devoured or frozen by the Gengar for SOME reason and then some archaeologist gets possessed for some other reason and then a Giant Alakazam appears and freezes Ash and the gang and then a bell appears and projects a Giant Jigglypuff who sings and that "soothes the powers of destruction" (their words not mine) and then everyone falls asleep and order is restored.
WHAT. THE. HELL.
Overall it's no worth grading such a bizarre episode, so I give it the most suitable grade possible: ~_~/10

Time to begin the binge!
Pokemon Episode 75 "Round One- Begin!"
** Classic Brock flirting
EROR Meowth refers to Pidgeys as Pidgeottos
** Cute scene with Pikachu
SHUT UP Gary your voice is annoying to the xtreme
** Ash's mom's video call, he reminds me so much of what my mom would prolly do
Man has Ash been starving himself? That's spooky
* A good scene with Team Rocket
--- But I don't like how they rooted for Ash
** Great battle scene!
I love the recycling of the scene of them watching the match on TV
Closing Thoughts:
A good episode.
The story was good, with Ash starting the Kanto Gym Battle, though I wasn't a fan of Team Rocket rooting for them.
The action scenes lived up to the expectations of a gym battle episode, being tense and exciting.
And there were some good jokes throughout.
Overall, I give it a 7.5/10.

Time for part two of the Kanto Arc!
Pokemon Episode 76 "Fire And Ice"
Why didn't they show the full rock battle? That's a downer
** Good action scene
* Togepi's super-excited reaction to food
* Togepi pulling forks off table, and Pikachu getting hit by them
** Lovestruck Brock in top form, his voice acting kills it
** Another funny scene with disguised James and lovestruck Brock
Aww look at Pikachu hugging Ash
I wonder why they NEVER fall for Team Rocket's paper-thin disguises
** Another great gym battle action scene, especially the climax!
Closing Thoughts:
A decent episode, though nothing special.
The gym battling portions of the episode where as always good but I could've done without the scene of Ash trying to find a Pokemon Center it was kinda fillery.
However, the action scenes were very well-done, as were the humor, so 7/10 I place on thee.

Time for part three!
They battled through the ages
But still neither force would yield

Geddy Lee of Rush, "Hemispheres"
Pokemon Episode 77 "The Fourth Round Rumble"
* Another good action scene.
Wow, Gary LOST! That's good, i'm glad he's not just a Gary Stu "I WIN EVERYTHING!"
** Victreebell eating James
I hope this means Team Rocket finally stop trying to catch Pikachu every time!
** Misty's weird mouth movements. The show is really good at Facial expression humor.
I am a big fan of the "Ash pulls out Pokeball" animation being reused every single time
*** A top-notch battle scene! SUPER-intense
** MORE great faces
* And another good battle scene.
I like Bellsprout, but Weepinbell's so good.
Wow Bellsprout's slaying!
** What a tense battle.
I like how Congratulations is across two lines.
Closing Thoughts:
The best of the Kanto arc thus far.
The story was good again, with Ash fighting in his fourth round and advancing to the final.
Humor was okay, but the action was the highlight! The fight scenes were spectacular, intense, and thrilling, and easily some of the best yet.
Overall, 8/10.

Almost done with the League!
Pokemon Episode 79 "Friend And Foe Alike"
Hey look it's new guy Ritchie who has a Pikachu too!
* Some more funny faces from Ash
Ritchie's voice is bad, like Ash but more annoyingly high pitched
** Jessie: "There was something that kept me from having friends as a little girl"
James: "It must have been your personality"
Jessie's gonna need a burn heal
Man Ritchie is awfully similar looking to Ash. Could he be his long lost brother?
ERROR: Brock refers to Charmander as a "Flame-type" there are NO flame type Pokemon
** Some good action
** I like their spiral eyes
Huh Happy is an interesting name for a Butterfree.
** Another good gym battle scene.
I like the Charmander being called "Zippo"
*** This battle scene's really intense!
Sparky's a cute name for Pikachu.
--- Wow. Ash LOST the entire league Just because Charizard was being a jerkwad. He had victory in his hands but NO victory means the end of the series so Ash HAS to lose
This sickens me
And you know, this wouldn't nessecarily mean the end, he could try to win in the other regions as well to become the Pokemon master of the WHOLE WORLD or something.
OR they could've turned perspective to someone new or something if he won, but NOOOOO! He just has to keep losing and losing and losing.
I hate this.
Closing Thoughts:
Aside from the AWFUL ending it was a fine episode with intense battling, a clever scheme from Team Rocket, and good humor. 7/10.

When you're through with life
And all hope is lost
Hold out your hands
'Cause friends will be friends
Right 'till the end

Freddie Mercury of Queen, "Friends Will Be Friends"
Let's hope the disappointment of Ash's loss wears off this time.
Pokemon Episode 80 "Friends Till The End"
** Love the sad music in background
Big fan of Bulbapedia's shipping page for Ash X Ritchie which lists moments where they are remotely friendly. I don't ship them, I think they're brothers
** Another strong battle scene.
And Ritchie lost too! Man this show's really cynical. He tried so hard, and come so far, but IN THE END IT DOESN'T EVEN MATTER
* Pikachus wrestling
** Pikachu's weird eyes
* Some good Team Rocket battling
AWWW look at the Pikachus dazzled by the performance. Cuteness overload!
*** I LOVE the scene at the end with Ash and Ritchie, the direction and music made it really touching. I got teary-eyed!
Closing Thoughts:
A good close to the Kanto league (I'm skipping Pallet Party Panic, on closer inspection it's filler)
The story was good, with some nice cute friendship bonding between Ash and Ritchie, as they share their losses and have some nice moments together, the scene where they're sitting alone in the empty stadium was really sweet, for example.
The action scenes were strong as always, and jokes were good.
So we close out the Kanto arc with a 7.5/10! And that's that!
I'm going on vacay so i'll be gone for eight days, see ya then for the Orange Islands arc. But until then...

Time for a new beginning, I begin the second series, Orange Islands. After the very strong Kanto Arc, with only 3 bad eps that I saw, can Orange Islands be good too? Let's start.
Pokemon Orange Island Adventures Episode 1 "A Scare In The Air"
New theme song "We All Live In A Pokemon World" is pretty meh, sounds like MJ on a bad day. However a part of me wants to hear Ronnie James Dio sing it, but he's dead :( It's better than the first song at least.
** Brock's weird laughing.
I think blimp flight would be really slow, I mean blimps travel at like running speed.
* Pikachu's strained face, also the "refrigerator magnets" scene
** MORE good faces
Once again they fall for the lazy disguises.
* Funny scene with Jigglypuff.
** Also some nice scenes with Team Rocket, as always.
ROCKETSHIPPING confirmed again as they hug.
* A funny scene with them flying the blimp, the voice acting makes it.
** ANOTHER funny scene with Team Rocket. In comedy this is ACE
** Very well-done action scene, with good storm atmosphere.
Closing Thoughts:
A top 5 episode!
The story was great. Ash and the gang board a blimp flight to start their journey to the Orange Islands, and everything that can go wrong does go wrong. Thrilling, intense story right here.
The action was well-done, with good storm atmosphere.
Humor was among the best. SO many good laughs from Team Rocket and Jigglypuff that kept me chuckling.
Overall, 8.5/10.
