<3 Pi-Face, for sure. I love math (I am a math major) and I specialised in visual arts in high school so couple that with his massive ego (those are my favourite kinds of characters) and he's seriously just the perfect character for me. I'm always going back to this avatar/sig set because I like him so much. :'D

I really hope he makes some sort of appearance in KH 3D, though even if he doesn't, the fact that other TWEWY characters are there makes me happy because it means they can draw from that game for NPCs whenever they want from now on.

Who is your favorite character from The World Ends With You, and why?
For me, id have to say sho minamimoto, just because he looks so epic, especially when he gets powered up later on.
EDIT: I edited it. WOOPS I feel embarrassed I haven't played in so long.
Rhyme is my favorite, Idk why, she just is, I love her so much, when I heard she was in KH3D, I was bouncing up and down with joyness. <3

Crazy question:
What pokemon do you think fits each of the twewy characters?
Ex., pi-face=haxorus, neku=scrafty, beat=infernape (at least, imo lol)
what do yall think?

P.S., if any of yall use PO, what trainer sprite (number of sprite plz) would resemble Mr. Hanekoma?

I always associate Luxray with Sho since his noise form is a lion. :B And I can see Rhyme with Emolga or one of the Pikachu clones since they sort of match her noise form.

...apparently I can't separate people from their noise forms in this game, which makes sense because I can't really think of any Pokemon for people in the game who don't have one. 8D;

Well, you've got the 3DS so the big payment's out of the way. :P My parents agreed to help out with my 3DS + KH preorder as my birthday gift this year so now I'm refreshing the shipping page waiting for my tracking #. xD; I do wish I could have gotten the special edition 3DS but ugggh $500 and it never even went up for preorder anyway. *sob*

Happy Birthday to KH though! I can't believe it's been around so long with no KH3. Mind you, I don't think I got into it until 2004 so it hasn't quite been a decade yet but... still. That's a very long time. @_@

Well, I bought Kingdom Hearts 3D: Dream Drop Distance. it's like 55 mins away from my town, and it says "Package not due for delivery". So I have to wait till Monday, or Tuesday to get it.

Also, speaking of KH3D. The NA release date is July 31st 2012, for the EU release I think August 3rd 2012. But July 31st is a DAY before my birthday, the timing couldnt be better :).

dkjslkfs yay! You got it!

I'll have someone to talk to about it! <3

I'm not very far because I was high on painkillers all last week and playing in 3D made me really dizzy so I bet you'll beat it before me. XD

Also you do have the option not to play in 3D right? LOL. I cant play a game, or watch a movie in 3D. haha.

Yeah, but for most of the week I reeeally wanted to play in 3D. I eventually gave up on it. XD;

I'm probably fine to do it now but I think my body still associates any amount of 3D on the 3DS with "oh, I'm supposed to get a headache and make you dizzy now right?" so... I'm just gonna keep on avoiding it.

I would like to join this club, if it's still alright. I love Square-Enix. <3

I'll answer some of the discussion topics, too (see under the spoiler tag). By the way, it's great that you guys already have copies of the Japanese KH:DDD (no, I'm not smiling, that's Dream Drop Distance for non-KH fans, although I think the colon before the D's can be omitted). Now I can hear from your experiences first-hand! :33

Spoiler:

Additionally, I would like to contribute with a conversation topic.

What was your first KH/FF game and what were your thoughts about it?
First Kingdom Hearts game played would be Kingdom Hearts: Chain of Memories for the GBA, which I never finished on my first try and only actually beat this year. XD Discovering it was a fond memory, especially feeling all the charm brought by having my favourite Disney characters in the game. Admittedly, I mostly didn't get the story, haha. I eventually knew the story from the other games and the internet, though. Now that I think of it, it's probably why I beat it late. :P

First Final Fantasy game played would be Final Fantasy IV Advance on the GBA. I'm a bit late on the Final Fantasy bandwagon, but I really liked that game's story and some of the characters (particularly Kain and Rydia <3). I only started seriously liking it from playing Final Fantasy VI Advance, and after trying out Final Fantasy VII and X, I've been loving the series ever since. :3

I'll add this to the answer, too, since Dragon Quest is also owned by Square-Enix. I've only played one Dragon Quest game: Dragon Quest V: Hand of the Heavenly Bride on the DS, and I'm, sadly, uninterested to continue. I wish I'd get motivated, though, especially with that sharp-looking art style reminiscent of Chrono Trigger (I know they both have Akira Toriyama behind the games so that explains it). Oh yeah, is anyone willing to recommend me a good Dragon Quest game?

I just realized how long that post was, so I'm placing a spoiler tag around some of it out of respect. Loving something this much really gets me talking, it seems. XD

Chances are, my post asking to join this club was buried from last page in your view. So tl;dr that, I want to join because I love SE.
It's great you have it already, Conan. :)
I really want to prove those guys wrong, the ones bashing on KH3D and saying how disappointed they are of the game.

Probably the points (e.g. even more examples of the Kudzu Plot trope, much more than other games combined as exaggerated by someone from the internet; Nomura's taking Sakaguchi's advice way too far) they have would surface later on in the game, though, so I'll wait for you to keep playing and hear your thoughts about it. Not forcing you, though. In fact, I am very glad that you are loving the game.

Everyone gets accepted. :D You don't have to wait for a reply~ (Is OP even around anymore?)

KH3D is a lot of fun, but it definitely does feel like a spinoff. Way moreso for me than BBS did, but maybe it's just the fact that we've had so many and even I'm getting tired of them. The game is definitely an improvement to the KH formula. Better graphics, faster/perfected battle system, exploration is a lot better, the minigames are (on the whole) a lot better than most entries... but there are some things that it's just doing oddly. And I'm not sure I'm a huge fan of those.

My only real complaints: maps are too big, cutscenes are... weird? Sometimes for the Disney world plots, they'll give you a cutscene and then prompt you for permission to show you another one instead of just putting them all together... and then you can watch these set up cutscenes from the help menu but those are the only ones with an in-menu theatre mode??? o_O And the drop system (what forces you to switch between Riku & Sora) is kind of annoying, especially since I don't entirely know how it works and for the first while it happens way too fast.

But on the whole, I'm having so much fun with it. @_@ I can't wait for my school term to be over tomorrow so I can just hide away and finish it, haha.

--

My first KH game was KH1, so at least with this series I started out at the beginning. It was my first RPG that wasn't Pokemon so I kind of fell in love with it. I've always really liked Disney and that was the main reason I wanted to try KH out. I'd rented a PS2 for a week and this was one of the games I got. I had to go out and buy my own memory card the moment I started it because I knew I was gonna be hooked. (And I ended up buying a copy of KH1 several months before I even got my PS2... haha.)

But my first FF game was FFX-2. XD; I mean, you'd think of all the series out there, picking a random FF game would be safe because I wouldn't need to know previous titles. (I know there's a 2 right in the title, but in my defence, I had no idea how the FF series worked and until then there had never been a direct sequel so...!) I rented X-2, initially, and I liked it enough to run out and buy X when I had to bring it back so I at least finished those games in order. :P

I'm accepted yay. :D

@Lightning: I can imagine how KH3D might feel like a spin-off after all the experimental systems the fandom has gone through since KHII, which is ironic, given that Sora and Riku star in it (but Chain of Memories was sort of a spin-off). Great to hear that the battle system has improved. Although one of the main selling points of the game, in my opinion, is how huge the worlds are, leading to platforming and exploration that I've missed for so long (returned largely in Re:Coded but yeah).

From that however, I'm not sure if they went a bit overboard with the huge worlds. I'm not liking the thought of having to pace through vast horizontal ground and battling Dream Eaters every step. And that Drop system sounds as if it's better gone than having it interrupt important battles or your own drive to see how a particular plot point is solved in a character's perspective. I hope they have a more complete Theater Mode when you finish the game, just the thought of missing cutscenes in something like that makes no sense.

Your school term's recently over, Lightning? That's great, you've got more time for yourself. :)

I'm slightly jealous that you started with the first KH. :P Although I have only played Chain of Memories and 358/2 Days before it, (completed the latter as my first finished KH game) it's still great to finish the first game in the series before the others, because then you'd get what Nomura intends to show you with the sequels. Especially with a series like Kingdom Hearts.

Interesting to hear you started with X-2. Even more interesting is it was good enough for you to play more of the series. I couldn't bring myself to finish the game, not because of the quality or gameplay (both are pretty good) but the notion of having only three characters with the plot focusing on just one main playable character didn't sound like a great premise. Thankfully, it does even out with the class-changing system ("Dresspheres") a la FFV, and with that, I'll probably try finishing it soon.

Omg, i laughed so hard after i watched this:

If u look at the end, even yen sid is going "WHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!?!"
I'll just tell people that it's a scene from KH3D's (very long) ending.
I laughed a little when I saw that scene for the first time, too.

Yeah, if there's anyone in the fandom who has never really minded spinoffs, it's me. @_@ Chain of Memories was my favourite KH game before BBS came along, I was more excited for Days than anything because I really liked the Organization, and BBS is... well, my favourite game of all time now. XD; Re:Coded even gets a little bit of a pass from me because it's not THAT bad a game when I remember it was originally entirely a cell phone game. I just thought it was horribly implemented and the fact that I'd seen grainy footage of the only important part (the end) long before the remake was even announced made it not worth it for me. :P But 3D... well, it feels fine and it looks even better than BBS did so graphically. It's just got a lot of the disjointed world feel that BBS suffered from because they split up the protagonists. So you have to skip around through characters to get the whole story and since they literally pull you out of one character and throw you into another at (somewhat) random, it's hard to consider it on the same level as KH1 or 2.
From that however, I'm not sure if they went a bit overboard with the huge worlds. I'm not liking the thought of having to pace through vast horizontal ground and battling Dream Eaters every step. The worlds aren't necessarily large horizontally--actually what makes the game both great and easy to get lost in is how expansive the worlds are in, no pun or anything intended, a three-dimensional way. Because of the Free Flow Action system, you can pretty much infinitely wall jump if you're good at it (and it's not hard). So they have a lot of ledges and rooftops and areas that you can't access without FFA and it's really easy to miss a lot of them. But it's nice because you can do all of this from the moment you're dropped (pun intended!) into the action. So once you're in an area, you can get ANYWHERE in it by climbing up the walls, sliding over pipes to new buildings, etc. When my end-game stats came up, I'd already capped my wall jump FFA as my most-used technique at 999 uses, haha.

The drop system was very silly by the end of the game. XD; I was playing as Riku and was nearly out of time, so I went ahead and dropped into Sora. I played as him for a while and when I ran out of time, it switched me back to Riku. I took THREE STEPS and because I wasn't supposed to move on with him yet (Sora had to catch up), it plot-dropped me back into Sora. Like... why even bother with the drop gauge at that point? ;_;

[KH3D spoiler]
Spoiler:
Finished the game last night, despite a lot of glitches during the boss fights. I'm glad I didn't click the original spoiler before that. XD;

Spoilers for 3D Ending
Spoiler:

I'm still a little lost on some plot points in the game. x_X My "dream" vocabulary in Japanese is apparently HORRIBLE and oftentimes all I had was my phone to decipher some kanji so I didn't even bother. I want to go back to some of the more important scenes that I didn't totally understand and translate them properly so I know wtf is going on... but I'm still probably going to be relying on the Ultimania release in a few weeks for the interviews that usually explain everything anyway. (My "hearts" vocab is still top-knotch though: in one of the ending scenes, they stopped talking about dreams entirely and started talking about hearts like they usually do in this series and I didn't have to pause to look something up even once. XD)
