The Nidoran, whom shall soon no longer only be referred to by his species name, steps right into the jaws of a feisty Trapinch! It seems Nidoran is too scared to keep fighting after almost having lost its leg...
... but unwilling to disappoint you again, it regains its focus and sends the wild Trapinch spiraling! Just far enough that you can still reach it with a pokéball. Congratulations!
You and Trapinch carefully get to know each other. It's not always easy; Trapinch seems to interact mostly by biting. However, thanks to your immense patience and very tough extra gloves, you have soon befriended the pokémon which you aptly name Good Boi.
One day, you traverse a route with a particularly rocky landscape. Suddenly, from behind a particularly rocky rock leaps a blue creature, poised for attack!
It is a wild Riolu!
You test the waters of the new bond between yourself and Good Boi, but ultimately the Riolu manages to outwit and evade the jaws of your pokémon. Leaving Good Boi in a sorry state, the Riolu blows raspberries at you before it takes off behind the particularly rocky rock again. Good Boi might need some careful attention now to not feel like muk over this humiliating defeat.
You and Porygon are eager to get out and encounter your very first wild pokémon together! You scour the bushes for encounters... And out leaps a vicious...
It is so vicious and Porygon is so new to this, that Porygon gets a shock from the sudden appearance and faints on the spot. The wild Wurmple snorts and waddles back into the foliage. Better luck next time.
You and your trusty Swinub encounter a Munchlax napping under a conspicuously empty berry tree. You launch a surprise attack, raining Ice Shards down upon the helpless Normal type. By the time it wakes up, it's already being drawn into it's new home in your Pokeball.
Your Munchlax picks up your pokeball and gives it a munch... only to discover that it's not fruit at all. Angrily it tosses the false idol away. The ball goes flying into the nearby bushes and strikes something. It appears you have caught a Tangela. Or Munchlax has?
