The comment right here https://www.pokecommunity.com/showpost.php?p=9622576&postcount=2 on my topic of what types that could possibly added, lead me to say "Welp! Good point! Why don't we discuss the types instead? :D"
So, what are your opinions on types anyways? Do you think some need changing? Be removed? Changed in weakness/strength? Or should types even exist?
Some may say that adding types would be a way to add more variety or creativity to something that already makes little sense, others say it only confuses the player and are completely unnecessary. Well, while we're on that topic, I could go a little over a few types that bring up a few questions to my head. =O Pokémon isn't really supposed to be taken that seriously, I mean, Gastly can lay eggs, hello? XD But for this bit, I'll pretend that the game was handed to me and I'm supposed to judge it for its type choices. ;)
Pokémon wouldn't be Pokémon without having creatures that use elements like electricity and water. But... I gotta say, that when you really get into thinking about it and try to apply logic, you'll end up getting more upset than anything. *sweat*
If you don't like Pokémon types to be discussed or put down, even if a lot of it is just for the purpose of joking about something we all love, then turn away from the topic. ^^
Become a Flying-type and take flight and escape! *me trying to be silly*
In fact, I'll put my opinions in a spoiler tag, so it's your choice to open its content. >=D *evil laugh*
For the rest of us... put on those nerd goggles, bring up a chair for your Waifu, use Secret Power to see what is inside the spoiler, and let's Dive into this topic! ;D *omg do I suck at being silly*
Welp! That was a mouthful! What are your thoughts? =D
Again, I've played Pokémon since Pokémon Blue on the Game Boy, so don't think I'm trying to put down a franchise. *sweat* It's just really fun for some of us to just point out how ridiculous this fun franchise can be, or that when really thinking about it, some wonder why we haven't questioned these things before? XD Please don't get offended and misunderstand this topic's intend. ^^
PS: The reason it's not called Pokemon discussion, is because it would be too general and include Pokédex entries, height, weight, evolution line, EVs, movesets, NPCs, teams... Well, everything. XD

Spoiler:
Poison-type, ah. So what is poison? Is it everything negative that affects your body? Or should it have Bacteria-, Virus-, Venom-type as sub-categories? I suppose it's "poison" to your bodies or "toxins" how some people claim it to be, so I guess I'll leave that one alone.
If you can add something to that type though, please do! I'm curious of what you have to say! =D
Steel-type. So what is steel?
[S-HIGHLIGHT]Definition: a hard, strong, gray or bluish-gray alloy of iron with carbon and usually other elements, used extensively as a structural and fabricating material.[/S-HIGHLIGHT]
Ah, so it's mixture of metals. Metal, metal... Hey, why is it not called Metal-type? Are we implying that steel is the only metal that can naturally grow on a creature? What about other metals or ores like copper, aluminum, brass, bronze, platinum, silver, tin, zinc, stainless steel, titanium, chromium, gold, iron, nickel, palladium, mercury, and the other dozens of metals/ores out there?
Some melt faster, some are very conductive, while others are liquid at room temperature while yet others are very hard to bring to a boil. I wonder why Steel was chosen and not simply Metal-type or Ore-type. ^^ I suppose because it would be a metal that's weak to Fire-type, seeing how it melts as early as around 1,425 °C or 2,600 °F... wait. So THAT's weak to fire?! In that case, almost every type should be weak to fire, because we're dealing with magma temperatures! XD We should rename it to Tin- or Lead-type, that would explain it better, seeing how those melt much faster. ;)
Ice-type. Okay, so we have Water-type, but cooled down to be its own type? So in that case... if we heated up Water-type... we'd get Steam- or Gas-type? I mean we're literally talking about frozen water here, not the Cold-type. Though on the subject of Ice-type, it should technically turn into Water-type when hit by a Fire-type move, seeing how ice is just the frozen/solid state of water, am I right?
What's next... Well, I heard several people complain about Fairy-type but not about Dragon-type. Why is that? Are dragons not from fairy tales? They're basically the evil Fairy-type to me. Also there are so many more things in fairytales than dragons and fairies. Or since we're talking about mythos and tales told by people a long time ago, why not include Greek mythology? Have a Medusa- or Herculeus-type or something while you're at it. ;P
Ground- and Flying-type. So it being able to dig or fly adds a new type to it? Maybe the moves, but the Pokémon? Are wings so much less resistant to electricity? To be honest, I'd rather hear others opinions on what they think of those two types. ^^
Normal-type: Weak to Fighting, unaffected by ghosts, ah. I always thought that Normal-type refers to animals and humans. ^^ So... we're barely affected by hypothermia, hyperthermia, drowning, high altitude drops, being crushed by steel or rock, or get shocked by electricity? Well, Ash sure doesn't seem very affected by being electrocuted by Pikachu or burned by a Charizard, so I guess it must be true. =D
It's not like our bodies have maybe 100 kΩ - 1MΩ of resistance to electricity and we get killed by 100mA. ^^ Or that we get blisters and degree burns from getting in contact with fire, or that we need air and will most certainly drown in water, or that our bones can be crushed by hard objects. ^^
Good thing us Normal-types only have Karate teachers to worry about! ^-^
