✒️ Character Creation Monthly Event ✒️
Hello there! Another month, another small prompt to create a character from - if this is your first time here, the event is quite simple: just create a character that fits the prompt, share it in here, and feel proud of your creation! Even if you don't have time to play as this character in a full story or roleplay.
December is a month full of festivities and excitement, so let's just get this over with:
This month's prompt is… "Festivities!"
Thought I'd leave you hanging like that? Nah, let's actually delve into this a bit. Now, festivities seem nice and all, but everyone tackles these events in a different way. There's people who celebrate Christmas and New Year's Day around this time of the year, but there's also people who don't, and may celebrate a different recurrence at a later date (think of the Chinese New Year). There's also people who celebrate Christmas in Winter, and people who celebrate it in Summer, so the snow and the hot chocolate is another thing that you may go without as you create your character! And of course, there's people who love these festivities, and people who... don't really like it for a variety of reasons (that's valid, by the way. I can understand the struggle!)
At the end of the day, what's left of this prompt is... any character whose life is affected by some kind of important festivity. And that should give lots of freedom should you try to create a character now! Think about the possibilities...
Maybe your character is a shop assistant in a clothing boutique, who has to work overtime during Christmas time but feels highly rewarded by knowing the things they're selling will make someone's day when those people find them inside a gift! Or maybe, your character is a Pokémon trainer who participates in worship rites dedicated to a certain Legendary Pokémon, and helps with setting up a large celebration for an entire village to enjoy. Maybe your character is one of Santa Claus's elves, who waits for the entire year just for this moment, or maybe they're some sort of Grinch when it comes to this stuff. Anything is possible!
