I want to make a loveable pokemon trainer oc.. I can draw and I will do that. I just need advice, tips, etc. And DM me if you wanna help me advance further!

I'd argue you don't even need artistic skills to make OCs. I know plenty of people who have no artistic skills or commissions of their OCs, but still manage to make them really detailed and descriptive.
