Presumably, I think there will still be a pokemon daycare for storing pokemon and possibly make eggs, hosted by a man and his wife, but, would you in anyway change the current day care system for pokemon X&Y? If you do, what would you change in order for the pokemon daycare to be improved?

Quite simply, be able to have more than one couple of Pokemon be able to breed at once. Maybe have it set up kind of like the PC, where you have a certain amount of slots and each slot holds one couple?

I can't think of anything that could be improved on, really. They run smoothly so eh. I was gonna say maybe raise the exp Pokemon gain in there, but who uses it for training anyway? XD And that'd mess up your level 1 Pokemon if you're breeding one and lose an egg move or something potentially so yeah, don't wanna increase exp.

Perhaps giving them Pokemon via the PC to raise? That would be convenient I think. :)

I think the Pokémon Daycare has been fine as it is with how it raises Pokémon and all that. I wouldn't prefer to see any changes to the daycare, since it already has the basics of Pokémon Breeding as well as making Pokémon gain experience.

Though it would be nice to see more different breeding patterns, such as Pokémon only obtainable through breeding. ;)

I would make it so that you can go inside and interact with your pokemon in the daycare enclosure. In fact, while your doing so, if youre pokemon were compatible YOU could go in and find the egg(optional, but if you do the hatched pokemon could be really special). If not the daycare guy will give you the egg directly.

I think X & Y will include some kind of enhancement due to everyone noticing the DNA strands in the logo. Makes me think that breeding will have either a bigger part to play or just be improved in some way - though I can't see any ways they could do this.

Breeding is one of my favourite parts in the game, possibly being able to breed more than 1 at a time but I wouldn't mind if it didn't change at all :)

So basically you want to get all up in the middle of their mating time?

I'm probably thinking that hybrid breeding might be a large role in the Pokémon Daycares in Pokémon X and Y. 'Cause there might be Pokémon that could only be obtained through hybrid breeding. ;)

I'm not here to judge. People have to have their hobbies.

Definitely needs to be added, it's not a huge inconvenience, but I agree.

Otherwise, I had an idea about Pokemon that go into the daycare together will gain higher stats during double battles, but it's a little out there. I'd definitely like to see some breed only Pokemon, that you can only get at random, it'd be annoying, but maybe give them higher stats? Also, I think being able to have Pokemon produce random eggs with other Pokemon if you haven't placed two Pokemon in the daycare. For example, I put in a Froakie, and the game will breed Froakie with random Pokemon (Clocked based events.) If no Pokemon was in the same egg group as Froakie during that time, I wouldn't get any eggs. The only flaw with this idea is that you'd be able to breed any Pokemon at will, instead of having to have two (or Ditto.), but most Pokemon aren't that rare anyways, and this could be solved by moving the daycare farther away from the starting town, because no one uses it for training anyways. Additionally, it would be cool to have a HUGE daycare center in this region (Again, placed in a later area.) where you could enter, and chat with trainers, have battles, play with Pokemon, and maybe have some mini games, as well as find special items like berries at certain times, or based on what Pokemon you have in the daycare, and maybe even have a Safari Zone type area, separate from the daycare, of course. (It's been awhile since we've seen one of those.) Maybe your Pokemon could learn different moves based on how much and when you interact with them in the daycare, and if you entered the daycare, you would be notified when your Pokemon is leveling up, wants to learn a new move, etc. What if new Pokemon in the region had different evolutions (Similar to Eevee.) that where determined by your interaction with them in the daycare... This may sound really unlikely, but we know very little yet, who knows, and with the whole grand, gigantic, theme of things that we've seen so far in X and Y, it might be a possibility.

Whatever, let me know what you think :D I kinda wrote a book here so...

I agree entirelyyy. I'd love to get into the daycare and spend time with the Pokemon :3 I mean it's like real-life daycare, except with mating! You should be able to visit your Pokemon and play little games with them, although I'm not sure what games in particular would be viable.

A few random thoughts:

More than two pokemon at a time.
If a pokemon levels up and can learn a new move, day care should call (maybe they already do? Don't want to risk it so I haven't tested it) and get player's input
Possibly giving the Ditto behavior to anything that knows Transform?

I wouldn't change much of anything from past gens. Really, the only thing that was lacking in BW was that the straight path in front of the day care was a bit too short - you need more room to ride back and forth waiting for eggs, like in RSE or DPPt. Other than that though, I liked everything about the one in BW, and especially the fact that the old man actually calls out to you and stops you, so you no longer have to watch him to see if he steps forward.

Daycare Center

In every generation, we've had an establishment known as the Pokemon Daycare where we can drop off a Pokemon and allow it to accrue Experience as we traveled. There's also the added feature, in Gen II and beyond, of having two Pokemon in the Daycare so that they may breed and produce offspring.

What do you hope to see concerning the Daycare in Gen VI? Would you like more of an interactive component, or would you rather things be left untouched?

Personally, I'd love for the Daycare to be run by your mother, or even be inherited by you so that you can actually interact with the Pokemon you leave there. That could add an entirely new dimension to the raising of Pokemon!

Imagine being able to leave not one, not two, but up to six Pokemon in the Daycare Center and then being able to train those Pokemon using special equipment and such that you can purchase in-game? You'd even be able to leave your Pokemon there and assign exercises for them to participate in when you're not at the Daycare yourself! As far as breeding, there could be a special item or structure you can purchase where two of your six Pokemon can be deposited in order to produce an Egg. Obviously, the Pokemon would have to be compatible. And, as for Eggs themselves, you can buy an incubator (Or even a portable one) in order to hatch the Eggs faster!

Thoughts? Ideas?

I like a lot of your ideas, though being able to interact with the pokémon you leave in is by far my favourite. I always found it so frustrating to see all the super cute pokémon running around the daycare and not being able to interact with them :(

You have an interesting idea RedWing, as a breeder myself i would like to interact/own the daycare myself, but i would also like to keep things the classy way.

All I want them to do is streamline the process of taking out Pokemon from the daycare. i.e. don't make me go to the PC, deposit a pokemon, take one out of daycare, deposit it, and then withdraw the other Pokemon again. Just let us withdraw from daycare directly into the PC, or even swap the Pokemon in our party with the one we're taking out of daycare. The way it's setup now is archaic.
