    Anime characters or maybe just shonen but they like to point out the obvious 99% of the time. I don't know if its a Japanese thing or?

    "He jumped in the air!" Or "That attack is dangerous"

    This also happens in some anime/manga where they have a slapstick style, straight man/funny man humor, which I personally do not find funny maybe because it doesn't translate well in english.

    Funnily enough I've caught on to this habit on accident, and sometimes point out the obvious and make myself look like a Sherlock.

      I would say a mix between emphasis and the fact that it's not always super obvious what's happening in manga panels.
