Xylo is very short and thin; he looks like 10 rather than 12, something he is quite malcontent with. His looks have been called a bit girly since he looks very cute rather than like a cool guy and this is something he
used to hate but has begun to try and try to use to his advantage.
For cloting, Xylo has most often worn what his parents have told him to wear, which is rather elegant and refined clothing such as buttoned shirts, vests and "proper" pants rather than jeans and cargo pants. To the island, he brought some more leisure-like clothing like college shirts and shorts, but they are all still of the expensive and stylish kind. He likes simple color schemes like black and white or two other not too screaming colors. People who dress in too much color look like clowns, he says.
Personality: Xylo tries to act polite and elegant, easily charming grown ups with his appearance. But he's still a child and that side of him often breaks through his outer personality. He is actually easily annoyed with things and rather impatient. At the same time, he doesn't like to have to do tiresome stuff by his own; that's for servants or pokémon to do! Or people who really care.
He is quite indecisive and every time he has to make a decision, there's a chance that he'll become nervous and even panic. The exception seems to be in pokémon battles, where Xylo trusts his two strongest pokémon Duke and Monk and seems to be in unison with them. He is not the best battler though, as he sometimes fails to see obvious things or forgets about type advantages or defense. That, along with that he was never the brightest mind in school since he didn't have the patience to learn stuff thoroughly, made him just barely pass the entrance tests to the Pokémon Trainer Academy and get placed in the Raikou Dorm.
History: Xylophone grew up in Vermilion City, Kanto. His family name was Oracion, meaning 'prayer', and his parents loved music and named him after their favorite instruments. Unfortunately for them, it seemed like Xylo neither liked to sing or play instruments when he grew older. He didn't like school much either, even though his rich family had since long consisted of well educated scholars and artists. What he seemed to be interested in from an early age was pokémon. He got some innocent and harmless pokémon pets when he started school, but after some years he started pitting them against each other in battles instead of just playing with them. His parents were angry with him for that and took the pets away.
His grandmother talked to Xylo's parents though, and reminded them of that her father had been a famous trainer in his days. Every third generation or so, there seemed to be born a free spirit into the Oracion family, someone who was destined to become a friend to pokémon rather than to immerse themselves in the affairs of humans. Whether or not Xylo's parents believed this, they weren't mean people and realized that the most important thing should be to give Xylo a happy life. So they let him go out and catch his first pokémon, saying that if he succeeded, they would let him become a pokémon trainer.
Xylo captured a Caterpie. He then trained and captured some more and started traveling to the towns around Vermilion. He had a hard time figuring out what kind of trainer he wanted to be and what pokémon he wanted to train on a team. Then he got the opportunity to enroll at the Academy and did so. He barely got in, much to his chagrin, but he traveled there, finally having decided on taking only three - very different - pokémon with him.

Nickname: Princess
Personality: Princess is very naive and kind but unexpectedly brave... though that may be because she doesn't understand what's going on around her at all times. She enjoys snuggling up to Xylo rather than battling. Princess' wings have 3 black dots on them in seemingly random places, which makes it easy for Xylo to identify her.

Nickname: Duke
Personality: Fearless and swift with a head-on battle style. He loves his own electricity more than most other things, except perhaps a good meal. He also loves when Xylo praises him and always tries to make sure that Monk sees it and becomes jealous. Duke's skin appears to have a slightly darker and more golden color than on the common Elekid.

Personality: Calm and smart, thinks before acting. Enjoys devising clever battle plans and tricks rather than to go full out with his power. He appears to dislike when Xylo shows affection for him, but in reality he likes his trainer quite a lot. Magby's skin seems to have a slightly darker and paler color than on an usual Magby.
