I have a system update for Aura users.

Aura sensitive individuals have access to their normal move pool.

Their next level of training allows them to access Aura Techniques.

They begin with their own type and branch out from there within the categories under which they fall. For example a Water Type Aura-User learns every Water Technique for the Hydric Category. A Water/Grass Type Aura-User learns every Water from the Hydric Category and then with extra training learns every Grass Technique from the Energy Category.

After that they branch into their home categories one type at a time, learning the technique of types that they are not. For example, the Water/Grass Type Aura-User can learn Dragon Techniques from the Energy Category as long as they have mastered grass techniques.

Once an Aura-User has mastered all techniques of a category they belong to they can branch out and learn from another category but not a category in opposition to their type's category. For example a Water/Grass type Aura-User learns from the two categories of Hydric and Energy. They are unable to learn techniques from the Earthen and Beastial categories because of the opposition within the Aura. If they wish to learn from a third category then they must choose either Light or Dark.

An Aura-User with types in opposing categories is an exception. For example a Fairy/Ghost individual learns from the Light and Dark categories but can pick up Hydric, Beastial, Energy, or Earthen as a third category.

Three categories is the limit, an individual is unable to learn additional techniques at that point. Thus a pokemon's own move pool should be considered as there are a few moves which can belong to a category they haven't mastered.

Light
- Fairy
-- Play Rough, Fairy Wind, Moonlight
- Psychic
-- Psycho Cut, Extrasensory, Hypnosis

----------

Hydric (Liquid)
- Water
-- Dive, Scald, Rain Dance
- Ice
-- Ice Shard, Icy Wind, Hail
- Poison
-- Cross Poison, Venoshock, Toxic

Beastial (Conscious)
- Normal
-- Bide, Swift, Mimic
- Fighting
-- Mach Punch, Aura Sphere, Detect
- Flying
-- Fly, Air Cutter, Tailwind
- Bug
-- Fury Cutter, Signal Beam, Spider Web

Energy (Subconscious)
- Grass
-- Leaf Blade, Energy Ball, Spore
- Electric
-- Spark, Thunderbolt, Thunderwave
- Dragon
-- Dragon Claw, Dragon Pulse, Dragon Dance
- Fire
-- Flame Charge, Flamethrower, Sunny Day

Earthen (Solid)
- Ground
-- Dig, Earth Power, Spikes
- Rock
-- Stone Edge, Power Gem, Sandstorm
- Steel
-- Steel Wing, Mirror Shot, Iron Defense

----------

Dark
- Dark
-- Night Slash, Dark Pulse, Taunt
- Ghost
-- Shadow Sneak, Night Shade, Curse

General Techniques that are frequently used by all Aura-Users.
- Strength, Hidden Power, Telekinesis

A battle between Aura-Users comes down to two attributes: technique type and mastery of the technique.

Identify the power of your technique by examining how it relates to you.
Techniques of your move pool: +1
Techniques of your type: +1
Specific Techniques of a Category you have fully mastered: +1
Specific Techniques of your type of a Category you have fully mastered: +1
Techniques of an Opposing Category: -1

For example lets use Kadabra's Move Pool assuming they have mastered the Light Category.

- Move Pool
Confusion: 2
Psybeam: 2
Psycho Cut: 4
Psychic: 2
Future Sight: 2
- Category Techniques
Extrasensory: 3
Play Rough: 1
Fairy Wind: 1

If Kadabra knew Knock Off as an Egg move then it would belong to his move pool but be from an opposing category.
Thus it would have a power of 0.

During combat there are a couple extra benefits that are situational.

The Technique's Type is super effective on the target: +1/+2
The Technique's Type is not very Effective on the target: -1/-2
The Technique's Type is not effective on the target: x0.

Under the right circumstances Kadabra's 0 power Knock Off gains a situational power of 1 or 2 depending on the target. Kadabra's strongest moves is Psycho Cut which has a power of 4. In the right circumstances it can have a power of 6... but against the wrong enemy it's power is 0.

When two Aura-Users fight there is potential for a clash which is when the power of techniques is equal. That is when the technique's power according to the pokemon games is checked. The Technique with the higher move power overcomes. If for some reason that is equal, then it comes down to the base stats of the pokemon. If for some reason that is equal to then it comes down to speed. And if for some god awful reason twins are fighting each other then a coin is flipped.

Next is the update on weapons.

Ray guns, laser beams, energy cannons, and light sabers all use a kind of energy that correlates to the Aura but by default not to any single type in particular. So you categorize a weapon's damage by its category.

Hydric Weapons are liquid state like plasma. Energy Weapons are raw and chaotic. Beastial Weapons are simple and stable. Earthen Weapons are very solid but still an energy.

Light and Dark cannot be harvested for weapon energy. Or at least there is no method of doing so without using the Aura.

Opposing categories are weak to each other, neutral categories do not effect damage, but the same category is not very effective against itself.

That being said when a weapon is used on someone it considers their type's category for effectiveness rather than an individual type. If you get hit by a weapon without any protection you're probably going to be gravely injured even if the category was the same type.

Shielding is a method of dampening the energy being used in weapons. It can take the form of unique materials or a force field to protect an area around a generator.

The power of a weapon is ranked in tiers the same for shielding. Tiers cancel out each other thus shielding of the highest level is effective in every battle with the exception of its opposing category which will still do minimum damage to structures.

A ships fire power and shielding generally follow the size of the craft.

Single pilot ships are Tier 2 in both firepower and shielding while individual weapons and shields are Tier 1.

Large crafts like Star Destroyers have tier 4 firepower and tier 3 shielding which is among the strongest in the galaxy as far as battle cruisers are concerned. Rebel Battle cruisers offer a worthy fight with tier 3 Fire power and tier 4 shielding. Battles like that often fall to whomever has the advantage in damage category.

The Death Pokestar is a structure entirely devoted to devastating whole planets with its tier 10 firepower but sorely lacks major defenses with Tier 2 Shielding. It requires ground based force fields to emit extra shielding which is often at tier 5 depending on the structure built on the surface of a planet or moon. This prevents Rebel battle cruisers from direct attacks.

Crafts can have multiple types of damage categories for firepower and shielding but switching between these types is impossible during battle. Thus it is essential for an army that they are using effective weapons against their enemies. Catching them before they have shielding up or while they have a disadvantaged shield attuned can cripple them and win what would normally be an impossible battle.

As one of the smugglers on the Rebel payroll, Kip will deliver the weapon shipment to Ten Catarat. Just load them onto the Blossom and we'll be on our way!

Millennium Blossom

Kip Dionaea's beloved ship, more home to him than his own planet, his primary means of conveyance and employment.

A fast ship, but lightly armed, Kip's service in the Alliance has granted him access to their technology, granting it enhanced shielding for such a small vessel. The Blossom boasts tier 4 shielding, usually keyed to Earthen energy. These powerful shields can survive most impacts, even allowing the Blossom to survive short trips through asteroid fields, as long as there isn't a head on collision.

The weapons systems are less impressive, tier 2 at best. A twin laser cannon under the nose provides a minor Energy weapon, but it's more of an afterthought than a primary weapon. And while Kip would hesitate to call them weapons, the Blossom is equipped with a pair of magnetic grapple launchers, designed for towing vessels or cargo. Similarly, there is a magnetic clamp on the underside of the ship.

The Blossom has an enhanced main engine, with a class 0.7 hyperdrive system. The twin secondary engines allow it to travel at supersonic speeds without engaging the main engine, and can operate on impulse power for stealth.

Other equipment includes a subsonic scrambler (which masks the ship's energy signals and makes it invisible to detection as long as the main engine is offline), 6 self-powered transmitter buoys (useful for marking locations, boosting a radio signal, or attracting missiles), and an external speaker (for delivering messages to ground based units, or just pumping out jams).

Brief History

Originally a Hornet-class light freighter, the Blossom started out as a passenger transport before being modified into a cargo hauler, including hidden smuggling compartments. As the ship changed hands, owners and pilots continued to modify the ship, culminating in an engineering student using the ship to test his new designs. Unfortunately, the cutting edge technology had a habit of breaking down or otherwise failing, leading to the ship being sold for parts. The dealer, however, knew that while the parts themselves may be subpar, Hornets had a reputation for resilience, and would fly forever if partnered with a halfway competent mechanic.

That halfway competent mechanic turned out to be Kip Dionaea, a self-taught pilot who fell in love with the ship the moment he saw it. He named it the Millennium Blossom after a rare species of flower on his home planet of Pastoria, symbolic of how something this beautiful only came about once every hundred years.

Layout
Spoiler:

The Blossom measures 82 meters from aft to stern, with the cockpit located at the front. Originally designed for one pilot and a copilot/gunner, Kip's modifications allowed the ship to be piloted by a single pilot, with a secondary control console located behind for emergencies, or if he wanted a navigator.

The ship has quarters for 3: the captain's quarters near the cockpit, and two dorms for crew or passengers located off the common area. The common area itself contains a small kitchen and dining area, along with a sofa, two chairs near a card table, and and an air hockey table that stows away in the floor.

Equipped with both port and starboard docking rings, the Blossom can be accessed from either airlock. Both lead to the cargo bay, which has three levels connected by stairs and catwalks. The bottom floor is the access level, where cargo is stored. The second level connects to the common area and the engine room, while the third level connects to the dorsal pod.

Spoiler:

The pod is actually a small, short range vehicle capable of flying in both space and atmosphere. Kip affectionately refers to it as the Spore. Primarily used when landing the Blossom itself would be impractical, it can also serve as a makeshift escape pod, dorm room, or cargo space. The life support is designed to handle up to four passengers, and the Spore is capable of breaking atmosphere under its own power, though it lacks hyperspace capabilities or offensive weaponry. It possesses tier 2 shields.

Here he FINALLY is: introducing Darth Kane!

Name: Aramis Orious / Darth Kane

Allegiance: Though he mainly pursues his own goals, Kane is aligned with the Empire.

Description:
600JovO.png

Takeover by Spiritomb left Aramis physically altered, taking on the Ghost and Dark types of his possessor, as well as changing his appearance. His hair constantly swirls, also akin to a Spiritomb.

<><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><><>

Aramis was born to a very simple yet happy life on the Solaceon moon of the Sinnoh system. His parents were farmers, a life he soon joined in. As comfortable as that life was, though, Aramis couldn?t help but feel he was destined for more. As he grew, it became apparent that he was exceptionally gifted with the Aura--a fact that his parents kept hidden for fear that the Empire might take and mould him while he was still so impressionable.

It was no secret to anyone in their village that Aramis? parents were staunch supporters of the rebellion; in fact most of the residents of the small moon were. Thankfully the Empire never resorted to violence, so long as their subjects didn?t. They did, however, impose ever increasing taxes and levies as the years went by, which only increased tension. This tension finally snapped when the newest laws were passed down to the now rather impoverished moon: anyone that could not pay all outstanding debts would be imprisoned, their farms seized by the Empire.

The residents of Solaceon, left with nothing to lose, finally struck back. All around the moon, an armed rebellion began, forcing the Empire to withdraw, however temporarily. It was a day of victory for the small moon, finally shaking free of the Empire?s iron grip.

However this celebration was short-lived. It didn?t take long for the Empire to strike back, harder than ever before. Aramis? parents left as soon as they heard the news of the Empire?s return; Aramis was left at home with the others too weak or too young to fight. It was the last time he ever saw them. He was told they died fighting to the end, hand in hand.

Aramis was left devastated, alone, scared. It was then that Edan Bipachi, an old Dragonite that had been around as long as Aramis or his parents could remember, approached him, offering his home to the now orphan. Left with no other option, Aramis accepted--with no clue of what was ahead of him.

For once they arrived at Edan?s hut outside town, the old man told Aramis everything: he was one of the few remaining Medi left in hiding, an ancient order committed to mastering the Aura and using it for good. He explained that he?d been keeping an eye on Aramis ever since he first sensed Aramis? growing power, and of an old prophecy about a young Aura user who would rise from nothing to bring the galaxy back into balance. Edan believed Aramis to be the subject of this prophecy.

For the next year, Edan helped Aramis hone his abilities, and tap into the Aura. One day in particular, Edan led Aramis into the nearby mountains, to a certain cave in particular. They spent the day there training, and upon nightfall set up to sleep.

The next morning, Aramis found himself alone, the cave dark. Where there once was an opening, there was now a large boulder, with barely enough room around to let light in. In front of him was a small pack with a note on top. The pack was filled with barely enough food for one meal, the note telling him what he already had guessed. This was a test by Edan: he had one day to move the boulder, or Edan would not continue training him. Left with no other options, Aramis got to work.

It was an indeterminable amount of time spent pushing and prodding the rock, both physically and mentally, before Aramis resigned to his fate. He wasn?t going to be able to move the rock. He wasn?t going to be able to train as a Medi, he wasn?t going to be able to avenge his parent?s deaths? It was in this brief moment of weakness that he first heard the voice.

The rock isn?t small enough to fit there on its own, it said. It all suddenly made sense. Edan hadn?t wanted him to fail after all! He had sent this one hint to help him succeed. Aramis reached out with his mind, past the rock, out of the cave? Sure enough there were smaller rocks holding the large one in place. It wouldn?t be easy, but they were certainly more manageable than the boulder. He began pushing, harder, harder still. One of the rocks shifted. Harder, even harder. The foundation began grinding against the weight of the boulder. So close, just a bit harder? Suddenly his body surged with a power Aramis hadn?t felt before. The rocks suddenly felt weightless as he forced them away, and the boulder rolled free in a spray of gravel. The light revealed two things: a startled Edan looking at Aramis with a confused expression, and Aramis? new, evolved body.

A few hours and a large meal later, and Edan had explained everything to Aramis. The test hadn?t been meant to make Aramis actually move the boulder. In fact, Aramis shouldn?t have been able to at his previous strength, according to Edan. The test was mostly to see how Aramis would respond to failure. Given that Aramis had actually completed the test, Edan was only more convinced in the prophecy.

The next several years saw Aramis grow even more, nearly surpassing Edan in ability. Strangely enough, Edan had no explanation for the voice Aramis had heard that day, and every now and again he still heard it. While deep in meditation one day, Aramis heard the voice once more, yet this time he managed to talk back. The resulting conversation had the voice explain that it was a guide sent by the Aura, as he was the chosen Medi. Aramis needed only listen to this guide, it told him, and he would be able to destroy the Empire that had killed his parents. Aramis was immediately perturbed. He had believed he had left those feelings of anger and vengeance behind him. Why would a guide sent by the Aura steer him back toward them? He decided to bring this new discovery up with Edan.

The Dragonite again had no explanation for Aramis. He did suggest that Aramis avoid this ?guide? from then on, if possible, however. He explained how that while the Aura may seem like a benevolent force, there is always an opposite, where there are those who twisted the Aura to their dark needs.

The guide returned later the next day. It spoke of Edan being old, misguided. The Aura was only evil if used for evil, which the chosen Medi couldn't be capable of. To say Aramis was confused by this was an understatement. After many hours reflecting on this, Aramis came to the conclusion that he would trust that which he knew, which was Edan?s wisdom.

The ?guide? was not a fan of this decision. Aramis had been the only one it had managed to get a foothold within the last century at least? For the voice was in fact the remnants of an ancient evil adrift in the Aura. Seeing that delay would only make this opportunity slip away, the voice risked complete decimation and forced himself in.

Aramis was only dimly aware of the voice?s presence before it hit him like a tidal wave. Hundreds of voices all at once, trying to overcome Aramis. The Kirlia was helpless before the sudden influx of Aura, and blacked out.

When Aramis next woke, he found he had been changed again--he no longer felt his connection to the Aura, and he looked completely different. Almost like he had evolved, but everything was wrong. And his head was suddenly full of voices. Urging him to reach for the Aura in a different way than he?d ever before. He felt his mind involuntarily pull and force the Aura, bending it to his will rather than channeling the Aura?s will. He suddenly felt so much more powerful than ever before.

Then he felt his body moving. He couldn?t stop it. He moved out to where Edan was sitting in his morning meditation. He felt the Dragonite tense in fear as he felt Aramis? presence. Aramis tried to speak up, to let him know? No words came out as he felt his body bend the Aura to grab Edan?s lightsaber. In an instant, Aramis had done the unthinkable. He fell to his knees has he regained control of his body. Once again, he was left with nothing, and all he could hear was the laughter of a hundred voices.

Then silence.

Then in unison the voices said: You are us now.

And in an instant Aramis was no more than one of the many voices that called themselves Darth Kane.

Skills and Abilities: Telekinesis- Kane exhibits powerful control over telekinetic use of the Aura--to the point where it is his primary fighting ability. He primarily uses it to wield his dual sabers, and can comfortably float a few inches above the ground under his own power.

Shadow Sneak- Kane can utilize his ghostly form to teleport short distances.

Connections: Kane was once a nearly unstoppable Sith lord. Killed by the Medi and being adrift in the Aura for such a long time has greatly diminished his power, but he still harbors a resentment for any users of the Light Aura.

Name: Rosebud/Rosie Strife

Allegiance: Formerly Unaligned, but Alliance after a certain point. She's the escaped prized possession of an Empire supporter that has a large collection of rarities.

Description: This gal is an unusual pink Lopunny. Other than that she's completely normal.

Backstory: Rosie was born and raised in the Sinnoh system under the Empire's iron grip on the Snowpoint Moon. Her planet was very cold and snowy, not really fit for much farming. However it was ripe with hunting game and technology. New inventions were being dropped out into the market each year and made available for sale, and the hunting was rich. Many species of pokemon made their home here, and rich patrons flocked from far and wide to participate in the hunt. Rosie was born with bright pink replacing the usual white of her kind. An oddity in her small community of about 50 different pokemon. Some thought the different coloration a blessing of luck to the community, and others thought it was a curse.

Rosie's mother also gave birth to a Riolu at the same time, only he was the first one to breathe the air around him. She called him Cloud, because he was always looking upward towards the mainly grey sky.

Rosie was lovingly raised for a few years with her brother Cloud. Cloud was different from her in the fact that he had a natural talent for Aura. One day, the Empire came to extract the taxes and saw Cloud's Aura talent. The young Rilou was taken away from the home in exchange for no taxes being brought on the familly for many years, as long as the Rilou stayed alive. Rosie was distraught over the loss of her brother and tried to fight back, but to no avail. The evolved pokemon were much too strong for her to handle, and she fell unconscious after being thrown into a wall.

When she woke up, she was in mommy's lap. Her mother singing a soft lullaby to her as she bandaged her wounds and made her favorite soup. But nothing could replace her brother. She cried for days on end every night, wishing that she was the one who was taken away so Cloud could live safely. She kept these thoughts hidden from her mother, who would most likely worry over her health.

Another few months passed, and Rosie had started to learn how to fight on her own. She practiced constantly when mommy wasn't looking, and soon her mother took notice of Rosie's practicing. She would often come home with bruised knuckles and feet, making her mother think.

The next morning, Rosie's mother offered to train her in the ways of martial arts. This surprised the young buneary, as she never knew mommy could fight! She accepted her mother's offer and training began. Rosie learned more than just how to fight, she also learned survival skills and how to find edible food. She was taught how to read and write as well, making her much more educated than most of the other children in the village.

Misfortune would again strike on the smaller family's door, as the Empire came to collect the taxes for this year. Cloud had perished while trying to harness his Aura, and this time Rosie would be taken away for being what the collectors called a Shiny. There were pokemon out there that would give anything to have a Shiny pokemon in their collection. and the Empire was always up for getting more money.

Rosie fought back a hard as she could using what her mother taught her, and this time her mother fought as well. The Lopunny had already lost one child, and she would be damned if she lost another. She used skills not ever seen before by the attacking mons and nearly defeated the pokemon associating themselves with the empire.

However she was defeated and killed by one of the mons she had thought was dead. Stabbed through her back, the mother Lopunny wished her well. Then the light drained from her eyes and she died. Rosie fought against her own abduction. She felt filled with such power and rage... By the time she was thrown into a cell inside of the ship that would be transporting her, she realized that everything was closer to her height.

During the fight she had evolved into a Lopunny,

But now she was just some collector's pet.

Rosie was sold to an avid Empire supported with a large collection of rarities. He was happy to have a beautiful shiny added to his collection.

Years of living as a pet chained to the side of her master, Rosie had enough of her living situation and truly fought for the first time. The guards stood no chance of retaliating, and Rosie escaped the planet. Her former master was FURIOUS, and sent out wanted ads that depicted a large sum of money for her return. Rosie knew that staying in the Sinnoh system would mean returning to the collector, so she fled to the Hoenn system to avoid detection and recapture. It was there, while she was bar tending in some slum bar that she heard of the Alliance. This peaked her interest, and as she got the food for what could be alliance members or supporters, she quietly stated interest in joining the Alliance.

She got lucky. The mons at the table were members of the alliance!

They took her in, and Rosie had never been a part of any family like this since her mother and brother died that was this loving to their members. Rosie was taught how to use a pistol and other techno gadgets. Some even hailed form her home planet in the Sinnoh System. Those were the ones she was most familiar with. Except for the weapons, which her mother never allowed her to have she is very technologically savvy.

Rosie now does programming for auto piloted ships and drones that the alliance sends out. Her code is to immediately delete itself upon the ship being intercepted by the empire or bounty hunters and self-destruct, but help the alliance by giving only other machines with the same code access to the drones data.

Skills and Abilities: Rosie is very good at programming after the Alliance taught her how to do it. She is also good at close range fighting

Connections: Although she has no direct blood relations that she is aware of, Rosie has made fast friends with Princess Ledia.

Oh. I hadn't notice it, or I forgot it.

By the way, should my part in a chapter be in a single post, or can I post more than once per chapter?
Sorry for the question, it's my first time RPing/playing

@Piloswine: If it's too much for one post, I'd think it'd be perfectly fine to split it up. Just be sure to not double post.

I'll have Jenny go on the Ambush the Emperor mission; seems like the place the Rebellion would want an X-wing squadron. Kane will be doing his own thing this week, I want to set up some stuff for the future.

Totally fine to split your chapter into many posts. :) as long as it's not developing the mission too quickly without having spaced out important events.

I don't know if it's too late to add a character, but I have an idea for one. I hope he can fit in somewhere
Name: Kryle Maro (Marowak)
Allegiance: Not Affiliated
Description: Kryle is a rare from of Marowak, being the last known member of his kind. Darth Lucar laid waste to his planet, killing everyone else. Kryle lives alone, trying to piece together a semi-suitable ship to leave his planet. Parts of his skull have been mechanically replaced, as he was wounded during Darth Lucar's desolation of his home.
Skills/Abilities: His main weapon is a Crossbone. It shoots energy-based projectiles, and is shaped like a crossbow, but made with bone-like material. His other weapon is a long bone that can channel Aura at its ends.
Connections: Darth Lucar ravaged his planet, so Kryle seeks revenge.

It is about five months too late, unfortunately. You could start a new Star Wars/Pokemon inspired RP if you think it sounds fun!
