Side Character WIP

Name: Chloe Quick

Age: 18

Gender: Female

Race: Human

Personality:

Chloe has been described very differently by different people. It really depends on in which mood you get here. People from her town describe her as arrogant, distant and cold. Her childhood mentor has described her as driven and intelligent. Her one hundred percent, no doubt about it, ex-best friend would describe her as "A nuclear ***** that doesn't deserve any oxygen."

Chloe is extremely good at picking out people their emotional weak spots, and uses them in conversation without even thinking about it. Because having people dislike you and be mean to you is tiring, she tends to just keep her mouth shut. She dislikes making enemies as much as making friends, which is a lot, and if you don't show emotion, hopefully nobody is going to lean either way. This cold exterior is accentuated by the fact that Chloe never lets her emotions get the best of her. She'll lash out verbally, or worse, she'll lose control over her semblance and might hurt someone really badly.

Chloe doesn't take others in consideration too much besides not trying to kill them every breathing moment of their lives. She's fairly self-centered and does not take other people's well being in mind when outside of combat. Her actions are purely focused on what benefits hers. This is especially true in combat. While she keeps her power in check to not hurt others herself, if she's in danger, she prioritizes her own safety above all else.

Her intelligence mainly stems from her ability to focus really well. Her semblance control requires immense focus, and this leaks out into other facets of her life. She can tune out outside stimuli, and just focus on one thing really intensely, be it the test she's making, or coming up with the *****iest ****ing instult you've ever heard.

Appearance:

Chloe is black, and has long black hair. It's braided into a lot of different strains, and she usually wears it in a pony tail. The sides of her head are kept shorter.

One thing that sets her apart from her peers are her eyes. Chloe posses a set of deep purple lookers, that are even more set apart by the fact that she has relatively big eyes. Her face has small, sharp features for the most part. Possesing a small nose and a jawline that could through steel.

Chloe is visibly strong. Being tall, standing at 1.86, combined with her clearly visible muscles make her very imposing. She usually wears baggy jeans with a loose tanktop.

Semblance: Quicksilver Control

- can solidify mercury while controlling it
- mercury isn't poisonous under her control, at the lower levels.
- Can't bend it like waterbenders in avatar.

Weapon: Empty hilt, name in progress.

- synergizes with semblance
- doesn't have any cool abilities on its own
- is not a gun
- no, really it is not a gun
- Yeah, I didn't believe it either when I came up with it, but no it's not a gun.

Rollen Hugo

M | 24 y.o | Human

Personality: Rollen Hugo, despite his age, is already a well-learned individual. He was born to families of a rich history, both figuratively and literally. When he was a child, he was taught all the basics to becoming a respectable gentleman by his father. He was thought how to fence, how to cook, how to drive, and how to fight hand-to-hand. His mother, on the other hand, taught him about history and culture. He was taught about the basics and relationship of Dust and Semblances. The fight between the human race and the Grimms were also tackled. Basically, unlike other rich snoots, his parents brought Rollen up to become an independent man.

His Semblance manifested a little late than most people. However, as darkness tends to be viewed as something "evil" by most, he is likewise viewed as something really dangerous. This doesn't amuse him any little bit. If anyone automatically stereotype him as evil because he controls darkness and shadows, he is quick to rebut that darkness is nothing but the absence of light. "And if I'm here, maybe this place is lacking some light. So I guess, you're the one sucking every light out in here."

He will go great lengths to prove that he is not evil, despite what his semblance might represent. He is wholly good person, but this personality of his is only driven by his need to prove that darkness is everything but bad.

Appearance: see above pic

Semblance: Umbrakinesis or literally "darkness motion".

Note: Level 6 and Level 7 skills can only be utilized by Rollen inside the Shadow Bubble or during nighttime.

Level 1- Shadow Forms

Rollen can summon forms of varying forms using shadows or any form of darkness. However, this forms lacks the proper strength to do huge damages.

Level 2- Shadow Bubble
Rollen can block out light sources. While he cannot completely block out solar light, he can temporarily create a room or a "bubble" where no light can enter, obscuring 100% vision for everybody, including Rollen.

Level 3- Shadow Adaptation

After removing all light source inside an area, Rollen can quickly adapt to the dark surroundings as he is able to see naturally around. His senses are heightened inside the area and can move normally as if there is perfect illumination around. He can also do physical combat if needed. Also, his Shadow Bubble area is continuing to exponentially grow.

Level 4.1- Helldogs

Rollen can now create forms with a definite shape and figure. Usually, Rollen prefers the canine forms to induce fear and do damage to his enemies. These dogs are usually four feet long with large teeth.

Level 4.2- Shadowportation

Rollen, to an extent, can teleport from one shadow to another. Although he cannot travel long distances, his mastery over this skill will increase the range as he slowly learns to utilize his darkness control.

Level 5- Shadowcloaking

Rollen can turn invisible when he is surrounded by shadows, during nighttime, or inside his bubble. He is completely undetectable. However, this wears Rollen out considerably so he can only use it for a limited amount of time per use, usually lasting about five minutes.

Level 6- Nyctophobia

The darkness is one of the greatest fears of the human mind. By manipulating said darkness, Rollen can instill fear in the minds of people as he chooses. However, this has no long lasting effect in combat as adrenaline usually pushes fear away.

Level 7- Marionette

By utilizing all of his skills (shadow control, nyctophobia, shadowcloaking), Rollen can assume control of a person's motor abilities via fear and mental suggestion. While a controlled person still has control over his/her Semblances, it is up to Rollen if he will utilize it. Hugo usually uses it on his allies and remotely control them in combat.

Weapon (If Any): He wears a Dust-infused ring on his right hand that allows him to control his Semblance. Also, he carries an épée around which doesn't control his Semblance in any way possible.

(Secondary character SU!)

Name: Lana....JUST Lana

Age: 19 (she didn't bother to speak up before)

Gender: Female

Race: Gorilla Faunus

Personality:
  • Speaks almost exclusively in sign language.
  • As quiet in her actions as she is in her words most of the time, so much so that when she does speak everybody can't help but shut up and hang on her every word.
  • Intelligent
  • Reserved
  • Analytical
  • Warm
  • Internally sarcastic
  • Lazy
  • Nearly impossible to ruffle, but if she does get angry she's absolutely terrifying.
Appearance: Seven feet tall (despite actual gorillas usually being shorter than full-grown humans), with milk chocolatey brown skin and very muscular without being bulky. She has a distinctly prominent brow and almost never smiles, making it appear as if her face is stuck in a near-permanent scowl. However her hazel-brown eyes almost always have such a gentle warmth to them that it's hard to tell what kind of mood she's in. Otherwise she looks mostly human, except for her practically bulging forearms and prehensile feet that shoes just don't work well for. Her forearms are also covered in soft grey-black fur, which is why she is nearly always wearing a pale yellow long-sleeved sweater (she's very insecure about having hairy arms). She often keeps her sleek raven hair on a ponytail that stops just between her shoulder blades, and only unties it on the rare occasions when she's feeling wild. She wears nothing on her feet and usually has her legs covered by simple, but form-fitting blue jeans.

Semblance: Auralmancy
Lana can manipulate sounds, either by making just about any sound she's ever heard before appear out of thin air, or taking away an individual's ability to make any sort of noise. As her power grows the diversity and intensity of her semblance both grow dramatically, with time she could learn to make an entire area within a certain radius of her completely silent as if in a vacuum, with no sound whatsoever allowed to exist unless she wills it. She can also amplify sounds, but she almost never does, she prefers a bit of peace and quiet.

Weapon: A microphone that she never seems to use, just preferring to smash things with her bare hands.

what's "orientation" btw?

Orientation is in this case the act of introduction to a new system. They are being orientated to the teams and school schedule.

Orientation can also be your bearing i.e. the direction you face be it north, south, east or west. Your orientate yourself to your surroundings and know which way is which etc.

Furthermore, no SUs have been declined as of yet. Enjoy your chars and npcs!

So I showed some vague interest to Foxy via Skype and he got excited... then he made me excited. Then I decided I had to make a character. So here we go... Tenerus Stone for your analysis.

Also if accepted, I'm totally okay with being a solo team guy... or just being lumped in with an existing team. So long as they're active. Whatever works.

Age:
Teneris is 21 years old.

Gender:
Teneris is male.

Race:
Teneris is a Komodo Dragon Faunus.

completely-nonsense.regular.png

The merciful knight. A young man who disdains the act of violence, yet will not hesitate if provoked to draw a weapon and defend the innocent. While fighting is not morally correct, it is necessary, while the will to hurt must never be present, hurt must still be instilled into thine enemies. Such principles are the path that one of a gentle heart must follow in their efforts to defend those whom are dear to them. In a World where his family and friends are too weak to protect themselves... Tenerus took the only answer he saw available at the time. A calm and collected man whom has perhaps lost too much for one so young, Tenerus gives off the immediate impression of one who has resolved to overcome the hardship of life for himself and others. There is no true evil to his motives, no darkness to his ideals, no selfish desires to his cause apart from the will to keep those he holds dear alive. He is a paramount example of the merits of chivalry.

In general Tenebrus appears to be calm and soft-spoken, he disdains confrontation and conflict and prefers to deal with most all situations diplomatically unless conflict is otherwise unavoidable. He does not possess the personality one might expect from the strong and large animal of poison and power that he is so directly linked to... as by his philosophy he believes that power can be used to protect, even if it was created to destroy. Socially speaking he's a bit of an oddball, often sitting alone in the corner and reading his favorite stories over actually talking to anyone. This isn't because he doesn't like people, he simply doesn't want to impose himself on others and prefers to take the mantra that if someone wishes to speak to him then they shall. He doesn't mind solitude at all.

In his own mind he is rather reserved, he questions himself occasionally, his ability, his prowess, he wonders if he is destined to do anything but fail... but such dark thoughts are aspects that he quickly dispels. Do not take him for one who lacks in confidence that can be easily manipulated or swayed. His resolve is iron and his belief in the path he has taken is absolute, he will not be pushed around or walked over as a paving stone on the road of anothers future and should someone directly impede his progress then he WILL act against them. In combat he is a different beast entirely, with an unfeeling expression and a powerful precision. If Tenerus has resolved to fight at all, then he has already decided that there is no hope for his opponent to reach a peaceful resolution... he has, at this point, steeled himself against remorse and pity and he will react as such in his movements and attacks.

Tenerus does not despise humans, despite the fact that many humans might despise him. When he was a young child he had a close friend, a human boy with an open mind and an open heart. They played for hours on end without any care in the World... they boy knew Teneris was a faunus, Teneris knew the boy to be human... and they did not care. There was peace found in equality and rather than fight back with brutality Teneris believes in his heart that with time and patience, everyone might just find a way to get along one day.

However...

The fate of that boy... has lodged a permanent scion of doubt in the heart of this belief. This doubt has lead to a darker side of Tenerus just waiting to be jolted to life. Aggressive, remorseless and ferocious as a Komodo Dragon should be. This inner strength has begun to affect his semblance and soon will show itself as another stance during the young mans combat.

completely-nonsense.regular.png

On the offset it is very difficult to tell that Tenerus is a faunus when he is fully clothed. He has a somewhat more elegant and angular face than the average human which gives a sense of unease to "normal" people when he stands among them. But there is nothing so noticeable at a glance that reveals him to be what he is. He has slightly pursed lips and a somewhat pointed nose that gives his face an image of nobility, his family often sent him out to purchase supplies and groceries town... since he was the one to receive the least abuse and discrimination, all those apart from those whom knew his family personally passing him off as another face in the crowd. His faunus features appear more prominently on the parts of his body that remain covered.

From the base of his spine, running up his back and ending at the back of his neck are a palette of thick black scales. By letting his hair grow out and wearing coats and cloaks with high collars or hoods he can easily cover his neck from people whom would look for such things. His arms and legs too are covered by occasional splotches of those same black scales and the nails on both hand and feet are as ivory talons. To hide these away he is always wearing full mail gauntlets and greaves. He is not ashamed of his status as a faunus, not by any stretch of the imagination, however being easily mistaken as a human can have its advantages.

The easiest way to spot that he is a faunus at a glance are his eyes. A dull yellow shining brightly in certain lights, his black pupils are the slits of a lizard... but the careful placement of his hood and a refrain of direct eye contact limits any problems from this feature.

In terms of clothing, Tenerus is always dressed for battle. He wears what seems to be a more casual level of clothing on the top layer. With a white-blue trench coat and a long pair of dark pants, but beneath this covering is a thick set of form hugging armor, a full chainmail suit covered by very thin plates of high quality steel. In order to avoid restricted movement due to sag, he uses black leather belts to tie his pants close to his greaves. This can be passed off as a fashion statement and the only physical sign upon his legs that he is wearing any armor at all are his lower greaves or "shoes". His right arms was badly injured in a fight long ago and he doesn't possess much strength in it at all. As such it goes without a gauntlet and instead sticks to a plain covering of chainmail and a jacket sleeve. Much as he tried to hide the gauntlet underneath the fabric of his coat, he found it night impossible to do effectively. As such the only fully visible section of his defence is the armor reaching from the tip of his left hand to the top of his left shoulder. Polished blue steel, like the rest of his suit, it rarely if ever scratches while remaining flexible enough at the joints to allow for precise movements.

Around his neck, Tenerus wears a small blue pendant with a wing motif. A single sapphire is encased in the center and the craftsmanship is very intricate for something so small. The origin of said piece of apparel is a mystery as the trinket seems to have no relation to dust, nor to Tenerus' semblance. Rather in fact, Tenerus seems to use no dust whatsoever in order to manifest or aid his natural abilities or otherwise.

completely-nonsense.regular.png

Semblance: Draco Blade

"Through the spirit and power of a great Lizard, the power to manifest the most powerful and artful sword techniques awakens in Tenerus. However such a focus on pure melee combat render him unable to use Dust of any sort for combat purposes. The Semblance will also grow weaker if Tenerus uses any weapon other than his sword... be it alone or in tandem with his blade."

Level 1 - Scale Crest:
A stern resolve to protect his people, coupled with a great strength and resolve in battle paved the way for the "Draco Blade" semblance to awaken in Tenerus. So long as Tenerus is able to manifest sufficient will and stamina and so long as he does not engage in any form of attack to break his stance, then Tenerus can let his instincts take over in order to become a veritable brick wall. His sword arm will move on a nigh exact impulse, parrying most physical attacks aimed at his person with impressive speed and (unless facing an opponent with considerably more strength than he has, or an opponent who is too fast to block) blocking the attack in question with severely reduced damage taken. While being defensive, Tenerus is able to move very slowly but with great difficulty. The great amount of focus and concentration this requires from Tenerus also allows him to unknowingly resist psychic attacks or semblances aiming to break into his mind.

Level 2 - Komodo Venom:
As Tenerus hones his semblance to a higher level of strength he will notice a buff to the usage of all prior effects and more. In addition to his defense, when attacking, his strength, speed and agility will increase to even further levels than his natural Faunus status would have allowed. His defense will also expand, allowing him to move his blade at a much faster speed than before as well as having a higher threshold of damage that can be nullified.

Level 3 - Stance Divide:
Tenerus becomes aware of definite divide in his abilities. The further offensive strength and defensive position splitting into two alternate stances. While his strength and offense grow even more powerful, he is only able to make use of these effects by shunning any and all defensive instinct. Conversely while his defensive form is all inclusive and protects him with even more efficiency than before, all added attack power and strength are null while using his protection. Since each stance requires such a high level of commitment and concentration... it is impossible for Tenerus to swap between one form to another in the heat of battle. Limiting him to a single form on a fight by fight basis.

Level 4 - Komodo Bound:
Tenerus' precision and speed increases in both stances. Allowing him to block many attacks much faster than before as well as becoming a ravenous force while attacking, able to give chase to and pin down foes with speed a good deal greater than that of the average man.

Level 5 - Komodo Talon:
In his offensive stance Tenerus' gains access to a powerful forward slash that takes a bit of build-up, but is capable of slicing straight through steel beams when hit correctly. The attack does leave Tenerus open for a few seconds before the attack hits however. In defensive stance, Tenerus gains the ability to block any attack of equal or lesser power to his Talon strike without fail... however after the attack is blocked he becomes fatigued and is open for a few seconds.

Level 6 - Dragons Wrath:
Tenerus masters the offensive aspect of his semblance. His offensive stance is possessing of great yet not unlimited power, despite this the increase to his strength is very slight. The true purpose of this rank is in how it removes Tenerus' fatigue. Becoming more Lizard-like, his flesh turning dark and forming black scales. He does not sweat, tire nor fatigue until he is beaten into submission or until his opponent is defeated.

Level 7 - Mastery: Dragons Hearts:
Tenerus perfects his defensive stance and gains an undeniable amount of power. His two stances merge into one, granting him full range of movement as well as all of his defensive and offensive abilities at all times. His black scales begin to glow with a pale blue aura as they cover his body. His blocking capabilities have been infused with his very aura and can block all manner of attack so long as he is focused even allowing him to cut bullets right out of the air.

Weapon: White Dragon Fang
An extended longsword measuring in at roughly 135 inches and made out of a heavy metal that requires a tremendous strength to wield effectively. Teneris has spent most of his training to effectively wield this heavy weapon in one hand. There are no petty secret abilities to this weapon... it does not conceal any form of firearm. It is not infused with dust. It is nothing but sharpened alloy held in the hand of a man trained to use it to the fullest and greatest effect. Tenerus would have it no other way. The blade was a gift passed down from his father through generations, a surviving relic of ancient times and still a weapon so deadly and effective that it matches any of the more technology reliant weapons of the modern hunting era. The guard upon the upper hilt is finned downwards rather than across, allowing Teneris to slip past an opponents blade, rather than catch it, making it easier to preform non-lethal counter attacks.

Deceptio has been accepted.

By the way, where are you planning on starting? Because by the sounds of it you're planning for Beacon Academy to start. If you do start there, please note, that your character will struggle. It's guaranteed. This would be like picking Hard Mode... Where Normal mode is frustratingly insane to begin with. Starting at Beacon would place your character at a higher risk of death than normal.

Of course, it's not impossible (that would be silly) and if you're up for writing it go for it, would be hella interesting and could make for some cool interaction for Elke.

Also, the mechanics for death are semi-rng, but heavily weighted by your posts, character level and circumstance. The random chance of something failing is there for more... Realism. Right now, I have no idea how the weighting will go since I've yet to establish the first event or see how characters are developing (damn it people POST), but the chances aren't high in normal cases, and starting at Beacon as a Faunus doesn't increase the risk super dramatically.

Just a bit of clarification there since I never actually explained this in this OOC, but rather in the Dust chat. So now you know!

EDIT: If your character doesn't struggle or appears too strong for the difficulty it should be, I'll let you know :P

Thank you for the acceptance... yes I plan for Tenerus to be a part of Beacon Academy under the guise of a human.~

Do not worry, I'll be sure to adjust difficulty accordingly. He'll suit his spot.

Eep, double post, sorry.

Here are the NPCs for Tenerus' team at Beacon! All in one neat little package.

~~~
completely-nonsense.regular.png
Name:
Sullivan KruxHeart
Liara Daphone
Lucinda Teras
Age:
Sullivan is 20 years old.
Liara is 19 years old.
Lucinda is 17 years old.
Gender:
Sullivan is male.
Liara and Lucinda are both Female.
Race:
All Human.
completely-nonsense.regular.png
Sullivan:
Energetic, lively and full of heart. He fights for what he believes in at all costs despite sometimes being a little too innocent for his own good. He isn't much of a thinker and prefers to let his heart, body and soul guide the way. His motto is "Charge in first and the questions won't matter!". He likes to play the fool to get laughs and sometimes it becomes a little eerily obvious that he understands more about what's going on than it seems. He holds a deep hatred for the Faunus... though nobody knows why, most assume it's the casual racism of the norm... but Tenerus sees more to it. There's a shroud of cruel and realism and understanding behind such an innocent laugh and smile.
Liara:
Dutiful yet hotheaded. Always itching for a fight and you can bet that she doesn't care about who the opponent is. She has to be mellowed out by the more reserved members of the group and she's known to throttle Sullivan quite regularly... though he keeps tormenting her besides. She doesn't really possess a lot of disdain for Faunus and doesn't really care who's who and what's what in terms of race and culture. She loves eating meat and she remains a bit of a tomboy... yet for some reason she always appears so feminine. With floral headpieces, perfect make-up and a sense of fashion. The girl likes to look good, yet the minute she eats, speaks or fights... the illusion is instantly shattered. Deep down she cares deeply for her teammates, Sullivan especially despite the hard time she gives him. Tenerus has noticed that when not throttling him, she often shoots him a longing glance or two.
Lucinda:
A quiet young girl who talks less often than she strikes with a sword on a day to day basis. Almost entirely mute apart from the very rare circumstance... she was apparently raised by a family living far out the country who practiced fighting using tricky tactics and blades that could change length at will. Her opinions on Faunus are unknown as she rarely shows reaction to them... or to anything else really. Her one soft spot is for cute and cuddly things, which cause her to squee and clap like an excited child. She gives Tenerus curious looks very often, as if examining him. She knows much more than anyone will ever realize.
completely-nonsense.regular.png
Sullivan - Slice n' Pow:
While not the most... imaginative name. Sullivan's high caliber gunblade is far from primitive. A standardized longsword with high power single shot long range fire mechanisms built into the blade. This sword can cut you up and blow you away just as the name suggests. In the hilt lies a capsule of fire dust, which can be harnessed to increase the blades explosive power when firing rounds.
Liara - Sky Blue Strike:
A technologically advanced weapon designed to be able to harness multiple kinds of dust at once. At the core is fire dust, surrounded by water dust which courses through the blade in order to aid her semblance. While taking the shape of a sword it has no actual edge... it is however made of hard metal pieces and can be used rather efficiently as a bludgeoning weapon. Cracking skulls, breaking ribs, shattering femurs... it's good at smashing things of the internal nature and that's just the way Liara likes it. It has a single on the non-bashing side that allows steam to be released in relation to her semblance.
Lucinda - Serenity and Macabre:
A pair of what look to be ordinary katanas, one with a pleasing green hilt and another, usually hidden from sight, with a dark black leather hilt... built fur surprise. Speaking of surprise that is one factor that these weapons ace spectacularly. While they seem to be normal blades, they are actually built upon a complex mechanism that allows them to extend and retract at will, being able to double their initial length of 1 meter as well as being able to half that in turn. For someone as trained in their use as Lucinda, this effect is activated with the flick of a wrist and the frequent and seemingly random shifts in length (from the opponents perspective) can lead to many unwitting foes falling victim to brutal lacerations that "should have been an inch off".
completely-nonsense.regular.png
Sullivan - Sudden Momentum:
By pushing his hands forward or by slicing his sword at the right angle. Sullivan can produce a powerful wave of kinetic force that can push objects about with excessive strength. While not exactly wind, it feels this way when making contact and has similar properties. At his current level Sullivan can push objects and individuals with the force of a strong shove. However at higher levels the strength, radius and range of the ability will increase. Sullivan will also gain the ability to use his semblance in unique and interesting ways, such as aiming blasts of kinetic energy at the ground to force himself upwards and focusing the energy in a thin slash of his sword to cleave through tough terrain. At it's highest levels, Sullivan will be capable of firing a high velocity blast of energy capable of piercing through thick armor from his gunblade... akin to an extremely high speed sniper round... but more powerful and with zero recoil.
Liara - Steam Vent:
In the core of Liara's weapon is a canister of pure ref fire dust, surrounded by a constant influx of blue water dust. This allows Liara to channel her Semblance to the furthest effect by creating "Steam Dust" from the two components. The steam is used for a number of functions, however for now at the base level it can only really be used to propel herself forward as well as adding a very sudden increase in speed to slower strikes with her blade... by venting steam in the middle of a swing the attack goes from snail slow to panther fast in the blink of an eye. Making Liara's attacks very difficult to defend against and predict. At higher levels Liara will be able to fire concentrated beams of boiling steam to burn her enemies, she'll have the ability to open up pours on the body and to cleanse wounds to aid in medical treatments and by releasing a large amount of steam at once she will be able to create an effective smoke screen. At the highest of levels Liara will be able to rupture and disturb steam geysers beneath the Earth by driving her sword hard into the ground beneath her feet... yielding rather volcanic results.
Lucinda - Localized Gravity:
Lucinda is capable of altering the gravity directly surrounding herself allowing her to "fall" in any direction she so chooses. The base power of this ability alone is rather useful, it allows her to walk on walls and rooftops for espionage and sneak attacks that land with ease. It's important to remember however that she is not immune to falling and that if she suddenly wishes to land on a wall twenty feet away, she'll probably break something. The ability is also somewhat mentally straining and cannot be maintained for long at base level. At higher levels of this ability a lot of these drawbacks are removed, the mental strain grows fainter with progressive use... allowing for a longer period of use each time. At ever further rankings, Lucinda is capable of changing the gravity of not only herself, but of inanimate objects as well, through this method she can move objects freely through the realms of space, the larger the object however, the greater the strain to change and maintain the shifted gravity of said object. Once mastered, Lucinda will be able to fall any distance without taking damage by lowering the intensity of the gravity surrounding her at will... thus reducing her velocity. She will never be able to change the localized gravity of another living individual.
