Ultimate Monotype Challenge Thread

I've been wanting to start over on Emerald and I can use this as a fun way to do it!! I would love to be signed up please, ^__^

Also a question, is it alright if I capture pokemon of other types just to store in my PC boxes(but never touch them otherwise) in order to migrate them to Platinum later?

Update #5: Okay, been a long time from my last update but between the two Rocket bases and not having a lot of time, I am now finished that part.
-After defeating the Celeadon gym, I took out the Rocket hideout in the game corner
-Defeated Team Rocket boss(can't spell his name) and received the Silph Scope
-Defeated Rival(water)in the Pokemon Mansion in Lavender Town
-Defeated Cubone's Mother
-Saved Mr.Fuiji
-Obtained the Pokeflute
-Defeated every Team Rocket member I could find in the Silph Building
-Defeated Rival at the Silph Building
-Obtained Lapras for HM slave
-Defeated Team Rocket boss again
-Obtained the Master Ball
-Defeated the Fighting Dojo
-Took Hitmonlee because I like it more(am not using it though)
-Defeated Saffron City gym

Ultimate Monotype Challenge Rock

Kanto

Defeated Rival at Pokemon Tower and saved the old man at the top (forgot his name).
Took down Snorlax
Caught a Rhyhorn.
Defeated Koga.
Kicked Team Rocket out of Silph Co.
Took down Sabrina followed by Erika.
Revived the two Fossils I had.

Just beat Lance on my Flying run of Crystal and became the Champion :D . Sadly I realised that I've been recording wrong and that only my battles against Bruno, Karen and Lance were actually filmed properly (I wasn't AVI recording, schoolboy error :P ) but I guess most of the Gym battles weren't too great aside from me sweeping Clair with a Lv.35 Butterfree and nothing else, only getting attacked once in the whole battle :P .

Anyway, here's the Champion team:

Okay, so I'm gonna say now that I'm still doing this challenge. But it should be pointed out right now that I am most likely not going to update often, due to the simple fact that I am really no fan of the whole updating business. Even so, I do want to be listed as one of the competitors in this challenge and I'm dropping in now, so don't boot me off the list for inactivity.

Alright! its been awhile since my last update but i have good news! i have completed leaf green!

and now for an events cronologue. i forgot where i left off so ill start with celadon and afterword

-crushed the rockets in the game corner.
-beasted on erika
-found a random lvl 38 grimer in some water so i caught and evolved it
-went back to lavender and after some thought caught a gastly
-beat everyone in the tower, gastly evolved
-beat everyone on cycling road
-swept koga's whole gym with haunter
-went to cinnabar, caught a tentacool, than evolved it
-swept blaines gym with tentacruel
-went to islands with bill for some training for sabrina
-went to saffron and destroyed the rockets again
-my golbat crushed the fighting dojo
-had some difficulty with sabrina but won because of haunter and golbat
-swept giovannis gym with venasaur
- beat rival
-went through victory road
- somehow beat loreli
-had no trouble with bruno or agitha
-tentacruel did quite a number on lance and nidoking finished up the rest
-and beasted on rival once again for the final victory!

Update:
After many runs through the E4 (I stopped counting on 7) my team was finally prepared to challenge Red. Or at least I thought so...
I had not caught a Pokemon, which could learn Rock Climb.
So I searched for a Golduck.
After my team was backed up by one, I entered Mt. Silver.
I run through the cave, not knowing where to go. Accidentally I stumbled upon Lavados, but left it unharmed. My mission was another one.
Finally I reached Red.

His Pikachu was no real match for Jumpluff.
Leech Seed, surviving his Volt Tackle, Giga Drain -> Pikachu fainted.

Next one was Lapras. That one was tough. It finished Jumpluff and Pidgeot off with just one Blizzard. Gyarados was able to defeat it with some Bites.

Then came Snorlax. Damn that fatty. His Blizzard was nearly as strong as Lapras's one. I sent in Golduck to revive my fallen heroes and with the combined power of Jupluffs Leech Seed and Skarmorys Steel Wings Snorlax was ultimately defeated.

Charizard fought bravely, but was no match for Gyarados' Surfer.

Blastoise came up with a bad Blizzard against Jumpluff, but before my little Flower was able to set Leech Seed and Poison on it. I revived Jumpluff and one final Giga Drain finished Blastoise off.

Venosaur took a Ice Fang from Gyarados, but defeated it after that. Skarmory flew to victory.

So, as you can see......

It was an interesting and demanding challenge. I had a great time with some Pokemon I usually do not use and it was worth every minute.

Hey hey. I'll be doing an Ultimate Fighting Monotype Challenge, in games Fire Red, Crystal, Ruby, and Platinum probably.
Things SHOULD be pretty quick, because since my DS is bein sketchy lately and Lord knows where my GB is, I'll be doing most of these on emulators. <3 Superspeed.

Hmmmm I always lose interest in GSC once I reach Kanto :/ I think I'll stop recording the Gyms as they're unspectacular and just focus on getting to Red and whupping him, saves time :) I'll record the battle against him of course, expect a link soonish :P .
