Have you ever tried submitting a short story to a magazine? There's a lot of opportunities out there for both physical and digital submissions, but until now I'd never really thought about trying my luck at one of them. I'm currently struggling to write a short entry for a magazine called the first line as my first attempt since it's got the furthest deadline at the moment and they give you the first line of your story as the prompt.
