Can someone PLEASE tell me what the official SOS Pokemon Ultra Sun and Moon shiny rates are? Is it the one where after 70 encounters the rates increase where maximum is 255 or is it after 30 encounters the max is reached?? I have been SOS hunting a shiny Pikipek for I kid you not, the last 2 days and I have not found a single one. I want to know if I should give up or not.

Shrugs. Released no official information. (Said 70 for the maximum odds on the official website previously, supposedly. Removed it later.) Would not know how to parse datamined information directly.

Presumes the one capping after 30 calls to be correct. Evidently debunked the 70-255 chain maximum odds data. Found a video talking about it. Never explained why, however. Cannot definitively say one way or another, consequently.

Spoilered the different claims below, for those curious.
Spoiler: Claim 1

0-69 chain length: Unknown
70-255 chain length: 1/1024 (1/683)

(Shiny charm odds in parentheses.)

Spoiler: Claim 2

0-10 chain length: 1/4096 (1/1366)
11-20 chain length: 1/820 (1/585)
21-30 chain length: 1/455 (1/373)
31+ chain length: 1/315 (1/273)

(Shiny charm odds in parentheses.)

Calculated the odds of not obtaining a shiny Pokemon in a chain of 50 using Claim 2's data.
(1 - (1/4096))^10 * (1 - (1/820))^10 * (1 - (1/455))^10 * (1 - (1/315))^20
= 0.9046
Fails to obtain a shiny Pokemon 90.46% of the time without the shiny charm.
(Alternatively: 9.54% chance of at least one shiny.)

(1 - (1/1366))^10 * (1 - (1/585))^10 * (1 - (1/373))^10 * (1 - (1/273))^20
= 0.8828
Fails to obtain a shiny Pokemon 88.28% of the time with the shiny charm.
(Alternatively: 11.72% chance of at least one shiny.)

Takes a while, even with the kinder odds.

Edit: Noticed something interesting. Lists Claim #1's odds on Serebii's Sun/Moon SOS page and Claim #2's 30+ chain odds on Serebii's Ultra Sun/Moon page. Adds to the murkiness of the information.

the above poster answered your question, but i just wanted to add that shiny hunting requires patience. two days tbh is very little time so i'd suggest keeping at it and seeing what happens~ i remember it taking me nearly a week to SOS chain my shiny staryu lol

As stated 2 days is nothing.
I haven't gotten into the SOSing in US yet as I'm working on hatching a shiny Rowlett but thus far my shiny hunts in all games have taken me a minimum of 2 weeks to produce success but I have had hunts that have lasted a month or more.
