I'm just glad that it still does its job well at being a phone as phones should. Not fall apart.

It was actually the first phone I've used that didn't fell apart trying to render desktop pages with a crash or running out of memory.

I got a sad Christmas story to tell you guys.

My sister got an iPod for Christmas. She was so excited that she opened it and her iPod fell on the ceramic floor, and the screen broke. And now she is playing Angry Birds on a broken iPod.

The End.

Aside from that, the past two days I've been living under the label of tech support because of the new devices most of my family members got. I had to deal with a laptop that had two viruses that were difficult to remove, and I also tested out the Kindle Fire. I'm surprised that piece of crap doesn't have language support :|

Makes me wonder about glass screens and how fragile they are... My phone is not broken yet. (Please don't break.)

Out of curiosity, what were the malware that gave you a hard time?

I find it a bit strange that a modern mobile device doesn't have language options.

Also, speaking of language options and supports, Windows Phone seems to roll with "just include everything that we have at this point of time". The newer the handset, the more languages and keyboards it supports - but that's what the phone will have for its lifetime. Also comes with very specific regional settings, as if it were a Windows PC.

I'm still waiting on finding a case for my Lumia 520.. my dad bought me a case for a Lumia 521 without looking, and the 521 is a tad different than the 520.

Are you able to return it? Sometimes it's easy to confuse similar phone models.

Yeah, my mom took it to UPS today to return it. Hopefully it can be refunded and we're looking at a case now specifically for the 520.

What kind of case are you looking for, by the way?

How about screen protectors?

By the way, seeing as you're now a Windows Phone user, I thought that it might be a good idea to introduce you to Windows Phone Central. It's basically a place for... everything Windows Phone, and then some.

Two Trojan horses. Almost killed the computer. The first thing my aunt did after she got the computer as a gift was to let her son borrow it, and he decided to download a crapload of "free" software that were instead viruses. The anti-virus was off for some reason, so after cleaning the whole system by killing the infected files and restoring the system to its factory settings, the comp was brand new again. I feel for her as she couldn't get on Chrome, it was full of porn. S___S

The Kindle Fire *should* have a language tool that changes the software language from English to Spanish, unless she has a much older device that would only change the language if I restore the device to factory settings. I'm not as familiar with the Kindle Fire myself so I've been searching for answers lmao

Just opened up VLC to pick up the Ottawa Senators stream for tonight, anyone else notice this?

Not sure how long it lasts for, or when it started. XD

Ahh, the Santa hat VLC icon. In the official VLC builds, it shows from December 18th through January 1st.

My phone's got a bunch of cracks in it, the biggest one from when my dad took his boot to it and practically smashed the charging mechanism to smithereens. I'm just glad it's not cutting me. :/

I really hate that Santa hat VLC icon. I wanna turn it off… but how?

Makes you wonder where the heck her son was downloading from...

I saw no mention of torrenting, and they do have a huuuge virus infested Rapidshare section.

Speaking of which, I really should stop using Microsoft Security Essentials.

I'm too lazy to resub Norton, though. Not when it covers too many PCs - I think I'll buy a new sub for one PC.

Paying for AV is really pointless. Go for Avast free.

MSE is fine enough to cover the basics. I use it with Malwarebytes, and despite the trouble I had the other day, my PC hasn't fallen victim to anything super evil yet.

It also comes with a massive performance hit.

Antimalware solutions have to strike a balance between protection, usability, and performance. I'm not a very patient man when it comes to computers, and I would pay if it means having all three.

MSE and the occasional Malwarebytes scan for me.. and I've managed to stay protected for over a year now. :)

Anyways, I'm probably going to have to charge my phone overnights now.. I left it running at near full battery overnight and now it was near empty battery when I woke up. My iPod Touch nor my tablet discharge that quickly at all.
