Pokémon Team X
Hi there, i am Cloud and i am living in germany. I want to introduce you to my custom Pokémon Game and need your advice and critics to develop it even further.
So i will start with a short description what you could expect in this game and at the end i will post some questions and ideas where i need your help.
Introduction
Do you ever think about Team Rocket as a weak organisation and should be alot more stronger and more active?
Your wish could be come true in Pokemon Team X.
So in short you as the protagonist will revive Team Rocket and will recreate it to its former glory.
You will explore a whole new region in the good old looking of FireRed.
The game will be made with the latest Essentials 17.
At this state of developing i need some ideas and critics about my ideas and further gameplay mechanics, so i hope you could help me.
Story
Starter Pokemon
I am not sure at this part. To remember of the "classic team rocket", specially James and Jessie i have decided to give the player the choice between:
Meowth
Koffing
Ekans
They are not bad Pokémon, but they will have a hard start and the evolutions might not be strong enough to compete with other catchable Pokemon.
Mechanics/Specials/Features
Steal Pokemon in Battle with the new "Rocket Ball". (It will be an upgradeable new type of Pokeball with increasing chance of catching Trainer Pokemon)
Recruit Trainers and special people after you convinced them to join (with force(enough influence or stealing on of their pokemon)
Conquer/Create new bases for your team to expand your member capacity.
You could decide which one of your new members will get the new aquired jobs.(gymleader, marketleader)
Steal/Burglary Quests
Battle against characters of the original Red/Blue Timeline
Meet and recruit old member of the Team Rocket elite
Pokemon will always follow your command
No HM slaves needed
Pokémon catchable until gen six
Overworld sprites indicates the catchable Pokémon

Story
Spoiler:
You as the protagonis starts in the small city of Koras in the Panro Region. The professor of the city and the gymleader doesnt realy like you. You are stuborn, violent, agressive and your only goal is to seek for more power and wealth. Because of this they have decided to not give you an starter pokemon because the fear the fact that you could be uncontrolable or would mistreat your Pokemon for the sake of power and glory.
As you get rejected from Professor Valois at the beginning of the story you will seek out for an new opportunity in the local "evil" organisation. In the following dialog the player will get the information that Lothar and Peter are former member of Team Rocket and want to rebuild it. So you decide to join them and follow their lead and guides. You will receive your first Pokémon and start with the quest of defeating gyms and all other parties who stands in the way of your new Team. To achieve this, you will be asked the recruit new members, steal Pokemon, blackmail the people and to conquer Gyms, Markets and other building to expanse the influence.
Naturally at some point the will be a strong resistent to your goal and more and more parties want to stop your ambitions of conquer the Panro region.
So new alliances will form against you. Gymleaders, the Elite Four, the Police, and some characters from Pokemon Red and Blue will appear to stop you.

The Rival or the counterpart trainer:
I am not sure if i should choose one of the town inhabitants of Koras Stadt to be the Rival or some character of the timeline of Red and Blue. He should be a challenge and must operate on the thought to stop you. So he must be a person who treats his Pokemon like Ash. Friendship is everythink, and Pokémon are comrades yareyare.
When will the Rival first appear:
At this state, i plan to introduce the Rival at the second village. So you as the player have atleast some bad reputation from stealing and conquering the frist gym. Is this to late for the appearance?
Steal Pokemon from every trainer:
At this moment its possible to catch every single trainer Pokemon. I have an idea for the counterpart alliance that they will invent a method/item that will stop you in the progress. I think its quit nice and reasonable for them and would make it more intresting.
Ignore Orders:
I plan to wipe out the "Ignore Order" occasion when you fight with a stolen or tradet Pokémon. Because its such a nuisance for the gameplay part. But it should come with a cost for ther player that his Pokémon are not his own. So should i downgrade the expgain to maybe 75 or 50% of the normal or what are your thoughts in this topic?
Balancing of the Early:
Because you could steal the all Pokémon, you could just throw Rocket Balls at every enemy and catch them all to win. The ball its quite expensive 500$ at the start of the game. So should his catchrate be lower than normal Pokéballs?
Language:
As you could see and read i am not a native english speaker. So some parts of the Essentials and the dialogs in the game are in german. Should i consider to completly change it to english?
Difficulty:
What are your preferences in the developing progress? Should it be an steady curve, with an low/medium start and slightly increasing over time. Or should it always be difficult so that you are forced to grind or pick the right counter parts for the gym or event.
